From Battling Burnout to Becoming Balanced - Featuring Amy Kandetzke08 May 202300:41:24
“Because the female body is so, so sensitive to stress, especially in perimenopause and menopause, we need to support it the right way, not only during the fast, but before the fast. And that means supporting your body with the correct amount of protein, the correct amount of nutrients. And then during the fast, I actually encourage small snacks throughout the day because there's research out there that shows that as long as we keep our calories less than 500 and we're still getting all the benefits of the intermittent fasting, but we're keeping our blood sugar stable because as you know, when our blood sugar crashes, our cortisol goes up and we don't want that. That's our fat storing hormone.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Amy Kandetzke shares her mission to help women find the root case of the symptoms and provide a solution to achieve optimal health through nutrition, lifestyle modifications and supplementations. The Fit Life With Tab - Featuring Tabitha Goldsmith03 Apr 202300:44:07
“Just like anything in life, if we want something, we get to decide. I think it's all perspective and this is where I tie in the mindset component of the work with my clients is it's all around empowered decisions. So when we think I couldn't do that because I'd have to give up X, Y and Z, we take our power away, right? Instead of being like, well, what's possible, could it be possible, what would it look like? Has anybody else ever done this with kids balance, this lifestyle with kids because I did it in college and it's the same with my stepdad. It was really just I didn't see what was possible within me until he suggested it from a place of love. And it was kind of the same way with bodybuilding when I saw a friend of mine and she was a bodybuilder and thought her body, her physique was amazing, but I never thought I could do it. And she just such confidence says, of course you could. Yeah, of course I'll show you and it was just no big deal and I thought, really and so you learn through every stage.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Tabitha Goldsmith, a life and health coach and bodybuilding enthusiast shares how she helps purpose-driven women to create results without giving up the things they love. Some of the topics covered in the episode are: ·       The role of evidence collection in our brains and how it affects our perception of situations ·       How to avoid negative comparisons and instead see the possibilities that arise from seeing others doing cool things ·       The power of recognizing thoughts and how it impacts actions and choices ·       Tab's flexible food strategy based on intuitive eating, fueling with plants and proteins, and tapping into hunger cues If you enjoyed this episode, please take a screenshot of the episode and tag me in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlap If you would like to connect with me, please email me at:   Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community: Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my website:   Connect with Tabitha:
Balancing Hormones for Better Quality of Life: Managing Symptoms of Menopause - Featuring Tricia Cammaart27 Mar 202300:43:36
“I really like to focus on balancing blood sugar and that in itself can help fix waking up in the night. It can help fix the brain fog with the belly fat and it is a big transition and I like to work with just like women eating three meals a day and really like making those that breakfast, that lunch and that dinner, like, very substantial, but having a little bit of fasting time and fasting overnight as well. However, I know that change isn't the easiest to do and I think that is one of the hardest things, there's no magic pill that we can take to make things easy. And as we start to see these hormones decrease, like everything gets harder and we have to work harder, we have to allow ourselves the time for self-care so we can put that in.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Tricia Cammaart shares how she helps women over 40 reduce inflammation and improve their metabolic health so they can feel and look their best. Some of the topics covered in the episode are: ·       Symptoms of menopause (hot flashes, constipation, overwhelm, lack of clarity, sleep problems, belly fat, hopelessness) ·       Strategies to alleviate menopause symptoms (balancing blood sugar, three substantial meals a day, overnight fasting) ·       The importance of addressing blood sugar regulation for overall health ·       The challenges of making lifestyle changes during menopause ·       The role of a coach in supporting and motivating clients through lifestyle changes.   If you enjoyed this episode, please take a screenshot of the episode and tag me in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlap If you would like to connect with me, please email me at:   Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community: Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my website:   Connect with Tricia:
Connecting with Spirit - Featuring Nikki K20 Mar 202301:02:02
“It’s been a slow progression and I just have to keep reminding myself, I have so much shit that's been buried within because I didn't deal with that for 35 years. I have to slowly unpeel the layers back and not feeling shame or guilt around putting myself in this position because sometimes people can think, well, God, I just put myself into position. It's funny when we start to listen to the conversations we have with ourselves and how cruel we can be with ourselves. And it's just in just being gentle with ourselves and noticing the thought and letting it go and being okay.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Nikki K shares how she teaches type A women to ditch the hustle for good so they can live unapologetically on their own terms and show up as the most bold, badass soulful version of themselves. Assessing Metabolic Damage and Dysfunction13 Feb 202300:22:32
"Most of the time when people are in my sphere, you know, they're basically having trouble with weight loss. They're struggling with symptoms such as they keep gaining weight, they can't lose weight or they're losing weight, gaining weight, losing weight, gaining weight. They can't sleep. Maybe they have trouble following sleep, Maybe they have trouble staying asleep or maybe they fall asleep just fine. But then wake up in the middle of the night between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. They have belly fat. They have extra fat on their back. They don't feel like themselves. They have no energy. Their snappy short fuse, low energy. They get energy dips throughout the day. Or maybe they wake up and they just feel very, very tired and they just can't seem to get a grip. And they just feel like their brain is chaos because they can't focus and there's just this nonstop noise going on in their brain. Right. Totally sucks. I've been there. And so that is a prime example of somebody that would need this assessment and they could really, really, really benefit from the assessment." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I share how digging deep into your potential roadblocks with your metabolism, such as Metabolic Dysfunction and Damage can really be the core issue getting in your way. I share my current offer which is a full Metabolic Assessment and the opportunity to win a FREE assessment by taking a screenshot and tagging me along with the secret word "assessment" in social media between February 13th and February 28, 2023. Unlocking Your Health Potential - From Symptoms to Solutions - Featuring Justin Janoska06 Feb 202300:44:04
“The worst thing we can do and people do this is to be antagonistic and fight and complain and argumentative with them about it, which people do, and then take that home and rant about it at Facebook groups and the spouse and then lash out their kids. Because here's what I'm going to say, is that you're the one losing. At the end of the day, it's not them, and you're only going to feel worse because guess what really got you sick in the first place probably is all the psychological stress you've had in your life and then you're just reinforcing it. So like it's always going to be about controlling you, which is really the overarching and the fulcrum of what I teach people. Because challenges and difficulty, whether it's this or something else, is not going to change. It's all about working on what's inside and not being reactive, being more reflective, all that stuff. It's hard skill set to develop, but we can do it. But that is the real teaching because that's what's going to keep you you know, to sustain the life you want and to weather the storm.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Justin Janoska shares his journey as an autoimmune disease expert and how he helps women regain control of their body so they can live their best life.  Some of the topics covered in the episode are: What Role Does Genetics Play in Autoimmune Disease How to Heal from Trauma without Protocols The Science Behind Autoimmune Disease If you enjoyed this episode please take a screenshot of the episode and tag me in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlapIf you would like to connect with me, please email me at:   Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community: Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my website:   Connect with Justin: Podcast:
How Resolving Anxiety Can Change Your Life - Featuring Tyler Charlebois30 Jan 202301:08:20
“I really believe that we will always follow through with who we believe that we are and we'll never be able to do something that is inconsistent with our identity. So, if you don't believe you're the kind of person who would X, Y, Z, your brain's not even going to question if you can or not, because that's not who I am. So, whenever I'm working with someone, for example, I'm always making sure that whatever the changes I help create, whether it's from anxiety to confidence or whatever, the happiness, like whenever I help them get that result, we make sure that that becomes a part of their identity so that way it actually sticks long term.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Tyler Charlebois shares his journey which started with the desire to understand the driving force of human behavior and has now made it his life’s mission to help people relieve their anxiety.  Some of the topics covered in the episode are: How To Get Comfortable with Difficult Emotions  Strategies to Overcome Fear and Anxiety  The 3 Decisions We’re Always Making If you enjoyed this episode please take a screenshot of the episode and tag me in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlapIf you would like to connect with me, please email me at:   Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community:   Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my website:   Connect with Tyler:

“You have the ability to build your business in a way that is going to support your needs and we're just creatives, right? And so we love to learn, we love to create and so you have to have that support staff and such that that will allow that to happen. Which is such a beautiful thing to work for ourselves because we can build it out however it is that we want to fit in our life versus trying to fit a like a round peg into or square whatever, into a round hole or whatever that whole scene is. “There is no question there, menopause symptoms, they're very controllable. Anyhow, women, at least I know a lot of them that I tend to attract. My body is just doing this crazy stuff and I just don't know what to do anymore and it's like it has its mind of its own, but they don't recognize. “I was constantly moving from therapist to therapist while I was married, because I always thought I was the problem. And the therapist would be like, well, I mean, obviously you're not perfect, none of us are but in this scenario, you have to make a decision. And there was so many times that therapists, we would literally end after that because I wasn't ready to make that decision.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as guest Ashley Deluca shares her journey in finding the courage to break free from an abusive marriage and finally take back her life and thrive in her business. “Stress does gives you a little bit of that that energetic boost. It gives you a little bit of focus but the problem is, is that people get addicted to that and that's where I was talking about. Are you addicted to the stress hormones? And that is where the problems come in and you have to pull the reins in on what are all of these dynamics that really need to be looked at in your life. Reduce Your Stress - Release the Weight Challenge - Day 219 Dec 202200:49:40
“Most people's metabolisms do need to be rebuilt. If you want to lose weight, you have to rebuild your metabolism because a lot of times it's broken for lack of better words. And of course your hormones must be balanced. So there's a good chance that you are fatigued, feel exhausted, you're having a hard time losing weight, you have low libido. You might have feelings of being depressed and you might wake up with a sense of dread. Trouble sleeping or maybe you have a hard time staying asleep. Reduce Your Stress - Release the Weight Challenge - Day 112 Dec 202200:45:08
“Now when it comes to a problem, we're going to talk about a couple of problems here. But we as women, we tend to think that if we exercise more and eat less, that this is going to be the answer to our problem, which is hanging on to weight, so on and so forth. But really all this does is it creates more hunger, low energy cravings, weight gain, and then you just keep repeating the cycle over and over. It's literally like a method for suffering. So if you're doing this, this is not going to work. If it does work for you and if it has worked for you, it will work for a very short amount of time and then you have to cycle out of it. You cannot stay in this type of a phase for long periods of time.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as Kelly discusses how you can achieve and maintain a good balance between your nervous system and what you can do to commit and cultivate a regular practice that is sustainable to live a long and healthy life. The ART of My Coaching Methods05 Dec 202200:46:34
“I work with a lot of women. Typically they are over 35, usually closer to 40. They are starting to feel the consequences of a lot of their choices from when they were in their twenties. For example, when I was in my 20’s I was constantly exercising! I would literally exercise 3x a day and eat a potato.  Not knowing that I would be paying the price later on. So we tend to have these behaviors and way of operating and we think that that is the way to go when in fact all we're doing is creating a much bigger problems for later. Often times people have adrenal dysfunction. They don't recognize it because they don't know how bad they feel and some of the symptoms to look for. People have digestive issues…only going to the bathroom once a week. That  is not normal. They are tired, but they they don't know how tired they truly are. When we become a certain age, for example, like menopausal women are definitely the type a type of woman that I work with as well. I mean, I'm 50 years old, right? And I'm perimenopausal. So menopause, premenopausal women, people who have PCOS, any thing that really involves hormones. But also, as you'll hear in this episode, I talk about how the mind is such a large part of what I do as well, because if we don't change things within that subconscious mind. It is imperative that I help you to recognize your operating system and belief systems because if you don’t, then you are always going to continue to do the same thing over and over and over again. And I help you to really bring that to the forefront so that you can rewire your brain and create a whole new reality. There's a lot to it and I love it!”  In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as Kelly discusses the art of her practice. How being a coach is not about calories and exercise. It is her magical ability to help you achieve and maintain a good balance between 3 of your body’s systems. Your nervous system, your endocrine system, and your autonomic system. The Nervous System Stress Response as it Relates to my Childhood Story28 Nov 202200:36:15
“I remember back then I developed a nervous tummy and would puke bile in the mornings. When it came time to get ready for school, I was a nervous wreck all the time, and I remember that time my mom even took me to the doctor. It was just it was just an awful, awful time and my sister and I, we would actually talk about that a little bit. And the doctor had to do something very uncomfortable and he said, I'm sorry, I have to do this and we still talk about that like, why was that even necessary? I don't know, it's just weird. So, the nervous stomach really became a huge problem when I was around eight years old. And it's interesting now that I understand the nervous system and resilience and the way that we are able to handle certain situations and how fragile we really are. It's these past experiences that created some behaviours and habits that led through my later years.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as Kelly shares her childhood experience in a difficult and challenging environment and how she overcame the struggles to find self-acceptance and peace. Hormone Reset Challenge - Day 314 Nov 202200:57:52
“Values are connected to your beliefs and guide the decisions that you make. So why are they important? Well, when you get clear on them, you're not going to feel a sense of failure. You're not going to feel this resistance. You'll never feel uncertainty and you certainly will not feel indecisive. You will feel like that is a solid hell yes and then does the solid hell no. So for example, I lived my life with these four emotions. It was like a nonstop thing and oh my God, it was a struggle. And then becoming a business owner, it was just like that was the struggle, having these emotions and I've done a lot of work and I still do a lot of work and I still have some things that I'm not really sure. Like, what is that, is there still a weed in there right? So, I just decided to hire another coach, you and that I feel can help me work through that. There's something still there so, when I started to get very clear on my values, it made decision making so much easier.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, we are going to dig into your behaviors and your current identity and why it’s important to understand your internal representation of the world. Hormone Reset Challenge - Day 214 Nov 202201:08:24
“I don't want you to think insulin is an absolute bad guy because it is an important hormone that we have. But we just have to be super mindful with insulin, right? And then we have your inflammation, which is basically your body's natural immune response to protecting and shielding itself. So, I want you to think about like inflammation as the cleanup crew. “Most people might say, I just want a faster metabolism. No, you don't. If you had a fast metabolism, you'd have problems. You'd be hungry all the time. It would just cause massive issues. You'd be going to the bathroom all the time. You want a flexible metabolism, and the reason why you want to flex the metabolism is because you want it to be able to adapt to changes in a way that are positive so that you aren't affected negatively in the downstream. You want flexible metabolism. Now, just want to make mention here that metabolism and genetics, your metabolic rate is unique, as I had mentioned, about everything being true but partial. Fit and Focused Reset Challenge - Day 307 Nov 202200:25:02
“Doing some resistance training is going to be super, super, super beneficial in so many ways. And when I say resistance training, it doesn't mean lifting heavy weights, although in my opinion, lifting heavy is ideal but for most people, that's not where they're at. For a lot of people, it's like, Hey, let's just get you fucking started with moving using your own body weight, right? And then we can always add in some weights from that point so it also again, this is the biggest point that I want to share here is that our goal is to preserve muscle. We want to preserve muscle, especially as we are maturing and age. You guys, it is so important to preserve the muscle so it's not about how many calories you're burning. It's not about that. It's about preserving your muscle while you're able to burn fat. All right, this is the goal. We want to have good body composition.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as I discuss how you can mitigate reduction of muscle mass by boosting your metabolism and enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Some of the topics covered in the episode are: * How to improve body composition with nutrition and exercise. * The importance of tuning in to your body for recovery. * Simple workout routine to get you moving.     Link to the .   If you enjoyed this episode please take a screenshot of the episode and tag me in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlap If you would like to connect with me, please email me at:   Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community: Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my website:
Fit and Focused Reset Challenge - Day 207 Nov 202200:33:58
“What this is all about, is to help you to find that balance and to help you to really be in a place of giving yourself some grace and knowing that you can have it all. Like, you don't have to choose. You don't have to have that feeling of, okay, I got to be good or bad. So, I want you to ask yourself this question. How would your life change if you felt more comfortable with your food choices, not having the guilt, the all or nothing mindset, or feeling like you have to choose being good or bad? How would your life change? I know for me it was like the biggest ticket to freedom. Once I finally figured that out, once I finally got to a place of contentment and feeling like, Yeah, I can do this, I can have that balance. It's no big deal.”   In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as I share how you can become comfortable with food choices and enjoy the food you love without the guilt. Fit and Focused Reset Challenge - Day 107 Nov 202200:56:04
“Balance, I think, is such a difficult thing for people to achieve because there are so much of this all or nothing mindset. So, there's this, you know, if I eat this, I'm bad or if I have that, I'm good, right and then we have this way of thinking and then we feel like we're sinking and then we feel like we're on top of the world. And then it's just this emotional rollercoaster but I promise you that you can have balance, that you can have all the things…you can have a social life without feeling guilt and shame. The next day you can have a glass of wine without having the thought of I was bad. You can have a cookie, it is okay. All of it is okay. It's just you have to get to the point where it's like, okay, I can balance all this. I can definitely have my cake and eat it too, per se, right? It's just all about the balance.” In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in as I share my three-part method on weight loss through identity change.  Some of the topics covered in the episode are: *The importance of having a framework and strategy for your weight loss goals.* Why mindset is key to stress management and how to manage the triggers. * Looking at the deeper roots and other underlying issues should be a priority. .   If you enjoyed this episode please take a screenshot of the episode and tag me in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlapIf you would like to connect with me, please email me at:   Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community: Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my website:
Heal Strong - Featuring Jared Tavasolian05 Sep 202200:31:41
"I do a form of bodywork and I push on people's bodies. It's kind of a mix between acupressure and reflexology. And depending on where you are, that sore or tender or have pain, it refers to a different organ in the body. So if the anterior deltoid. So I'll give you one quick story. Like I had a client who could have one arm go straight up and the other arm kind of was crooked way. He could barely get it up over his forehead. And he was a contractor and so he's like, I have to carry these panels all day long. And we're kind of doing an intake. And I'm like, Okay, well, have you had any major illnesses or diseases or anything? And I know that anterior deltoid refers to the gall bladder. So like that's in my training, I learned that. And so in my head, I'm hearing my mentor tell me my gallbladder like I'm getting the hits for gallbladder. And he goes, Yeah, like nine months ago I had my gallbladder removed. So it's this indication that our organs relate to our muscles and that's what then causes pain." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, listen in on a great conversation I had with my dear friend, Jared Tavasolian. Jared is an amazing human who helps people to stop suffering and start thriving. He uses many cool techniques which are amazing, as I have had a taste! I cannot wait for you to hear. Some of the topics covered in the episode are: *The importance of addressing the nervous system and not over stressing the body. *The false information being put out there by social media and advertisements. How someone can "look think and healthy" but are really the walking wounded and full of pain. *Owning responsibility for your part of your current situation. Boundaries, Values, and Integrity - What those have to do with the way you are viewed by others.04 Sep 202200:33:09
"You have got to manage your stress levels and recognize what stress is. It's not just, Oh, I'm driving on the street and this guy cut me off. It's thinking the thoughts and the thinking that you have. Are you worried about money? Are you worried about what you said to Sally? Are you worried about going to work tomorrow? Are you worried about I mean, there are all kinds of shit we have in our head that we really need to clear ourselves of, you know, past traumas even, you know, that's a big one. The other thing when it comes to stress as I said, is sleep. Make sure you are on top of your sleep." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I share a Facebook Live where I talk about the importance of how you are showing up on a day-to-day basis, not just for yourself but more importantly for others.   I also share a very personal story which I am now looking back, and am able to see clear as day where  Some of the topics covered in the episode are: *The importance of having boundaries. Why Can't I Lose Weight? & What you can do now to change that!03 Sep 202200:27:48
"The body is designed to do two things. It's designed to survive so that it can reproduce. That's all it cares about. So it is constantly doing like internal data on itself to make sure that everything is right. So this skin suit that we are living in is designed to do just that. And we always think that our body is working against us when it really isn't. It's just doing what it's designed to do, which is survive and reproduce." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I share a Facebook Live where I speak of some of the many reasons why your body is not prioritizing weight loss and what you can do to change that right now.  Some of the topics covered in the episode are: *The most common and most important factors that impact weight loss. *The top 3 things you can focus on NOW to reach your goasl with ease. *The the role epigenetics plays in your goals. Why Understanding Your Genetic SNPS Can Transform Your Health09 May 202200:45:16
"Kelly, you got that one, too, the A-OK one Gene. Lactose intolerance, too, as well. You don't make this enzyme very well called lactase. Remember, it's an enzyme ends in a chop, chop chop that breaks down the big giant molecule of dairy, cow's milk. The problem with cow's milk is the molecule is huge. And you're trying to put it's like trying to push your elephant through your bedroom door for folks that have these issues. They drink milk or have ice cream, which I love, unfortunately. And the problem is the molecule is too big to fit through the cells to get into your bloodstream, and it causes digestive disruption. Kelly would benefit from taking lactase digestive enzymes if she does want to have dairy." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I had the pleasure of having the most amazing conversation with my dear friend and brilliant, Dr. Daniel Farkas, a functional medicine doctor, who specializes in gut health, neurotransmitters, and genetics. Some of the topics covered in the episode are: *Why certain genetic snps make you susceptible to certain food intolerances  *What you can do with certain genetic snps - how you can work with and around them. *You may not have the ability to change your DNA and your genetics but you certainly can break the "cycle" and change your epigenetics.  If you enjoyed this episode with me and Dr. Farkas, please take a screenshot the episode and tag us in your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlap - @danielfarkasdc If you would like to connect with Dr. Farkas, please make sure to mention this podcast.  Here is how to get in touch with him... It's Never Too Late to Become the Desired You29 Apr 202200:53:29
"I used to like make up all these lies in my head and excuses. I was so skinny in high school, I was the cheerleader on the top of the mound and, you know, high school. I'm 53, by the way. High school started getting further and further away. Right. Sports stopped. I was a soccer player, played tennis, and was a cheerleader. I tried every sport. I was active! And then comes the full-time job. So for all the years, I blamed my industry, the food and event planning industry. But, you know, at that time, I also had a lot of death. So I lost a best friend. I lost a father a year apart. It just kept going and going and I blamed it on that. I look back, when I was working, I made the excuse....I'm so busy, I can't eat. But you know what? I didn't realize while I was in the catering companies, that I was doing quality control and eating all day long. Then would sit down and have lunch. Right. So again, my epiphany was emotional, but it was also. Habits went to hell, buh bye. My habits of life changed. But I didn't change my life.  I just kept doing the same things. But not including the exercise. Not including the happiness, I used to have." Please join me in the amazing episode with my dear friend Adrienne. She tells her amazing weight loss story. Listening for the Signs20 Feb 202200:25:54
"The  thing is when something like this happens and you are just put to a screeching halt unexpectedly, there's always gifts inside. I really could have been angry, pointed fingers, and hung on to that negative energy but I chose to see the the upside of it. Where where are the positives here and what are the gifts that are inside of this? And I'm really, really grateful to be able to be in a space in my life to to see things in that perspective."   In this episode I share a very personal story about an injury that had recently occurred, how it woke me up to some things and generated awareness, in addition to all of the gifts that were inside of the unfortunate unexpected event. The Power In Knowing Your Values20 Feb 202200:12:37
"Most people would be like, Oh, you know, I'll just suck it up. It's not that big of a deal, but then they're life is miserable, and then what do they do? They go home and they eat their feelings because they're just so they're so upset and they they feel betrayed. There's no trust. And again, this isn't just about weight loss. The True Root Cause to Feeling Lazy & Procrastination12 Feb 202200:20:09
"I hear the statement often and I want to help to give you some grace. So one of the things as a coach that I really help my clients with is a couple of things is always recalibrating their state of mind, always making sure that they are keeping their language in a place of desire and where they want to go, because the words that we say are very powerful. And one of the statements that I will hear is I am lazy and that shit just makes me cringe. Ok, here's the thing. You're not lazy and no one you really shouldn't say that. Like, it just doesn't sound very good coming out of people's mouths. First of all, but second, it's just recognizing that overwhelm is pretty much the root problem, which creates procrastination. Which then equals feeling lazy to you. Ok, so let me repeat that overwhelm is the true problem. And when you feel overwhelmed, what do you want to do? Oh, oh, forget, I'm just, yeah, I just can't right now. Yeah, I just can't. So then that creates a lack of wanting to do it. So you what? You procrastinate in doing it? But then in your mind, you feel like I am being lazy. So you're not lazy, so honestly, I would truthfully work really hard to divorce that statement from your language." Knowing When to Jump - Making the Important Scary Decisions That Impact Your Life12 Feb 202201:03:06
"I don't think that selling your car was a rash decision I think that was a full on hell yes. And you just knew that there was a big fat, "ah-ha", behind that. That was the vibe that I got from it. When you know you know...I think that we all know that we're meant for something greater. We just don't really tune into that feeling often because we get so stuck in the grind and doing the things that we think that we have to. Justl like you going to to work in the oil camp. The Beliefs That Govern Your Decisions & Where They Came From08 Feb 202200:37:28
"One of the biggest cock blockers, for lack of better words that always gets in your way, makes you feel like you are failing all the time, is your conscious mind. I recognized early in my career, it was super important for me to be very strong, and be a very strong advocate in helping others understand why you do the things you do, why you think the way that you think, why you feel the way you feel, and I feel sharing this information with you will help to give you some grace. This is the reason why I became an NLP coach and LP certified. I'm also a hypnotherapist. Why is that? Well, it's a big, massive, huge, game-changing tool for my clients because dipping into that subconscious mind, which is really your goal-getter, is going to be massively important in the transformation." Taking Action is Better Than Taking No Action...02 Jan 202200:50:17
"So they go from one job to another thinking that it's going to be different this time when in fact, it's the same outcome because their behaviors haven't changed because they haven't recognized that there is an issue within themselves that they need to change. So if you find that you are in this vicious cycle and it's exhausting. Trust me, it is absolutely exhausting to be in this continuous cycle. Then nothing is nothing changes unless something changes. So you're going to just kind of keep repeating that same old pattern and it's, you know, for me, it just became too painful because I had this desire to be somebody different. I had a desire to change. I had a desire to have more structure in my life. I had a desire to be more impactful to others in my life. I had a desire to be more consistent in my life.I had a desire to actually fucking grow. But because I was caught up in those patterns, nothing was going to change. Absolutely nothing was going to change. So what did I have to do? I had to own responsibility for a lot of my thinking thoughts, patterns, actions, and I finally said..."that's got to change."   Join my free Facebook Community: Connect with me: Email: Check out my signature program, The Metabolism Reboot Academy:
How Being Brave, Committed, and Honoring Your Word Will Transform Your Life - Featuring Emilee Roberts11 Nov 202101:01:56
"I had to go into that 30 days knowing this is not going to fix everything this 30 days. It's not this one month of effort. And then I win. I'm there. I hit every goal I've ever set. No, it was this really big thing of like, mentally, I had to just be aware this was this going to have to take more than that and it was going to take breaking bad habits while creating some new ones. And honestly, I think that's probably the hardest thing is I've had a lifetime of habits where I just wasn't even aware of how these food choices could affect me or sleep choices as you mentioned, sleep. I was I had no clue how these things could affect me in my life, internally and externally. Generating Awareness Around Self Sabotage and Embracing Growth Mindset - Featuring Dr. Kasey Jo Orvidas11 Nov 202100:43:21
"I think what's most important, especially to anyone that is listening is to determine how it shows up in your life first. It's an overarching definition, what's most important is to understand, how do you self-sabotage, why do you self-sabotage, what triggers your self-sabotage, when does it show up the most and when does it not show up. Try and take all this data, be a researcher on your own life, take all this data, and determine what does it mean for me. This term gets tossed around all the time. The Psysiological & Psychological Component of Weight Loss03 Jul 202101:04:05
"What I say, one brain, two minds. There's actually I want to talk about three brains, because when I say one brain two minds, I'm talking about this conscious mind and the subconscious mind. I do a lot of subconscious work with my clients. For example, I'm working with somebody to stop smoking. We did some subconscious work there. I'm helping somebody with get off pop, which is another addiction. And that's been tremendous. You know, we just figured out today that she's been drinking for 43 years. And with some subconscious work, we've been able to really, really make significant changes and really do some cool things. So you've got the conscious mind, which is your goal setter, but your subconscious mind is really your goal getter. And the subconscious mind is really where a lot of what you do comes from. And just a fun fact for you. The subconscious mind is only seven years old. So a lot of the beliefs and decisions and things that you that you make were decided as a child, you know, around these impressionable adults and female or female family members and such as you've been around." Priming the Body for Weight Loss03 Jul 202100:57:10
"Most people think that when they decide to lose weight that it's just all about calories in, calories out.....And and a lot of times they get defeated or feel like there's something wrong with them when it isn't working. Just because you consciously say, "Well, I'm going to lose weight, your body and the physiological cellular level is like, yeah, fuck you think again". The reason is, is because it doesn't feel safe. It's not going to release weight if it does not feel safe. And there's just no other way for me to to to describe that. It's just your body needs to not be so fucking stressed. And stress is caused by all kinds of things. And when I say stress, it's not just like work, work, stress. It's like underrating stress, overeating, stress. You know, the relationship stress, the shit you're listening to and watching on TV stress the lack of sleep stress. I mean, the stress, stress, stress, stress. Your Journey and the Evolution of Your Nutrition21 Mar 202101:03:15
"What does being conscious mean exactly? Having that conscious awareness, what what does it mean to you? How can you describe that? How do you define it? I think it's people who are seekers, people who are looking for something more. Because oftentimes people get caught into this like this time restriction. But really, what I mean, I've heard and I'm sure you've probably shared this with me that time really doesn't exist. Right. So, you know, it's like you were just open and you were listening and you were following your gut and you were being guided, as you always have listened to that inner inner voice. It's not like there wasn't a fear or there wasn't like things that went wrong. But like, every time there is something that goes wrong, it just almost like gives me more power because then I'm like, well, that went wrong. And it was like the worst thing that could possibly happen. And I'm still OK and everything's still bad. And it's like life goes on, you know what I'm saying? You can always start again." "The first step to overcoming is acknowledging the pattern and recognizing that this is something that you are willing to overcome and willing to stand up against. We must create these new path ways, new habits, and new patterns that are going to serve you and help sustain you rather than hold you back and keep you stuck. When somebody signs up with me, we are going to change your identity." The Common Misconceptions of Weight Loss10 Feb 202100:38:33
"I think we can never, always prepare, but we can have a playbook for ourselves. And if we can stay pretty close to that playbook, we're going to get to those results. We're going to lose weight. We're going to hold on to that. And I think your life, what you did in the past, you know, not eating or doing the twelve hundred calorie approach, you're doing this like shape thing like what's your relationship with food look like? Right. If you came from a background of dance gymnastics or like, man, you're so fixated on that. OK, I wave my one today and you're a size zero that you wanted to be or you weigh the one twenty. What in your life changes to day? Once we do that, nothing, nothing changes. You fit in those jeans. But guess what? You still got to go to work. You still might have a boss you don't like. You don't say so. So I really think a lot of those things, you know, we have to shift it. It's not if I lose weight, I'll be happy. It's if I'm happy, I'll lose weight. Right, right. Right. Well, I think it's it it is it's that like it's all encompassing. I think health goes into so many different wheels of life, like, are you in a financially good spot? I mean, you've had like some in-depth conversations together on it. And that's such something that we don't we don't work on where we're at. We've lost sight line to it. Right. The emotional health that like, are we fulfilled? Yes. And and I think coaches like what fills our bucket is filling others. But we have to make sure we set those bounds, too, because we'll run ourselves to the ground." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism I have the best conversation with my dear friend Natalie Abrhiem. Natalie is a true light and is such a massive inspiration and amazing coach to so many. She knows her shit, when it comes to transforming your body and your life. She is also an IFBB Pro. She is making a massive impact in this world and I am so blessed and honored to call her my friend.   She and I have had many many amazing conversations, but this one was extra special because it was recorded just for you! The episode will be released tomorrow and I cannot wait for you to hear it. We talk all the things when it comes to weight loss and the MANY MISCONCEPTIONS and things often over looked when it comes to reaching your goals.   In addition, I share some vulnerable moments and how she was able to help see me through...because Natalie was my trainer for quite some time during a difficult period of my life Join Kelly’s free Facebook Community: Connect with Kelly: Email: Check out my Metabolism Reboot Academy: Connect with Natalie: Email: Instagram: @natalieabrhiemifbb
Your Brain and Reaching your Goals10 Feb 202100:18:40
"If you are someone who always feels like you “fail” at the things you set out to do, you must read on because …you are not a failure..here’s why. There is something in our brain that is called the RAS. The Reticular Activating System. The RAS is a bundle of nerves at our brainstem that filters out unnecessary information so the important stuff gets through. For example, the RAS is the reason you learn a new word and then start hearing it everywhere.... In the same way, the RAS seeks information that “validates” your beliefs even those that aren’t serving us and we want to rid of. Your brain always wants to be “right” which is why you will always have this internal struggle. You know when you hear your inner voice say “well maybe it’s not that bad after all”... your brain is trying to convince you to “just stay where you are..it’s easier” ... In addition to that we could also go down the ego rabbit hole as well. The ego is very “fear based” - doesn’t like “change” so therefore taking the leap of faith to change often never happens because your beliefs are also being validated by your RAS." In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism I share something about your brain that you may have never heard of...The Reticular Activating System. During this episode I share how your brain is sometimes (unknowingly) working against you and your goals. The great news is, you have the ability to change that!
