Men of Low Moral Fiber – Details, episodes & analysis

Hey all, thanks for joining us along this journey for the last 9 years. We stared Men Of Low Moral Fiber when I was 30 years old and I just turned 39, so all of my 30s were consumed with recording MOLMF episodes, editing them, publishing, planning, scheduling, and playing the actual MOLMF games. It was exhausting and exhilarating and I'll never forget it...aside from all of the stuff I forgot along the way. 

The whole idea was to do this as a community, focus on relationships, and have a little fun along the way as an excuse to stay in touch. It was one a lovely time full of learning, hilarity, entertaining moments, frustrating puzzles, obscene duck and chicken censors, lots of stupid musical segments—complete with equally stupid musical theme songs, and an insightful guest or two along the way.

All in all we covered 90 full game episodes, plus 39 Side Quests, holiday episodes, and random interviews and shorts along the way. If you were one of the special people who celebrated these classic games along with us, we thank you.

It's been real, but now we're closing up shop. Don't worry though, I'll be playing Outer Wilds, Inscryption, and Balatro FOREVER...just not recording episodes about them. Or at least not publishing them. 

We'll miss you all.

We're back and later than ever! Here's our December episode and it's the beautiful puzzle game The Gardens Between. As usual, we all felt very differently about this game, but in the end we all very much enjoyed the experience. Hope you got a chance to play it too!

We're back! Happy holidays and new years and all that: here's our belated November episode: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor! We were lucky to back Tyler Weaver back on the pod after he joined us for the first game, Jedi: Fallen Order. We had a lovely time, and can't wait to have him back for Star Wars Outlaws sometime in 2024. And despite what Jason continues to say throughout this episode, all three of us really enjoyed this game! Hope you enjoy this episode just as much...

Strong Bad, Homestar, and The Cheat are BACK! This time in a trilogy to end all trilogies in the freshly rewrapped and vamped again: Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate! We couldn't help ourselves and had to immediately insert this magnificent game directly into our calendar, and then directly into our veins and eye holes. MAN OH MAN was it a treat too. Hope you get a chance to enjoy it as well!

After some silliness Corri, Ben, & Jason get into the serious stuff of what this game is and how it came to be (5:45) then dive deeeeeep into the gameplay (22:30). It's an oldie but a goodie in this month's game, and we're joined by none other than the delightful Gabi Kirilloff to walk us through all the good and the not-as-good aspects of the game.

After some chitchat nonsense the gang gets into the history of the game and development before getting deep into the gameplay (26:30). After that they play an problematic round of "What's The Drink? Another month sans Corrigan, but the Helms Bros are back at it again with a blast from the...recently released games: Season: A Letter to the Future. A laid-back adventure game with an ethereal aesthetic that is best when you're not rushing through things, Season was a joy to play. Sit down on a sacred square of earth and listen as we recap our favorite moments together...

After the shenanigans, the boys talk about some of the controversy of the game and Scavengers Studios as a whole (7:30) then get into the majority of the conversation which centers around the gameplay (13:15).
