BONUS Recap: Practical Magic 2 Premiere Weekend | Lancaster, PA
Season 4
Sunday, September 27, 2026 • Duration 02:08:11
The Stinas are back from Lancaster County, PA... and we have some STORIES to tell.
In this special bonus recap, we're reliving our whirlwind Practical Magic 2 Premiere Weekend, beginning with a HUGE Magnolia Street milestone: our first-ever vendor booth and first acoustic gig together at Penn Cinema's Practical Magic fan event in Lititz!
From there, things only got more magical... and considerably more chaotic.
There were gifts exchanged, parents meeting for the first time, a visit from our friend Jeremy, a Magnolia Street music video shoot, and… another blood sacrifice?! At this point, we really need to ask: Is our song cursed?
Then came Premiere Night. We donned our witchiest attire, reunited with our friends Crimson Calamity, Justina secured a highly coveted popcorn vessel, and The Stinas received an on screen surprise at Penn Cinema that we absolutely were NOT prepared for.
Back at the Airbnb, we announced our giveaway winner and hosted our first-ever LIVE episode with an in-studio audience — but apparently the night wasn't over when everyone went home. Jimmy had other plans.
Add in a wounded Stina, some suspicious Airbnb gremlin activity, a Blue Sapphire and several moments that probably require explaining…
…and you've got yourself a Magnolia Street road trip.
But perhaps the strangest bit of magic was waiting for us in plain sight the entire time, and we didn't notice it until we were leaving.
What kind of tree was growing in the front yard of our Airbnb?
Oh, witches.
You already know. 🌿✨
Ep. 176: The Blue Sapphire 💙 & Red String Theories (When Practical Magic Meets Titanic)
Season 4 · Episode 176
Friday, September 25, 2026 • Duration 03:03:28
💎WARNING: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF BILLY ZANE…💎 When Alice Hoffman published Practical Magic, she planted one small detail into Maria Owens’s story: a blue sapphire. Maria wore the stone until the day she died—a gift from the man she loved, worn to remind herself of what was important and what was not. But as Alice expanded the Owens family story, she also expanded the mythology of this little blue stone. Across all four books, the sapphire accumulates layers of love, wisdom, prophecy, magic, inheritance…and one particularly interesting mystery. Because somewhere along the way, Maria Owens’s sapphire goes missing. In The Rules of Magic, Franny sells the centuries-old family heirloom to help Vincent escape. As far as readers know, it’s gone. And yet, decades later in The Book of Magic, there it is again…around Sally Owens’s neck at her wedding, with absolutely no explanation for how it found its way home. Naturally, Justina couldn’t leave that alone. So in addition to tracing the sapphire through Owens family history and the chronology of Alice Hoffman’s writing, she’s connecting a few red strings of her own. Today, we’re filling in that mysterious missing chapter with a little Magnolia Street fanfiction we’re calling The Sapphire Gap. And then things get even more Magnolia Street. Because sapphires have their own fascinating history filled with folklore, superstition, prophecy, famous jewels…and curses. And following those red strings somehow brought us back to an inexplicably recurring Magnolia Street obsession: The Titanic. Rose DeWitt Bukater (WAS she a long lost Owens ancestor?). And, of course, Billy Zane. Justina has been sitting on pieces of this madness since Season Two: abandoned notes, unfinished theories, strange coincidences, and red strings that never quite connected. Until now. This episode is her Roman Empire. So grab your magnifying glass, your grimoire, your gemological equipment (and perhaps a life jacket) because after four years of Magnolia Street lore, we have to ask: 💙 Have we been circling the same blue stone all along?

Ep. 174: Can You Bottle Practical Magic? | The PM2 Collab Craze + The Creators Who Were Already Here (Special Guests : Hearth Witch Home Co. & Shabby Creek Cottage)
Season 4 · Episode 174
Friday, September 11, 2026 • Duration 03:06:39
Practical Magic 2 is finally here... and apparently, so is Practical Magic EVERYTHING.
Tequila. Makeup. Eyewear. Home decor. Clothing. Tea. Lip balm. Frozen yogurt. Pizza?! After nearly 30 years of fans having very little official merchandise to choose from, the arrival of PM2 has unleashed a seemingly endless stream of brand collaborations.
And after listeners, journalists, and fellow creators kept asking us the same question, we finally decided it was time to talk about it:
What do The Stinas actually think of the PM2 collab craze?
We're digging into the official collaborations that completely understood the assignment, the ones that surprised us, and the ones that left us wondering what exactly they have to do with Practical Magic. More importantly, we're asking a bigger question: What actually makes something feel like Practical Magic?
Because long before Practical Magic became a marketplace, the fandom was making the magic itself.
For decades, artists, candle makers, writers, herbalists, jewelry makers, DIYers, and wonderfully witchy small businesses created the things that didn't officially exist. So while the Owens universe is having its very big, very shiny commercial moment, we're also turning the spotlight toward some of the creators who were already here.
We're joined by Kate of Hearth Witch Home Co. to explore what Practical Magic actually smells like, and Gina Luker of The Shabby Creek Cottage and Illumine Magazine to talk about bringing the feeling of Practical Magic into our homes, gardens, rituals, and everyday lives.
And ultimately, we're asking: if the fans helped keep Practical Magic alive long enough for this moment to happen, should more of those fans and creators have had a seat at the table when Practical Magic became big business?
Ep. 173: Pour the Magic! | The Owens Table of Wine & Ritual (with Phantom Wines)
Season 4 · Episode 173
Friday, September 4, 2026 • Duration 02:45:11
This episode of Magnolia Street is sponsored by Phantom Wines. For consumers 21+ only. Please enjoy responsibly.
"Pull up a chair, neighbors. This week, we're gathering around the table for a very special episode of Magnolia Street, sponsored by Phantom Wines.
Inspired by the everyday rituals that make ordinary moments feel a little more magical, we're exploring the history, folklore and traditions surrounding wine, and the way a shared table can become a place for storytelling, memory, connection and community.
We'll travel through ancient wine mythology and curious superstitions from around the world, explore the magical folklore of the grape, and share traditions passed down through our own families. Kristina takes us into her Croatian heritage, sharing memories of her grandparents, family dinners, toasts, and the rituals that shaped her understanding of hospitality and gathering. Justina sits down with her parents to hear their memories of homemade family wine, summers in Italy, and the stories preserved inside old bottles and family photographs.
Then, of course, we're bringing it all home to the Owens women.
We're tracing wine throughout Alice Hoffman's Practical Magic series, revisiting the Owens kitchen as the heart and hearth of the family, talking Midnight Margaritas, inherited recipes, kitchen witchery, Franny and Jet's rules for the table, and asking the very important question: If the Owens women were wines... what would they be?
Along the way, we're enjoying Phantom Wines' dark and alluring Proprietary Red Blend and rich and enticing Chardonnay, while uncovering the generations of Bogle family history behind the bottle, including the ghostly vineyard lore that helped inspire Phantom itself.
Because sometimes the magic isn't what's inside the glass.

Ep. 171: The Book of the Raven | With Special Guest Charlee of Tv Gifts Love
Season 4 · Episode 171
Friday, August 21, 2026 • Duration 03:14:29
The Book of the Raven has officially flown from the pages of Alice Hoffman's novels onto the big screen—but long before audiences see it in Practical Magic 2, one fan brought it to life by hand.
In this episode, we're joined by Charlee of TV Gifts and Love, the talented UK craftswoman behind one of the most breathtaking fan-made replicas we've ever seen. Inspired by the first Practical Magic 2 teaser, Charlee didn't simply recreate the mysterious grimoire's cover—she imagined what Amelia Bassano herself might have written inside. We explore the research, artistry, symbolism, and storytelling that transformed a fictional magical artifact into something fans can actually hold in their hands.
Then, after our interview, we turn our attention back to Alice Hoffman's novels to uncover the true story of the Book of the Raven.
Where did it first appear? Why did Maria Owens hide it behind the walls of the Owens Library? How did it shape Faith Owens' journey in Magic Lessons, and why does it ultimately become the key to breaking the Owens family curse in The Book of Magic?
Together, we'll trace the complete history of one of the Practical Magic universe's most powerful magical objects—from its mysterious author, Amelia Bassano, to its warnings about revenge, sacrifice, love, and the extraordinary price of breaking a curse.
Whether you're counting down the days until Practical Magic 2 or following along with our complete Practical Magic Book Summary Series, this is the perfect deep dive into one of the sequel's most intriguing magical mysteries.
This week on Magnolia Street, we're turning our attention to the other Owens sister... Antonia. 🌹
Fresh off the heels of our exclusive interview with Alexandra "Lexi" Artrip—the actress who brought young Antonia Owens to life in the beloved 1998 cult classic Practical Magic—we're diving deep into one of the most overlooked character arcs in Alice Hoffman's entire Owens saga.
Often remembered simply as Kylie's older sister (in the novels), Antonia's story is so much more than that. From a spirited little girl craving attention... to a teenager struggling with identity, jealousy, and self-worth... to the brilliant emergency physician who ultimately helps bring an end to the Owens family curse, Antonia undergoes one of the most remarkable transformations in the series.
Together, we'll trace her complete journey through both the novels and the film, explore the symbolism hidden within her character, uncover the zodiac sign we believe fits her best, pull a tarot card to discover her archetype, and even determine her Myers-Briggs personality type.
Join us as we celebrate the quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and extraordinary heart of the Owens sister who spent so much of her life in someone else's shadow—only to become exactly the person her family needed all along.
