Back for another season of cult cinema watching, the journey through the Mad, Bad and Downright Strange movie list continues with Alex Cox's cult classic "Repo Man" as I'm joined once more by Greg Sahadachny (Debatable Podcast) as the hunt for a 1964 Chevrolet Malibu and the mysterious contents of it's trunk is waged through a truly unique vision of L.A.

Writer / Podcaster Kristen Lopez (Journeys In Classic Film / Ticklish Buisness) joins for me for a David Cronenberg double as we look at two films from his more overlooked period of work which falls between "The Fly" and "A History of Violence".  First up Cronenberg does for video games what "Videodrome" did for TV in 1999's "eXistanZ". 

We also question why Jeremy Irons didn't get the Oscar for his potrayal of identical twin brothers / gynocologists in "Dead Ringers"  All this plus why Cronenberg keeps appearing as doctors, the career path of Jeremy Irons and the forgotten films of Cronenberg plus more!!

For this episode I'm joined by Kristen Lopez as we take a look at one of the more overlooked era's of cinema history "Pre-Code Hollywood".  A brief period between the introduction of the first sound pictures in 1929 to the enforcement of the “Motion Picture Production Code” in 1934 there existed an era known as Pre-Code Hollywood. A wild time for cinema as films were produced including profanity, drug use, prostitution, infidelity and abortion, while it also produced films featuring heroic criminal figures and strong female characters in what would be one of the wildest, yet still strangely overlooked era in cinema history and one we set out to explore on this episode.
