We are all waiting for something regardless of our age or stage of life. However, the waiting game can be difficult. "God doesn't condemn you...the Holy Spirit will convict you," Richard said. "The enemy, when he condemns you, it's not for you to be better ... it's for you to tap out."

When one's sex drive seems to be taking over, Brittni said it's important to look back at his or her vision to remember what is true and what God calls them to. She affirmed, "A vision is a very important thing to have."

"The enemy tempts you in two ways. When you're lonely...and when you're weary," Richard continued. "Never make a decision when you're weary."

On this episode of "Let's Talk Purity," Richard and Brittni tackle the power of forgiveness, exploring Jesus' transformational words on the cross, and why we must persevere and forgive others — even those who are unapologetic.

After mentioning Christ's stunning act of forgiveness during his crucifixion when he told the Lord of his mockers and murderers, "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do,"  Richard explained why grace is so essential. 

"Without forgiveness, we wouldn't see a resurrection," he said. "A lot of us, we want to see a resurrection, we want to see God revive and restore things in our life, but are we willing to forgive? And I truly believe that forgiveness and resurrection go hand-in-hand."

He added the ramifications of not forgiving are potentially sweeping and can hamper us. "If we are going to see God use us in a mighty way, then we have to be able to be quick to forgive," Richard said. "And I think that's so hard for people."

Brittni added another important detail: sometimes, people don't realize the full scope of their negative actions. "People are always aware of their actions, but they're not aware of what it's actually doing to themselves or others," she said, pointing back to her own past as a porn star before coming to the Lord. "I didn't realize that I was living a life of sin, that I was leading people into sin."

Brittni added, "We've got to be the type of people that can forgive and understand that, if they truly understood what they were doing, they woudn't be doing it."

The couple explained the importance of finding peace and letting go of unforgiveness.  "When you hold onto unforgiveness you're going to ... harbor pain," Richard said. Listen to the powerful conversation.

Are you overthinking your calling? That's the question Richard and Brittni tackle on this episode of "Let's Talk Purity."

"God wants us to pursue Him and to be obedient to the world that He has given us in the right season," Brittni proclaims. "We need to make sure that when God gives us a word, we do it."

Richard said this tends to be an area where "the enemy just tries to snatch that from us," with some people mistakenly waiting for the perfect moment to do or live out what the Lord has called them to.

"We're thinking of perfection," Richard said, noting it's better to listen to God than obsess over the perfect moment. "I would rather have you sow a seed that could potentially bring in a harvest rather than you just holding on to the seed and waiting for the perfect moment."

And Brittni encouraged the faithful not to hide the gifts God has given them.

"You don't want to be the unfaithful servant," she said, adding that it's also important not to let external voices prevent you from doing what God wants.  "If there have been external voices that have tried to stop you from fulfilling the call that God has placed upon your life, you need to rebuke those thoughts and go ahead and fulfill the call anyways. ... You don't need someone else's approval"

Shame. Pain. Uncertainty. Alli Patterson, an author and teaching pastor at Crossroads Church, believes there are too many people today struggling to understand what it truly means to have a deep, healthy, and transformative relationship with Jesus.

"I have just seen too many people, when trouble hits...they figure out then, 'Oh, I wasn't really connected to Jesus ... I wasn't really grounded on anything," she told hosts Brittni and Richard De La Mora. "I just have such a burden for that."

Alli is out with a new book, "How to Stay Standing: 3 Essential Practices for Building a Faith That Lasts." On this episode of "Let's Talk Purity," she shares her own story of growing up the "classic good kid," meeting Jesus at age 16 — and then making some diabolical decisions in her 20s. Those choices, she said, "burned to the ground almost everything in my life."

Suddenly, Alli's marriage and career were in shambles and she was forced to go on a journey, recognizing the way she lived her life — based on the world's standards — was unfulfilling.

"I did it the way the world said to do it, and I fell apart anyway," Alli said.
