116 - Summer Slowdown: How to Unplug, Rest, and Recharge as a Homemaker12 Jun 202600:30:24

Last week my oven broke. And while I was troubleshooting the problem, I had a moment in my kitchen that I haven't stopped thinking about since, because the fix was so simple, and the reminder was so needed.

Sometimes the best thing we can do isn't add more, try harder, or find a better system. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply unplug.

In this episode, I'm sharing that little oven story and what it reminded me about how we're living, especially as we head into summer after a long, full, demanding season of life.

This episode is for you if you:

  • Are heading into summer feeling tired, maxed out, or completely done
  • Keep pushing through exhaustion instead of actually resting
  • Feel guilty slowing down even when your body and mind are begging you to
  • Want permission to let this summer look and feel a little different
  • Are ready to stop troubleshooting and just... breathe for a while

We'll explore:

  • The oven story that started it all, and the simple fix that changed my thinking
  • Why we weren't designed to run continuously, and what happens when we do
  • The subtle signs that you might be overdue for a reset
  • What summer is quietly inviting us into if we're willing to receive it
  • What unplugging actually looks like in real, everyday home life
  • Why rest isn't a reward you earn, it's what you need
  • How this connects to the Holistic Home Method

Whether you're dreaming of a slower summer or just trying to survive the next few weeks, this episode is here to remind you that you don't have to keep running on empty. The most important thing you can do for your home right now might just be to stop, disconnect, and let yourself reset.

Because just like my oven, you tend to work a whole lot better after a real reset.

Let's give ourselves permission to unplug this summer. You deserve it. And honestly? Your home will thank you for it.

115 - How to Build Home Routines That Actually Stick: Routine Trains & Anchor Times05 Jun 202600:30:23

Summer is just around the corner and schedules are shifting, so if your routines are falling off the rails, you are not alone and you are not the problem.

In this episode, we're talking about one of the most common struggles in homemaking: building routines that actually hold up in real life, especially when seasons and schedules shift. I'm sharing a concept from the Plans & Routines Foundation of the Holistic Home Method called Routine Trains and Anchor Times, two simple concepts that take the pressure off your memory and work with the natural rhythm of your day instead of against it.

This episode is for you if you've ever:

  • Built the perfect routine on paper and forgotten it by Tuesday
  • Felt like your routines fall apart the moment life gets busy or seasons change
  • Wondered if you just lack the discipline or motivation to be consistent
  • Found yourself carrying too many open loops and feeling constantly behind

We'll explore:

  • Why most routines fail, and why it has nothing to do with willpower
  • What Routine Trains are and how connecting your habits changes everything
  • How to make your routines flexible enough to survive real life and seasonal shifts
  • What Anchor Times are and how the transitions already in your day can do the work for you
  • How to rethink your routines as summer approaches so you're working with the season, not fighting it

Whether you're heading into summer with a blank slate or trying to salvage a routine that's already started to unravel, this episode will give you a fresh, practical way to think about building rhythms that actually support your home and your life.

Let's simplify the way we build routines, reduce the mental load, and create a little more flow, one train car at a time.

114 - The Hidden Clutter Nobody Talks About: Time Clutter and the Overscheduled Life29 May 202600:35:37

We talk a lot about clutter in the homemaking world, the piles on the counter, the overflowing closets, the junk drawer that haunts us. But what about the clutter that doesn't show up in your home at all? What about the clutter hiding in your calendar?

In this episode, we're diving into one of the most overlooked forms of clutter I teach inside the Holistic Home Method - time clutter. And I'm sharing a very personal story about a decision our family made a few years ago that gave us back something we didn't even realize we'd lost: margin, presence, and the kind of ordinary days that actually feel like home.

This episode is for you if you've ever:

  • Said yes to something and immediately felt heavier for it
  • Watched your family move through life at a pace that left everyone depleted
  • Wondered why your home still feels chaotic even when the physical clutter is under control
  • Felt the pull of FOMO when you tried to simplify your schedule
  • Sensed that something needs to go, but felt guilty even considering it

We'll explore:

  • The three H's of clutter inside the Holistic Home Method (Head, Heart, and Home) and where time clutter fits in
  • Why time clutter is so hard to recognize, and what makes it different from other kinds of clutter
  • The story of how our family let go of spring sports, and what happened when we did
  • How overscheduling shows up in your mind, your emotions, and your home all at once
  • A simple four-step process for releasing time clutter with intention and without guilt
  • Why the margin you create might be the most important thing you give your family this season

Whether you're running on empty from a schedule that never seems to slow down, or you're in a quieter season and wondering if you're doing enough, this episode is here to remind you that a full calendar is not the same thing as a full life.

You are allowed to let something go. You are allowed to protect the white space. And sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your home is simply to stop filling it with more.

113 - What Do You Do All Day? The Invisible Work and Mental Load of Homemaking22 May 202600:30:46

We talk a lot about why home feels hard. We troubleshoot the systems, we tweak the routines, we reorganize the spaces. But so often, the real reason home feels heavy has nothing to do with any of that, and everything to do with something far less visible.

In this episode, we're talking about the invisible work of home. The mental load. The endless, always-running, never-fully-acknowledged effort that goes into managing a home and family, and why it is so much more than the sum of its tasks.

We're starting with a story you're probably going to recognize: two days spent going through my kids' closets for the seasonal clothing swap. On the surface, it sounds like a simple task. But when you look at everything underneath it, the tracking, the anticipating, the relational awareness, the years of accumulated knowledge, it starts to look a lot more like what it actually is. Real work. Skilled work. Work that deserves to be seen.

This episode is for you if you:

  • Have ever been asked "what do you do all day?" and didn't know how to answer
  • Feel exhausted in a way you can't quite explain or justify
  • Carry most of the mental load in your home and are starting to feel the weight of it
  • Work outside the home and still somehow manage to hold everything together inside it too
  • Have dismissed your own exhaustion because the work you do doesn't come with recognition or a paycheck

We'll explore:

  • What the mental load actually is, and why it's so hard to see, even for the person carrying it
  • A real-life example broken down layer by layer, so you can start to recognize it in your own life
  • Why the work of homemaking has genuine value, whether or not anyone acknowledges it
  • Why sharing or outsourcing the load isn't a nice to have, but rather a necessity
  • What shifts when you finally stop calling it "just life" and start calling it what it is

Whether you're a full-time homemaker, a working mom, or somewhere in between, this episode is here to remind you that the reason home feels hard is not because you're failing. It's because you're carrying something real. And you deserve a home that supports you.

You're not behind. You're not weak. You're not doing it wrong. You're doing an enormous amount of work that mostly goes unseen and today, we're going to see it.

112 - What Is a Holistic Home? The Five Foundations Every Modern Homemaker Needs to Know15 May 202600:28:41

What does it actually mean to create home holistically and why does it matter so much for modern homemakers?

In this episode, we're going back to the foundations. If you've ever felt like you're working hard at home but still feel like something is off, this one is for you.

We're unpacking what holistic homemaking really is, why home has a bigger impact on our wellbeing than most of us realize, and how the Five Foundations of Home, the modern homemaking framework at the heart of everything I teach, can help you move from overwhelmed to genuinely supported.

This episode is for you if you've ever:

  • Felt like you're doing all the things at home, but still feel behind
  • Tried a new system or routine, only to watch it fall apart within weeks
  • Sensed that something is off in your home, but couldn't quite put your finger on what
  • Wondered why surface-level fixes never seem to create lasting change
  • Wanted a clearer, more connected way to approach your home and homemaking

We'll explore:

  • Why home contributes to our wellbeing more than we often give it credit for
  • The five most common challenges modern homemakers face, and why they're all connected
  • What it actually means to create home holistically, and why it changes everything
  • An overview of the Five Foundations of Home: Mindset & Motivation, Release & Reset, Plans & Routines, Design & Décor, and Cyclical Living
  • Why a whole-home approach works when patchwork fixes don't

Whether you're brand new to holistic homemaking or you've been circling this idea for a while, this episode will give you a clear framework for understanding your home and yourself in a whole new way.

Because your home is meant to support you. And when it isn't, that's not a personal failure. It's a signal that something in the system needs attention. Let's figure out what that is together.

111 - Cycle Syncing for Homemakers: Run Your Home With Your Hormones, Not Against Them08 May 202600:28:10

If you've ever had a week where you were completely on top of your home , feeling motivated, capable, and everything is running smoothly. And then the very next week you could barely do the dishes, this episode is for you. Not because something is wrong with you, but because something important has been missing from the conversation about homemaking, and today we're talking about it.

Your energy was never meant to be the same every day. Your body moves in rhythms, in seasons, in cycles. And when we stop fighting that and start working with it, homemaking gets lighter. Not because we're doing less, but because we're finally doing the right things at the right time.

Today we're exploring the connection between your body's natural cycles and the way you run your home, and I'm sharing a simple, compassionate framework called the four inner seasons that can change the way you see yourself as a homemaker.

This episode is for you if you've ever:

  • Felt wildly capable at home one week and completely depleted the next, with no idea why
  • Pushed yourself to follow a routine that worked last week but feels impossible this week
  • Wondered if you're just not consistent enough, not disciplined enough, not trying hard enough
  • Heard of cyclical living but never understood what it actually has to do with your home

We'll explore:

  • Why most homemaking advice is built on a flawed assumption about your energy
  • What cyclical living actually is, and why it matters for modern homemakers
  • The four inner seasons ( winter, spring, summer, and fall ) and what each one asks of you at home
  • What cyclical homemaking looks like in real, practical terms, phase by phase
  • Why this is about more than productivity, and how it can shift the way you see yourself
  • How to begin without overhauling everything or adding one more thing to your plate

Whether you're brand new to the idea of cyclical living or you've been curious about it for a while, this episode is here to remind you that your fluctuating energy is not a flaw. It never was. It's a rhythm. And there is a way of running your home that honors it.

Let's stop fighting our cycles and start coming home to them instead.

110 - Why Your Home Decor Feels Off Even When It Looks Fine: How to Decorate with Intention01 May 202600:29:42

Have you ever finished decorating a room, stepped back, and thought... something still isn't right? You've shopped for it, hunted for pieces, arranged and rearranged until it looked good. And yet something feels off. Not bad. Just not quite what you hoped.

In this episode, we're getting into why that happens, and it has a lot less to do with your decorating skills than you might think.

Years ago, a living room refresh took me way too long to get right, no matter how many times I swapped the rug or rearranged the furniture. And I'm sharing what I finally understood was missing, not just in that room, but in the way most of us approach decorating our homes.

This episode is part of the Design and Decor Foundation of the Holistic Home Method, and today we're starting at the very beginning: the foundational steps that make everything else work.

This episode is for you if you've ever:

  • Decorated a space and still felt like something was missing
  • Found yourself endlessly tweaking a room without knowing why it isn't clicking
  • Bought things you loved individually but couldn't get them to work together
  • Wondered why your home looks fine but doesn't feel like you
  • Designed a space for how it looks rather than how you actually live in it

We'll explore:

  • The two traps most of us fall into when decorating our homes
  • Why following trends and buying without intention leaves us feeling disconnected from our spaces
  • How decorating for looks instead of function creates daily friction you can feel even when you can't name it
  • The three things that change everything: vision, intention, and function
  • What it actually looks like to decorate from the inside out
  • Why your home can be full of beautiful things and still not feel like yours

Whether you're in the middle of a room refresh, feeling stuck in a space that just won't come together, or simply trying to understand why your home doesn't feel the way you hoped, this episode is here to help you see your home differently.

Because the goal was never a perfectly decorated house. It was a home that actually feels like you.

Let's talk about how to get there.

109 - Why Your Home Routine Keeps Falling Apart (And What to Build Instead)24 Apr 202600:30:38

One of the most common frustrations in modern homemaking is routines that just don’t stick.

You start the week with a plan. Maybe you’ve mapped it out beautifully, created a checklist, and finally feel like this is the routine that will work. And for a day or two, it does.

But then life happens.

And suddenly everything falls apart… leaving you wondering what’s wrong with you, why you can’t keep up, and why everyone else seems to have this figured out.

What if it’s not you? What if the real problem isn’t your discipline… but the design of the routine itself?

In this episode, I'm walking you through why routines really fall apart, and what it looks like to build a home plan that actually fits your real life, not some ideal version of it.

This episode is for you if you've ever:

  • Felt like you just can’t “stick to” routines no matter how hard you try
  • Blamed yourself for falling off track or not being consistent
  • Created plans that look good on paper but don’t work in real life
  • Felt overwhelmed by trying to manage your home, time, and energy all at once
  • Wanted a way to create more ease and flow in your home, without rigid rules

We'll explore:

  • Why most routines fall apart (and why it’s not a willpower problem)
  • How “ideal life routines” set you up to fail in real life
  • The impact of your energy, seasons, and nervous system on your routines
  • The powerful reframe from rigid schedules to supportive routines
  • Five simple shifts to build routines that actually fit your life

This episode is a gentle but important reminder that your routine is meant to support your life, not the other way around.

Inside the Holistic Home Method we focus on creating plans and routines that align with your real capacity, your real season, and your real home, so you can move from surviving your days… to actually living them.

Whether you’re starting fresh or rebuilding after things have fallen apart, this conversation will help you approach your routines with more compassion, clarity, and intention.

Because you don’t need to try harder.

You need something that actually works with you.

108 - Why Is Decluttering So Hard? 7 Emotional Blocks Keeping You Stuck17 Apr 202600:38:06

Clutter is one of those things we tend to blame on being busy, disorganized, or just not having enough storage. But what if the real reason your home feels stuck has nothing to do with any of that?

In this episode, we're diving into a concept that completely changed the way I think about clutter and why letting go can feel so hard even when we genuinely want to. We're talking about clutter blocks, seven emotional stories we tell ourselves about our things that keep us from releasing what we no longer use, need, or want.

This framework comes from the work of Tracy McCubbin, a professional organizer and author, and it's one of those ideas I've returned to again and again because it gets to the root of something so many of us experience.

This episode is for you if you have ever:

  • Tried to declutter but kept stalling out without knowing why
  • Felt strangely attached to things you know you don't actually need
  • Held onto items out of guilt, grief, or a sense of obligation
  • Wondered why the practical tips never seem to stick long term
  • Sensed that your clutter is about something deeper than just the stuff

We'll explore:

  • What a clutter block actually is and why naming it changes everything
  • All seven emotional clutter blocks and what each one reveals about our beliefs
  • The underlying stories driving each block, from identity and worth to grief, avoidance, and self-permission
  • Reflection questions to help you identify which blocks might be showing up in your own home
  • A more compassionate and holistic way to approach letting go

Whether your clutter lives in a closet, a garage, a storage unit, or a pile that's been following you from house to house, this episode is here to help you understand what's really going on beneath the surface.

Because when you can name the story, you can finally start to change it.

Let's go beneath the clutter and find out what it's really trying to tell us.

107 - Five Emotional Patterns Creating Stress at Home and How to Change Them10 Apr 202600:32:53

In this episode, we’re going a little deeper and exploring some emotional patterns that quietly shape the way our homes feel.

Often, when we are stressed and our homes feel tense, heavy, or disconnected, we assume it’s about the clutter, the routines, or the never-ending to-do lists.

But what if it’s not just what we’re doing, but how we are thinking about and responding to our homes.

Today, we’re looking at five emotional patterns, introduced as “emotional cancers”, that can slowly erode connection, communication, and the overall atmosphere of our homes.

And more importantly, how we can begin to shift them.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt tension or disconnection in your home, but couldn’t quite name why
  • Found yourself feeling frustrated, critical, or overwhelmed in your daily life at home
  • Compared your home or your capacity to others and felt like you were falling short
  • Felt stuck in cycles of resentment, miscommunication, or emotional distance
  • Desired a home that feels calmer, more connected, and more supportive

We’ll explore:

  • The five emotional patterns that quietly create stress at home (criticizing, complaining, comparing, competing, and contending)
  • How these patterns show up in everyday homemaking and relationships
  • Why these behaviors are often signals of deeper overwhelm, unmet needs, or disconnection
  • The impact these patterns have on the emotional safety and energy of your home
  • Simple, practical ways to begin replacing these patterns with more supportive and connected ways of relating

Because homemaking is not just about what we clean, organize, or decorate…

It’s about the emotional environment we create through our thoughts, our words, and our responses.

When we begin to shift these patterns, gently and imperfectly, we begin to create homes that feel lighter, safer, and more aligned with the life we truly want to live.

So if your home has been feeling a little heavier than you’d like…this episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and begin again with more awareness, compassion, and intention.

Because small shifts in how we show up can change everything about how home feels.

106 - Why Marie Kondo Decluttering Feels So Hard: What Japan Taught Me About Home03 Apr 202600:26:44

In this episode, I’m sharing a reflection from our recent family trip to Japan, and how it reshaped the way I think about home, space, and modern homemaking.

Years ago, I read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, and like so many others, I was inspired to declutter my home in a big way. It changed how I saw my space… but it also left me wondering why it felt so hard to actually live out.

After experiencing Japan firsthand, I’m beginning to understand why.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Tried decluttering methods and still felt overwhelmed
  • Felt like organizing “should be easier” but it never sticks
  • Wondered why your home feels heavy even after tidying
  • Felt like you’ve failed at systems that work for others
  • Wanted your home to feel lighter, calmer, and more aligned

We’ll explore:

  • Why The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up became a global movement, and the strengths of the KonMari Method
  • Why the method can feel difficult to maintain in real family life
  • What Japanese culture reveals about space, rhythm, and everyday life
  • Five Japanese concepts that offer a different way of thinking about home:

Ma - The power of space

Wabi-Sabi - The beauty of imperfection

Ichi-go Ichi-e - Being present in the moment

Kanso - Intentional simplicity

Omoiyari - Shared care and consideration

  • How these ideas connect to modern homemaking and your everyday rhythms
  • Why your home isn’t meant to be perfect — it’s meant to support your life

Whether you’ve tried to declutter before or are simply longing for a home that feels calmer and more aligned, this episode is an invitation to look beyond methods… and begin to understand your relationship with space, stuff, and home in a new way.

Because homemaking isn’t about doing more or getting it perfect…

It’s about creating alignment between your life, your energy, and your space.

Let this be a gentle reminder that you don’t need to overhaul everything to create change.

Small shifts… thoughtful choices… and a different way of seeing your home can make all the difference.

105 - Spring Planning: How to Set Goals and Get Clear on What You Really Want27 Mar 202600:23:14

In this episode, we’re continuing the conversation about spring as the natural new year. It is a season that invites fresh starts, renewed energy, and the opportunity to move forward again.

After the slower, reflective months of winter, something begins to shift when spring arrives. The light returns, the world around us wakes up, and many of us feel a quiet pull toward planning, goal setting, and creating new possibilities in our homes and lives.

But at the same time, life can feel noisy and overwhelming. News cycles, social media, responsibilities, and the mental load of home can easily pull our attention in a hundred different directions. When everything feels loud, it can become difficult to focus on what we truly want.

In this episode, we’re slowing down and reconnecting with a more intentional way to approach goals, one that begins with clarity, values, and the feelings we want to create in our lives.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  1. Felt distracted or overwhelmed and unsure what to focus on next
  2. Had goals or projects sitting in the back of your mind for months (or years)
  3. Wanted to create more peace, clarity, and direction in your home and life
  4. Needed a gentle reset to reconnect with what truly matters to you

We’ll explore:

  1. Why spring can feel like the real new year and why it’s a powerful time to revisit your goals
  2. Why so many of us feel stuck or overwhelmed when thinking about planning and goal setting
  3. How unfinished projects and “mental loops” create pressure in our homes and minds
  4. A more meaningful way to approach goal setting by starting with the feelings we want to experience
  5. The five elements of intentional planning from Spring Planning Week, including clarity, values, habits, and sustainable change

You’ll also hear about Spring Planning, a free five-day guided experience designed to help you reconnect with what you want and move forward with intention. Through short video lessons, reflection prompts, and a workbook, this process walks you through the steps of setting meaningful goals and creating real momentum for the season ahead.

Whether you’re hoping to finally tackle a project in your home, build new routines, invest in your personal wellness, or simply reconnect with what matters most, this episode is here to remind you that you don’t need to have everything figured out all at once.

Sometimes the most powerful step we can take is to pause… reconnect with what we truly want… and begin again.

Spring is a beautiful season for new beginnings, and your next chapter might start with something as simple as clarity.

Let’s slow down, reconnect with our direction, and take the next small step forward together.

104 - Spring Reset: Declutter Your Home and Start Fresh This Season20 Mar 202600:21:04

In this episode, we’re exploring the energy of spring - a season that naturally invites us to begin again.

Every January, we’re encouraged to set resolutions and start fresh. But for many of us, those intentions fade quickly. Winter can be a season of low energy, rest, and reflection… not necessarily the best time to push ourselves into big changes.

Spring is different.

As the days grow longer and the light returns, our energy begins to rise again. We feel the urge to open the windows, clear the clutter, and create space for something new. In many ways, spring can feel like a more natural new year. It is a season of renewal, possibility, and fresh beginnings.

In this episode, we’re talking about how to embrace the energetic new year of spring, and why releasing what no longer belongs in our homes and lives can help us make room for what truly matters.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  1. Set New Year’s goals that didn’t quite stick
  2. Felt the urge to declutter or spring clean as the seasons change
  3. Wanted to reset your home, habits, or routines after a long winter
  4. Needed a gentle reminder that it’s never too late to begin again

We’ll explore:

  1. Why spring often feels like the real energetic new year
  2. How the rising energy of the season can support new intentions
  3. The power of release and reset before adding new goals or commitments
  4. Clearing mental, emotional, and physical clutter in your life and home
  5. The concept of Swedish Death Cleaning, and how simplifying our belongings can become an act of care for ourselves and others

Whether you’re feeling inspired to declutter your home, revisit goals that faded earlier in the year, or simply welcome the fresh energy of the season, this episode offers a gentle invitation to pause, release, and begin again.

Spring reminds us that renewal is always possible.

So let’s open the windows, clear a little space, welcome the rising energy of the season, and make room for what we truly want to grow in the year ahead.

103 - Healthy at Home: Eight Ways Your Home Shapes Your Health and Wellbeing13 Mar 202600:26:23

In this episode of Modern Homemaking, we’re talking about something that sits at the very heart of what it means to create a home that truly supports you.

Most wellness conversations focus on things like diet, exercise, supplements, and self-care routines. But one of the biggest influences on our wellbeing is something we rarely talk about in wellness spaces:

Our homes.

The spaces we wake up in each morning.

The routines we move through every day.

The emotional atmosphere within our walls.

In this episode, we explore the eight dimensions of wellness and how each one shows up within our homes and the work of homemaking.

Because homemaking isn’t just about keeping up with chores or decorating beautifully. It’s about creating an environment that supports the wellbeing of the people who live there, including you.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  1. Felt overwhelmed by everything it takes to run a home
  2. Wondered why your home sometimes feels draining instead of supportive
  3. Wanted your home to feel calmer, healthier, and more aligned with your life
  4. Believed that homemaking could be more meaningful than simply managing tasks

In this episode, we explore:

  1. Why your home environment has a powerful influence on your wellbeing
  2. The eight dimensions of wellness and how they show up in everyday life at home
  3. How routines, spaces, and rhythms quietly shape your mental and emotional health
  4. The connection between homemaking and supporting the wellbeing of your family
  5. Why creating a healthier home doesn’t require perfection, just intention

When we begin to see our homes through the lens of wellbeing, something shifts.

Home stops feeling like a long list of responsibilities… and starts becoming a place that supports your health, your relationships, and your sense of peace.

Because the environment you live in every day quietly shapes the way life feels inside it.

So whether you’re decluttering a room, adjusting your routines, or simply becoming more aware of the atmosphere in your home, this episode will encourage you to see homemaking in a whole new light.

Let’s explore how creating a healthier home can support a healthier life.

102 - Are You Happy at Home? The Psychology of Creating a Happier Home06 Mar 202600:21:38

Are you happy at home?

It’s a simple question… but many of us don’t slow down enough to really ask it.

When we do, we often start thinking about our physical home, whether it’s clean, how it looks, or whether we feel proud of it. But happiness at home isn’t just about the state of our space. It’s also about how we are living within it.

In this episode of Modern Homemaking, we’re exploring the deeper connection between home, happiness, and wellbeing. Drawing on ideas from psychology, environmental influence, and holistic homemaking, we’ll talk about how our homes shape how we think, feel, and move through our daily lives.

Because creating a happier home isn’t just about doing more.

It’s about alignment. When your mindset, environment, routines, and energy begin working together, home can become one of the most supportive and nourishing places in your life.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

• Felt overwhelmed by your home and wondered why it affects you so deeply

• Questioned whether your home is supporting your wellbeing or draining it

• Wanted your home to feel calmer, lighter, or more aligned with your life

• Suspected that happiness at home is about more than cleaning, organizing, or decorating

We’ll explore:

• Why the question “Are you happy at home?” matters more than we might think

• What psychology teaches us about happiness and wellbeing

• How our home environment influences our mood, stress, and energy

• Why happiness at home often has less to do with your home, and more to do with how you’re living in it

• Small shifts you can make to help your home feel more supportive and aligned

Whether you’re navigating overwhelm at home, craving more peace in your space, or simply wanting to feel better in your everyday life, this episode is here to remind you that creating a happier home doesn’t require perfection.

Sometimes it starts with simply asking the right question.

Are you happy at home?

And if the answer isn’t quite yet… small shifts can begin to change how life feels, one step at a time.

101 - Welcome to Modern Homemaking: What It Means and Why I’m Reclaiming Homemaker27 Feb 202600:24:41

In this episode, we’re opening a brand new chapter. After years of avoiding the word homemaking, I’m finally claiming it, and renaming this show Modern Homemaking.

This isn’t just a new title. It’s a shift in clarity, courage, and calling.

For a long time, I resisted using the words homemaking and homemaker in my messaging. I worried about stereotypes, misunderstandings, and being reduced to something smaller than the work I actually do. But over time, I realized something important: the very word I was avoiding was the one my audience was searching for.

Today, I’m sharing why I changed the name of the podcast, what modern homemaking truly means, and why I believe homemaking matters now more than ever.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  1. Felt conflicted about the title “homemaker”
  2. Wanted to care deeply about home without being boxed into outdated roles
  3. Struggled with how homemaking is perceived in modern culture
  4. Felt called to create a healthier, happier home, but wanted a more thoughtful approach

We’ll explore:

  1. Why I avoided the word homemaking for so long
  2. The uncomfortable realization that people couldn’t find my work
  3. The story of my old baking pans, and what they taught me about growth and letting go
  4. What modern homemaking really means in today’s world
  5. How the Holistic Home Method supports mindset, routines, decluttering, design, and cyclical living

Modern homemaking is not about shrinking yourself. It’s not about perfection or silent sacrifice. It’s about leadership inside your home. It’s about understanding how your space shapes your mental health, your relationships, and your daily life.

In a world that feels loud and divided, tending to home with intention is powerful, and more important than ever..

Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you found this podcast by searching for modern homemaking, I’m so glad you’re here.

Together, let’s build happier and healthier homes.

Welcome to Modern Homemaking. 💛

100 - Ten Lessons from 100 Conversations About Modern Homemaking: Mindset, Mental Load & Meaning at Home20 Feb 202600:27:32

Today marks a milestone.

Celebrating 100 episodes of The Common Nest Podcast.

When I pressed record on episode one two years ago, I had no idea what this show would become. I didn’t know who would listen. I didn’t know if I would keep going. I didn’t know how these conversations would shape me.

But here we are… 100 conversations about home.

Not just cleaning and decluttering and decorating… But mindset. Invisible labor. Mental load. Cultural pressure. Marriage and motherhood. Rest and leadership. Grief, faith, politics and the seasons of life.

In this episode, I’m reflecting on what 100 conversations about homemaking have taught me and sharing the ten lessons I’ve learned.

I’m also sharing what I deeply wish every homemaker understood about home, their role, and the weight their carrying.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt behind in your home

  • Wondered why homemaking feels heavier than it “should”

  • Struggled with clutter that feels deeper than just stuff

  • Felt exhausted and questioned your capacity

  • Carried invisible labor that no one else seems to notice

  • Wanted to create a peaceful home without burning yourself out

  • Needed reassurance that you’re not failing

We’ll explore:

  • Why home truly starts within

  • The difference between incompetence and overload

  • Why clutter is often emotional, not just physical

  • The real purpose of routines (hint: it’s not productivity)

  • Why design and beauty are not superficial

  • How exhaustion distorts everything at home

  • Homemaking as leadership, not servitude or submission

  • The hidden cultural forces shaping your expectations

  • Why you cannot pour from an empty cup

  • Why alignment, and not perfection,  is the true goal

  • Why you are not behind

  • Why home was never meant to be managed alone

  • Why your worth is not measured by productivity

  • Why tending to yourself is part of tending your home

  • Why your current season matters more than you think

Whether you’ve been here since episode one or you’re just finding the show  now, this episode is both a celebration and a closing of a chapter.

Here’s to 100 conversations about home  and to what’s coming next.

099 - The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love: How to Love in Heavy Times13 Feb 202600:25:19

In this episode, we’re talking about love, but  not the soft, sentimental kind that fills store windows in February. We are talking about the kind of love that holds up when the world feels heavy.

Because if you’re honest, the world right now feels heavy, divided, activating and loud.

There is injustice playing out publicly. There is anger in the air. There are communities, particularly people of color, women, and members of the LGBTQ community, who are feeling the weight of hatred in very real ways.

And maybe you’ve felt it in your body too. The grief.  The outrage.  The exhaustion.

So what do we do with all of it?

After hearing the phrase, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” I found myself sitting with that question. What does powerful love actually look like in practice? And how do we live it out without becoming burned out or bitter?

In this episode, I share a grounded framework for building rooted love,  the kind that sustains you instead of draining you, and the specific order it has to move in to truly be strong.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt overwhelmed by the state of the world and unsure how to respond

  • Experienced grief, anger, or activation that’s affecting your home life

  • Wanted to raise children who value dignity, justice, and compassion

  • Struggled with resentment, burnout, or emotional overload

  • Wondered how to stay grounded without becoming disengaged

We’ll explore:

  • Why love must be rooted before it can be powerful

  • What it means to receive love before trying to give it

  • How tending to your nervous system strengthens your impact

  • The connection between a regulated home and a more just world

  • What “out-of-order love” looks like, and why it leads to burnout

  • How to build a loving home in heavy times without shrinking your world

This conversation is not about ignoring injustice.  It’s not about bypassing anger.  And it’s not about retreating from the world.

It’s about building something stronger than hate, starting within you, strengthening your home, and then moving outward with courage and steadiness.

If you’ve been carrying heaviness lately, this episode is here to help you move through it with clarity, compassion, and strength.

Let’s talk about how to build love that lasts.

098 - Make Home Great Again? Creating a Home with a Different Kind of Greatness07 Feb 202600:24:12

In this episode, we continue the conversation,  but this time, we move forward.

After naming the cultural, political, and theological stories shaping our homes in Part 1, this episode asks the next, unavoidable question:

If going backward isn’t the answer… then what is?

This episode is an exploration of greatness, not as nostalgia, performance, or control, but as something living, responsive, and deeply human. It looks at why the pull of “again” is so strong in heavy times, and why homes don’t actually become stronger by recreating the past.

Instead, we begin to imagine a different kind of greatness,  one rooted in care, shared power, adaptability, and wellbeing.

This isn’t about doing more, fixing everything, or getting it “right.” It’s about choosing a way forward that actually supports the people who live in our homes now.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt the pull of nostalgia and wondered why it’s so powerful

  • Questioned whether “traditional” solutions actually serve real families

  • Wanted to move forward without rejecting home, family, or faith

  • Felt tired of rigid roles, hidden conflict, or silent sacrifice

  • Longed for a definition of home that feels supportive instead of constricting

In this episode, we’ll explore:

  • Why the idea of “again” feels comforting, and what it often leaves out

  • How nostalgia can become a coping mechanism in times of overwhelm

  • Why going backward preserves hierarchy rather than creating safety

  • What it really means to redefine greatness at home

  • How holistic homemaking offers a forward-focused, life-giving path

  • Why the work of home quietly shapes communities, culture, and the future

This episode is an invitation, not to return to an idealized past, but to consciously create something better.

Because we don’t make anything  great again by going backward. We make home great by choosing a different kind of greatness,  one that meets us right where we are.

097 - When Politics Come Home: MAGA, Christian Nationalism, Trad Wives & the Stories That Shape Homes31 Jan 202600:34:02

In this episode, we’re opening a tender and necessary conversation about what’s happening in the world,  and how it quietly finds its way into our homes.

What began as personal reflection turned into a deeper reckoning with the cultural, political, and theological stories shaping modern family life. From MAGA to Christian nationalism to the trad wife movement, this episode explores how these narratives don’t just live online or in headlines. They show up in our marriages, parenting, faith spaces, and everyday expectations of home.

This isn’t a political rant. It’s a conversation about home,  because home is where these stories are lived, embodied, and passed on.

Through personal story, observation, and lived experience, we’ll look at how power, nostalgia, and faith can quietly reshape domestic life, and why it matters that we pay attention.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt unsettled by what’s happening in the world, but unsure how it connects to home

  • Noticed subtle shifts in conversations around marriage, motherhood, or faith

  • Felt tension between your values and the cultural or religious messages around you

  • Wondered why “going back” is being framed as the solution and felt unsure about that

  • Wanted language for what you’re sensing, but haven’t known how to name it

In this episode, we’ll explore:

  • How political and cultural movements shape family life from the inside out

  • What MAGA, Christian nationalism, and trad wife ideology have in common

  • Why these stories resonate during times of fear, burnout, and instability

  • How faith language can be used to justify hierarchy and control,  often quietly

  • Why the home is where these ideas do their deepest, most lasting work

This is Part 1 of a two-part series.

In this first episode, we focus on naming what’s happening and why it matters. In Part 2, we’ll move forward into what actually makes a home strong, supportive, and life-giving in the world we’re living in now.

If you’ve been carrying questions, discomfort, or quiet concern about the intersection of politics, faith, and home,  you’re not alone.

This conversation is an invitation to slow down, notice the stories shaping us, and begin asking what kind of homes (and future)  we truly want to create.

096 - When You Feel Behind at Home: Time, Productivity, and Modern Homemaking23 Jan 202600:28:03

In this episode, we’re talking about one of the most common (and heavy)  feelings many of us  carry at home: the feeling of being behind.

Behind on routines. Behind on projects. Behind on the life or home you thought you’d have by now.

We’re unpacking why that feeling is so persistent, why it’s often rooted in productivity culture and unrealistic timelines, and why homemaking doesn’t actually move on a particular timeline. This conversation is about releasing the pressure to “catch up” and learning how to work within your own timeline, with more compassion, clarity, and support.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt like no matter how much you do, it’s never enough

  • Compared your home, pace, or progress to others and felt discouraged

  • Struggled with the pressure to be productive, efficient, or “get it done” at home

  • Felt overwhelmed by clutter, unfinished projects, or long to-do lists

  • Wondered if you’re falling behind, or just living in a different life

We’ll explore:

  • Why “being behind” is often a false narrative rooted in hustle and productivity culture

  • How unrealistic expectations, including those shaped by neurodiversity,  affect our relationship with time

  • Why simplifying your home, goals, and focus can instantly create more spaciousness

  • How routines and systems can support progress without pressure

  • Why cyclical thinking offers a gentler, more sustainable way to understand homemaking

Rather than seeing home as a race or a series of finish lines, this episode invites you to see it as something living, something that unfolds in seasons, cycles, and small steps forward.

If you’ve been rushing, shaming yourself, or feeling like you’re constantly behind, this conversation is here to remind you of something important:

 You’re not failing.

You don’t need to catch up. You’re on your own timeline.

Let’s slow this down, soften the expectations, and come home to a pace that actually supports you  and the life you’re creating.

095 - When Everything Feels Heavy: How Home Supports Us in Stressful and Uncertain Times16 Jan 202600:23:03

In this episode of The Common Nest Podcast, we’re talking about something many of us are quietly carrying right now: the feeling that everything is heavy, uncertain, and just too much.

When it feels like the world is falling apart, things are overwhelming and motivation is gone, it can be hard to know how to keep going, especially when life and home responsibilities don’t pause. Today’s conversation is a gentle reminder that nothing is wrong with you, and that the work of home can become a source of steadiness and support rather than another demand.

We’ll explore why this season feels so exhausting, what’s really happening beneath the surface when you don’t feel like doing anything, and how home, when approached with compassion and intention, can help hold us through hard times.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt emotionally or physically drained and unsure how to keep going

  • Struggled to find motivation when life feels heavy or uncertain

  • Wondered why even simple home tasks feel harder than they used to

  • Longed for your home to feel supportive instead of overwhelming

  • Needed permission to do less and care for yourself more gently

We’ll explore:

  • Why feeling unmotivated or shut down makes sense during stressful seasons

  • How the work of home can support your nervous system instead of draining it

  • Five gentle ways to let home care for you, rooted in the Five Foundations of Home

  • Why simplicity, routines, beauty, and honoring your season matter more than productivity

  • How the way we tend our homes quietly shapes the emotional life of our families

Whether you’re moving through a season of uncertainty, exhaustion, or quiet overwhelm, this episode is here to remind you that you don’t have to do everything, and you don’t have to do it perfectly.

Home doesn’t need to be another place you perform or push through. It can be a place where you land, soften, and find enough support to keep going, one small act of care at a time.

You matter. Your home matters. And even in heavy seasons, homemaking  makes a difference.

094 - January Reset Without the Reinvention: Why Home Feels Heavy and How to Move Forward09 Jan 202600:27:21

In this episode, we’re slowing down the January noise and having a different kind of conversation about fresh starts, overwhelm, and why home can feel so heavy this time of year.

January is supposed to feel hopeful,  a clean slate filled with motivation, goals, and new energy. But for so many people, it doesn’t feel that way at all. It feels heavy, exhausting, and quietly overwhelming.

Today, we’re exploring why that heaviness makes sense,  especially after a season of carrying so much, and why the answer isn’t reinventing yourself, fixing your home, or trying harder.

This episode is an invitation to step out of pressure and into a softer, more intentional reset. One that begins within.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt heavy or unmotivated in January when you “should” feel hopeful

  • Wondered why home feels hard even when things are technically working

  • Felt overwhelmed by the pressure to reset, declutter, or reinvent yourself

  • Managed your home and life well,  but still felt restless or dissatisfied

  • Longed for a gentler, more meaningful way to move forward

We’ll explore:

  • Why things might be feeling  heavy instead of hopeful

  • How cultural pressure, invisible labor, and mental load impact how home feels

  • Why overwhelm is a signal, not a personal failure

  • The difference between managing your home and leading it with intention

  • What a January reset can look like without reinvention or burnout

  • Why home truly starts within, and where to begin if you want change that lasts

If January feels heavy instead of hopeful, you’re not broken  and you’re not behind. This episode is here to remind you that you don’t need a new version of yourself. You need fewer expectations, clearer direction, and support that honors where you are right now.

Take a deep breath. Start where you are. And remember. you don’t have to do this alone.

093 - The Year You Stop Doing It All Alone: A Slower, More Supported Way to Start the New Year02 Jan 202600:29:02

In this episode, we’re welcoming the New Year in a different way,  slower, softer, and with far less pressure to rush into goals and resolutions.

January often arrives with loud expectations: new year, new you, big plans, fresh starts. But for many of us, especially after a long and full holiday season, the truth is we’re tired. Still recovering. Still integrating what the past year held.

Today’s episode is an honest reflection on post-holiday exhaustion, winter energy, and why the beginning of the year doesn’t have to be about hustle or doing more. Instead, we’re exploring what it might look like to rest, receive support, and finally stop doing it all alone.

I’m sharing personal reflections on my own relationship with the holidays and how cyclical living has reshaped the way I approach the New Year. We’ll also talk about my Word of the Year and how learning to receive support has led me to more intentionally ask for help, community, and shared leadership.

This episode is also an invitation to reimagine homemaking as meaningful leadership and to question the belief that women running households are meant to do everything by themselves.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt exhausted or relieved when the holidays were finally over

  • Struggled with New Year goal-setting because you’re still tired

  • Felt pressure to “do more” when what you really need is rest

  • Carried the mental and emotional load of home mostly on your own

  • Longed for community, support, or shared understanding in homemaking

We’ll explore:

  • Why January often isn’t the best time for big goals or bold action

  • How winter energy invites rest, reflection, and mindset work

  • What it really means to receive support and why it can feel vulnerable

  • Why learning to ask for help can be a powerful turning point

  • The parallels between running a business and running a household

  • Why homemakers deserve community, support, and shared wisdom

  • A new vision for homemaking that centers wellbeing, leadership, and connection

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by New Year pressure or quietly longing for more support at home, this episode is a reminder that you don’t have to do it all alone.

Maybe this is the year you take it slower. Maybe this is the year you ask for help. Maybe this is the year you let yourself be supported.

And that might change everything.

092 - Why You’re Still Tired, Even When You’re Resting: The Different Types of Rest26 Dec 202500:27:19

In this episode, we’re slowing things down and leaning into rest, especially in the quiet, blurry in-between week between Christmas and New Year’s. That strange stretch of time when routines are off, days blend together, and even though life feels slower… we don’t always feel rested.

This episode is an invitation to gently question why rest can feel so hard, even when we finally stop, and to consider what rest actually looks like in winter, when energy is naturally lower and the world invites us to soften rather than hustle.

We’re talking about rest through cyclical living, letting go of the pressure to rush into the new year, and exploring the different types of rest our bodies, minds, and hearts may be craving right now.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt tired even though you’ve been resting more

  • Expected this week to feel restorative… but it didn’t

  • Struggled with the pressure to “start fresh” in the new year

  • Felt caught between slowing down and needing to keep going

  • Longed for permission to rest without guilt

We’ll explore:

  • Why rest doesn’t always feel restful, especially this time of year

  • How winter and cyclical living invite a slower, gentler rhythm

  • Why rest isn’t a reward, but a requirement

  • The seven different types of rest, and how to recognize which one you need most

  • Simple, compassionate ways to lean into real rest during the in-between week and beyond

Whether you’re listening during the holidays or finding this episode later in the year, this conversation is here to remind you that you’re not doing rest wrong, you may just be needing a different kind of rest.

There’s no rush to become someone new.  No need to override the season you’re in. Rest is allowed.

Let this episode be an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and enter this season,  and the new year, feeling more supported, more grounded, and more at home within yourself.

091 - Why You Feel Exhausted, Disappointed, and Overwhelmed After the Holidays and What to Do About It19 Dec 202500:27:53

In this episode of The Common Nest Podcast, we’re slowing things down to talk about a feeling so many of us experience after the holidays, but rarely talk about.

You’ve done your best. You showed up, carried a lot, and made it through a full holiday season at home. And now, you’re left feeling exhausted, disappointed, or emotionally flat.

Today’s conversation is about the expectation hangover,  the quiet crash that can happen when our hopes for home and the holidays don’t match real life. We’ll explore why unmet expectations hit so hard, especially in our homes, and how to meet ourselves with compassion instead of criticism when the season doesn’t turn out the way we imagined.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt let down after the holidays,  even when nothing “went wrong”

  • Wondered why you feel so tired, irritable, or low once the season ends

  • Carried the emotional and mental load of home and hoped it would feel different

  • Struggled with the pressure to be grateful when you’re actually exhausted

  • Longed for your home to feel supportive again instead of heavy

In this episode, we’ll explore:

  • What an expectation hangover is and why it’s so common during the holidays

  • The unspoken expectations many of us carry around home, family, and “doing it right”

  • Why disappointment at home can feel so personal and painful

  • Gentle reframes to support yourself before expectations turn into burnout

  • How to care for yourself when you’re already in a post-holiday crash

  • Ways to let your home become a place of recovery , and not performance

Whether this season felt joyful, disappointing, or a mix of both, this episode is an invitation to soften, reflect, and release the pressure to hold it all together. You’re not behind. You’re not failing. And you’re not meant to carry this alone.

Let’s tend to home from the inside out with honesty, compassion, and care.

090 - Holiday Boundaries: How to Reduce Overwhelm, Protect Your Energy, and Create a Calmer Season12 Dec 202500:29:41

In this episode, we’re slowing down and stepping gently into one of the most supportive practices: holiday boundaries. These are the loving limits that help you protect your energy, reduce overwhelm, and create a calmer, more meaningful holiday season.

The holidays can be beautiful… but they can also feel heavy. More expectations. More emotional labour. More decisions. More family dynamics. It’s a season that asks a lot of us, and often more than we have the capacity to give.

So today, we’re talking about the kind of boundaries that don’t shut people out, but instead make room for you. Boundaries create space for more rest, more joy, more presence, and the kind of holiday you actually want to experience.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt stretched thin by all the planning, preparing, hosting, and holding

  • Said “yes” when you were already overwhelmed or exhausted

  • Carried the invisible emotional load of “making the magic”

  • Felt guilty for wanting less - less pressure, fewer events, a slower pace

  • Tried to protect your peace in the midst of family expectations and old patterns

  • Needed permission to choose what feels right for you (and your kids)

We’ll explore:

  • Why boundaries matter more during the holidays than any other time of year

  • The cultural messages that make women feel responsible for everyone’s experience

  • How guilt, conditioning, and emotional labour make boundaries harder to set

  • Practical boundaries around time, energy, finances, responsibility, and emotional wellbeing

  • How to communicate boundaries with clarity and compassion

  • The mindset shift that turns boundaries into an act of love and giving for yourself and your family

Whether you’re feeling the weight of December already, or you’re longing for a slower, calmer holiday this year, this conversation is here to remind you that you get to choose the pace. You get to choose what you hold and what you gently set down. And you’re allowed to create a holiday that supports you, too.

Let’s take a deep breath, ease the pressure, and step into a season that feels lighter, calmer, and far more aligned with what matters most.

088 - Why You’re Overwhelmed at Home... And How to Finally Change It28 Nov 202500:31:04

In this episode, we’re stepping into a conversation that so many women feel deeply but rarely say out loud, the weight of home. Not the laundry, the dishes, or the checklist… but the invisible load beneath it all: the expectations, the emotional labor, the mental juggling, and the stories we’ve inherited about what it means to “keep a home.”

Today, I’m exploring why so many of us feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or like we’re constantly trying to catch up, and why none of it means you’re failing.

You’re not overwhelmed because you’re weak, lazy, or behind. You’re overwhelmed because you were never meant to do home alone.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt like home is heavier than it “should” be

  • Wondered why you can’t seem to do it all anymore

  • Tried to carry the mental load without support

  • Felt guilty for needing help

  • Struggled with the stories you grew up believing about homemaking

  • Wished you had more guidance, community, or connection in your daily life

  • Longed for a village, even if you don’t know where to find one

We’ll explore:

  • The invisible load almost every woman carries

  • Why traditional homemaking systems were never designed for your wellbeing

  • The cultural stories and expectations shaping how we feel inside our homes

  • Why emotional, mental, and relational support matter just as much as physical help

  • The truth that mentorship and community aren’t modern trends, they’re ancient

  • What it actually means to build a village (it’s not doing everything together)

  • Why you’re not meant to walk this journey alone

  • How to reimagine support in a way that changes everything at home

Whether you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, or simply craving more clarity and connection, this episode is both a deep exhale and a gentle reframe,  reminding you that support is not a luxury… it’s part of being human.

And because support is at the heart of everything we talk about today, I’m also sharing a overview of Black Friday Week, where you’ll find five days of offers designed to meet you exactly where you are, whether you need clarity, routines, mindset shifts, practical tools, or personalized 1:1 guidance.

And I am extending all the deals for this weekend. All five offers are on sale until Cyber Monday, December 1st at midnight (MST).

If you’ve been longing for support, structure, encouragement, or a mentor to walk with you, this is your moment. Many of these offers can even be used in January, so you can enjoy the holidays now and start the new year with a fresh foundation.

Whether you’re navigating invisible load, rewriting old stories, or simply trying to breathe inside your own home, this episode is here to remind you:

You’re not failing. You’re simply carrying too much alone. And you don’t have to anymore.

Let’s step into this conversation together.

087 - Feeling Behind at Home? Here’s the Real Reason You Can’t Keep Up21 Nov 202500:20:42

In this episode, we’re diving into a tender truth that’s been coming up again and again, in conversations with clients, in messages from listeners, and even in my own inner dialogue.

It’s that quiet ache of feeling behind at home… and the belief that the solution is simply to try harder.

Today’s conversation is about what’s really beneath the mess, the overwhelm, and the nonstop cycle of “keeping up.” It’s about the stories we carry, the pressure we put on ourselves, and the deeper reasons why home can feel hard, even when we’re giving it everything we have.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Looked around your home and wondered, “Why can’t I just keep up?”

  • Tried to push through with more effort, more discipline, or more motivation

  • Felt discouraged that the mess keeps coming back,  no matter how hard you work

  • Questioned whether you’re doing something wrong

  • Longed for a home that feels like support, not pressure

We’ll explore:

  • Why “trying harder” isn’t creating the change you want, and why it’s not supposed to

  • How clutter, inconsistency, and overwhelm are actually signals, not failures

  • The hidden role your season, capacity, and emotional load play in your home

  • Why traditional homemaking advice leaves so many women feeling defeated

  • The power of alignment, and how your home shifts when your methods finally match your life

  • What a holistic, inside-out approach to home can unlock for your wellbeing

And because this conversation is at the heart of the work I do, I’m also sharing a little preview of something special coming next week: Black Friday Week - Five Days of Deals. Five days of gentle, supportive ways to help you create a home that feels calmer, clearer, and more aligned with your real life.

If your home has felt heavy… If you’re tired of pushing… If you’re craving a kinder way forward…

This episode is your permission slip to exhale, soften, and start seeing your home through a whole new lens.

Let’s untangle the pressure, lift the guilt, and step into a more aligned way of creating home, one that doesn’t demand more effort, but offers more ease.

086 - Decluttering Before the Holidays: How to Reduce Stress and Create Space for What Matters14 Nov 202500:30:09

In this episode, we’re preparing for the holiday season, that busy time when life starts to feel fuller, faster, and a little more overwhelming than usual. Today, I’m sharing a gentle, holistic approach to decluttering before the holidays, rooted in the Release & Reset foundation of the Holistic Home Method.

This isn’t an episode about cleaning your house top to bottom or organizing every drawer. It’s about creating breathing room, in your mind, your heart, and your home, so you can enter the season with more peace and presence, and less pressure and perfectionism.

If you’ve been feeling the mental load rise, noticing the clutter creeping in, or sensing that holiday overwhelm is arriving a little too early this year… you’re not alone. And this episode is for you.

This conversation is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt mentally overloaded before the holidays even begin
  • Carried guilt, pressure, or emotional weight into the season
  • Looked around your home and thought, “It’s already too much…”
  • Wanted a calmer, simpler, more intentional holiday experience
  • Wondered how to prepare for the season without burning out

We’ll explore:

  • Why mental clutter is often the first warning sign of holiday overwhelm
  • How emotional clutter shows up during the holidays and how to release it with compassion
  • A simple reset to declutter the spaces you’ll use most
  • How to declutter toys and kids’ spaces before new things come in
  • Ways to reduce clutter at the source through mindful consumption
  • The small shifts that make the biggest difference in creating a peaceful holiday home

Whether you’re preparing to host loved ones, navigating full schedules, or trying to protect your energy through the holiday rush, this episode will help you make space for what truly matters — connection, presence, rest, and joy.

If you’re ready to feel lighter and more grounded this season, take a deep breath, settle in, and let’s gently clear a little room together.

Let’s release what’s weighing you down, reset what needs to shift, and make space for the holiday season you actually want.

085 - Holiday Self-Care for Modern Homemakers: Simple Ways to Protect Your Energy and Avoid Burnout07 Nov 202500:25:11

In this episode, we’re slowing down to talk about care practices. The small, intentional rhythms that help us stay grounded, nourished, and supported as we head into the holidays.

While the to-do lists are getting longer,  the days are actually getting shorter, and many of us are already running on empty, just trying to do more, give more, and be more for everyone around us.

This season doesn’t have to end in exhaustion. By setting up simple, non-negotiable care practices now, we can move through the holidays with more peace, presence, and joy, and truly care for ourselves in the process.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt like the holidays always leave you drained or depleted

  • Wanted to be more present but didn’t know how to slow down

  • Put everyone else’s needs before your own and felt guilty resting

  • Needed permission to make yourself a priority in your home

We’ll explore:

  • Why your energy naturally slows this time of year, and why that matters

  • What care practices really are (and what they’re not)

  • How to choose two or three non-negotiable care practices for the season

  • Tiny, realistic ideas to support your emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing

  • Practical ways to make these practices actually happen, even when you are busy

Whether you’re already feeling stretched thin or simply want this holiday season to feel calmer and more intentional, this episode will help you reconnect to yourself and create steadiness before the rush begins.

Let’s prepare your head, heart and home for the holidays, not by doing more, but by caring more deeply for yourself.

084 - From Overwhelmed to Organized: How to Prepare Your Head, Heart, and Home for the Holidays31 Oct 202500:23:10

In this episode, we’re talking about something that comes up every single year -  the holiday season.

You know that feeling as the decorations hit the stores (earlier and earlier), and suddenly we’re all supposed to be ready for the season... but inside, we feel anything but ready?

If you’ve ever felt like the holidays just happen to you, or like you’re so busy creating magic for everyone else that you forget to enjoy it yourself, this episode is for you. It is a conversation about doing things differently this year,  with more calm, connection, and intention.

We’re slowing down to explore how to prepare your head, heart, and home for the holidays, so you can move through the season feeling grounded, peaceful, and present.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt overwhelmed by the expectations of a “perfect” holiday

  • Wanted to simplify, slow down, and create space for peace and joy

  • Longed to reconnect with the meaning behind the season

  • Wondered how to prepare early, so you can actually enjoy the holidays when they arrive

We’ll explore:

  • Why holiday overwhelm isn’t your fault, it’s a cultural pattern

  • The five foundations of a holistic holiday season: mindset, release, routines, decor, and cyclical living

  • Small, practical ways to create calm right now,  before the busyness begins

  • How to shift from autopilot to alignment and rediscover joy in the season you work so hard to create

Whether you’re already sipping something festive or still resisting the sight of early-store décor, this conversation will help you find clarity, calm, and connection before the season begins.

Because peace isn’t something we find, it’s something we prepare for.

083 - Mindset, Motivation & Methods: The Secret to a Happier, Healthier Home24 Oct 202500:23:55

In this episode, we’re going back to the beginning,  to a lightbulb moment that shaped The Common Nest and inspired the framework behind The Holistic Home Method.

I’m sharing the story of inspiration and how three simple words, Mindset, Motivation, and Methods helped me see home in a completely new way.

At the time, I was trying to create a clear, simple roadmap to help women create happier, healthier homes, spaces that honor our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing in the cultivation of home. But I couldn’t quite find the structure that brought it all together. Then, those three words landed like truth: Mindset. Motivation. Methods.

Everything clicked. And from that spark, The Holistic Home Method was born.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Tried to create change in your home but felt stuck or overwhelmed

  • Focused on routines or organization but still felt something was missing

  • Wondered how your mindset affects the way your home feels

  • Wanted your home to support your wellbeing, not drain it

We’ll explore:

  • What Mindset really means in the context of home and how the stories you tell yourself shape what feels possible

  • How Motivation becomes your why, and how to reconnect with it when your spark fades

  • Why Methods matter and how to create systems and routines that actually fit your life

  • How these three elements weave through the Five Foundations of the Holistic Home Method to create more flow, peace, and joy

Whether you’re decluttering, redesigning, or simply reimagining how home feels, this conversation will help you see that real transformation starts within.

Because when your mindset, motivation, and methods align, your home becomes more than something to manage,  it becomes a reflection of who you are and what you truly value.

Let’s explore how to bring harmony to the what, why, and how of your home and rediscover the joy of creating home from the inside out.

082 - Home Starts Within: How Self-Love Transforms Your Space and Relationships.17 Oct 202500:25:52

In this episode, we’re exploring a truth that often gets lost in our culture of constant improvement — that your home doesn’t need fixing; it needs you.

Everywhere we turn, we’re surrounded by messages telling us to optimize, organize, and perfect — our routines, our spaces, even ourselves. But what if all this striving for “better” is actually keeping us from feeling at home right now?

In today’s conversation, we’ll look at what happens when we shift our focus from fixing our homes to loving them — and how that shift begins with the relationship we have with ourselves. Because home isn’t a project to perfect. It’s a relationship to nurture.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt pressure to constantly improve your home or yourself

  • Compared your space (or your life) to someone else’s highlight reel

  • Attached your worth to how your home looks or how productive you are

  • Wanted to feel more grounded, peaceful, and connected in your space

We’ll explore:

  •  How the culture of optimization creates disconnection — at home and within

  •  Why your relationship with yourself sets the tone for your entire home

  • What it means to treat your home like a relationship instead of a project

  • How small, mindful acts of care can become powerful expressions of self-love

  • How compassion for yourself ripples outward to the people you live with

  • Why “Home Starts Within” — and how this truth changes everything about how we create home

Whether your house feels chaotic or your inner world feels cluttered, this episode is a gentle reminder that peace doesn’t come from perfection — it comes from connection.

In this episode, we’re leaning into gratitude — not just the kind we name around the Thanksgiving table, but the kind that shapes how we see our homes and our daily lives.

Let's slow down together and reflect on what it means to practice gratitude in the small, ordinary moments at home. Gratitude is simple, but when practiced daily, it can transform not only how we feel about our homes, but how we feel about ourselves within them.

  • Felt overwhelmed by what your home isn’t, rather than grateful for what it is

  • Wanted to find joy in the ordinary rhythms of family life

  • Needed a reminder that contentment is possible, even without “more”

  • Longed for simple practices that ground you in peace and presence

079 - Fall Cleaning vs. Spring Cleaning: What Your Home Really Needs This Season26 Sep 202500:30:59

In this episode, we’re exploring why fall cleaning might be just as, if not more, important than spring cleaning.

We often think of spring cleaning as the big reset, the time to throw open the windows, shake out the rugs, and start fresh. But fall cleaning has its own purpose: preparing your home for coziness, connection, and the season ahead. This is when we move inward, and our homes hold us most deeply.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Wondered what the difference really is between spring and fall cleaning

  • Felt the weight of clutter hanging over you as routines pick up again

  • Wanted to create a calmer, cozier home before the holiday season

  • Needed encouragement that slow progress is still progress

We’ll explore:

  • Why fall cleaning is about preparing your home and energy for the months ahead

  • The key areas of your home that benefit most from a seasonal reset (mudroom, pantry, closets, winter accessories, and living spaces)

  • How decluttering and organizing are about more than aesthetics, they’re about energy and flow

  • Simple ways to celebrate your progress, even if it feels small

  • How to set yourself up for a smoother, more nourishing season at home

Fall is the perfect time to reset. Let’s use this season’s energy to clear what’s been hanging over us, prepare for what’s ahead, and create a home that feels calm, supportive, and ready to hold us well.

078 - Fall Home Reset: How to Refresh, Declutter, and Cozy Your Home This Season19 Sep 202500:28:47

In this episode, we’re leaning into the quiet shift of the season — the rhythm of fall. The crisp mornings, the golden light, the trees letting go of their leaves… fall invites us to do the same. To prepare, to gather in, and to create spaces that feel nurturing and supportive for the months ahead.

Today, we’re exploring the pull we feel toward our homes in this season - the urge to declutter, cozy up, and prepare - and why that pull doesn’t always translate into action. Life is busy, energy dips, and even when we know what we want, follow-through can feel impossible.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt the urge to refresh or cozy up your home, but didn’t know where to start

  • Found yourself overwhelmed by clutter, routines, or decorating

  • Wanted your home to support you, but felt too drained to make it happen

  • Wondered how to create real change in your home without burnout

  • Needed support and accountability to follow through on your intentions

We’ll explore:

  • Why fall is such a powerful season for your home

  • The natural wisdom of fall and how it mirrors what our homes (and hearts) need

  • Why we often get stuck, even when we want to make changes

  • A simple reflection to help you notice the space that’s calling for your attention

  • The difference that personal support, coaching, and accountability can make

  • How to start small, focus on one space, and see ripple effects throughout your home

If you’ve been feeling that little whisper and that pull toward home, this episode is here to remind you that you are not alone. Change is possible, and even small steps create lasting impact.

Let’s lean into this season together, embrace the rhythm of fall, and create a home that supports the life you love.

077 - The Energy Aligner: How to Align Your Home and Energy with Natural Rhythms12 Sep 202500:26:00

In this episode, we’re wrapping up the Holistic Home Quiz podcast miniseries with the fifth and final type: The Energy Aligner.

This type is for you if your energy feels out of sync with your home and your life, if seasonal shifts leave you feeling drained or scattered, or if you’ve ever wondered why you can’t just stay “consistent” like the world tells you to. The Energy Aligner knows deep down that life isn’t linear—it’s cyclical. And when we align our homes with these natural rhythms, we create a space that flows with us instead of against us.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt burnt out by trying to keep up with constant productivity

  • Wondered why routines never seem to stick for long

  • Noticed your moods, motivation, or energy rise and fall like the seasons

  • Longed for a more peaceful, nurturing flow in your home

We’ll explore:

  • Why so much of our home struggle comes from forcing a linear way of living

  • What Cyclical Living really means—and why it matters

  • The four rhythms that shape our homes and lives: body, moon, seasons, and life stages

  • How honoring cycles can help you move from survival mode to deeper trust and joy

  • Why rest isn’t a reward, but a requirement—and how to embrace it without guilt

Whether you’re noticing the pull of the moon, shifting with the seasons, or simply learning to listen to your body’s natural flow, this conversation will help you discover the beauty of living in rhythm.

075 - The Routine Refiner: Simple Systems to Save Time, Reduce Overwhelm, and Create a Calmer Home10 Sep 202500:25:17

In this episode, we’re continuing the Holistic Home Quiz mini-series, where I introduce the five types from the quiz What’s Holding You Back from a Happier, Healthier Home? Each type reflects a unique challenge in creating the home and life you long for.

Today’s focus is on The Routine Refiner - the type for those who struggle with consistency, time management, and systems that stick. If you’ve ever felt like your home tasks pile up faster than you can tackle them, or like you’re constantly running behind, this one is for you.

A Routine Refiner craves structure and balance. The challenge area is time and the solution is to begin building plans and routines that bring ease, flow, and steadiness. This episode is here to help you see how routines aren’t about doing more, but about creating freedom by doing less scrambling, less catching up, and less chaos.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Struggled to stay consistent with routines at home

  • Felt like you’re always behind or playing catch-up

  • Wanted systems that make life feel calmer and more predictable

  • Wondered how routines can actually create more freedom, not less

We’ll explore:

  • Why routines matter for your mental health, family life, and sense of calm

  • The surprising benefits of simple, steady rhythms in your day

  • Common myths about routines (and why they aren’t rigid, boring, or overwhelming)

  • Practical steps from the Holistic Home Plans & Routines:

    • The Daily Dozen

    • Weekly Tasks

    • House Zones

    • Cyclical Living

Whether you’re ready to refine your rhythms, or just need permission to start small, this episode will remind you that progress comes from consistency,  not perfection. Even one little routine, like a nightly kitchen reset, can shift the tone of your entire home.

074 - The Clutter Conqueror: How to Declutter Mentally, Emotionally, and Physically for a Happier Home09 Sep 202500:19:13

In this episode, we’re continuing the mini-series introducing the Holistic Home Quiz, a gentle guide to help you discover what’s really holding you back from a happier, healthier home.

Today’s focus is on the Clutter Conqueror type - for those of us who feel weighed down by clutter and disorganization. Even though you may long for a calm and organized space, emotional attachment, overwhelm, or simply not knowing where to start can make decluttering feel impossible. But becoming a Clutter Conqueror means learning how to let go of what no longer serves you (mentally, emotionally, and physically),  so you can create space for clarity and calm.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt overwhelmed by piles, mess, or “stuff” that seems to multiply

  • Struggled with guilt, attachment, or decision fatigue around decluttering

  • Wondered why tidying never seems to last in your home

  • Longed for more peace, presence, and functionality in your space

We’ll explore:

  • Why clutter is more than just “stuff” - it’s mental, emotional, and physical

  • How clearing space in one area often creates freedom in others

  • The power of starting small, and why there’s no “perfect” time to declutter

  • The three H’s of clutter clearing: Head (mental), Heart (emotional), and Home (physical)

  • Simple next steps to begin creating a lighter, calmer home today

If clutter is your biggest challenge, you’re not alone AND you don’t have to stay stuck. This episode is here to remind you that decluttering isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress. Every step, no matter how small, is an act of self-love and intention.

072 - Back To School Reset: How to Create a Healthier, Happier Home This Fall05 Sep 202500:21:30

In this episode, we’re stepping into a new season together, shifting from summer stories to the fresh beginnings of September. After a full and beautiful adventure up north with my family, I’m back on the podcast reflecting on that unique “new year” energy that arrives with back-to-school, changing routines, and the first hints of autumn.

This episode is all about the shifts, both inside and outside of our homes, that this time of year naturally invites. It’s about recognizing the overwhelm that can come with new schedules, the temptation to want to “fix everything at once,” and the gentle reminder that creating a happier, healthier home starts with clarity — not more chaos.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt the pull to reset your routines but didn’t know where to start

  • Been overwhelmed by the clutter, energy, or endless to-do list in your home

  • Wanted your outer home to reflect the peace you’re craving inside

  • Longed for a roadmap to finally feel unstuck in your home

We’ll explore:

  • Why September often feels like a second New Year

  • How shifting seasons invite us to reset both inner and outer homes

  • The five most common challenges that hold us back in our homes

  • How the Holistic Home Quiz can help you discover your biggest block

  • What to expect in the upcoming mini-series on the Holistic Home Quiz

Whether you’re standing in the middle of back-to-school chaos, staring at a cluttered counter, or simply craving a sense of fresh energy for this next season, this conversation is here to remind you that you’re not alone — and that you already have what it takes to begin again.

071 - Planting Seeds, Growing Home: A Story of Gardening, Growth, and Intention (Summer Stories)30 Aug 202500:12:38

In this episode, we’re continuing the Summer Stories series. Today’s story is about gardens, growth, and learning to create with intention — not just in the home, but in life.

As we wrap up another great adventure — traveling six weeks through the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Alaska in our travel trailer — I’m reflecting on the gardens we’ve tended over the years. From inherited blooms to gifted plants, to now intentionally planning my garden, this story is about setting intentions, planting seeds, and learning that creating beauty takes time, care, and a little curiosity.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Wanted to grow something beautiful but didn’t know where to start

  • Felt like you were just “working with what you have” instead of creating intentionally

  • Needed a reminder that learning, experimenting, and patience are part of growth

  • Been inspired to bring more intentionality into your home

We’ll explore:

  • How moving through different homes taught me to tend gardens — and life — with care

  • The lessons I’ve learned from receiving plants, experimenting, and learning as I go

  • Why intentionality matters, even in something as simple as planting tulips

  • How gardening parallels creating a holistic, thriving home

  • Ways to create a sense of home on the go, even while traveling

Whether you’re tending a garden, a home, or a season of life, this story is here to remind you that growth isn’t always instant, but with intention, attention and care, it’s always unfolding. Let’s celebrate the blooms — both big and small — along the way. And plant those seeds and tulips bulbs in your own life!

070 - Overcoming Fear of the Unknown: How Staying Comfortable Holds You Back in Home + Life (Summer Stories)22 Aug 202500:11:20

In this episode of Summer Stories, I’m sharing a short story about something as ordinary as a city road, and how it led me to reflect on the ways we navigate our homes and lives.

This week’s story is actually with a friend who resisted driving on a brand-new road near our city. Even though the highway was built to make travel faster and easier, she stuck to her familiar back routes - not because they were better, but because they were well known.

That got me thinking: how often do we do the same thing in our homes and lives? How often do we stay comfortable with what’s familiar, even if it keeps us from a path that could be easier, lighter, or more aligned with what we really want?

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Stuck with old habits even when you knew there might be a better way

  • Let fear of the unknown keep you from trying something new

  • Needed a reminder that small risks can bring big rewards

  • Wanted encouragement to stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone

We’ll explore:

  • Why my friend avoided the ring road for months — and what changed

  • How fear and comfort can quietly hold us back

  • The power of trying something new, even when it feels intimidating

  • What “taking the ring road” might look like in your home and daily life

Whether it’s shifting routines, changing patterns, or simply trying a different way of doing things, this story is here to encourage you to take the leap — to step onto the new road, even if it feels a little scary at first.

Because sometimes the path you’ve been avoiding turns out to be the one that makes life lighter, simpler, and so much easier.

Let’s reflect together on what roads might be waiting for you — and how you can take that first drive toward something new.

069 - What a Grocery Store Meltdown Taught Me About Letting Go and Sharing the Load at Home (Summer Stories)15 Aug 202500:15:54

In this episode, we’re continuing the Summer Stories series — a peek behind the scenes of how I create in my home and on the go.

Today’s story is about groceries… but not in the way you might think. It’s a story about letting go of control and discovering what happens when we invite others to share the load — even if it doesn’t look exactly the way we would do it ourselves.

From the early days of my marriage to the toddler meltdowns in checkout lines, grocery shopping was “my task” for a long time. But as life got fuller (and busier), I reached a breaking point — and my husband stepped in. That’s when I learned that letting someone help isn’t just about handing over a task… it’s about loosening my grip on how it “should” be done.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Felt overwhelmed by the endless to-do list at home

  • Struggled to let others take over a task because they do it differently

  • Wanted to create more shared responsibility in your home

  • Needed a reminder that done is often better than done your way

We’ll explore:

  • How grocery shopping became my husband’s task (and why it was harder to let go than I expected)

  • The sneaky ways control can keep us feeling overworked

  • What diaper duty taught us about teamwork early in parenting

  • Why letting go gives others the space to step up

  • How kids (and partners) learn best when we stop doing it all for them

Whether it’s groceries, laundry, or mowing the lawn, this story is here to remind you that sometimes the best gift you can give your home — and yourself — is to let go of control, welcome the help, and trust that “different” can still be good.

Let’s trade perfection for partnership and find more ease in the everyday.

068 - You Only Live Once: Making Mindful Choices for Your Health and Home (Summer Stories) 08 Aug 202500:10:42

In this episode, we’re continuing the Summer Stories series, a seasonal peek behind the scenes of how I create home, even on the go. Today’s story is about the balance between pleasure and health, and what happens when we reflect on the choices we make in our lives, from sugar to self-care.

Our family recently had a doctor's appointment that sparked an interesting conversation about how we live, what we eat, and how we care for ourselves. My daughter’s take on the advice to limit sugar was a thought-provoking reminder that the "you only live once" mentality is often tied to instant gratification and pleasure.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:

  • Wondered what "you only live once" really means for your health and wellbeing

  • Struggled with balancing joy and health in your daily choices

  • Reflected on how to nourish your body and mind in a meaningful way

  • Questioned the role of pleasure and self-care in your life

We’ll explore:

  • The doctor's advice on sugar and what it means for our health

  • How my daughter’s perspective of “you only live once” made me reflect

  • What it really means to nourish your body for longevity, not just pleasure

  • The balance between joy and health, and how to make mindful choices for the life you want to live

Whether you’re focused on health, pleasure, or both, this story is here to remind you that every choice you make is part of creating the home and life you desire. Sometimes, the choices that nourish you might look different than you expect, but they’re right for you — and they bring you closer to living intentionally.

Let’s dive into the conversation and remember: the life you live is made of the small choices you make every day. Let’s make them count.

067 - Running Out of Gas: What a Travel Lesson Taught Me About Honoring My Energy and Finding Balance01 Aug 202500:12:48

In this episode of the Common Nest Podcast, we're continuing with our Summer Stories series — a seasonal peek behind the scenes of how I create home, even on the go. Today's story is about a close call on the road and the valuable lessons it taught me about our energy, our expectations, and our capacity for grace in different seasons.

This week, I’m sharing a story about the time we almost ran out of gas while traveling in our trailer. It was day one of our trip, and we were learning just how far we could go with our new set-up. But as we hit a dirt road and realized we weren’t getting the mileage we expected, we found ourselves in the middle of nowhere, hoping we'd make it to the next gas station. Thankfully, we did, and it made me reflect on how often we expect too much from ourselves — especially in seasons of change.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever:
