Whose Business are You Building Anyways?07 Oct 202600:27:44

Most of us built our first massage business when we knew the least about running one.

We looked around, figured out what everyone else was charging, working, offering and doing—and we started there. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. The problem comes years later when we're still making decisions from that original version of the business, even though we aren't the same therapist or business owner anymore.

In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when the decisions that helped you get started eventually become the decisions holding you back, why fear can keep you protecting a business you've already outgrown, and the lesson I learned after working myself completely out of massage the first time.

Your business has been giving you information for years. The question is whether you're using it.

And maybe the most important question of all:

If you were building your business today, knowing everything you know now, would you build it the same way?

Manifesting Appointments with a Sharpie29 Sep 202600:28:33

What if manifesting a full massage schedule had less to do with hoping more clients showed up and more to do with knowing exactly what you were trying to fill?

When I first started my massage practice, I used a paper planner and a Sharpie to mark every appointment I wanted filled. I did not realize it at the time, but that simple habit changed the way I looked at my business. Instead of staring at a blank calendar and wondering where all the clients were going to come from, I had individual appointments I could actually work toward.

In this Amy’s Corner episode, I’m talking about what that little Sharpie habit eventually taught me about managing a schedule, keeping a cancellation list and an invitation list, staying proactive even after your practice gets busy, and the difference between putting marketing out into the world and actually working your business.

If your schedule feels lighter than you want it to be, this may change the way you look at those empty spaces.

Free Referral Resource: 3 Things Your Referral System Needs

If you want to go deeper, my 1 CE Referrals class teaches the full referral system I use to help massage therapists create referrals intentionally instead of simply hoping they happen.

What Actually Works in Massage Therapy Marketing? with Paige Rowberry22 Sep 202600:38:07

Are you marketing your massage business — or are you simply doing more marketing activities?

There is a difference.

For Episode 41, I'm bringing back my friend Paige Rowberry. Paige works professionally in marketing, she's also a massage therapist, and she was one of the people who pushed me to finally start this podcast almost two years ago.

What makes her perspective so interesting is that although Paige understands ads, social media, Reels, email lists, funnels, metrics, and modern marketing, she didn't use most of those things to build her massage clientele.

She built her practice through word of mouth.

In this conversation, we talk about what your brand actually is when you're a massage therapist, why your client experience becomes part of your marketing, the difference between creating awareness and actually creating appointments, and why getting out from behind your phone and meeting real people still matters in a hands-on profession.

We also talk about follow-up — because sometimes someone has already told you they want what you offer. The next step isn't another Instagram post. The next step may simply be inviting them to schedule.

If you're staring at openings in your calendar and wondering which marketing strategy you're supposed to try next, start here.

Have You Reached Your Limit—or Just the Limit of What You Know?15 Sep 202600:19:07

Maybe I should just get a job.

It's a thought that runs through the minds of a lot of self-employed massage therapists—but what are you actually looking for when you think about leaving?

More security? A predictable paycheck? Retirement? Time off? A way to earn more without asking your body to do more?

In Episode #40, Amy looks at what happens when a massage therapist becomes successful enough to fill the schedule but doesn't know what comes next.

Through real coaching examples and her own experience, Amy explores how to read the behavior of your business instead of simply copying somebody else's tactic, why raising prices doesn't work just because you want more money, and how to intentionally increase the value of what you offer.

She also shares why she once left self-employment for the security of a paycheck—only to discover that she could replace that income through massage in a fraction of the time.

This episode is also about something massage therapists don't always give themselves permission to recognize: the value that has accumulated in your hands through years of practice, experience, mistakes, learning, and caring for people.

You have agency over your own value.

And you may not have reached the limit of massage at all.

You may have simply reached the limit of what you currently know how to build.

PPS Episode 3: Mapping — How Do You Know Your Massage Worked?08 Sep 202600:54:28

If you work with clients who come to you because they're in pain, how do you really know whether the massage you just gave worked?

A client can get off your table and tell you they feel better. Your hands may tell you the tissue changed. Their range of motion may improve. But what actually happened to the pain they came in with—and did that change last?

In this PPS episode, Amy shares the process that eventually led her to start mapping pain before and after massage. What began as a simple way to measure change became one of the tools that helped her see repeating pain relationships, develop her four-point pain marker, explore scar tissue and bilateral assessment, and eventually build Pain Patterns & Solutions.

You'll also hear why Amy says pain is information, not an invitation, how she began using pain as a clue rather than automatically treating where someone hurt, and why mapping can be useful no matter what type of pain-management bodywork you practice.

You do not need to know PPS to start using this.

Amy is making the pain map she uses available as a free download, along with simple directions and examples so you can begin experimenting with mapping in your own treatment room.

What Kind of Massage Therapist Do You Want to Become?01 Sep 202600:41:22

Professional growth in massage therapy doesn't always mean climbing higher, collecting another certification, adding more clients, or working more hours. Sometimes growth means going deeper—becoming more intentional about your skills, your professionalism, the experience you create for your clients, and the value of every hour you choose to work.

In this episode, Amy explores what happens after your schedule is full and your business is doing “fine,” but you know there could be more. She talks about the fear that can keep therapists from making changes, the many different directions a massage career can grow, and why raising your professional standards can ultimately change both the client experience and your income.

You'll also hear a practical example of what “work smarter, not harder” can actually mean for a massage therapist—including how increasing the value of the hours you're already working could create significantly more annual income without adding more massages to your schedule.

If you know you want something to change but aren't quite sure what needs to change, this episode will help you start looking at your business differently.

Sometimes the Best Move Is to Pivot25 Aug 202600:28:48

What if the problem isn't that you need to work harder—but that the business you've built no longer works for you?

In the very first Amy's Corner, Amy shares a small change she recently made in her own business: moving the Massage. Business. Success. podcast from Monday to Tuesday. What sounds like a simple scheduling decision revealed a much bigger lesson about business ownership.

Sometimes we create a plan based on how we think things will work, only to discover something different once we're actually living inside it. The same thing happens in massage businesses. We build schedules, set hours, take clients, establish prices and create routines—often before we really understand what will work for our bodies, our income needs and our lives.

In this episode, Amy talks about recognizing the difference between something that's simply difficult and a pattern that's repeatedly telling you something needs to change.

You'll explore how to recognize when your schedule may be working against you, why being busier isn't always the answer to earning more, how to separate your actual goal from the method you've been using to reach it, and why your massage business should support your life—not require you to continually recover from it.

Sometimes you don't need more discipline, more clients or more hours.

Sometimes you need to understand your business well enough to make a different decision.

Ready to take a closer look at your own business?
Maximize Your Massage Business helps massage therapists understand their numbers, evaluate their schedule and discover ways to increase income without simply adding more clients and hours.

PPS Episode 2: The Forces Behind Pain20 Aug 202601:06:24
PPS Episode 2: The Forces Behind Pain

Why can a muscle feel incredibly tight when it is actually being held in a lengthened position? Why can working somewhere far away from the painful area sometimes change the pain almost immediately? And why does tissue we work over and over sometimes seem to come right back?

Those were some of the questions that led me toward Pain Patterns & Solutions Bodywork.

In this second PPS episode, I'm taking you deeper into the principles that changed the way I began thinking about pain, inflammation, scar tissue, and eventually force within the body.

We start with something almost every massage therapist has encountered: that stubborn, painful spot in the rhomboids. I'll walk you through why “tight” doesn't necessarily mean “short,” and I'll tell you about the client who unexpectedly showed me a relationship between her painful rhomboid and scar tissue along her IT band.

That discovery created more questions than answers.

Why did working the IT band change the rhomboid? Why did the scar tissue eventually return? Why did the IT band stop responding after several treatments? And what was the body trying to maintain that I hadn't understood yet?

Those questions eventually led me toward the idea of paired scar-tissue relationships, the order in which those relationships develop, and some surprisingly simple physics principles that helped me begin understanding what I had already been observing in my clients.

We'll also begin exploring one of the larger ideas behind PPS: pain doesn't necessarily tell me where to work. Pain gives me a clue about where to start looking.

This episode lays another piece of the PPS foundation and introduces concepts we'll continue developing next month when we explore direction, reversals, transfers, and what happens when the body's efficient suspension against gravity begins shifting toward compression.

If PPS is new to you, I recommend beginning with PPS Episode 1: Learning to See the Body Differently, because these episodes are intentionally building on one another.

You Are the CEO of Your Massage Business04 Aug 202600:42:24

Most massage therapists don't struggle because they aren't talented.

They struggle because no one ever taught them how to think like the owner of a business.

In this episode, Amy explores one of the biggest mindset shifts every massage therapist must make: the difference between working in your business and leading your business.

You'll learn why so many therapists unknowingly become employees inside businesses they own, how to recognize the habits that keep you stuck, and what it really means to wear the CEO hat.

Inside this episode you'll discover:

• Why ownership feels heavy—and why that's normal

• The four employee habits that quietly limit business growth

• Why working harder isn't the same as building a better business

• How one weekly CEO Hour can completely change your direction

• Why systems reduce stress and create momentum

• The difference between your professional identity and your personal identity

If you've ever felt overwhelmed, disorganized, or wondered why your business isn't moving forward despite working incredibly hard, this episode is for you.

Because you're already the CEO.

The only question is whether you've been wearing the hat.

The Map I Wish I'd Had: The Story Behind The Massage Business Method28 Jul 202600:42:42

How does a massage therapist become a business coach... without ever planning to?

In this personal episode, Amy shares the story behind her journey—from teaching continuing education classes, to coaching massage therapists around the world, to discovering something much bigger than she ever expected.

What started as individual conversations about referrals, pricing, schedules, repeat clientele, and business systems slowly revealed a pattern. Over time, Amy realized successful massage businesses don't grow randomly—they grow by solving the right problems at the right time.

This episode is the origin story of The Massage Business Method—the framework that has quietly been developing over thirty years of practice, teaching, coaching, and now podcasting.

If you've ever wondered:

  • Why building a massage business feels so overwhelming...
  • Why business advice sometimes doesn't seem to fit...
  • Or how to build a business that supports your life instead of consuming it...

This episode is for you.

You'll also hear why Amy completely rebuilt her Maximize Your Massage Business class from the ground up—and why she now calls it "the map I wish someone had handed me when I graduated massage school."

In this episode you'll learn:

  • How coaching changed the way Amy thinks about business
  • Why every massage business grows through predictable stages
  • The connection between pricing, referrals, retention, scheduling, and systems
  • How The Massage Business Method was discovered
  • Why your business should support your life—not the other way around.

Why Success Requires a Different Way of Thinking With Shelle Hagan21 Jul 202601:16:20

Graduating from massage school is exciting—but for many therapists, it's also where the biggest surprises begin.

In this conversation, Amy Bradley Radford sits down with educator, school owner, business owner, and industry leader Shelle Hagen to explore what really happens after graduation and why technical skill alone isn't enough to build a thriving massage career.

Together they discuss the gap between expectations and reality, why so many therapists struggle to build momentum, how confidence affects business success, and why changing your thinking is often the first step toward changing your results.

PPS Episode 1: Learning to See the Body Differently13 Jul 202600:50:08

For years, people have asked me one question: "Amy, what exactly is Pain Patterns & Solutions?"

I finally realized I couldn't answer that by teaching techniques. Before I could explain what PPS is, I needed to explain why it exists.

In this first episode of a new monthly PPS series, I'm taking you back to the beginning of my journey—back to the questions that changed the way I see the body, the clients who challenged everything I thought I knew, and the observations that eventually became Pain Patterns & Solutions.

This isn't a lesson in scar tissue or mapping. It's an invitation to begin seeing the body differently.

If you've ever wondered why pain keeps returning, why some clients respond beautifully while others don't, or why your hands sometimes tell you something your education can't quite explain, this conversation is for you.

My hope isn't that you leave understanding PPS.

My hope is that you leave asking better questions.

In this episode you'll learn:

  • Why I waited more than 30 years to tell my story
  • The two experiences that forever changed how I observe the body
  • Why curiosity became the foundation of PPS
  • The biggest difference between traditional massage and PPS
  • Why recurring pain led me to ask different questions
  • How one client completely changed the direction of my career

Every Stage of Your Career Asks You to Think Differently07 Jul 202600:51:17

When we graduate from massage school, we expect our career to grow as our skills improve. But what many of us discover is that every stage of our career asks something different of us.

It's about continuing to grow into the professional you're meant to become.

Whether you work in a spa, a medical practice, a private office, or you're just beginning your career, I hope this conversation encourages you to stop seeing confusion as failure and begin seeing it as an invitation to think differently.

In this episode you'll learn:

• Why every stage of your career requires a different way of thinking

• The difference between learning techniques and becoming a professional

• How curiosity can become one of your greatest career assets

• Why burnout and outgrowing your current career aren't always the same thing

The Career Lesson Massage School Didn't Teach Me29 Jun 202600:37:19

When I graduated from massage school, I believed becoming a better therapist meant learning more techniques.

For years I chased continuing education, certifications, and better answers—hoping the next class would finally give me the confidence I was looking for.

But somewhere along the way, I realized the biggest lesson of my career wasn't another technique.

It was learning how to think differently.

In this deeply personal episode, I share the experiences that shaped my career, from recovering after a serious car accident to treating clients inside a physical therapy clinic, owning massage schools, developing Pain Patterns & Solutions, coaching massage therapists, and discovering what it really means to care professionally without carrying the weight of every client home with you.

This episode also marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Massage Business Success Podcast as we move to a weekly format. Over the next year, I'll be sharing the lessons I've learned over more than thirty years in this profession to help bridge the gap between graduating from massage school and becoming the therapist you dreamed of becoming.

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • Why more certifications don't automatically create confidence.
  • The invisible challenge every massage therapist faces after graduation.
  • How learning to think differently changed my career.
  • The difference between professional boundaries and professional caring.
  • Why confidence comes from experience—not collecting techniques.
  • The question that changed the way I approach business, pain management, and teaching.
  • Why this podcast exists and what you can expect over the next year.

Reflection Question:

What am I trying to solve with another class that might actually require a different way of thinking?

The Secret Behind a Full Massage Schedule23 Jun 202600:54:07

Most massage therapists think a full schedule comes from better marketing, more social media, learning another technique, or somehow working harder than everyone else.

But after more than 30 years as a massage therapist, educator, business coach, and practice owner, I've discovered something very different.

The therapists who stay busy year after year aren't necessarily the most talented, the most experienced, or the most visible online. They simply understand a business principle that most massage therapists were never taught.

In this episode, I pull back the curtain on the three business systems that quietly drive every successful massage practice and explain why so many therapists feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what to do next.

We'll explore:

  • Why massage therapy is actually one of the simplest businesses to build once you understand the moving parts
  • The three cycles every successful massage business depends on: referrals, repeat clientele, and revenue
  • Why business growth often feels emotional and unpredictable
  • The hidden difference between getting clients and keeping clients
  • Why some therapists stay consistently busy for decades while others continually struggle to fill their schedules
  • The mindset shift that can help you stop guessing and start growing with confidence

Whether you're trying to attract more clients, improve retention, raise your prices, or simply create a business that feels more stable and sustainable, this episode will help you see your practice through a completely different lens.

Because the secret to a full schedule isn't working harder.

It's understanding the systems that make growth happen.

Stop Guessing, Start Assessing: A Conversation with Tom Swales03 Jun 202600:53:54

As therapists, many of us spend years collecting techniques, certifications, and treatment approaches, hoping the next tool will finally provide the answers we're looking for.

In this episode, I sit down with physiotherapist, strength coach, and founder of the Advanced Movement Therapist (AMT) Certification, Tom Swales, for a fascinating conversation about assessment, critical thinking, recovery, and what it really takes to create meaningful change for our clients.

Tom shares his incredible journey of surviving a life-threatening battle with sepsis, how that experience transformed his perspective on health and resilience, and why he believes clinicians need to stop chasing pain and start understanding the bigger picture.

What I loved about this conversation is that we explore many of the same questions therapists ask every day: How do we know our treatment is working? Why do some clients improve quickly while others stay stuck? How do we move beyond symptom chasing and create lasting results?

Whether you're a massage therapist, manual therapist, or healthcare professional, this episode will challenge you to think differently about pain, assessment, and the role we play in helping people heal.

In This Episode We Discuss:

  • Why treating the painful area isn't always treating the problem
  • The difference between guessing and assessing
  • Tom's remarkable recovery after surviving sepsis and organ failure
  • Why movement testing can reveal what pain alone cannot
  • How communication, trust, and hope influence recovery
  • The connection between psychology, neurology, biology, chemistry, and physics
  • Why clients need measurable proof that change is happening
  • How clinicians can develop a framework that creates more confidence and better outcomes

The Financial Side of Massage Therapy No One Teaches You with Guest Danielle Hayden12 May 202600:42:40

Most massage therapists are tracking their schedule, their clients, and how exhausted they feel at the end of the week… but not their numbers. And if you’re trying to build a business that actually supports you long term, eventually you have to stop guessing financially.

In this episode, I sit down with Danielle Hayden, founder of Kickstart Accounting, to talk about the emotional side of money, why so many therapists avoid their numbers, and how understanding your finances can completely change the way you run your business.

This conversation goes far beyond bookkeeping. We talk about burnout, money mindset, paying yourself consistently, separating personal and business expenses, building a support team, and why your numbers are actually one of the most powerful tools you have as a business owner.

Danielle shares practical guidance on:

  • What a financially healthy massage business actually looks like
  • Whether a six-figure income is realistic for solo therapists
  • Why avoiding your numbers creates more burnout
  • The importance of paying yourself as a business owner
  • When to consider becoming an S-Corp
  • How to stop making emotional business decisions
  • Why the goal is actually to pay taxes
  • The four people every business owner should have on their “money team.

One of my favorite parts of this conversation is how grounded and human it is. There’s no shame here, no pressure to “have it all figured out.” Just honest conversation about learning how to build a business that truly supports your life.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the financial side of your business, this episode will help you look at your numbers in a completely different way.

Stop Guessing Your Taxes28 Apr 202600:48:46

Most massage therapists don’t have a tax problem… they have a system problem.

In this episode, Amy Bradley Radford breaks down why tax season feels so overwhelming—and why it has very little to do with taxes themselves. If you’ve ever found yourself scrambling in March, missing deductions, unsure where your money went, or feeling like your business isn’t actually supporting you the way it should, this conversation will shift how you see everything.

This isn’t about complicated accounting or learning tax forms. It’s about understanding how your daily habits, your spending patterns, and your money flow inside your business are either working for you… or quietly working against you.

Amy walks through the foundational systems that make your business easier to track, how and when money actually becomes taxable, and why waiting until April takes away your ability to make real financial decisions. She also dives into overlooked areas like cash tracking and mileage, and how small shifts in behavior can significantly change your financial clarity and outcomes.

This episode is about learning how to see your business clearly—so you can make decisions earlier, reduce stress, and start building a business that actually supports your life long-term.

Managing Your Schedule Like the Professional You Are21 Mar 202600:58:38

If you are a massage therapist struggling with schedule management, client communication, or keeping your calendar full, this episode will help you understand what’s really happening behind the scenes.

In this episode of the Massage Business Success Podcast, Amy breaks down one of the most overlooked skills in running a successful massage practice: managing your schedule as a professional service provider.

After a frustrating personal experience trying to find a hairstylist who wouldn’t return calls or texts, Amy connects this common issue directly to what many clients experience when trying to book with massage therapists.

This episode dives into why massage therapists often struggle with returning calls, responding to text messages, and managing appointment requests—especially as their schedule becomes full and burnout begins to set in.

You’ll learn how poor communication can quietly lead to lost clients, reduced client retention, and inconsistent income—and what to do instead.

Amy also explains how online booking systems work well when you are building your massage business, but can potentially begin to lose effectiveness as your client base grows and your schedule becomes more relationship-driven.

This episode will help you:

  • Improve client communication and response time
  • Build professional scheduling habits that increase client trust
  • Prevent schedule management burnout
  • Understand when to use (and when to limit) online booking software
  • Learn how to “work your schedule” to fill cancellations and increase income
  • Create a schedule that supports your energy, longevity, and work-life balance

If you want to grow a stable massage therapy business, improve client retention, and maintain consistent cash flow, learning how to manage your schedule effectively is essential.

Designing a Massage Menu That Actually Builds Your Business13 Feb 202600:54:36

Most massage therapists have a menu. Very few are actually using it to build their business.

In this episode, I’m breaking down one of the most overlooked business tools in the massage industry: your menu. Not as a laminated sheet of services. Not as a list of everything you’ve ever learned. But as a system that quietly trains your clients how to spend money with you.

If you’ve been stuck at $65, $75, or $85 per session…
If you’ve added cupping, hot stones, aromatherapy, stretching, and still feel capped…
If your menu has 17 options and you secretly know people only book two of them…

This episode is for you!

We talk about:

  • Why listing more services doesn’t increase income
  • How your menu trains clients (whether you realize it or not)
  • The psychology of buyer behavior in massage
  • Why add-ons rarely change spending patterns
  • The “Power of the Hour” concept
  • Real coaching case studies (yes, including crossing the $100 line)
  • Why refining your menu can feel scary — but necessary
  • How to design experiences instead of selling techniques
  • And how I accidentally turned aromatherapy into a structured system

Your menu is either working for you… or quietly working against you.

Let’s fix it.

The Year You Stop Playing Small in Your Massage Business14 Jan 202600:48:56

This episode is about the year you stop playing small in your massage business — not by working harder or adding more to your plate, but by changing how you think about growth.

So many massage therapists don’t actually have a business problem. They’re skilled, dedicated, and deeply committed to their clients. What tends to hold people back over time isn’t a lack of effort — it’s the set of assumptions we absorbed early in our careers about what’s possible, sustainable, or “just how massage works.”

In this episode, I walk you through why those assumptions quietly become invisible limits — and how updating your mental framework can immediately change how your business feels and functions.

We talk about:

  • Why growth doesn’t have to mean more hours, more clients, or more strain on your body
  • How the “box” most therapists operate inside gets formed — and why it’s so hard to see
  • The difference between overthinking and true discernment
  • Why clarity usually comes after action, not before
  • How small, thoughtful experiments can create momentum without burnout

This is not an episode about fixing yourself or blowing up your business. It’s about learning how to think differently so your business can evolve naturally — in a way that supports your energy, your values, and the work you want to keep doing long-term.

If you’ve felt a quiet sense that you’ve outgrown something — but aren’t sure what comes next — this conversation is for you.

Protecting Your Hands, Your Energy, and Your Career with Lauriann Greene02 Jan 202600:51:16

As we step into a new year, I wanted to begin with a conversation that feels grounding, honest, and deeply supportive of the long road we walk as massage therapists.

In this episode of the Massage Business Success Podcast, I sit down with Lauriann Greene — author of Save Your Hands and one of the earliest voices in our profession speaking openly about injury prevention, awareness, and career longevity.

I first discovered Lauriann’s work early in my own career, when my body was already sending warning signs. Decades later, her message feels even more relevant.

Together, we talk about:

  • Why injury isn’t inevitable — but awareness is essential

  • How subtle habits at the table quietly shape your future

  • The emotional and mental patterns that lead therapists toward burnout and pain

  • Why ergonomics alone isn’t enough

  • And how small, compassionate shifts can extend both your career and your energy

Lauriann also shares what’s new in the newly released 3rd edition of Save Your Hands, including expanded insights on mindfulness, breath, emotional tension, and daily rituals that help therapists stay present — not depleted.

If you’re entering this year asking yourself how to protect your body, your hands, and the work you love, this conversation is for you.

Trust, Team Culture, and Taking a Vacation: Behind the Scenes with Clinic Owner Krista Dicks01 Dec 202500:58:56

What started as a conversation about “when your business becomes the boss” quickly turned into one of the most honest and empowering deep dives into clinic ownership I’ve had on the show.

In this episode, I talk with Krista Dicks, RMT — host of The Radical Massage Therapist podcast and clinic owner with Align Massage Therapy. Krista brings 19 years of hands-on experience and 3 years of clinic ownership wisdom. She opens up about her journey into leadership, the mentorship that shaped her, and how she’s built a successful clinic while still protecting her boundaries, her energy, and her life outside the treatment room.

We talk about:

  • The moment she realized her business was running her
  • How to stop people-pleasing your team
  • Why boundaries make you a better clinic owner
  • Why hiring on “good human” vs. “perfect fit” is overrated
  • Navigating entitlement in today’s massage therapy market
  • The importance of extreme ownership (and why it changes everything)
  • How to build trust so your team actually runs the clinic smoothly
  • The importance of systems — even down to the thermostat
  • Why a successful clinic should be able to run without you
  • And how you can build a business model that supports your life — not the other way around

If you’re a massage therapist thinking about hiring, renting rooms, growing a team, or stepping into ownership… or if you already own a clinic and want it to feel lighter, simpler, and more aligned — this conversation will feel like a breath of fresh air.

Holding Space for Others Without Losing Yourself07 Nov 202500:48:13

In this deeply personal and professional episode, Amy Bradley Radford opens up about her most difficult season — walking through cancer diagnoses, loss, and caregiving across her family — and how those experiences reshaped her understanding of Neutral Space, compassion, and healing.

With honesty, humor, and heart, she offers a map for staying steady in the storm — whether that storm is at the massage table or in your own life.

You’ll learn:

  • What compassion fatigue looks and feels like for bodyworkers.

  • How Neutral Space protects your energy and your clients’ healing.

  • The seven elements of holding space without over-giving.

How to Build Your Massage Clientele in 90 Days18 Aug 202500:50:59

In this episode of Massage. Business. Success., Amy shares the personal story that inspired her proven 90-Day Referral System—a strategy she created after relaunching her massage practice and realizing her old clients weren’t returning as easily as she’d hoped. What started as a moment of panic turned into one of the most powerful business lessons of her career.

Amy explains why referrals are the most authentic and effective way to build a massage practice, and she breaks down her 3-Part Referral Strategy: how to inspire clients to refer, how to reward them in a way that motivates, and how to welcome new clients so they immediately feel connected. She also explores the ripple effect of referrals, how to avoid overwhelming your schedule, and why trust and gratitude are the foundation of a thriving practice.

This episode isn’t just about filling appointments—it’s about building a business rooted in connection, integrity, and sustainability. Amy’s approach shows massage therapists how to grow a steady, full schedule in 90 days without relying on expensive ads or gimmicks.
