Jeff Bezos, Amazon & The Case That Took Everything | Amy Nelson
mardi 5 mai 2026 • Duration 57:52
What would you do if everything you worked for was suddenly taken from you?
In this episode, Rachel sits down with Amy Nelson to break down a shocking 6-year legal battle involving Amazon, federal prosecutors, and a case that completely unraveled.
Amy’s husband, a former Amazon Web Services real estate executive, was accused of being part of a multi-million dollar kickback scheme tied to data center land deals. Amazon claimed he used insider knowledge to profit from real estate transactions.
Then everything escalated.
The FBI showed up at their home.
The government seized their money.
Their assets were taken.
Their family lost their home and financial stability.
And yet… after years of investigation, the government never filed charges.
Multiple related cases collapsed.
Key guilty pleas were vacated.
No conviction. No charges.
Amy breaks down what really happened behind the scenes, the pressure to plead guilty, and what it’s like to go up against one of the most powerful companies in the world — and survive it.

Charged With Murdering Her Dying Mother - Rachel Waters | Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel #365
mardi 31 mars 2026 • Duration 01:28:49
When Rachel Waters rushed to be by her mother’s side during her final days, she believed she was doing exactly what hospice care had prepared her for — providing comfort, dignity, and love at the end of life.
Instead, she found herself charged with murder.
In this emotional and deeply important episode of Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel, Rachel Waters shares the shocking story of how caring for her dying mother — who was suffering from late-stage cancer and Alzheimer’s — turned into a criminal investigation that threatened the rest of her life.
Following hospice guidance, Rachel administered legally prescribed comfort medication intended to ease her mother’s pain during her final hours. But after her mother passed, authorities launched an investigation that ultimately led to Rachel being charged with murder — despite the involvement of medical professionals, hospice protocols, and documented end-of-life care.
The charges were eventually dismissed, but not before Rachel endured unimaginable emotional, financial, and personal consequences.
Now, Rachel is speaking out and advocating for Marsha’s Law, legislation designed to protect caregivers who follow hospice guidance and administer legally prescribed comfort medications during end-of-life care. Her story highlights a legal gray area that could impact millions of families navigating hospice care every year.

Lighting the Mindfire: Carrie Berk’s Guide to Surviving Gen Z Anxiety
jeudi 15 mai 2025 • Duration 35:54
We live in an era where young people are expected to have it all together — success, style, and a perfectly filtered life. But behind the aesthetic, many are silently battling overwhelming anxiety. In this powerful episode, Rachel sits down with Gen Z author and mental health advocate Carrie Berk, whose new book Mindfire dives deep into what it means to come of age in a world that demands perfection while offering very little compassion.
Carrie opens up about her own experience with anxiety, the pressure of social media, and the importance of redefining strength as vulnerability — not stoicism. Together, they unpack how the wellness industry sometimes misses the mark, why performative self-care can do more harm than good, and how young people can find real tools for healing.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
• Why anxiety is hitting Gen Z harder than any generation before
• How Carrie turned her personal struggles into a mission to help others
• The difference between real mental health advocacy and social media fluff
• What adults often get wrong when trying to support anxious teens
• Why Mindfire is more than a book — it’s a movement

What followed was a journey of profound grief, resilience, and ultimately, spiritual awakening.
