Are the Rangers a legitimate Stanley Cup contender?
Season 2 · Episode 26
jeudi 31 mars 2022 • Duration 59:00
The Rangers have been on fire since the trade deadline, and outside of a stinker against the Devils have the look of a team who can make a deep playoff run. On this week's episode of Live from the Blue Seats, Dave and Rob size the team up against their Metropolitan Division counterparts. While matchups against Pittsburgh and Washington seem favorable, the Carolina Hurricanes loom in round 2.
The other big issue is the play of Alexandar Georgiev, who has allowed 4 goals in each of his last two starts, and isn't inspiring much confidence in him as a backup should Igor Shesterkin go down with an injury. Should the Rangers consider promoting Keith Kinkaid? Dave also quizzes Rob on some stats-based trivia, and the answers to some of the questions may surprise you. As always, the show concludes with a slew of fantastic fan-submitted questions.

Season 2 · Episode 25
jeudi 24 mars 2022 • Duration 01:16:15
Live from the Blue Seats truly went live for the first time ever on Monday night, with Rob, Becky and Dave hosting a special Trade Deadline reaction show on Twitter Spaces. In case you missed it as it happened, you can check it out here in podcast form.
In addition to offering their takes on the additions of Andrew Copp, Tyler Motte and Justin Braun, the gang welcomed in several guest speakers throughout the show. Topics discussed included lineup decisions, locker room dynamics, and what the Rangers might've missed out on, but the general vibe was one of excitement, as Chris Drury solidified and deepened the Blueshirts lineup in preparation for what everyone hopes will be a long playoff run.
Live from the Blue Seats will be back in its traditional podcast form next week, but make sure to follow the show on Twitter @BlueSeatsLive! There will be future Twitter Spaces shows in addition to the weekly podcast as the playoffs approach.

It's almost here. The NHL trade deadline is 5 short days away, and the Rangers are looking to solidify their lineup in advance of their first playoff appearance since 2017. On this week's show, Rob, Becky and Dave make their final trade deadline predictions. Who will be wearing Ranger blue on March 22, and will we be saying goodbye to any current players?
The gang also recaps Tuesday night's thrilling 4-3 OT win over the Ducks, and answers some listener submitted questions.

Could (and more importantly, should) the Rangers trade for Patrick Kane?
Season 2 · Episode 23
jeudi 10 mars 2022 • Duration 01:13:57
With the trade deadline less than two weeks away, the Rangers are being linked to every name on the market. While the focus has been on improving the team's depth, the Rangers have the assets and cap space to make a splash, and some fans are clamoring for Chris Drury to go big. With the huge disclaimer that Rob, Becky and Dave would all be against this move because of his history of assault and rape allegations, Patrick Kane's name comes up because of his star status, his history with Artemi Panarin, and the current state of the Blackhawks, who are about to begin a full-scale rebuild. But if the Rangers are going to bring any stars to New York via trade, they'd likely need to part with Kaapo Kakko. Would it be worth it?
The gang also discusses Igor Shesterkin's Hart Trophy case, with plenty of shots fired at overzealous Toronto Maple Leafs fans who have argued that a goalie shouldn't be eligible for the league MVP award. The show concludes, as always, with answers to some fan questions.

Pavel Buchnevich returns to MSG, and which Euphoria character is your favorite Ranger? with @JessicaLynn312
Season 2 · Episode 22
mercredi 2 mars 2022 • Duration 01:11:36
Rob and Dave assess the Rangers' recent play, as they turned in a couple of solid performances vs. Washington and Pittsburgh before laying an egg at home to Vancouver. They also try to decipher the bottom six, which has become a jumbled mess exacerbated by the recent decision by Gerard Gallant to scratch Filip Chytil. But the big story this week is the return of Pavel Buchnevich to New York. The question really isn't if Buchnevich will score, but how many against his former team? And will the Buchnevich trade discourse ever die?
Then Becky joins the show for fan questions with a special guest, lifelong Rangers fan and friend of the pod Jessica Laporte (@JessicaLynn312). We enlisted Jessica's help to answer a fan question about a certain HBO show; if you're a fan of the wildly popular HBO Series Euphoria, you'll want to stick around until the end.

How likely is a trade between the Rangers and Islanders? Trade deadline musings and more with Arthur Staple
Season 2 · Episode 21
mercredi 23 février 2022 • Duration 01:14:33
Becky returns from COVID-19 protocol and rejoins Rob and Dave this week, along with special guest Arthur Staple of The Athletic. The Rangers have started to play a solid team game as they begin the mad dash to the season's finish line: 32 games in 63 days. Even though the goals haven't started coming just yet, is this version of the Rangers "good enough" to make noise in the playoffs?
Then, Arthur Staple shares his insights on Chris Drury's trade deadline approach. Should we expect a trade before March 21st? Are the Rangers looking to make minor upgrades, or a major splash? He also gives his overall impression of the Rangers this season under first year head coach Gerard Gallant.
Make sure to follow Arthur on Twitter, check out his podcast The Garden Faithful, and read all of his work over at The Athletic (subscription required).

Why the Rangers can finish first in the Metro
Season 2 · Episode 20
jeudi 17 février 2022 • Duration 01:07:41
With Becky on COVID-19 protocol, Russ Hartman joined Rob and Dave on the show as the Rangers returned from their two week break. The gang relives Tuesday night's thrilling shootout win over Boston, and discusses the drama of Igor Shesterkin's late-game exit and return. This was also the second strong game in a row for the Rangers against a good opponent. Are there finally signs that the team is turning around its anemic even strength play?
Also, the Rangers have 34 games remaining, with 17 of them against Metro division rivals. Is a first-place finish an impossible dream, or a realistic goal? And of course, the show closes with listener questions, which never disappoint.
