Phantom Equity with Raleigh Williams13 Feb 202500:27:08

Raleigh Williams is one of my favorite people. Not a stranger to the show, 2nd time at least but he always packed in so much value. He’s bought, scaled, sold so many businesses. AND my favorite part of Raleigh is him betting on himself years ago after dropping down a pretty penny on a law degree. Raleigh walked away from a huge attorney career and salary to live life on his own terms.

We dive into Phantom Equity though.

Phantom Equity!

That’s it. Could be a game changer for many. Consult your attorney.

Funding an Acquisition between $200-$400k24 Mar 202200:08:57

One of the most common questions I get is how to fund a business between the ranges of $200k and $400k.

There aren't great options here because most banks won't loan on this amount, an unproven business sometimes, may not be big enough to support you, etc.

Here are a few options though.

1. Save up. This can take awhile.
2. SBA from a local bank. Has to be local.
3. Find an investor on good terms, make it interesting to them.
4. Short term debt (I'M NOT A FAN OF THIS and don't recommend it)
5. Seller note
6. Find a new sweet spot in terms of price range.
