Tracie is the Chief Executive Officer at Beyond Autism. She has a wealth of leadership and management experience within the field of special educational needs and disability; she worked for Scope for over 20 years, where she held two headships and ultimately rose to the position of Regional Director for the South of England.

Previously, Tracie was Executive Head of the Autism Schools Trust, where she led on setting up a Free School. 

Tracie has experience in developing early years provision, establishing outreach and training services, providing strategic leadership to schools and developing post-19 and adult services.

About Chris Sherwood:

Chris joined the NSPCC in January 2025 from the RSPCA, where he had served as CEO since 2018.

He was previously CEO of Relate, having been promoted from Director of Policy and External Affairs, and has also held senior roles at Nesta and Scope.

With over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector, Chris is a trustee of NCVO and Chair of The Charity Awards. He has served on several boards, including the World Federation for Animals, Eurogroup for Animals and the Centre for Ageing Better.

In 2025, he was recognised by Attitude magazine as one of its 101 LGBTQ Trailblazers.
