John McGinley is a big picture visionary. At university, he committed to spending an hour every morning at 7am in prayer as he shared the gospel with those around him. Today, he leads a missional movement that gathers and sends tens of thousands of young people and catalyses church planting in the UK. He still prays at 7am each morning. Here, John shares his vision for the raising up of a generation of young people and the need for reformation in the church to support this. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, Sarah Yardley was profoundly impacted by the ministry of Chuck Smith (from the Jesus Revolution movie!) and is all about Jesus. Since then, she has left a beautiful legacy in the lives of countless young adults through mentoring them, encouraging them and spending time with them. Sarah is a thoughtful, sensitive leader with a wild appetite for fun!

Nicky Gumbel was a staunch atheist at Cambridge University in the 1970s. His friends shared the gospel with him and after a night of reading the Bible he gave his life to Jesus. 50 years later, he is reflecting back on all that God has done through in his life. In friendships, through HTB or within the global growth of Alpha, life has been extraordinary. He shares moments of joy and pain, times of unemployment and great fulfilment.

The Legacy Podcast from Fusion is about lives well-lived and a long obedience in the same direction. It is all about the long-term impact of student mission. When a student gives their life to Jesus, we join in with Heaven's celebration. But the story doesn't stop there. That fantastic moment of decision is the beginning of a complex, glorious story that goes on to influence the lives of thousands of other people. 

In each episode, Luke Smith interviews someone who's lived as a disciple of Jesus for a long time. They might have become a Christian as a student or they might have worked with students for a long time. Each one will shed light on the rich tapestry of student mission.
