The Doug E Fresh Bank Slalom celebrated its 10th anniversary this past March and we are honored to be joined by Brad Compton and Rhen Lyden for this episode.  Brad is the boss man of the Doug E Fresh and also handles all things for the Ski Shack Snowboard Team.  Rhen Lyden is the manager of the Ski Shack in Hayden, ID and has been a vital part of the bank slalom for many years!  The Doug E Fresh event is one you have to check out if you are a snowboarder.  Every year the vibes are all time and the message behind this great event is one you won't want to miss.  Enjoy this special edition of LTS and thank you as always for tuning in!

Growing up in Virginia, Jack Hottinger did not know much about big mountain riding!  It is safe to say that has changed withing the last 5 years.  His first experience on the west coast was visiting his brothers in Salt Lake City and seeing the steep shadows of the Wasatch Range!  Jack is now a staple of the Schweitzer community.  He has immersed himself withing our community in North Idaho and has been a Snowboard Instructor at Schweitzer for the last three seasons.  To say his progression is unreal would be an understatement.  Jack has taken on a role with Snowboard Norwest as a coach and is mentoring the next generation of all time riders here in our area!  Huge thanks to Jack for joining the podcast and to the listeners for your support!

Get Ready! We have a straight up legend joining us for this episode of LTS!  Pete Alport is an OG within the Snowboard and Ski Community! Justin Kisielewski aka @le_joose is our guest this week on Let's Talk Snowboarding!  To say Justin lives a full adventure filled life would be an understatement!  Justin has been a part of the Mountain Vibez family since one of our very first charity events at Keystone in Colorado, which is also the state that he calls home.  When he isn't in the backcountry ripping gnarly lines on his splitboard or shredding dirt on his mountain bike, Justin works for months at a time at sea as a chief engineer for cargo ships.  He sees the world in all seasons and lives life to the fullest. What an incredible conversation we had with this week's guest on Let's Talk Snowboarding! Kruz Robles is a Swiss Army Knife in our industry. Spending his early years in Southern California Kruz's family made the move quickly in his youth to North Idaho. Growing up with two brothers who are talented in their own right as well, Kruz has been in the mountains for many years. When he isn't out ripping the resort, diving into the backcountry, or creating content for his media company @lbkfilms. You can find Kruz doing his part to spread stoke and create an amazing experience for guests at Schweitzer guest services. During the summer, Kruz has been an essential part of the Panhandle Bike Ranch, this is going to be the premier freestyle mountain bike park in North Idaho and beyond! We talk everything from his upbringing and his brothers to how passionate he is to film and photograph the legends around the area! Born and raised in North Idaho our guest this week been a staple within the snowboarding community for years.  Chad Warren is a name that people know within our community.  Growing up in the Rathdrum area, Chad discusses his roots and introduction into Snowboarding.  As we all know, most Winters we have a fair amount of snow here locally (fingers crossed we end this winter better than it has started) and Chad started off like all of us messing around wherever he could find a spot to slide.  We get into his time with the Ski Shack snowboard team and some great stories and banter about team trips and chilling with the homies at our local mountains here in North Idaho.  Needless to say, Chad knows how to send it!  From shredding, to being a Carpenter by trade, to being awesome as a dad and getting out to shred with his family Chad lives life to the fullest and his energy is a vibe.  We are so stoked to get to chat with him and stoked to get out on the mountain to take some laps!  Thank you to all of you, the listeners, for your support and taking the time to tune in!  Hope you enjoy this week's episode!

Growing up in the Tri Cities area of southeast Washington there are few and far between places to Snowboard.  With Bluewood Mountain being the closest resort, our guest this week, Kyle Suhadolnik aka @nwskateflake got his start like most of us skateboarding.  Kyle started to enjoy sliding on snow as he continued to grow up and needless to say his move to Mount Hood was a no brainer.  Kyle has engrained himself within the community at Hood and is definitely a name that is known!  We talk about everything from his passion of filming and supporting the snowboard community to how his life has changed forever being a new dad.  It was great to banter with Kyle about what it means to be a Snowboarder to our core and all the great vibes at Mama Hood!  Thank you to everyone for tuning in!

This is our second episode of Gear Talk on Let's Talk Snowboarding. We are so stoked to be chatting about bindings this week! As we all know the Step On and Fase bindings are the new products that many riders within our sport are interested and excited about, especially those beginners getting into the sport. We talk about the functionality and ease of use on these particular bindings while also discussing what we are stoked on with the traditional two strap bindings within the market. As always, Gear Talk is recorded at the Ski Shack in Hayden, Idaho and this week we have the main man, Rhen Lyden as well as Ski Shack OG Noah Lewis providing their expertise! The crew at Ski Shack have been providing expertise in sales and service in the Snowboarding and Ski industry for 50 years! You could say that Clint Tosland is a man of many talents. We prefer to call him an all-around weapon! Clint grew up in Olympia, WA and his family seemed to find themselves at Schweitzer Mountain at least once a year. Growing up and visiting this amazing mountain he decided after high school to start his college years at Gonzaga. The plan was simple, study during the week and shred Schweitzer on the weekends with the homies. He found that getting friends to make the drive was harder than expected. Clint decided to transfer to a different school where his peers shared his love of skiing and mountain biking. He ended up in Bellingham, WA at Western Washington University. He was so stoked to be with friends that he could ride Mount Baker within the Winter and tear up the legendary MTB trails in the summer! After College, Clint had a good job but decided that it just did not allow enough time for him to pursue his passions. He ended up starting a YouTube channel and an Outerwear brand (Tosland Techwear) while also making the leap and moving to the Sandpoint area so he could be back where his love for skiing began at Schweitzer! We are so stoked to get to chat with Clint and know the listeners will be stoked on this episode of LTS!
