Mindfulness Exercises was founded in 2015 by Sean Fargo to make mindfulness and meditation teaching simple enough for anyone to share it with others. Since starting out as a free online resource with a few meditations and worksheets, we have grown into the world’s #1 online mindfulness teacher training platform, reaching over 20 million people through our website and social media channels. Collaborating with the leading mindfulness practitioners and teachers of our time, we aim to make mindfulness and meditation teaching accessible to anyone with the sincerity and compassion to help others during these challenging times.  Our Vision We envision a world where we all support each other in being present with the love and mystery of each unfolding moment.  Mindfulness isn't a complex, religious, or esoteric practice — it's simply bringing gentle awareness to our moment-to-moment experience. Everyone has the ability to share this gift with others. Our Mission Our mission is to encourage and support each other in practicing and teaching mindfulness with compassion and joy.  No one is mindful 100% of the time. We could all use a little encouragement to be present, to meet this moment with gentle care, and to find the space to respond to life with the wisdom that is already within us. Welcome to the Mindfulness Exercises Podcast. May this be a source of inspiration and motivation for your mindfulness meditation and teachings. Learn more at https://mindfulnessexercises.com/

Sensing into Safety Meditation, with Sean Fargo

Episode 21

mercredi 28 septembre 2022Duration 15:08

With meditation we can practice nurturing and growing a sense of safety for ever-present access to ease. Each of us has a memory, somewhere, of a safe place where we feel at ease, balanced, and welcomed to take refuge. This memory is stored in the body. We might feel a sense of safety in the belly, the heart or the hands, for example.  In this episode, Mindfulness Exercises founder, Sean Fargo, leads us in a meditation on sensing into safety. The practice begins with an invitation to check in and observe how the body is feeling in this present moment. Sean then gently invites us to notice where we feel a sense of safety. By placing our mindful attention in that space, we invite the sensation of safety to grow.      Sean Fargo is a former Buddhist monk and founder of the online resource, Mindfulness Exercises. Sean is the lead instructor for the site’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program and has worked alongside mindfulness pioneers such as Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and Sharon Salzberg. He has taught mindfulness and meditation for corporations, health and government organizations, and prisons and hospitals around the world.  Mindfulness Exercises has shared mindfulness with over 6 million people via free and premium services including downloadable meditations, guided meditation scripts, mindfulness worksheets, courses, content and live online retreats.
