Do Not Ask These Questions in an English Conversation
25 Feb 2023
00:08:14
In this English lesson I'll help you learn about questions that you should never ask in English. There are certain questions that are considered rude or inappropriate in English (an in many other languages!) if asked in the wrong situations. It's important as an English learner to know when a question is impolite, rude, or considered an invasion of privacy. If someone wants to share personal information with you, they will do so on their own time, and it might be considered prying for you to ask.

Welcome to this English lesson about the verb “to do”. The verb “to do” is a bit strange. It sometimes is useful in a sentence, but sometimes it’s hard to understand why it is used. In this English class I’ll help you learn how to conjugate the verb “to do” in the most common two tenses, and how and when to use it.
The verb “to do” in the present is often used to emphasize something, like, “I do like pizza.” instead of “I like pizza.” It’s also used to correct a misperception. If someone said, “I didn’t think you liked pizza!” You could respond and say, “No, I do like pizza!”
In this English lesson I’ll try to explain some of the most common uses of “to do” including: the present to emphasize, the past, the negative, and when forming questions.
I hope this English class about the verb “to do” is helpful, and that with some practice you can master its usage! Have a great day!
