James Iron Cowboy Lawrence - Conquer 10008 Mar 202200:54:13

Today's guest is known as one of the toughest men alive on the planet. His name is James Iron Cowboy Lawrence. He is a Canadian American athlete, born in Alberta, Canada, currently residing in Utah, with his family. James holds multiple records; these include the most half-iron distance races in a single calendar year. In 2015, he also completed the 50-50-50, consisting of 50 iron distance triathlons, in 50 straight days, in all 50 states. Then he decided to take on the Conquer 100 in 2021, which was 100 iron distance triathlons in 100 straight days. James truly wanted to defy logic and that anything can be accomplished.

This episode is absolutely mind blowing. We talked about what it took to complete 50-50-50 and how that carried over into problem solving for the Conquer 100. They became masters at solving problems and solving them quickly. We also discussed the toll that doing the Conquer 100 took on James's body, such as losing his toenails after the first few days, suffering a concussion, breaking his back on day 59 during a bike crash, and so much more. We go into the mindset of what it took to do all of this, and to come out on the other side successfully.

Chasing Your Dream with Country Music Star Kaleb Austin08 Feb 202200:31:05

Today we are joined by Kaleb Austin, a country music star. Kaleb grew up in a large family of musicians and was constantly exposed to live music, mostly country and rock. This cultivated a deep love and connection with performing from a very early age, specifically performing country music. At age 14, he began with a few guitar lessons, which quickly became useful for writing his own music. Songwriting blossomed into a creative outlet for him to express his life. During his senior year of high school, his songwriting skill became useful as he found out that he was going to be a young father. Predictably, he didn't have a clue on how to express the whirlwind of emotions at such a young age, so he turned to pen and paper.

Over the course of a few years, Kaleb decided to take songwriting to the next level and moved to Nashville to learn from the best in the world. He immediately got busy writing and co-writing as many songs as possible. After almost a year, he moved back to Utah due to family reasons; however, he returned armed with the songwriting skills he needed and penned his first number one hit single, Sound of the South. On January 19th, 2021, the single debuted number one on iTunes country charts. The third most downloaded country song that week.

Kaleb attributes the success of his single to his wife, God, and a massive social media following on TikTok and Instagram. Kaleb was voted TikTok's country artist of the year and he just recently released a song, Cheyenne, that debuted at number two of the iTunes chart.

In this episode, we talk about Kaleb's journey, how important it is to never give up on our dreams, and how our experiences mold us into the people that we are today.
