Welcome to the 204th episode of Angels Don't Lie with your host Jeanne Street. In today’s episode, Jeanne closes out this month’s Prayer Life and Manifesting series by sharing the story behind the release of her first book, “The Goddess You, Principles for Living in Soul Alignment.” As we celebrate the six-year anniversary of her very first book signing on January 26th, 2017, Jeanne shares with sincere vulnerability the struggles that she faced in not only writing this book, but in writing a book with dyslexia and the limiting self-talk that came from identifying as an author. The “I’m not,” the “I can’t,” the “I won’t,” the “I don’t look like them,” “I don’t have those talents or gifts….”. Jeanne shares that these limiting beliefs were holding her back from her true potential. But with the help from a dear friend, Colleen Fairchild - Jeanne was able to hone in, focus, manifest and come to love-on the identity of being an author, but more importantly - she was able to put EGO to rest. The more that she let go of what she had framed herself to be, and instead listened to God - she found that these “titles” (like the title author) don’t have the real value that she was putting on them. “To say I’m an author is claiming the beauty that God gifted me with, it doesn’t have to do with formulating, trying and overdoing - it has to do with leaning into his arms, embracing his words and his love. I stopped questioning ‘AM I doing this right?’ And instead, I leaned in with GODfidence.”
What is the thing you are desiring most? Creating, doing, becoming? “What am I actually saying to myself?” “What are the storylines behind what is coming before me?” “What has the outside world taught me, And how can I let it go?”
We step into the first Goddess Principle from this book– Quieting our Mind: we can’t do anything without quieting our mind.

Self Publishing Master Class Before I began my writing journey I had misguided beliefs about what it meant to be a published author. Those beliefs led me to take action from that perspective. The actions were an energetic match for the low vibe I lived in. If we look at our beliefs as being magnetic we can understand how we invite into our lives the measure in which our energy is. Basically lack mentality attracts more lack energy. One of my mentors that I studied under taught me to write in the same way I teach, from my heart center. I believe writing is more than just the act of getting your thoughts down on paper. It’s about first connecting to your feelings and then emoting them out of you through a writing process, think of it as a written recorded conversation between the Divine and your soul self. Writing is healing and expressive, creative energy that flows from within you and through you as an outward expression of your soul. Writing creates experiences for others. It offers hope, reflection, connection and an opportunity to feel what the author is intending. One man's journey of being abandoned by his family, left to starve and find shelter on the streets of Brazil to finding God through forgetting Him first. Allessandro tells us about how he gave up on God and turned inward to trust only himself. His life of crime and violence was turned around after meeting a spiritualist who gave him a chance to reclaim his life and led him to become the humanitarian and following God's guidance to be of service. I am joined this week by Katie Coelho. Her and Jonathan's story has made national news headlines and Katie was asked to tell their heartbreaking story on the Anderson Cooper show. Katie's is mother of two beautiful children, Braedyn and Penny. Her message today is both painful and powerful. When Jonathan and I became a couple 10 years ago, we knew that our broken puzzles were completed. We had both come from lives filled with challenges, loss and growth. But when we came together, we felt we could conquer life together, and life decided to give us huge mountains to climb.
Our journey was filled with devastating pregnancy loss, IVF, a son who was born with severe medical complexities, and a daughter who was our miracle baby.
We had been through so much in our 10 years together, we thought our family could conquer anything as long as we did it together.
Then Covid 19 happened, my husband, my children and I were all infected. Our fear was for our son who fell into the high-risk category, thankfully the kids and I were mostly asymptomatic. Jonathan, however, became very ill and was intubated without my knowledge. He fought for 28 hard days; he was determined to come home to us. However, life had other plans and he passed unexpectedly on April 22nd. Making me a widow at 33 years old, and our 1 and 2 ½ year old without their amazing father.
After sitting with Jonathan after he passed, I discovered a goodbye note he had written the kids and I before we even knew he was going to be intubated. This note ended up going viral, and since I’ve been able to share what an incredible husband, father and human Jonathan was. It’s now my life mission to share our story, and his story.
•My goal is to show people the realness of grief, the ups and downs of losing your soulmate and spouse. •That its ok to not be ok, to lose your faith but try to find it ok •To help families with medically complex children and the hope you can find in your chaotic life •How to parent and keep going when your life has been turned upside down. My guest Stephanie LaBonte owner of Empowered Girls Rise and Grown Up Girl Community sat down with me this week and shared some valuable info on a sensitive subject for women... Self Worth! What you'll find inside this session: There is often a disconnect between KNOWING you are worthy and FEELING you are worthy. Worth is something you are born with, you don't need to work hard for it or impress others. 3 ways low self worth shows up in your life: You take care of everyone else's needs before your own. You don't believe or trust yourself. Endless scrolling and comparing yourself to others. 5 tips to feel more worthy: 1. Start to recognize without judgement some of the thoughts you are having about yourself that are negative. Thoughts like, "I'm not good enough", "I am so stupid" or "I can't do anything right" can creep in and take hold of your subconcious. 2. Be curious about these thoughts. I caution against going with a positive thought because it will just reinforce the negative thought or make it feel impossible to attain. Instead ask questions about your thoughts. Where did you hear that before? Where did it come from? What do you like about yourself? How can you feel better? 3. . Set Boundaries. Evaluate what is not aligned with who you really are. Are you giving away too much of yourself? Does your routine not allow for you to take time for yourself? Are there people who are taking advantage of you? What boundaries can you put in place? 4. Anchor in to your values. What is most important to you? Decide what your values are and only do what aligns with them. 5. Give yourself extra self love and self care. It is a process and a journey. The side effect of doing this work is feeling more joy, freedom, love and abundance. | |||

More from Dorian... Women over 40 experience a long period of hormonal change that can have a profound impact on their bodies, their lives and their ultimate happiness. We are supposed to be superwomen, right? Just deal with it. Why do we expect that this change is just "normal" and not a big deal? It happens to everyone, right? But what is it that REALLY happens. I will tell you that most women are blindsided by it. I believe that the menopausal period is The Great Disrupter for us. The fact of the matter is that women are not educated before the disruption starts to happen. By the time they realize the massive effect it is having on them, they've gained weight, and can't seem to control it and feel really lousy about themselves. In many cases, it can cause us to lose or have a shift in our very identity. If you have been going through or have gone through menopause, have you ever looked at yourself and said "Where did I go?" "Whose body is this?" "Why can't I get this under control?" The answer to that question is because you are fighting a new battle with an old plan. And honestly, you don't need to be fighting, you need to be educated so that you can take the actions necessary to compliment it. Work side by side. I am here as that educuator and coach. I created my wellness program for women over 40 because I saw the frustration, and believed there was an answer. I created my program to help them understand what is happening to their bodies and self-confidence, and give them a New Plan...a New Way to Wellness based on six lifestyle essentials. My goal for them is to take back their bodies, win back their confidence and create a NEW identity as a fabulous woman over 40.
I am uniquely qualified to work with these women because I am one of them. I began the creation and implementation of my methods when I was 48. I not only coached it to other women, but I lived it myself as I am now 57 years old. I feel more confident than I ever have , and I am just starting to live my true purpose and calling. My other mission is through the experiences of my clients, to educate women in their 30's as to the reality of what is coming, and to take action now to prepare. Y You carry within you a particle of the cross. Without the cross, Your Pain is pain. Your suffering on it's own is hard & lonely. When your suffering is united with Jesus, your pain has a purpose. Your suffering has meaning and your failure is fruitful. In your radical acceptance of the cross your surrender is giving God access to the suffering, pain and failures of your life. Surrender isn't weakness or giving up. It is not passive. Surrender is deep, intimate and vulnerable work. You are exposing that which is burdening your mind and your heart. Today, you are going to go on a journey through the stations of the cross. Your experience through this meditative channeled experience will shake some things up within you. You will experience a wide range of emotions. Trust yourself to feel these out. Know that you are held in so much love and respect for all that you've been through in this life thus far. Stay with me all the way through and I promise that as we come to the close you will have transcended some blocks and healed a separation to love that you didn't know existed. We have to be willing to have the hard conversations. We have to be willing to be uncomfortable. We have to hear from each other – how all of this feels, be willing to answer and ask the questions on our heart. We can never stop listening! Speak up! We all have to step up with our friends and family. If someone says something racist or inappropriate about race, sexual preference, religion…. Stop them in their tracks – let them know it’s not ok and let them know why it’s not ok for you. Educate – Educate – Educate Educate yourself – read, watch, listen Educate your children Join organizations, clubs or activities that will enable you and or your children to have exposure to from different races and backgrounds. Support – Donate – Volunteer Support organizations doing work that you think important in support of black and brown people. Can be through your time – your gift or your treasure. Support minority or black owned businesses. We have to begin to put our $$ where our hearts are! This place and time! I believe we are in this place and time because we need to be We are exactly where we are meant to be All of the “stuff” that’s coming to the top has been there for many years It was just a matter of time before it began to boil over. But God! Faith, Hope & Love For me personally, I believe that we have to believe in something – God, Jehovah, Buddah, Allah, Universe, Source…. Whatever brings you closer to a higher power. The type of transformative change we need will require genuine faith, hope, love, grace, mercy and a whole lot of prayer. Recent devotional – God doesn’t have a problem with making possible what we think is impossible. Matthew 19:26 – "Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Patience – It’s going to take time! Lasting, progress & change takes time! It’s not going to happen overnight. This change and progress will be uncomfortable – it won’t be easy. There will be many times where it just won’t feel good. Sometimes we’re going to just have to sit with a lot of questions with seemingly no answers in sight. An early 1900’s Austrian – German Poet wrote – “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day, into the answer.” – Poet Rainer Maria Rilke In these times, we need to remember to be gentle and kind with ourselves and each other. Really important time for us all to be mindful and responsible for our mental, physical and emotional health. Last but not least! In such a transformative time in history there’s learning in our leaning in and understanding asking what can I do? what part can I play? We will ultimately have to get past protesting – protesting is a great way of spreading the word but it’s only the beginning. We will need to strengthen healthcare systems, education, create and teach economic empowerment in black and brown communities and so much more. It’s going to be a long hard road but I am hopeful when we get to the other side that the future will be very bright! We have to lean in to love and trust our inner knowing. We must come to learn that our differences make us stronger. The diversity of color, age, race, nationality, sexual orientation need to be intertwined in our thought word and deed. We cannot thrive without each other In Zulu there’s a word – Ubuntu One we in America can definitely learn from, It speaks to the ability to show compassion, love, peace, reciprocity, dignity and humanity to our fellow humans. It’s a spirit of oneness and the interconnectedness of all life Desmond Tutu described it as – “My humanity is inextricably bound up in yours.’ We belong in a bundle of life.” Ubuntu says," I am Because we are"!
