This beautiful hymn shiva suvarna mala stotra is composed by shree adi shankara bhagavad pada on lord Shiva. The hymn is called Suvarna mala stuti. The hymn of beautiful garland of letters. Suvarna ,also means gold. Acharya shankara makes a garland of beautiful alphabets of Sanskrit and offers that garland to lord Shiva. The hymn has fifty verses each starting with an alphabet of Sanskrit in the alphabetical order. Every line ends with the phrase ‘sāmba sadāśiva śambho śaṅkara śaraṇaṃ me tava caraṇayugam’ meaning O sadāśiva who is always accompanied by all mother, O the birth places of all good and peace, O the doer of good, your holy feet is my resort. The use of all alphabets of Sanskrit makes this hymn powerful and poetic at the same time. Hanuman dvadashanama stotra is a short and powerful, easy to chant hymn of Hanuman comprised of twelve names indicating hanuman's great qualities and his glories. The hymn given in chapter 55 of parāshara Samhitā.

This mantra is taught to sage Maitreya by sage parāshara and he prescribes to chant this hymn after chanting any mantra of Hanuman.

he also gives two other mantras, seven lettered Hanuman mantra and the sixteen lettered Hanuman mantra in the same chapter, which is also given in this book

In a normal chanting ritual procedures of nyaasa (sanctifying the different body parts with mantras), dhyana (visualization and contemplation of the deity’s form) and gestures are not required. this makes the mantra easy to chant for anyone and everyone who is devoted to Hanuman and have trust in him.

in some versions of the hymn the benefits of chanting this hymn of twelve names of Hanuman is given as

"whoever recites these twelve names of the lord of monkeys (kapīndra) the great one, daily (regularly) before going to sleep, and especially during travel, doesn’t have the fear of death and shall become victorious everywhere"

Achyutāshtakam is a simple yet wonderful hymn of eight stanzas  comprising the names of lord Vishnu with main emphasis on his  incarnations Rāma and Krishna.

This easy to sing hymn of  wonderful metre was composed by āchārya Shankara Bhagavadpāda. The names  indicate various divine qualities of lord Vishnu and glorify his great  deeds.

āchārya shankara bhagavadpāda compiles a collection of  names of lord Vishnu containing deep meaning in them and remind us of  the great pastimes of the lord narrated in the purānas. They also remind  us the beauty of his forms and help us visualize and contemplate on  him.

This book is an effort to put light of meaning of each name  from this hymn and also narrate in short the incidents the names  indicate or relate to.

Durga chandrakala stuti is a hymn composed by Appayya deekshita the  great shaiva and scholar of Vedas Puranas and mantra shastras who lived  in Tamil nadu in the fifteenth century (1520–1593 CE)

In this  hymn various glories of the mother goddess durgā from Vedas and various  puranas are summarized. The hymn comprises of eighteen shloka, the first  shloka being the mangalacharana (invocation of the goddess) and the  last shloka the phala shruti (description of benefits which are attained  by the recitation of this hymn.)

So the main hymn is of sixteen  shlokas and hence the name durgā chandrakalā stuti (hymn to durga like  the sixteen states of moon) is given to it by the composer.

This  hymn is considered very powerful by the practitioners of Shakta and  Shaiva tradition – the worship of the mother goddess (the embodiment of  all power) because this hymn is the summary of the great and powerful  text Devi māhāthmyam of Mārkandeya purāna which is of 700 shlokas and  hence also known as durgā saptashatī (seven hundred verses praising  durgā)

In addition to that Appayya Deekshita also summarizes  various glorious incidents about goddess durgā and her manifold forms  from various purānas. Hence reciting this hymn daily is equal to  remembering all the important glorious deeds of the goddess mentioned in  the puranas. The Devi mahatmya and the other anecdotes about the devi  given in Varahapurana, Harivamsa, Bhagavata etc., are given in condensed  form in this work to be precise.

Reciting this hymn with devotion bestows the devotee with protection, wealth, wisdom, courage good fortune and liberation.

The Hymn Runahara Ganapati Stotra is from the great Tantric text Krishna  Yamala tantra.  Runahara means he who destroys debts. Through this hymn  the lord is worshipped as the one who frees us from our debts.

Ganesha  is worshipped as the supreme reality (parabrahman) in this hymn. This  hymn describes how and when different gods and goddesses like brahma,  Vishnu, Rudra, Durga, Surya (the sun god), Chandra the moon god)  worshipped Ganesha for attaining success in their endeavors and obtain  what they wish for.  By this the supremacy of lord ganesha is well  established.

The incidents of various gods and goddesses  worshipping lord ganesha is well described in the Ganesha Upanishad  (Brahma worships lord Ganesha in the beginning of creation) , in the  herambha Upanishad ( Lord shiva describes that he worshipped ganesha to  gain the power to destroy the tripuras), Ganesha purana, Mudgala purana,  vinayaka tantra etc describes various gods worshipping ganesha for  gaining success in their endeavors.

Since every shloka in this  hymn has ‘ṛṇanāśaṃ karotu me’ - May he do the act of destroying the  debts for me. This hymn can be understood as the praise and prayer to  the form ‘ṛṇa mochana Ganapati’, but each verse of the hymn indicates  and represents different forms of Ganapati worshipped by different gods  and goddesses.

Heramba Upanishad is an Upanishad text which establishes that Ganesha is  the supreme absolute god (para brahman) and explains the atma vidya  (wisdom of the nature of real self) through Ganesha.

Goal of any Upanishad is to teach the wisdom of self-realisation through which final liberation (mukti) is experienced.
This Upanishad is a conversation between Shiva and Gauri where Shiva teaches the sacred wisdom upon Gauri’s request.
These  kinds of Upanishads which talk about worshiping certain forms of god as  supreme absolute godhood forms a bridge between upasana (the way of  worshiping a deity) and Vedanta (the realisation of oneness with  absolute god) 

In this text the form of god worshiped as the supreme  reality is Ganesha, specifically, The Herambha – the form of Ganesha who  appeared before lord Shiva and blessed him with the power to conquer  Tripura (three demon cities and destroy them) 

We may see that  particular episode of destroying three cities has a great significance  in Upanishads because those three cities are symbols of three gunas ,  (satva, rajas, tamas) three states of body and mind ( jagrat – awaken,  svapna – dream, and susupti – deep sleep) and hence is deeply connected  or related to the subject of self-realisation, realising the nature of  one’s true self atman  which is beyond this three states.

In avadhoota gita also it is described that “eeshwara anugrahadeva pumsam advaita vasana”
Only  by the grace of supreme god, a soul gets interest in the philosophy of  non-duality that is how we should understand the connection between  worship of supreme god and attaining the wisdom of self-realization.

The experience of the self-realized soul and the benefits of reciting this Upanishad is also described well in this text.
