1st off, none of these camera manufacturers are sponsors of ours, we do these challenges for you, the viewer and us of course to see what is the best bang for our buck.  Last year we started a Super Bowl challenge of sort against all of our cameras.  We learned quite a bit on how the cameras "truly" function.  No we are not talking about that low calorie, alcoholic drink.  The cameras have many functionalities: Shutter speed, distance sensitivity, battery usage, sharpness of picture etc.  In 2022 we have some new entrants to test.  Joel and Tim begin our testing of 8 trail cameras to see which one will be the 2022 -  2 Dumb Ass winner!  Welcome to the 1st round.   We hope you enjoy the episode.

We are excited to have a special guest Andy Joseph with the Iowa Department of Agriculture.  He is also the State's Apiarist.  For those of you who may not know what that is its a fancy word for beekeeper.  As part of our mission on Midwest Hunting and Outdoors, we are focused on trying to teach others how to set your property up for creation of habitat.  This habitat takes on a super important species and that is bees.  Andy is super knowledgeable and shares his experience.  We also have Joel's wife (Samantha)  sharing out her experience as a beekeeper as well.  The video you will see will be from her hives.  We certainly hope you enjoy this episode.  Thanks so much for listening.

It is that time of year.  You know it the dog daze of July.  Most of your habitat and CRP work is completed minus a mowing or 2. We are excited and honored to have a special guest from the Rathbun Fish Hatchery.  Chris Clouse - Hatchery Manger has been at the hatchery for well over 20 years.  This hatchery is the most efficient hatchery in the world.  For those of you who don't know, the hatchery is located in beautiful Moravia, Iowa.  The lake is known for its crappies and walleye fishing.  Please listen in as Chris explains the Hatchin' process of managing Walleye.  This is really some fascinating stuff.  Enjoy
