#182 - How To Dominate Your Schedule05 Jul 202300:28:35

People often say things like, "I can't do that because of this" or "I have to do this," which reflect a sense of obligation and restriction.

In this episode, we talked about the "Have to" attitude and how it often traps us in the demands of our schedules and routines—that hinders us to pursue activities we truly desire.

With this way of thinking, we unintentionally put ourselves in a situation where our schedules take control and determine our thoughts and actions.

It's important to understand that we have the power to choose our actions and determine how we organize them.

We need to consider these schedules' long-term goals and envision a life where they have more dominion and ease.

#181 - How Fatherhood Shapes the World | Patrick Erlandson28 Jun 202300:59:42

Believe it or not, being a dad has a much bigger effect on families than you can imagine.

In this episode, Patrick Erlandson points out two key factors that have deeply motivated him to advocate the importance of a father's presence while an individual is growing up.

First was the heartbreaking reality of human trafficking, especially the exploitation of children and weak people. He recognized a connection between the absence of fathers and the presence of fathers who engage in abusive behavior. And with that plays a vital factor in the increased vulnerability of individuals.

Another reason is the effect of minimizing the role of fathers in early childhood development. Prisons are overflowing with fatherless individuals, runaways and dropout rates are alarming, and violence among fatherless children is prevalent.

By giving importance to a father's role in the family and giving them the value and recognition that they deserve, the society can be a better and safer place for our children to live.

Let's all start raising our sons to be positively inspired to take on fatherhood.

#180 - Consistency vs New21 Jun 202300:16:12

If you follow your routines while immersing yourself in an unfamiliar environment, you might be surprised at how this can change you.

This episode opens up with an intriguing discussion on the duality of consistency versus the new.

Putting a wrench in known patterns gives us a unique chance to look at ourselves and decide what is really working in our lives and what needs to be changed.

By breaking free from routines, seeking external perspectives, and embracing discomfort, we pave the way for personal growth and development.

With this way of thinking, you can filter out old parts of yourself and make room for the new you to come out.

#175 - Starting Your Marriage Off with a Bang!17 May 202300:41:13

Marriage is fulfilling a promise of forever.

It is a major milestone in a couple's lives, and it marks the beginning of a new chapter in their journey together. It signifies a deep commitment to each other and a willingness to face life's challenges as a team.

Our expectation informs us that the start of a marriage is this perfectly romantic, lovey-dovey phase. But here's the reality: it's okay if the start of a marriage isn't as perfect as we expect it to be; it takes a while to transition to living together and learning what works best for both.  Marriage is a journey, and it is normal to experience ups and downs along the way. The key is to stay committed to each other, to keep working on the relationship, and to celebrate the small victories along the way.

It is important that we choose a partner who shares our values, goals, and priorities, and who is committed to working through challenges and building a God-centered relationship together. With the right person and a willingness to put in the work, marriage can be a rewarding and fulfilling journey.

#174 - Stress Inoculation10 May 202300:30:03

Stress is natural. It's our body's response when we are faced with dangerous or challenging circumstances.

No matter how negative the meaning of this word is, stress can be beneficial—it helps us in staying motivated and focused. However, experiencing an excessive amount of stress can be detrimental to both our physical and mental health.

It's important that we learn how to recognize and cope with stress in a healthy way. We should make every effort to prevent experiencing an excessive amount of stress by taking immediate action to address the factors that are contributing to it.

Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) is a cognitive-behavioral therapy that aims to help us develop skills that can be used to better manage our stress and anxiety. The purpose of SIT is to strengthen us and improve our capacity to deal with stress in real-life situations by putting us in circumstances where we are exposed to controlled levels of stress. This type of therapy might not be suitable for everyone and needs to be supervised by a trained mental health professional.

We can deal with stress by simply doing relaxation exercises like meditation, regular exercise, maintaining a good diet, getting enough sleep, and, if necessary, receiving help from close friends, family members, or a mental health professional.

#172 - Spiritual Nakedness26 Apr 202300:25:22

Spiritual nakedness is a vital step on the path to greater spiritual awareness and growth as an individual.

We usually hide our thoughts and emotions out of fear that others will not embrace us for who we truly are. We often push others away because we are afraid to reveal our true selves to them. But we cannot expect others to embrace us if we are unwilling to confront our thoughts and emotions. And thus the need to be spiritually naked, that is, to be true to ourselves, is necessary.

Accepting who we truly are and not allowing our deepest, darkest thoughts to dictate who we should be and what we should do is the first step toward opening up. It takes courage to let others in, but when the right person enters our lives, they have a way of making the risk worthwhile.

By embracing this state of vulnerability and openness, we may be able to learn more about ourselves and our true purpose in this world.

#171 - The Importance of Mental Freedom19 Apr 202300:42:36

Our lives could mean so many things. But how do we know that we're living a healthy, fulfilled life?

It's not just about the feeling of fulfillment, but it's about knowing that you're living a life with sexual integrity, being aligned with your purpose, and most importantly, experiencing mental freedom.

Mental freedom is the highest form of self-love and a testament of our strong relationship with ourselves.

It's about being capable of taking full control over our thoughts and feelings and being able to manage every state of our lives. It enables us to recognize and detach ourselves from the unhealthy patterns and beliefs that have a significant impact on our well-being, allowing us to concentrate on the habits that are beneficial to us.

Looks like it's easier said than done. But in order to achieve mental freedom, we need to be mindful of the habits that we incorporate in our daily lives, as well as the kind of environment that we are exposed to. It is vital that we surround ourselves with positive and supportive people like how it is here at High Noon, and engage in healthy and productive activities that will bring us joy and a sense of fulfillment.

#170 - European Tour (Behind the Scenes)12 Apr 202300:30:05

"Here in Europe, our focus has been more on giving people experience rather than information." - Andrew Love

Information is power. But experience is the best teacher.

As cliche as these may sound, there's undeniable truthfulness to these statements. And these are some tenets we hold high regard for here in High Noon.

And so during the first time, we hosted a workshop in Europe, we provided the participants with necessary information about transforming one's life, with the hopes that they continue the discourse in the comfort of their homes and communities.

But the process of transformation doesn't just end with discussion. It also comes with an application.

We returned to Europe with a renewed goal—that is, to convert their gained knowledge into immediate practice by providing them with proper guidance and the right tools necessary to facilitate positive transformation in their lives.

And while workshops like this empower the participants and allow them to speak their minds, open their hearts, and strengthen a community where they can support each other, it still takes one's commitment, ownership, and taking responsibility for their own transformation.

Remember: Positive changes and real transformation only happen when we allow ourselves to do so.

#169 - How to Focus Your Goals05 Apr 202300:23:25

Our North Star goals should be congruent with Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

Setting goals that are beyond what we believe are our capacity can be  exhilarating and frightening at the same time. When we set our goals, we experience a burst of motivation and energy as we begin to take our vision. But, as time passes and we encounter obstacles, our vision starts to fade, leading us to question ourselves and allowing negative emotions to arise.

So how do we avoid these negative emotions?

Achieving goals is a gradual process that entails creating a strong foundation of physical and emotional wellness, love, and connection. And so when we focus on pampering ourselves—which means we listen to ourselves and provide our physical and emotional needs—we are slowly creating that foundation. When there is self-love and confidence, there is assurance no matter what obstacles there are, and the path to achieving our goals clears itself to us.

#168 - Why Talking to the RIGHT People can Change Your Life29 Mar 202300:40:29

How do we know that we're living a fulfilled life? — is probably one of life's hardest questions to answer.

It's because there's no concrete answer to that. Each of us have our own interpretation of what fulfillment is—what happiness is.

We can be easily fooled to think that we are genuinely satisfied and happy without realizing that we're actually longing for something deeper or more meaningful in life. Because of this disconnect, we try to find different coping mechanisms to assuage that nagging feeling of discontent.

Disconnect equals discontent.

Disconnect can lead to destructive coping mechanisms.

Disconnect can force someone into deep isolation, different types of addiction, and even self-harm.

Our personal fulfillment is a long journey. Which is why it's important to keep ourselves grounded and connected with the right people, surrounded by the right support group, and be a part of the right community.

Find yourself the right community—a safe place where you're free to show your true self and feel the warmth of love and support.

#167 - Run Towards Difficult Conversations to Find Freedom22 Mar 202300:39:13

Why do we tend to avoid confrontations?

Confrontations are often difficult. It takes a lot of strength to have a deep, emotional, and sometimes even intense conversation with someone whom we may have previously had an argument with, or someone we're not comfortable expressing our thoughts and feelings to.

Being confronted can strike fear in our hearts, make us self-conscious, or feel inferior or intimidated. Sadly, this can affect our self-confidence and ability to face challenging situations that could be an opportunity for personal growth and development.

While confrontations can feel difficult or heavy, it is a pathway to being more open and understanding of the things around us. It helps us to be more compassionate and responsive to the needs of other people. It allows us to be more productive and establish healthy relationships.

How do we embrace difficult conversations and find freedom? Tune in to find out more!
