How to Interview for an Instructional Design Position | 1513 Jun 202300:10:06

In this episode I talk about what you need to expect when entering into the instructional design interview process. When I began interviewing for ID positions, I was so naïve. I went on at least 10 interviews in the beginning, and many of them I never even made it past the first round. I had no clue what I was doing wrong.

Toxic Positivity: The Narcissist Traits of Education Part 5 | 902 May 202300:08:36

As a teacher there was an ever present threat to my livelihood by telling me my teaching certificate would be taken away if I didn’t stay the entire school year. Take away my teaching certificate! So that means that if I hate my job, if I am not happy with the administration at my school or district, if there are parents that I DO NOT want to deal with that year. I will have my certificate taken away. The certificate I went to school for, worked hard for, paid a lot of money for, would be taken away simply because I decide that school at that time was not right for me and I want to look for other options. Now I may be being naive right now, but I am not aware of any other profession where they can take away the certification you earned simply because you didn’t want to finish out the year at a specific location.

Jeans Day: The Narcissist Traits of Education Part 3 | 718 Apr 202300:11:13
