Hello my name is Malik Self and I am a 27 year old from Upper Marlboro Maryland. I have a 4 year old son who will be 5 November 1st. I am also a fiance but will be getting married on December 6 2024. By the time we do this show I will be 28. My birthday is on September 27th. Growing up I always wanted to be in the NFL. I played sports as a 10 year old all the way through college. I now work in education as a career coach at Crofton high school. I have a passion for working with the youth and teaching them how to become young successful men at an earlier age than I did. As well as being a follower of Jesus Christ. I grew up in a household and family where we have always been in church and believing in God. I recently grew my own relationship with him last summer.

Well we had a great time tonight speaking about all topics of sports and our brother dropped in with us Deuce The Disciple,

My mission is one of utmost importance and that mission is this; to bring honor and glory to the Name Above All Names, JESUS!!

My life has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but the testimony God has built through it, words cannot truly describe. Before Christ, I was on the path to self destruction. From drugs, to violence, and gang membership, it seemed as if I were destined to die in my sin, and after 27 career arrests, it appeared that I would never change my ways.

BUT GOD!!!

Had a great time on the show last night we sat down with Angee From the B and Pat Nash of Pat Nash Talks and spoke about Unity in the Community and what that means for Level Up Nation.

First of all we would like to thank Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who truly is the reason that we are here and able to do this and all of our CD projects as well as all things. It is Him that has given us the gifting to be able to write, sing and rap to glorify His Holy, Righteous and Faithful Name.  Lord, You have favored us with Your grace, and mercy

And have kept us all these years, and for that we are forever grateful!  When others saw the absolute worst in us, You saw the very best. You looked beyond our faults and saw our need and our treasures. Father God, all praises, glory, honor and power belongs to You!

Overcoming adversity is nothing new to Dr. Kyri . Born and raised in the Red Hook Projects of Brooklyn, New York, where opportunity and vision for the future were often concealed by life’s circumstances, Dr. Kyri was determined to create a better life for herself.

Dr. Kyri pursued a career in medicine, meeting the needs of her patients in the scope of infectious disease.

Unexpectedly, her life changed when she was diagnosed with a rare Stage 4 Ewing Sarcoma. This menacing cancer threatened to destroy her right pelvic wall and lymph nodes. The prognosis was poor. Her treatment plan was not “normal.” To eradicate the sarcoma Dr. Kyri endured intense consistent 5-7 daychemotherapy and was infused nonstop 80-120 hours at a time. After chemotherapy she endured a Proton Radiation Therapy for 6 consecutive weeks during the height of COVID-19.  She was in the fight of her life, for her life.

Dr. Kyri faced her diagnosis head-on and fought courageously against the disease. On May 22, 2020, she heard the words she longed to hear. “Dr. Kyri, you are in REMISSION.”

After more than a decade, her vision of creating Organic Gourmet Kookies, with a Hug In Every Bite was made a reality.  Years of friends, clients and co-workers saying, “stop giving them away and start selling the Kookies” was the encouragement she needed. In June of 2021 Kyri’s Kookies relaunched and in December 2022, Dr. Kyri opened her doors to the public with Kyri’s Kookies’ first store in Dallas, Georgia.

Dr. Kyri is an inspiration to many and serves as a reminder that with giving, gratitude and generosity, anything is possible. Dr. Kyri is preparing for the November 3rd launch, an  onlinesegment on Level Up Nation, named “ Dr. Kyri Listens” Where she believes Healing begins with being Heard.

Tonight we sat down with Foreward Nation and he broke down his lyrics to his track Homage, it’s out on all Digital platforms.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and Delaware. Just a young man that was lost searching for identity. Joined the military. Served for 20 years in the midst of that God saved my soul. Blessed me with a family life, went thru many different trails and tribulations. Lost sight of Christ and now I am redeemed back to the Kingdom thru repentance. True repentance.

I always had an eye for fashion. I would often help my friends put outfits together at school, parties, and teenage hangouts. Fashion is my passion, and I always had an eye for it. I would help my friends put outfits together for many occasions, school, parties, and teenager hangouts, and they always asked for my advice and loved every idea of putting their pieces together. However, I would not do it for myself because I dealt with low self-esteem and a lack of confidence throughout middle and high  school.

CHH artist God's Disciple grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and at a young age, he was selling drugs, stealing cars, gangbanging, robbing, going to prison, and pimping. Getting shot in the face before 2004, his life looked hopeless with no future, but Christ saved him from himself. Being a street minister, he has been put in jail for spreading the gospel, and guns have been pulled on him for spreading the gospel. This walk requires courage and trust in Christ in all situations because it's not easy, but with Christ, all things are possible. #keepitkingdom

Darnell Shawn Gatling, also known as Just Gat, is an American Gospel rapper and singer. He has shared his music at various events nationwide, including youth events, outreaches, and church gatherings. Just Gat was born in Compton, California, on November 30, 1984. At nine months old, he and his two brothers were found alone in a hotel room, and he was placed in a group home at the age of four after being separated from his siblings. At the group home, Gat developed a bond with a staff member named Elise Gatling, who introduced him to Jesus Christ. Elise, a professional drummer, mentored Gat and helped him nurture his musical talent. At nine, Gat composed his first song, "Jesus the One I Love," and decided to create music for Jesus. When he was eleven, Elise officially became Gat's mother and guided him in the word of God, providing a strong foundation for his faith. Driven by his passion for Jesus, Gat became a dedicated missionary, using his music to spread the gospel. However, he faced challenges in his relationship with his mother as he grew older, leading to estrangement and rejection. This led him away from the church and towards the streets. A life-threatening situation brought him back to his faith. After serving in the Navy and getting married, Gat retired and moved to Florida. He pursued his education and earned degrees in Forensic Investigations and Crime Scene Technology before becoming a Police Officer. After three years in the force, unforeseen health issues led to his resignation, and he also went through a divorce. Gat later moved to Iowa, where he found happiness through music and his renewed faith. He married Tina Gatling, and his relationship with his mother also improved. Gat remains dedicated to his music, driven by his passion for God and his desire to share the true Gospel with others. Despite facing challenges, Gat's faith in God's presence and guidance empowers him to overcome obstacles and achieve his goals.

Bertrand McKinney

Bertrand "BERTY" McKinney is a Gospel Hip Hop artist, writer, producer and A/R for the We All 1 Records label as well as 1 of the hosts of Let's Talk Gospel. BERTY, which stands for Baptized Enlightened Redeemed Trusting Yahweh, was born in New Orleans, La and raised in Tylertown, Ms by his father and mother. Growing up, God was always a part of his life, and church was a common thing in their household. The village that raised BERTY helped him to learn of God, but he realized that he didn’t really know God until he progressed further into adulthood.

During this journey, BERTY started to date and fall in love hard with almost every relationship he had. After one bad break up, BERTY contemplated committing suicide until his aunt, who he hadn’t spoken to in months, called him and said, “God told me to tell you that he loves you and don’t do it”. At that moment, BERTY knew that God had never left him and that he had allowed the world to sidetrack him. He decided to move forward by letting the world go and recommitting his life back to God through his music.

BERTY has been rapping for over 20 years now and has appeared on Dr. Bobby Jones presents, The Impact Network, and The SOAR Awards, to name a few. His music can be perceived as inspiring testimony with songs that highlight his growing relationship with God, life lessons and motivation to keep going. BERTY has shared the stage with some of Gospels biggest talents. His debut single titled “Miracle” featured Wess Morgan, and his studio album Altar Ego is available on all streaming platforms
