EPISODE 143: Electronic music pioneer Howard Jones has been a constant presence on the international touring scene for the past four decades, playing live in a number of different configurations including intimate solo shows and dates with his full high-tech band set-up. He first burst upon the contemporary music scene in 1983, with his very English songwriting and pioneering synthesizers with “New Song”. His first two albums HUMAN’S LIB and DREAM INTO ACTION were worldwide hits. HUMAN’S LIB reached #1 in 1984 in the UK and featured the hits “New Song,” and “What Is Love?”  In 1985, Jones released the follow-up, DREAM INTO ACTION, which quickly became a Top Ten Platinum album in the United States and featured the smashes: “Things Can Only Get Better,” “Life In One Day,” “No One Is To Blame,” and “Like To Get To Know You Well.” Howard Jones has sold upwards of 10 million albums worldwide and continues to make new music and tour the world.  Jones has performed on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! EPISODE 142: Joe Matera is an Italian-Australian musician, music journalist, and author. Over the course of his illustrious performing career, he has played guitar for famed British music legend Steve Harley, supported the likes of Canned Heat, The Animals, and Bay City Rollers in concert and earned a top five selling instrumental album on the Australian ARIA chart. EPISODE 42: Leagan Starchild is a drummer, artist and producer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has influenced South African music with his versatility and ability to adapt to any style of music. His drive, passion for good music and high calibre of musicianship led him to opportunities such as his first professional gig with Benjamin Dube, on Benjamin’s Live DVD Benjamin Dube & The High Praise Explosion (2004). He then went on to play with Kabelo, a Kwaito legend, which lead to numerous opportunities with high profile artists in South Africa such as Lira, Loyiso Bala, Salaelo Salota, Jimmy Dludlu, Jann Klose and many others. Leagan Starchild then went on to work with Trevor Noah as the Musical Director on his show Tonight with Trevor Noah. In 2012, he co produced and performed with AKA, the opening act for Kanye West on the Castle Lite Feel the Beat of Sub-Zero Experience. He has also been the resident drummer on Idols SA since 2013. Leagan Starchild has also performed and toured with Israel Houghton, acclaimed Grammy award winning gospel artist, on his Alive in South Africa Tour (2007), as well as Grammy winning artist Anthony Hamilton on his South Africa Tour in 2019.  On 21st May 2021, Leagan Starchild released his first ever EP called Ekyoto through Universal Music. EPISODE 41: Danny Burstein  is an American actor and singer, most known for his work on the Broadway stage. Burstein is a seven-time Tony Award nominee; for The Drowsy Chaperone (2006), South Pacific (2008), Follies (2012), Golden Boy (2013), Cabaret (2014), Fiddler on the Roof (2016), and Moulin Rouge! (2020). He has also won two Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, and received three Grammy Award nominations. Burstein's performance as Harold Zidler in the stage adaptation of Moulin Rouge! on Broadway earned him the 2020 Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance. His other Broadway credits include The Seagull (1992), Saint Joan (1993), and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (2010). Burstein's television work includes a feature-length episode of the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous (2002) and a Staten Island father in the first season of Louie (2010). He appeared as different characters in six episodes of the original NBC drama series Law & Order (1995–2015), and also recurred as Lolly Steinman on the HBO series Boardwalk Empire (2010–11) and as D.A.
