An Untroubled Heart w/ Kara Stout16 Jul 202500:57:25

This week on the Let Me Ask You This Podcast, I sit down with my new precious friend, Kara Stout. Kara released her book, An Untroubled Heart, this past April and it's a beautiful book of prayers coupled with pieces of her story that speaks to believer wrestling with anxiety. I loved this conversation for so many reasons but what stands out the most is the beautiful way Kara shares her story and then invites listeners to pray scripture over their lives.

Together we explore the rhythms that keep anxiety from narrating her story, and how she discerns the difference between a life that’s full and one that’s fraying. We talk about the fear of surrender, and how Scripture became her steady place in anxious moments. For the listener who feels shame for being anxious—even while deeply loving Jesus—Kara offers grace, wisdom, and a gentle reminder: peace isn’t the absence of trouble, it’s the presence of a Person.

Be sure to grab her book An Untroubled Heart here!

Chasing Sacred w/ Mikella Van Dyke15 May 202500:47:30

What happens when the Word of God moves from something we study to something we savor?

Today on the Let Me Ask You This podcast, we’re joined by my scripture-loving, truth-speaking, fiercely faithful friend, Mikella Van Dyke—author of Chasing Sacred and founder of the women’s discipleship ministry by the same name. Mikella is someone who doesn’t just read the Bible, she runsssss toward it. And in a world of half-truths and spiritual apathy, its beautifully refreshing.

In this episode, Mikella breaks open the beauty of engaging with Scripture, walking us through how to anchor our emotions in truth, how to study the Bible when we’re tired or distracted, and why discipleship is not just for the few, but for you.

Fighting for Motherhood w/ Liz Mannchen08 May 202500:55:25

In this episode, I sit down with my longtime friend, Liz Mannchen—someone I inherited through the miracle of adoption. Together, we’ve walked roads paved with joy, heartbreak, and a whole lot of holy surrender.

We talk about what it’s like to say yes to adoption again and again... even after doors close. We talk about the ache of failed placements, the courage it takes to keep hoping, and what surrender really looks like when your heart is set on becoming a mother.

If you’ve ever wrestled with the tension between calling and timing or if you’re holding a dream that feels just out of reach—this one’s for you.

Be sure to check out all the beautiful things Liz and her husband Uli are creating through Live As Lions and follow along as they keep building something sacred out of surrender.

Journey into Humility w/ Eniola Abioye01 May 202501:03:07

In this heartfelt and honest conversation, I sit down with my friend Eniola Abioye—a missionary with Circuit Riders, a worshipper, a spiritual big sister to so many, and a woman deeply acquainted with the voice of God. Eniola’s life radiates contagious joy and deep obedience, and in this episode, she brings both to the table as we unpack something we all wrestle with at some point: insecurity.

What do we do as disciples of Jesus when insecurity creeps in? When our minds feel clouded with doubt, and our hearts start to shrink back from the call of God on our lives? Eniola offers not only wisdom, but presence—reminding us that the antidote to insecurity is not just confidence, but intimacy with the One who called us in the first place.

This episode is for the one who knows the assignment but feels a little shaky in the doing of it. For the one who loves Jesus but still sometimes wonders, “Am I enough?” And for the one who needs a friend to speak courage back into the bones.

I’m so grateful for Eniola’s voice, her life, and the stories she shares here. You will be, too.

Loyal in His Love w/ Tabitha Panariso24 Apr 202500:50:33

In today’s tender and truth-filled episode, I’m joined by trauma-informed counselor and debut author, Tabitha Panariso, as we gently unpack a topic so many of us carry quietly: rejection.

Tabitha’s new book, Loyal in His Love, is a sacred companion for those navigating the ache of feeling left behind, misunderstood, or unseen—especially in the context of friendship. Together, we explore the unique sting of friendship breakups and why those relational wounds often cut deeper than we expect.

With grace, wisdom, and a lived understanding of heartache, Tabitha invites us to consider: What does God’s loyalty look like when others walk away? How do we heal when friendships don’t end the way we hoped? And what does it mean to remain soft-hearted in a world that often hardens us?

Whether you’ve felt ghosted, grieved a shifting friendship, or are still healing from something unspoken and unresolved—this episode is for you. Tabitha’s words will meet you like a warm blanket, a deep breath, and a reminder: you’re not alone.

I loved this conversation—and I know you will too!

A Life Poured Out w/ Ebie + Zac Hepworth17 Apr 202501:12:47

In this deeply personal episode, Ebie shares the exciting news of her first book deal—a sacred unfolding that has been a genuine gift. But more than just an announcement, this conversation with Zac pulls back the curtain on the journey to get here. Ebie reflects on how Zac’s quiet, steady obedience created the space for her own, and how behind every “yes” is often a thousand unseen sacrifices.

As Holy Week unfolds, we look to the life of Jesus—not just His resurrection, but the road He walked there. A life marked by obedience, even when it included suffering. Even when the outcome was unknown. Even when the crowd turned quiet.

We talk about what it means to live a faith that is beautifully countercultural. To be the kind of people who don’t just talk about Jesus, but host Him—who create space in our homes, our dreams, and our plans to say, “You’re welcome here. Have it all.”

  1. Listen to the Tim Keller message that we referenced in this episode.

Freed By Truth w/ Deangelo Moss10 Apr 202500:43:11

On this episode of Let Me Ask You This, we sit down with Deangelo Moss, founder of Freed by Truth—a powerful ministry dedicated to walking alongside believers battling sexual addiction. With honesty and deep compassion, Deangelo shares pieces of his own journey, offering hope to anyone who has ever felt stuck in shame or silence.

He reminds us that this is a conversation that’s far easier to avoid—but far too important to ignore. In a culture where sexual addiction is increasingly common, Deangelo’s voice breaks through the noise with truth, grace, and a roadmap to freedom. As he puts it, his “mess became his message,” and now he’s helping others find the same healing he’s experienced.

Whether you personally struggle or know someone who does, this episode is a lifeline. Freedom is possible—and it doesn’t have to be walked alone.

Please note: Addiction is deeply nuanced and personal. What Deangelo shares is his experience and testimony—it may not reflect every story or every healing path. We acknowledge that the journey toward freedom can look different for everyone. But we hold tightly to this truth: you were crafted to walk in a life of wholeness.

Old Soul, New Creation w/ Jake Weidmann03 Apr 202500:46:03

In this episode of Let Me Ask You This, we sit down with one of the world’s seven master penmen, Jake Weidmann, to dive deep into the heart behind his debut book, Old Soul, New Creation. With poetic reverence and wisdom beyond his years, Jake shares what it means to be an artist shaped by the Spirit yet moved by tradition.

From the ancient rhythms of craftsmanship to the spiritual threads woven through his creative process, Jake invites us into a space where art, faith, and legacy meet. We talk about what it means to create from a place of conviction and how honoring the old can give birth to something profoundly new.

Jake and his lovely wife Hannah are not only the co-hosts of the new podcast Made to Last, but also the visionaries behind Everyday Heirloom—a brand devoted to curating pieces that are meaningful, beautiful, and built to last. Together, they are cultivating a life of artistry, intentionality, and eternal perspective.

Dreams + Desires w/ Allina Kay27 Mar 202501:07:30

In this episode, I sit down with my dear friend Allina Kay—an American missionary whose “yes” to Ukraine has stirred something deep in me for years.

Together, we unpack what it looks like to follow Jesus into a war-torn nation, and the sacred tension of saying yes to one dream while holding space for the ones that haven’t come to pass. We talk about the cost of calling, the ache of surrender, the nuance of dating as a single missionary overseas, and the beauty that can be found even in the middle of broken places.

Allina's life is a testimony to faithfulness in the unseen and courage in the unknown. Whether you’re navigating transition, holding hope for what hasn’t come yet, or wondering if your small yes matters—this conversation is for you.

All The Things I Say To God w/ Tanner Olson21 Mar 202500:47:57

In this episode of Let Me Ask You This, I sit down with poet and author Tanner Olson (@writtentospeak) to talk about his new children's book, All the Things I Say to God: Learning to pray anytime, anywhere. This book is a beautiful reminder that, as God's children, we are invited to bring everything—our joys, worries, dreams, and doubts—before Him.

While this book is written for children, its message is for all of us. We unpack the heart behind the book, the power of childlike faith, and the way prayer shapes our relationship with God.

Tanner also shares a deeply personal part of his journey—his and his wife's experience with infertility, their path toward adoption, and the ways God revealed Himself in the waiting. If you've ever wrestled with trusting God in seasons of uncertainty, this conversation will encourage you.

A Fully Surrendered Life w/ Angela Halili13 Mar 202501:00:28

In this episode of Let Me Ask You This, we sit down with my girl Angela Halili, cohost of the Girls Gone Bible podcast, for a powerful conversation about surrender and living a life fully yielded to the Lord. Angela shares her story—how God radically transformed her heart and called her into deeper intimacy with Him.

Whether you’re wrestling with surrender or longing to grow in intimacy with God, this episode with Angela will stir your heart toward deeper devotion. I pray that this conversation remind you that there is nothing more beautiful than a heart fully given to Jesus.

Tender & True w/ Emma Cooke10 Jul 202500:55:38

In this week's episode, I got to sit down with Emma Cooke, a pastor and counselor at Hillsong Church in Australia, to explore what it means to lead when a lot of our life is filled with hurt. Together we unpack the tension of showing up for others when we are surrounded by pain in our own lives and how holy vulnerability might be one of the most powerful forms of leadership.

Emma shares how motherhood, ministry, and pain have shaped her leadership in unexpected ways. She opens up about rhythms that rescued her, the whispers of Jesus in her lowest moments, and how God gently rebuilds us through honesty, not performance. If you're leading in any capacity with a tired heart—this conversation will bless you!!

It’s Time to Talk to Your Kids About Porn w/ Greta Eskridge07 Mar 202500:45:54

In this episode of Let Me Ask You This, I sit down with my lovely friend Greta Eskridge to unpack her latest book, It’s Time to Talk to Your Kids About Porn: A Guide to Helping Children and Teens Develop Sexual Integrity. This is the kind of book nobody wants to have to write, but I’m so grateful that Greta did.

We dive into why these conversations are essential for raising kids with integrity in a culture that normalizes pornography. Greta shares her heart behind writing this book, offering parents a roadmap to engage in these discussions from a place of hope rather than fear. We also explore what the role of the church can play in equipping families to navigate these tough but necessary conversations.

Greta has provided a wealth of resources to support parents on this journey—be sure to check them out below!

  1. For wives walking through the pain of a spouse’s porn use or addiction, I highly recommend this book and this organization for guidance.
  2. For those seeking recovery support, this ministry offers incredible resources for men struggling with addiction and for wives facing betrayal trauma.

In this episode of Let Me Ask You This, I sit down with Tori Hope Petersen to unpack the heart of her latest book, Breaking the Patterns That Break You. We dive deep into the power of mentorship, the importance of taking inventory of our lives to break generational cycles, and so much more.

Healing is a choice—if we don’t deal with our trauma, it will transfer, impacting future generations. This episode is an invitation to honesty, healing, and stepping into the fullness of who God made us to be.

Obedience is Devotion w/ Zac Hepworth21 Feb 202500:58:51

SEASON THREE PREMIER BABY! Can't believe we are here! And with who else than my darling husband, Zac Hepworth?!

In this season three premiere of Let Me Ask You This, we dive deep into the connection between obedience and devotion. True devotion isn’t just about outward expressions of faith—it begins with loving the Lord first, and from that place, stepping out as His church. God has been inviting our family into a deeper intimacy with Him, a kind of devotion that requires a fresh and new level of trust and surrender. But what happens when obedience leads us away from comfort, or even distances us from those we love?

We wrestle with the emotions that come with obedience—fear, uncertainty, and the cost of following where God leads. Yet, at the heart of it all, devotion means giving ourselves fully to the Lord before anything else. From that surrender flows a life connected to Jesus, one that is willing to say yes—no matter what. If you’ve ever struggled with what obedience looks like in your own walk with God, this episode is for you.

God's Child w/ Brenna Blain11 Oct 202400:56:31

Season 2 episode 18 on the Let Me Ask You This podcast is with my girl Brenna Blain. Brenna wrote a recently released and AMAZING book called 'Can I Say That?' and when I say I engulfed this book up in one sitting, I really did! I listened to the entire thing on a plane ride home and was in tears. The vulnerability of her story and the way she invites Jesus into the hard questions is such a breath of fresh air! In this episode we unravel the concept of suffering, community, mental health, same sex attraction, and the journey of inviting Jesus to reign in your life. I value this friends voice and walked away from this conversation so refreshed and inspired and I know you will too!

I wanted this episode to be more of a dialogue about real life instead of unraveling Brenna's story and so if you're here and want to hear more about Brenna's story here is a great podcast she recently recorded with Jackie Hill + Tyler Perry that you should listen too. Her story is raw, real, and has the fingerprints of Jesus all over it.

We talk through decision fatigue, the adrenaline of cliff jumping, moving as a single person, and saying goodbye to a good thing in hopes of discovering a great thing. We hope you enjoy this episode!

Obedience > Opporunity w/ Masey Mclain19 Jun 202500:58:18

In this deeply honest and hope-filled episode, we sit down with my friend, Masey Mclain, a lovely woman whose life has quietly defied the hustle narrative. Together, we talk about the tension of choosing obedience over opportunity, how to stay anchored when the industry wants to shape your story, and what it looks like to root yourself in who God says you are—even when the world is loud and watching.

She shares with us the behind-the-scenes wrestle of being a storyteller—whether that’s through acting, writing, or simply the way you live your life. We talk about what fuels creative courage, how to tend to your heart when vulnerability is required, and what it means to show up faithfully even when doors don’t open fast.

For anyone who’s ever felt like the dream is slow, the call is heavy, or the path is unclear, this conversation will remind you that the long road is still a worthy one.

Rest is Holy w/ Terrica Smith05 Jun 202501:06:49

This week on Let Me Ask You This, we sit down with the radiant and deeply rooted Terrica Smith!! Terrica is the founder and creative mastermind of Eden & Vine, a lifestyle publication and community that champions beauty, intentionality, and rest.

In a world spinning fast on the axis of hustle, Terrica gently calls us to slow the heck down! To see again. To remember that rest isn’t a reward for the weary but the very inheritance offered in the garden where our souls grow strong.

We unpack how Terrica’s personal journey with weariness and wilderness seasons led her to make rest the center of her work and calling, and the difference between soul rest and simply stepping away. Terrica has fought hard to cultivate a beautiful rhythm rest in her life and so this conversation really ministered to me and I know it will minster to you too!

Light in the Dark w/ Taylor Cook29 May 202500:52:18

In this episode, I sit down with one of my dearest friends, Taylor Cook—a woman whose life radiates both tenderness and strength. Taylor has spent years in the trenches of the anti-human trafficking world, walking alongside those caught in cycles of exploitation. Her story is not just one of advocacy, but of intimacy with a merciful God who met her in the broken places and called her to carry His light into the darkest corners of this world.

Taylor shares how worship fuels her work and what it means to remain a pillar of hope and mercy in an often overwhelming fight. Whether you're in a season of contending or simply need to be reminded that light still breaks through no matter where you are, I pray this conversation will meet you there.

Together, we unpack her story of navigating community, mentorship, and walking through the heartbreak of miscarriage and the ache of delayed dreams. Tracy speaks with raw tenderness and clarity, reminding us that while the road can be painful, we are never alone.

This episode doesn’t shy away from the hard things. But in every moment, we return to the unshakeable truth of the gospel: that we are seen, held, and never forgotten.
