With the win, the Mavs are the only undefeated team in the Western Conference at 4-0 heading into Friday's matchup with Nikola Jokic and the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.

The worst-case Christmas Day scenario for the Dallas Mavericks was realized on Wednesday afternoon, as they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves and superstar Luka Doncic suffered a calf injury that will likely keep him sidelined for a significant period of time. Dalton Trigg and Drew Johnson recap the Mavs' near comeback from being down 28 points, led by Kyrie Irving, who finished with a game-high 39 points. Although Doncic's injury was a big blow, the guys discuss how the Mavs' roster was built to withstand this kind of adversity. Dallas is currently 6-2 without Doncic this season, so we'll see if they can keep up that success over the next several weeks.
