| ZOOTOPIA2 MAN ON FILM REVIEW🍿 | 06 Dec 2025 | 00:18:12 | |
MAN ON FILM🍿 ZOOTOPIA 2 REVIEW “Zootopia 2: The Movie That Made Me Ask… ‘Wait, Animals Be Dating?’ ” ZOOTOPIA 2 Fresh-out-the-DISNEY-oven, Thanksgiving-weekend heavyweight: - directed by Jared Bush and starring Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, and enough adorable animals to fill Noah’s Ark twice. But listen…Join me as we spotlight Some interesting things. And I came out with questions, not trauma. This episode covers: The new MAN ON FILM grading system (A–F, like school — but funnier) Why Zootopia 2 gets a solid C How Disney somehow made a buddy-cop world feel like an episode of The Bachelor: Animal Kingdom A lamb villain who returns like she’s auditioning for “Thanos: The Musical” A fox and a bunny with chemistry so spicy I had to check if this movie was PG-13 And the moment I realized Disney might just be trolling us in 4K Don’t get me wrong — Mouse House, if you’re listening, I love you.I adore you.I would work for you.I will even wear the Mickey ears in the office orientation video. This is all comedy. I promise.(Put me in Marvel. I’ll behave. Maybe.) FINAL GRADE:Zootopia 2 gets a C = Cute, Colorful, and Could’ve Given Me a Little More Plot, Babe.Three tight, well-manicured SNAPS. If you disagree?Great. Come argue with me.That’s half the fun. Because here on MAN ON FILM, in the great courtroom of popcorn and opinions… I’m the Judge of the Ark.And it’s raining men, baby. | FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’s 2 MAN ON FILM REVIEW 🎬 | 13 Dec 2025 | 00:33:32
Freddy’s back — and baby, he brought a backpack full of stupid deaths and dusty jump scares. This sequel had more dummies than a Maury episode, and half of them walked straight into murder like they were on a Spirit Airlines group trip to Hell. The animatronics are moving like off-brand Transformers, the plot’s wobblier than Kim Cattrall’s accent in Sex and the City 2, and the rules of logic? Thrown in a grease trap behind a haunted Chuck E. Cheese. Mr. Xcellence is unhinged, unfiltered, and ready to call out every plot hole, fake scare, and busted robot like a fashion critic at a spirit Halloween runway show. If you’ve ever screamed “WHY ARE YOU RUNNING TOWARD THE NOISE?!” — this episode is your cinematic church. This sequel? Babyyyy, it’s giving “child endangerment meets Build-A-Bear gone rogue.” Mr. Xcellence breaks down every robotic flop, horror trope, and dusty jump scare with sass, smoke, and savage truth. From plot holes to possessed pizza shops — nobody is safe. | Ella McCay vs MAN ON FILM | 13 Dec 2025 | 00:21:34
Man on Film: Is Ella McCay "As Good As It Gets"? Ella McCay tries to channel that James L. Brooks magic from As Good As It Gets — but baby, this one barely gets past the trailers. Jamie Lee Curtis? (On autopilot). Woody Harrelson? (Playing Cheers reruns). And our lead? Bless her heart — she’s giving us neurodivergent meets political ambition with a side of awkward daddy issues. We wanted Erin Brockovich, but we got lukewarm latte and cozy flute music from 1997. We’re talking messy scandals, anti-climactic arcs, and the same soundtrack you cried to 25 years ago. So the real question is:Is Ella McCay… as good as it gets?Or should we all be sending James L. Brooks an invoice? Two snaps. Salty ones. | HAMNET 🎭 vs MAN ON FILM 🎞️ | 06 Dec 2025 | 00:20:00
HAMNET MAN ON FILM REVIEW It’s RAINING, MAN – and this time we’re in Elizabethan England… kind of. On this episode of MAN ON FILM, I dive into HAMNET – the “historical fiction but don’t quote us” love story inspired by Shakespeare’s real life… maybe. We’re talking Paul Mescal’s rising–star energy fresh off Gladiator II, witchy wives giving forest–witch vibes, sick twins, and a whole lot of “is this supernatural or did y’all just make that up?” I break down: Why I gave HAMNET a solid "B" or "4" sweaty Gladiator snapsThe wild choice to remix Shakespeare’s family life like it’s MCU Phase FourHow grief, work, art, and messy relationships smash into each otherWhy this is a perfect date movie if you want deep convo after… and a terrible choice if you came for swords, blood, and Hamlet himselfNo swoony TikTok fake-deep review here – just me, solo in the theater, telling you what worked, what dragged, and why the supernatural “Death in the corner of the room” stuff had me waiting for Vecna to show up. Tap in, argue with me, and tell me:Is HAMNET genius cinema or beautifully shot fanfic? “Hamlet?”Nah, baby – HAMNET. The fanfic cousin with Paul Mescal in a blouse and everybody catching feelings (and the plague). New MAN ON FILM episode just dropped I’m breaking down: Paul Mescal’s “young Maximus” energyWitch–wife, sick twins & Shakespeare on the grindThat weird supernatural death-in-the-corner moment Why I gave it a "B" or "4" snaps – great date movie, not so great if you came for things blowing up If you want: Big tragic love Forest magic & family drama Shakespeare remixed like prestige fan-fiction …this one’s for you. Listen now on [MAN ON FILM] – available wherever you get your podcasts. Then pull up in the comments and tell me… HAMNET: masterpiece or beautifully lit mess? #ManOnFilm #Hamnet #PaulMescal #ItsRainingMan #FilmTok #MovieReview Welcome to Man on Film, a savage, unfiltered movie review show hosted by artist and cultural commentator Andre Xcellence! Wicked Part Two just dropped early, and Man on Film was in the building. From Ariana Grande’s Glinda glow to Cynthia Erivo’s powerhouse performance — and yes, even Jeff Goldblum’s timeless barnacle-energy — this episode goes deep into Oz… maybe deeper than anyone asked for. From the scarecrow seduction to the munchkin makeover to the biggest continuity questions… we break it all down with jokes, chaos, and love for cinema. Mr. Caravaggio) On this episode of Man on Film, Xcellence! and special guest host Mr. Caravaggio dive into “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t (Part 3)” — the latest entry in the magician-heist franchise. We break down what worked (mainly Rosamund Pike stealing every frame), what didn’t (a messy plot, random magic tricks, and an exhausted cast), and why this sequel feels more like a network series than a cinematic event. | AVATAR3 MAN ON FILM 🎥 REVIEW — BLUE BOOTIES, BAD COLONIZERS & WHERE THE BLACK PEOPLE AT?! | 01 Jan 2026 | 00:28:34
MAN ON FILM: AVATAR 3 REVIEW BLUE BOOTIES, BAD COLONIZERS & WHERE THE BLACK PEOPLE AT?! Avatar 3 is here. The water’s clearer, the skies are bluer, the titties are… still just barely PG-13, and yet — still not a single Black auntie selling herbs by the river. What kind of space sequel is this? In this episode of Man on Film, we dive headfirst into the Na’vi nonsense, the blue-on-blue beef, and a plotline so familiar it might’ve been lifted from an old Power Rangers episode. We’re talking jungle trauma, whale murder for youth serum, and white boys with dreads getting airbending powers — all in one 3-hour movie. James Cameron gave us visuals for days, but couldn’t give us a single fade, taper, or Black cast member with speaking lines? Mmmkay. We rate it 4 animated blue booty snaps out of 5, because despite the spiritual appropriation and racial erasure, that water was giving “premium Fiji.” This is comedy with critique, blockbuster chaos, and a sprinkling of Oh, y’all thought we weren’t gonna say something? Spoilers? Absolutely.Snaps? Blue, shiny, and slightly offended.Rating: B / 4.0Vibe: “National Geographic if Tyler Perry directed it.” …and yet — not a single Black auntie selling herbs by the river, no Dominican uncle on a hover-raft blasting bachata, no Asian scientist side-eyeing the military plan. Welcome back to Man On Film, the sassiest review show under the rainbow —where bad movies get dragged and good ones get snaps. This week? We sat through the fever dream that is GOOD BOY, a horror flick that made us want to call the ASPCA. Twice. Was it a metaphor for death? Mental illness? Or just a hot muddy mess? We break it down scene by confusing scene—from taxidermy wills to animal clairvoyance to actual hell portals in the basement. The only one earning their check? The dog. And he deserves a Netflix deal. _?_ Snap?. _?_ Star?. Epic or Epic Fail Featuring guest reviewer Mr. Carvaccio (begrudgingly), and hosted by the unapologetic, always extra, X. Tune in if you want to laugh, gag, and possibly write a letter to the theater chain for emotional damages. | MARTY SUPREME vs MAN ON FILM REVIEW 🎥 | 15 Jan 2026 | 00:24:52
MAN ON FILM – Marty Supreme (2026) Ping-pong, pettiness, and problematic men – oh my! In this high-stakes, high-anxiety thrill ride of an episode, Xcellence and Mr. Caravaggio dive face-first into the chaotic masterpiece (???) that is Marty Supreme. Is it Oscar bait? Or just bait? We ask the important questions: Is Timothy Shyamalan low-key Killmonger with a paddle? Was that hairline a performance choice? Is Gwyneth Paltrow’s scented candle more iconic than Marty’s entire personality? Who’s baby is it? WHO’S BABY IS IT?! It’s messy, it’s manic, and it moves faster than your auntie’s gossip text chain. And yes, it ends like it fell off a cliff – but was the ride worth it? We’ll tell you. Spoiler alert: he didn’t even win the tournament . Supreme Snap Score: 4 out of 5 Snaps Tone: Uncut Gems meets Call Me By Your Ping Pong Paddle If you don’t listen, your movie taste might be as suspect as Marty’s life choices. #SorryNotSorrySubscribe, rate, and send it to your most chaotic friend — the one who’d definitely fall in love with a scammer . MAN ON FILMGREENLAND 2: MIGRATION MOVIE REVIEW GREENLAND 2: MIGRATIONThe Sequel That Should’ve Stayed Underground 🌍Gerard Butler’s Apocalypse Glow Down — And We’re Gagging (Not in a Good Way) 🚨 Welcome to Man on Film — where the movies get read like scripture and dragged like wigs on a windy runway. This week, we’re cracking open the vault marked “unnecessary sequel” and diving into the post-apocalyptic hot mess that is Greenland 2: Migration — aka Gerard Butler Goes Hiking… to His Death. And yes, we watched it so you don’t have to. You’re welcome. 🧨 What went wrong? Glad you asked: Gerard Butler is soft-launching his hospice era — limping, coughing, dying mid-movie like he’s got a loyalty punch card with Death itself. The plot? A fever dream. AI-generated chaos with ChatGPT’s evil twin on the script. They find France. Yes, France. And somehow walk into it like it’s Costco on a Tuesday. The end of the world is here, but guess what? Everybody still acting soft. The son? NOT giving Hunger Games survival vibes. More like he cried over spilled Soylent. The Black characters? You already know we took bets on who dies first. And don’t get us started on the floating paddle boat and the oars. OARS?? In 2045?? 💅 The Ratings Are In:🌪️ 2.5 Nuclear Snaps(That’s 1 for Gerard’s leftover abs, and 1.5 for the French girl who pulled off a miracle side quest for no reason.) We talk: PLOT HOLES you could drive the actual comet throughPost-apocalypse fashion failsAudis, wine, dementia, and mysterious working electricity (no one knows why, we asked)And why training your kid for doomsday might be your best bet if Earth acts up again🔥 Plus: A word from the prophet — why bad movies still matter, why cinema is spiritual, and why film is forever the tea. So call the Garritys, call the Adjustment Bureau, and definitely call Gerard Butler’s agent — because this franchise needs a mercy kill. 🗣️ MAN ON FILM: Where the only fallout is the shade we throw. 🎧 Subscribe. | THE BRIDE vs MAN ON FILM | 06 Mar 2026 | 00:21:08
NEW EPISODE DROP – MAN ON FILM THE BRIDE vs MAN ON FILM Andre Xcellence! and Mr. Caravaggio step into Maggie Gyllenhaal’s bold new monster reimagining THE BRIDE — starring Christian Bale, Jesse Buckley, Penélope Cruz, and a whole lot of gothic chaos. Is this a horror movie? A gangster movie? A supernatural mystery? A feminist monster epic? Honestly… it’s a little bit of all of the above. Andre was all in on this one — calling Jesse Buckley’s performance as the Bride electric, scene-stealing, and powerful enough to nearly go toe-to-toe with Christian Bale himself. Meanwhile Mr. Caravaggio isn’t completely convinced… which leads to one of the most entertaining debates we’ve had on the show in a while. Along the way we break down: Christian Bale’s haunting Frankenstein Jesse Buckley absolutely taking over the movie Maggie Gyllenhaal proving she’s a serious director That bizarre ballroom dance scene that had the whole theater confused The supernatural hints that might be setting up a bigger universe Andre even drops the big question: “Is this the beginning of a new monster franchise… or just a beautifully weird one-off?” Either way, the theaters were packed, and the fellas have plenty to say about it. | Alexander Skarsgård & A23's "PILLION" MOVIE vs MAN ON FILM | 05 Mar 2026 | 00:31:27
NEW EPISODE DROP – MAN ON FILM Alexander Skarsgård walks in wearing leather, no pants, and a whole lot of attitude in PILLION — and Mr. Xcellence! and Mr. Caravaggio have QUESTIONS. Is this a daring indie romance? A kinky biker fever dream? Or just the wildest power-dynamic love story we’ve seen since Brokeback Mountain? This week the fellas break down the buzzworthy queer drama starring Skarsgård and Harry Melling — complete with leather bars, awkward romance, domination, humiliation, and one scene that had the whole theater clutching their pearls. Along the way Andre Xcellence! asks the real question: “Is this Beauty and the Beast… or Beauty and the Booty?” We debate whether Skarsgård just delivered one of the boldest performances of his career, why the movie is surprisingly funny, and whether the film goes a little TOO far for casual audiences. And yes… we had to introduce a new rating system. Overall Score: 75% Breed Movie Rating: ½ (4.5 out of 5) Translation:Not exactly a breeder movie (that’s for straight date night)… …but in the Breed Movie Hall of Fame? This one earns serious leather-jacket respect. | SCREAM 7 vs MAN ON FILM : We didn’t watch Scream… We "SCREAMED" at it. ☠️ | 02 Mar 2026 | 00:16:40
MAN ON FILM vs SCREAM 7 Yeah, I screamed. At the screen. At the script. At Ghostface. At the studio executives. At Gail Weathers’ lighting team. Let’s begin. The Premise (And The Problem) They brought somebody back. And then didn’t bring them back. And then kind of brought them back. You know what? If you know, you know. That’s enough. But here’s the thing — if you’re gonna resurrect chaos, you better commit.Give it a three-picture deal. and the classic members of the cast.....Bored. Including Nev Campbell. And don’t get me started on Gail. Gail Weathers (Or Her Weathered Clone) I kept asking in the theater: “Who is that?” They kept saying: “That’s Gail.” I said: “No it’s not.” Respectfully… Now let’s discuss the real horror. Sidney Prescott survived SIX movies. SIX. and Her daughter had zero survival instincts. No Rambette energy. No “my mom survived 60 stabbings so I trained in Muay Thai at 7” vibes. Nothing. We was in the theater yelling:“Hit center mass! TWO shots! CLACK-CLACK!” Nope. Angst. Confusion. Bad decisions. Logic? Never Met Her. The town shuts down. There’s an active killer. And the main character says: “You know what we should do?Hang out. Together. In public.” That’s not bravery. That’s accessory charges. What Actually Worked Credit where credit is due: The beer tap kill? Final Score We’re giving it: 65%That’s:“I had fun.....yelling.”“I was mad....but entertained.”“Stop making these for us to see unless you want am equally insanely DEFT & ASTUTE & ACCURATE REVIEW.” Final Thoughts from Tha Man If you do Scream 8: Kill Gail early.Train BABY PRESCOTT.Commit to ScarFACE as a real menace.Or rename it STAB and reboot the madness! Because at this point? I didn’t watch Scream. I screamed at Scream. | "THIS IS NOT A TEST" MAN ON FILM MOVIE REVIEW | 02 Mar 2026 | 00:32:19
MAN ON FILM!!!! Episode: “This Is Not a Test” Tagline: Teen angst meets undead panic… and we have QUESTIONS. Welcome back to MAN ON FILM! — the only review show brave enough to ask the real horror question:“Why are y’all always doing dumb shit on Day 1?” This week, Mr Xcellence is joined by special guest star Mr. Caravaggio as we dig into This Is Not a Test — a zombie apocalypse flick that tries to be CW romance, end-of-the-world survival, and social commentary… all while the characters repeatedly audition for the role of “First to Die.” Zombie Taxonomy Check We go deep on what kind of zombie movie this thinks it is: Viral zombies vs. demonic/spiritual zombies“Rules of infection” logicWhy The Last of Us gets its own category (spores ≠ bites)And why the best zombie stories aren’t about zombies at all… Because the real obsession is:What happens when the rule of law collapses and humans become the apex predator again. Despite the holes, there is something here: Atmosphere Tension A few genuinely creepy moments Cast chemistry that suggests sequel potential A core idea that could evolve into something stronger And the film doesn’t have the “15 seasons of baggage” problem that some zombie franchises drag behind them like a corpse in flip-flops. Final Verdict RATING: 3 / 6 Zombie Snaps (That’s “watchable with complaints,” a.k.a. “I’m mad but I’ll still talk about it for 20 minutes.”) If you like zombie movies and can tolerate teen-drama logic, you’ll have fun — but if you’re the type who needs rules, realism, and smart survival behavior… you’re gonna be yelling at the screen like we were. Because remember:In the apocalypse, natural selection is undefeated. MANN ON FILM!!!! — because it’s always raining Man Think Ebert meets Ballroom. Spike meets Joan Rivers. ️ Movie reviews. Episode Title: Wuthering Fights aka Mr. Euphoria rides again… and chaos follows. Welcome to Man on Film, the only review show where truth meets torchlight. Your host Xcellence gets all up in on the latest fever dream: “Wuthering Heights” (2026). From people falling asleep in the theater to a soundtrack that felt like “Boom Boom Boom” meets off-brand Shakespeare, this one brought out all the feelings. And by feelings, we mean rage, confusion, and one wild audience full of hot takes and secret society codes. Is this a modern gothic love story or the first officially certified Furry Period Piece? You decide. But one thing’s for sure: the drama on-screen wasn’t nearly as juicy as the commentary off-screen. Cue the rating: F for “Foolish.” But also… Fabulous? “Iron Lung: Lo-Fi Horror, High-Stakes Bloodbath”Blood Oceans, Submarine Screams & Gamer Dreams SummaryIn this deep dive (pun intended), we surface after watching Iron Lung—the claustrophobic horror flick adapted from the cult indie game. Directed by YouTube OG Mark Fischbach (Markiplier), this post-apocalyptic tale tosses a convicted felon into a rusty-ass submarine and submerges him in a literal sea of blood. We break down how Iron Lung punches above its $3M budget weight class, debate the logic of lunar blood oceans, and ask the big question: why isn’t Method Man in this?! The lo-fi tension hits, the visuals grind, and the horror builds—but does the story deliver, or does it drown in its own mystery? Plus, we pitch our sequel (Iron Lungs 2: Smoke Break) starring Redman, Dave Chappelle, and a trans baddie. Yes, for real. Don’t miss this one—it’s man, it’s film, it’s always raining. SHELTER (2024) | Jason Statham Movie Review — Xcellent World Review It’s always RAINING MAN at Xcellent WORLD NETWORK, and today we took cover in "SHELTER" — the latest Jason Statham action-thriller directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Robert Archer Lynn & Christopher Charles. From the jump, this one drops you in a Jason-born-meets-‘Leon the Professional’ crossover energy — an assassin with a heart, a girl with too many dead bodies behind her, and a plot that feels like déjà vu with a high-octane twist. In this solo episode, The Man on Film breaks it ALL down: Why this isn’t peak Statham, but still gives you 6.5 out of 10 explosive punchesThe wild Steven Siegal vs. Jamaica (MARKED FOR DEATH) action movie beef (yeah, we went there)The real reason we’re tired of Nicole Kidman’s AMC ad ( facts.)Why Shelter felt like Bourne 6, Mission Not-So-Impossible, and LEON THE Professional “Lite”Plus a rant about action stars needing more Oscar love (put respect on Heath Ledger name ) This isn’t your average review. This is Xcellent World.Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Uncancellable. | SLANTED vs MAN ON FILM | 13 Mar 2026 | 00:34:41
NEW EPISODE DROP – MAN ON FILM SLANTED vs MAN ON FILM What happens when a girl decides the fastest way to fit in… is to become blonde, white, and “socially acceptable”?Yeah. Slanted goes all the way there. This week, Andre Xcellence! & Mr. Caravaggio break down one of the boldest, funniest, messiest, most conversation-starting movies of the year — a sharp satire about race, beauty, assimilation, high school politics, and just how far people will go to be crowned acceptable. An Asian teen, tired of feeling invisible, signs up for an experimental procedure that literally transforms her into a blonde white girl — and from there the movie goes full chaos: prom queen ambition, identity crisis, racial satire, social climbing, creepy “ethnic enhancement” science, and one of the wildest fake commercials we’ve seen in a minute. This movie is funny, uncomfortable, smart, savage, and absolutely not subtle. And honestly? That’s what makes it hit. Highlights from the episode Olivia giving full Regina George energy and running the school like a tiny dictator The “become white in 2 hours” science pitch being insane from jump That disturbingly catchy “it’s good to be white” song living rent-free in the theater A brutal satire on filters, beauty standards, race performance, and self-hate One of the most thought-provoking endings we’ve had to argue about in a while Starring:Shirley ChenMcKenna GraceVivian WuAmelie ZilberR. Sarathkumar Written & Directed by Amy Wang MAN ON FILM Score: 85% Final Verdict:Bold. Funny. Uncomfortable. Smart.A conversation-starter with teeth. Not for the overly fragile… but absolutely worth seeing. If Mean Girls, The Substance, and identity politics had a weird, vicious little cinematic baby —Slanted would be it. | DISNEY/HOPPERS vs MAN ON FILM | 12 Mar 2026 | 00:29:29
NEW EPISODE DROP – MAN ON FILM HOPPERS vs MAN ON FILM Disney’s “Hoppers” hops into theaters with robot animals, insect politics, and a teenager trying to save the environment one beaver kingdom at a time. This week on Man on Film, we jumped into Disney’s newest animated experiment — a movie where humans can “hop” into robotic animal bodies to communicate with wildlife. Naturally this leads to insect councils, ecosystem debates, and a surprising number of woodland creatures being very chill about the whole “someone might get eaten today” situation. The story follows Mabel, a rebellious teen who uses experimental tech to connect with the animal world in order to stop developers from bulldozing the nature preserve her grandmother loved. Along the way we get beaver royalty, caterpillar villains, and a lot of Disney-style life lessons about nature, trust, and the circle of life. But the big question remains… Is Hoppers the next Toy Story or Lion King?Or is it just a cute Disney movie you put on so the kids stay quiet while you take an important phone call? Let’s just say… the Man on Film jury had opinions. Voice cast includes:Jon HammBobby MoynihanKathy NajimyDave FrancoSam RichardsonPiper Curda Highlights from the episode A caterpillar villain that feels like the Disney version of Joffrey Environmental messaging that hits you like a Pixar hammer Talking animals calmly accepting the food chain like it’s a business meeting Disney once again trying to sneak life lessons into a cartoon A surprisingly stacked Hollywood voice cast MAN ON FILM Score: 70% Final Verdict:Good animated movie for kids.Cute, weird, and occasionally funny. But if someone puts Hoppers on for date night…you might want to reconsider the relationship. | THE UNDERTONE vs MAN ON FILM | 14 Mar 2026 | 00:11:26
NEW EPISODE – MAN ON FILM UNDERTONE vs MAN ON FILM What happens when a horror movie about a podcast… forgets how podcasts work and what makes a movie interesting? Yeah.....That’s Undertone. #MinimalistHorror This week Andre Xcellence! steps into the booth ready for a creepy audio-horror experience… and instead walks out wondering if the movie owes him time, money, and emotional damages. Directed and written by Ian Tuason, Undertone tries to build tension through mysterious audio recordings, creepy nursery rhymes, and a supernatural entity haunting a podcast investigation. Unfortunately… it mostly feels like sitting through a bad podcast episode for 90 minutes. And if you know Man on Film, you know we love horror — but when a movie markets itself like the next great audio nightmare and delivers three actors, two rooms, and a bunch of sound effects, we’re going to talk about it. Highlights from the episode ....#ZERO A horror movie about podcasts that somehow doesn’t understand podcasts Creepy children’s songs played backwards… because apparently that’s still a thing The film feeling like 90% listening to a podcast and 10% actual movie Marketing that was scarier than the movie itself Andre reading the IMDB reviews and realizing everyone else is just as mad Directed & Written by:Ian Tuason Starring:Anisha KrishnanAdam DeMarcoMichelle Krusiec MAN ON FILM Score: 1 out of 5 stars Final Verdict:The marketing was spooky. The movie… not so much. If you’re a hardcore horror completionist, maybe give it a look someday on streaming. Otherwise? You might have more fun just listening to our review. Hosted by:Andre Xcellence! | READY OR NOT2 vs MAN ON FILM | 23 Mar 2026 | 00:28:39
MAN ON FILM: READY OR NOT 2 Welcome, welcome, WELCOME to the best show in the world — where it’s always raining men — this is MAN ON FILM with your host Mr. Excellence… and this week? Oh yeah… READY OR NOT 2 is back — and baby… we got THOUGHTS. Let’s start here: This is a solid 70%… maybe 75% if you feeling generous. Now don’t get it twisted — we were entertained …but did it go HARDER than the first one? …we gotta talk about it. We’re diving into: • A sequel that should’ve gone bigger… but kinda stayed in the same house • Samara Weaving still fighting for her LIFE (and making choices we side-eye HEAVY )• Sarah Michelle Gellar pulling up like she about to activate Buffy mode… and then NOT doing it • And Elijah Wood sliding in with that “evil lawyer / devil energy” like… sir… how did YOU even get here?? And listen… We gotta address the REAL issues: Why is nobody double-tapping ANYBODY?? Why are we making survival decisions like we WANT to die?? And WHY… after everything… are we STILL wearing the same bloody dress??? I’m talking: This movie had moments where we were like: “OH THIS ABOUT TO GO CRAZY—” …and then… “…wait… that’s it?” BUT — we’ll give credit where it’s due: Final verdict: when you say “Part 2”… IS IT WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING: Bigger? Wilder? MORE unhinged energy?! WE BREAK IT ALL DOWN: • What worked (and what absolutely did NOT)• The plot holes you can drive a truck through • The characters we loved… and the ones we were ready to eliminate ourselves • And the moment that had us like: “WHO EVEN ARE YOU??” Bottom line: If you liked the first one? You’ll rock with it. If you wanted something bigger and crazier? …DID PART2 DELIVER?!? FIND OUT ON MAN ON FILM EP.41 Man on Film — where we don’t just watch movies… we EXPERIENCE them. Tap in. Tell a friend. | PROJECT HAIL MARY ......(The King Has RETURNED!!) vs MAN ON FILM | Xcellent WORLD NETWORK | 20 Mar 2026 | 00:35:35
MAN ON FILM: PROJECT HAIL MARY Welcome, welcome, WELCOME to the best show in the world — where it’s always raining MEN — This is MAN ON FILM with your host, Mr. Xcellence, & special guest host Mr. Caravaggio bringing you laughs, hot takes, and elite-level movie talk you didn’t know you needed. This week? We’re blasting off into PROJECT HAIL MARY — starring the one and only Ryan Gosling, aka Ken, aka Notebook King, aka “carry-the-whole-movie-on-my-back” himself. Let me say this CLEARLY: This is a 90% GO SEE IT NOW type of film. We’re talking: Big sci-fi ideas Unexpected heart Alien friendships that hit harder than your last relationship And yes… a rock that might steal the entire damn movie This isn’t your typical “turn-your-brain-off” space flick. Nah — this one’s got: Humor Emotion Just enough “wait… what??” moments to keep you arguing with your friends after And of course… we break it ALL down: Is Ryan Gosling officially in his decade of dominance? Is Rocky (yeah… THAT Rocky ) the next Grogu-level icon? And why are we lowkey questioning some of the science while still loving every second of it? We laugh. We debate. We nitpick. We give you the REAL. Because that’s what we do. Bottom line:If you like smart movies, fun movies, emotional movies — or just want something that doesn’t feel recycled — this is your ticket. And if you don’t go see it? …we got questions Man on Film — where we don’t just watch movies… we EXPERIENCE them. Tap in. Tell a friend. | THEY WILL KILL YOU vs MAN ON FILM | 26 Mar 2026 | 00:42:11
MAN ON FILM: THEY WILL KILL YOU Welcome, Welcome, WELCOME to the best show in the world — where it’s always RAINING MAN — this is MAN ON FILM with your host Mr. Xcellence and special guest host Mr Caravaggio… and this week? Oh yeah… THEY WILL KILL YOU is here — and baby, this one came in swinging. Let’s start here: This is a solid 70% overall… but in horror-comedy? We’re pushing that up to an 80%. Because listen… This movie is: Bloody Stylish Funny in all the right sick ways And just wild enough to have us sitting there like… “Wait… is this Kill Bill 3 with Satan??” We’re diving into: • Zazie Beetz kicking ass like prison turned her into a full-blown action demon • Patricia Arquette bringing weird, spooky medium energy like she got direct service from Hell • Heather Graham catching chaos in the most ridiculous ways possible • And a whole devil-rich-people-immortality setup that had us like… “Oh… so THIS is what the co-op fees are paying for?” And yes… we gotta talk about the pig. Because when we say pig… We do NOT mean cute little farm animal energy We mean: Rotting devil pig Sign-your-name-on-the-flesh pig Tentacle / esophagus / nightmare-fuel pig And once that thing starts doing TOO much? Yeah… …we had questions. This movie really said: “What if rich people made a blood deal with Satan for immortality…but make it stylish, slashy, funny, and just a little unhinged?” And honestly? That part kind of works. BUT — we still keep it real over here: The Tarantino influence is LOUD.Like… LOUD loud. At certain points we were like: “Sir… Quentin would like his movie back.” Because this thing is giving: • Black exploitation throwback energy• Samurai revenge movie vibes• Horror-comedy bloodbath chaos• A little Cabin in the Woods• A lotta Kill Bill with demons And of course… We break down the REAL issues: • Did the ending go one step too far? • Was the final pig-head sequence genius… or just plain TOO MUCH? • Are these rich-people-in-satanic-cults movies trying to tell us something?? • And how exactly did our heroine come out of prison fighting like John Wick’s long-lost cousin?? Let’s be clear: This is not the scariest movie of the year. It’s more like: Gory Clever Campy Entertaining as hell So if you like your horror with laughs, blood, weird visuals, and a whole lot of “what the HELL is happening?” energy… This one might be for you. Final verdict: Overall? 70% But on the horror-comedy curve? 80% easy. Because not every movie should be judged the same — and in its lane? This one is fun, messy, stylish, and worth the ride. Bottom line: If you want deep terror and sleepless nights…this ain’t that movie. If you want: A badass lead Devil cult chaos Gore with style Horror-comedy madness And one unforgettable pig from Hell… …then yeah, tap in. MAN ON FILM — where we don’t just watch movies… we EXPERIENCE them. Find out what worked, what didn’t, what had us cackling, and what had us side-eyeing the screen like: “Now why would y’all do THAT??” Tap in. Tell a friend. | THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE vs MAN ON FILM 🎞 | 01 Apr 2026 | 00:29:12
MAN ON FILM: SUPER MARIO GALAXY Welcome, welcome, WELCOME to the best show in the world — where it’s always RAINING MAN — this is MAN ON FILM with your host Mr. Xcellence… and this week? Oh yes. We just stepped out of a private screening of SUPER MARIO GALAXY… …and baby, we got THOUGHTS. Let’s start here: This one gets a strong 75%. Which means yes — they actually came back and did what needed to be DONE. Because after that first movie? We had questions.Concerns.Doubts.Maybe even a little emotional damage. But THIS time? Bigger world Better visuals More ambition More “okay wait… now y’all cooking” This episode, we get into: • Why this movie feels like Nintendo finally decided to stop playing with us • Jack Black absolutely eating as Bowser like this is lowkey HIS franchise now • Brie Larson pulling up as Rosalina with full cosmic princess energy • Glenn Powell entering the chat as Star Fox like somebody in the casting room was feeling REAL bold • And the one thing that took a CHUNK out of the score… What did they do to Yoshi?? Yes.We have to talk about it.Because if you know, you KNOW. And if you don’t? Oh, trust… we’re going there. This movie really said: “What if Mario got bigger, weirder, more galactic, more emotional, more cinematic…but still kept enough chaos to make the crowd lose their minds?” And honestly? That part works. A LOT of it works. The visuals? Gorgeous. The scale? Huge. The fan-service moments? Oh they knew exactly what they were doing. There were multiple times we were sitting there like: “Okay wait… why is this actually hitting??” BUT because this is MAN ON FILM… you already know we’re not just here to clap and smile. We’re asking the REAL questions: Why is one of the most beloved Mario characters getting treated like an afterthought? Why did Bowser almost run off with the whole damn movie by himself? Why does Luigi seem like he’s having a whole separate little emotional journey?? And why are certain princesses looking at Mario like they got plans beyond the galaxy?? We also break down: • The moments that made us laugh• The scenes that genuinely gagged us visually• The post-credit setups that got us READY for the next one• And whether this is finally the Mario sequel that gives the franchise real staying power Because let’s be honest… This isn’t just about whether the movie is “good.” It’s about whether Nintendo and Universal finally figured out how to turn this into a real movie universe. And from what we saw? They might actually have something. Final verdict: 75% A definite step up.A much better ride.A visually stacked sequel with real crowd-pleasing energy. And yes… we’re still side-eyeing the Yoshi situation. Bottom line: If you love Mario…If you love animation…If you want a sequel that actually tries to go BIGGER… this episode is for you. Yeah… FACES OF DEATH is back. And somehow… this remake is actually WAY better than it has any right to be. Let’s get straight to it: This is an 85% — GO SEE IT (if you can handle it ) We’re talking: • A performance from Dacre Montgomery that’s straight-up unhinged (in the BEST way) • Brutal, chaotic horror that feels modern, fast, and just uncomfortable enough • A remake of one of the most infamous titles ever… that actually brings something NEW to the table • And moments that had us like: “nah… this is CRAZY crazy.” But of course… this is MAN ON FILM — so we’re not just praising it. MAN ON FILM: “BEAST” (Russell Crowe… WHAT happened?!) Welcome, welcome, WELCOME to the best show in the world… MAN ON FILM — and yeah… …it’s raining, man. This episode? We just walked out the theater after watching Beast starring Russell Crowe… …and let’s just say: we got thoughts. On paper, this should’ve been a knockout: MMA comeback story revenge plot brother dies → fighter returns Russell Crowe writing, producing, starring… …but somehow? …it ends up feeling like: a remix of every fight movie you’ve already seen. We break down: • Why the action scenes actually HIT (the best part of the movie)• The BIG problem: it’s way too predictable — like calling every punch before it lands• The strange decision-making behind the story (and yeah… we noticed EVERYTHING )• And the moment we all realized: “wait… is this just Rocky again??” And of course… you already KNOW we had the squad with us. Including Jethro… unfiltered unapologetic absolutely NOT entertained Let’s just say… he had A LOT to say about Russell Crowe Final Verdict: 6/10 overall ~7/10 in sports movie territory Respectable… …but not memorable.
