(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed —God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

Car la terre donne d'elle-même du fruit : d'abord l'herbe, puis l'épi, puis le grain tout entier dans l'épi.

For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head

et les soucis du siècle, la séduction des richesses et l'invasion des autres convoitises étouffent la parole, et la rendent infructueuse.

and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful

et ils n’ont pas de racine en eux-mêmes, et ainsi ils ne durent que pour un temps. Ensuite, lorsque survient la tribulation ou la persécution à cause de la parole, ils trébuchent aussitô

and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble

Faites donc bien attention à vous- mêmes et à tout le troupeau dont le Saint-Esprit vous a confié la responsabilité; prenez soin de l'Eglise de Dieu qu'il s'est acquise par son propre sang.

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God

Or, la parabole est la suivante : La semence, c'est la parole de Dieu

Mes petits enfants, pour qui j'éprouve de nouveau les douleurs de l'enfantement, jusqu'à ce que Christ soit formé en vous

My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you

Car, en vérité, je vous le dis, quiconque dira à cette montagne : « Ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer », et qui ne doutera pas en son cœur, mais croira que ce qu’il dit arrivera, ce qu’il dira lui sera accordé.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says

La femme vit que l'arbre était bon à manger, qu'il était agréable à la vue et qu'il était désirable pour ouvrir l'intelligence. Elle prit de son fruit, en mangea. Elle en donna aussi à son mari qui était auprès d'elle, et il en mangea.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

mais tu ne mangeras pas de l’arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal, car le jour où tu en mangeras, tu mourras certainement. »

Mais ceux qui sont tombés sur la bonne terre, ce sont ceux qui, ayant entendu la parole avec un cœur honnête et bon, la retiennent, et portent du fruit avec persévérance.

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience

Mais sachez ceci : dans les derniers jours, des temps difficiles surviendront.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come

and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
