Eines seiner bekanntesten Werke, "Die verlorene Ehre der Katharina Blum" erschien 1974 als Reaktion auf seine Erfahrungen im Zusammenhang mit dieser Affäre. I am a native Spanish speaker, and I absolutely found this book to be useful and a must-have for those who want to learn Spanish and are planning to travel to a Spanish-speaking country. The book starts with the basics (Hi, My name is, etc. â) and finishes with complex phrases that will help you make complete sentences and establish coherent conversations. I enjoyed that the book also contains how to pronounce each word! Spanish is quite complicated, and I think this book does a great job at summarizing essential words and phrases that will help you communicate clearly. There were some words and phrases that I found to be incorrect. Essentially the words were correctly translated but the context in which the word was been used was incorrect (Esta/Este, Esa/Ese, etc). However, it was a very small portion of the book. As a native Spanish speaker, I recommend this book. Great for learning for learning quick phrases and long term use! I have taken Spanish for about four years and this book really helps to recall and communicate with phrases I don't know or can't think of in that moment, especially when traveling. I actually feel calm and I really like that you can search for a word or phrase which helps you find what you're looking for easily. It also helps with pronunciation of the phrase which I haven't seen in other travel books so that's very useful too. Three Stars It was helpful

Diese vermag es, durch bloße Berührung Totes lebendig zu machen und Lebendiges zu töten. Die schöne Lilie hat den Tod ihres geliebten Kanarienvogels zu betrauern und der Jüngling richtet sich selbst durch die freiwillige Berührung der schönen Lilie, die er liebt. Um beide zu retten, opfert sich die grüne Schlange auf. Aus ihren Überresten entsteht eine dauerhafte Brücke über den Fluss. Außerdem setzt sich der unterirdische Tempel in Bewegung, unterquert den Fluss und steigt am gegenüberliegenden Flussufer auf und nimmt die Hütte des Fährmanns als Altar in sich auf. Der Jüngling wird zum König ernannt und nimmt die schöne Lilie zu seiner Frau. In a few words, I'll try to describe my experience with Automatic Fluency Spanish I program 1 of I think 20 programs. Basically 8 hours of Spanish, all translated English Spanish. Goes fast, very fast. But the beginning of the program explains the concept of the Automatic Fluency approach or system or whatever they call it. In a nutshell, they want you to listen to a lot of Spanish, then practice it for memory and accent, then review it, use it, create with it out loud, etc... My impressions from the 2 weeks ago when I started the program to now is that nothing compares with this in terms of real fluency training. I say that because I have learned to speak and understand more Spanish from these past two weeks than in a lifetime of studying the language. The narrator says that the problem with most Spanish programs is that they are "pattern rich and vocabulary poor". Even though I initially felt overwhelmed with new vocabulary, I have to admit that he's right. I would never achieve fluency with the other programs and classes I have used. Some of the passages are astonishingly vivid, for example when the protagonist improvises an organ piece that is his lifeâs masterwork. For a someone whoâs not a native German speaker, itâs a challenging read. Schneider uses many antique words and words that are peculiar to Austria and Switzerland. Often I couldnât find them in my Wahrig Kompaktwörterbuch (which actually isnât very compact) nor in Duden online. Considerably harder to read than a typical Krimi, but more rewarding. Schwer zu lesen, aber möglich mit Bemühung Vor fast fünfzig Jahre (1966-67) habe ich deutsch auf der Universität Wien studiert. Seit dann habe ich nicht viele Gelegenheiten gehabt (noch gesucht) deutsch zu sprechen. Doch ist es mir möglich gewesen mit Bemühung diesen tragischen Roman zu lesen und verstehen. Nachdem lies ich ihn auch auf englisch. Was für eine berührende Erzählung ist sie! One of my favorite books of all time One of my favorite books of all time. Even reading it again after 26 years it still leaves me depply touched. The story of Johannes Elias Alder is a great example to push for greatness in everything and everyone.
