Lennie is best known for his 40+ years working at Zildjian, most notably in Artist Relations, as well as other key roles, and John is joined by Lennie’s daughter, Therese DiMuzio, and old friends and Zildjian alumni Colin Schofield, Jerry Donegan, Paul Francis, John Sorenson and Bill Morgan, along with Rob Wallis of Hudson Music, DCI Video and Drummers Collective. The group shared stories about Lennie during their time working at Zildjian, many involving Lennie's storied friendship with the legendary Armand Zildjian. The recurring theme throughout the episode is how much Lennie loved working in the Drum Industry and with drummers, and how much he was loved by everyone who ever met him. They also talk about Lennie’s hilarious memoir, “Tales From The Cymbal Bag” which is still available through Amazon.com. Lennie passed away in March 2015. My guest is legendary bassist, Stanley Sheldon. Stanley and I do a deep dive into Peter Frampton's iconic "Do You Feel Like We Do" and compare the 1973 studio version from "Frampton's Camel" with Rick Wills on bass and Mick Gallagher on keyboards, with the live version from "Frampton Comes Alive," recorded in Plattsburgh, NY in November 1975, with Stanley on bass and the great Bob Mayo on keyboards. The great Siomos was the drummer on both versions, as well as all the classic Peter Frampton songs.

Stanley shares the story of auditioning for Peter Frampton in his hotel room in Los Angeles, meeting John Siomos and Bob Mayo for the first time at rehearsal at SIR in New York and the legendary rhythm section he and John created in Peter Frampton's band, and much more! Becoming a professional musician at age 13, which led to an incredible career, recording and performing with Allan Holdsworth, Jack Bruce, Jeff Beck, Billy Cobham, Level 42 to name a few. Gary reflected on his long history with legendary guitarist Allan Holdsworth and how that led to his current project, “The Trackers." Gary and I recall Zildjian’s Tribute to Ginger Baker in 2008 where he played keyboards in the house band, along with Simon Phillips, Tony Levin and Keith Carlock. Pete was a longtime faculty member of the renown Drummers Collective in New York. Jeff “Tain” Watts, Kenwood Dennard, Rob Wallis, Jason Gianni, Tobias Ralph, Andy Sanesi and Cherie Dennard shared wonderful and touching stories, as well as comments on behalf of legendary drummers and friends, Vinnie Colaiuta and Bob Moses, who were unable to join. My guest is former sports agent turned concert promoter, manager, and Founder/CEO of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, David Fishof. David shares stories of his illustrious career in the music business, including reuniting the Monkees in 1986 for their 20th Anniversary Tour, one of the highest grossing tours that year. The first Ringo Starr All Star Band Tour in 1989, which led to working with Ringo for 15 years, to his concept and creation of the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in 1997. David is the first non-drummer on Live From My Drum Room, but he knows and has worked with the who’s who of drummers with Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp for the past 25 years, and shares many great and often hilarious stories. John and David also discuss the 2021 documentary “Rock Camp: The Movie” streaming on Amazon Prime.
