How to Collaborate as an Entrepreneurial Leader | S05E0824 Oct 202200:13:11

As women, we like to collaborate. It’s part of our makeup. However, it’s essential to know how to collaborate as an entrepreneurial leader because not all collaboration is beneficial. So in this next installment of the Leadership is Feminine Formula, we’re talking about the pluses and minuses of collaboration.

When we first start a business, most of us start out as solopreneurs. It isn’t until later that we add a team and add elements of collaboration. And as we work through this new jungle of business growth, it can be way too easy to tumble into the pitfalls. One pitfall is believing that you need others to direct your business. Another is avoiding discomfort. Another is developing an environment where everything has to pass through your hands or approval first. All of these can hinder the growth you desire and deserve. But positive, beneficial collaboration is achievable. Let’s talk about it.

“We collaborate out of scarcity. We collaborate out of believing our ideas aren’t good enough… No. It’s still yours. You always drive the result… and you are totally competent.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Journey into collaboration
  • Staying strategic
  • Embracing discomfort
  • Retaining and teaching ownership
  • Banishing Problem-Solver-in-Chief status

Women Leaders, Accountability and Self Worth | S05E0610 Oct 202200:20:42

How does your self-worth relate to accountability? As women, we often relate our responsibility in needing to hold people accountable to how we view ourselves. The negative associations of accountability have grown to the point where setting boundaries seems nearly impossible. It’s gotten so bad that some female business owners have considered just ending their businesses altogether. They’re struggling with a nearly overwhelming number of issues: people not following through, not showing up, not keeping their commitments.

But is the issue of accountability really a direct reflection of us as female entrepreneurs? No, it isn’t. The core actually comes down to how we view our own worthiness. And there are people that want to work, want to do a good job, want to be part of something amazing. They exist. You just need to find them. And you need to reframe your beliefs to embrace that you – and your business – are both worthy and worth it.

“The reason that we allow people to not fully meet the expectations that we have of them in our business is because we don’t believe we are worthy of it.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Negative associations with accountability
  • Questioning your worthiness
  • True accountability
  • Your real responsibility
  • Good people out there
  • Why you created your business
  • Stuck in the cycle of compromise

How to Hold People Accountable | S05E0503 Oct 202200:18:48

Why is holding people accountable so difficult as a female business owner? How did simply holding people accountable become associated with being bitchy? Why do not only others tend to think that but we, as women, can even think that about ourselves? It’s not right!

In this episode, I tackle the problem of holding people accountable. It seems that in today’s age, this can be harder than ever before. But it shouldn’t be. All you’re actually doing is expecting people to do what they agreed to do. It’s not unreasonable. I’ve found that the most important and impactful form of accountability is holding ourselves accountable. What do I mean by that? Let’s talk about how to hold people accountable, without anger and while showing one of the highest forms of love.

“Women, over time, learn to not hold themselves to account when other people disregard, disrespect, do not follow through on – or just ignore – a grievance.  Because they don’t want to be thought of as aggressive or bitchy… They get left out of the tribe. So what I want you to know is: You’re very welcome in my tribe.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Holding yourself accountable
  • You’re very welcome in my tribe
  • You don’t have to be mad
  • What you’re really saying when you don’t address it
  • One of the highest forms of love

How to Know if it's Time to Quit | S05E0426 Sep 202200:23:12

Finding the right people to work, especially in the last couple of years, has become very tangled. People have started new businesses, closed businesses, changed jobs, juggled an ever-changing job landscape… and so on. While experts in fields have become more scarce, many entrepreneurs have had businesses explode before they are even ready. And thus, they need help but it has been rather chaotic.

The frustration of finding enough good people has become very real. Business owners are finding what they’re seeking for their business is no longer matching what those who are skilled want. So does that mean it’s not going to work? Is it time to hang it up? Or is it time to approach and frame things differently?

“First of all, our clarity in how we design roles is critical… I need people who can think about what to do and they can actually do it... I have to hire strategists that also produce.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Where have all the experts gone?
  • Segmented help
  • People who actually know how to execute
  • The need to develop expertise
  • Identify potential

How to CEO Instead of Being a CEO | S05E0319 Sep 202200:14:12

Is CEO a noun or a verb? You may have never contemplated that question but the differences it implies are significant. What do you think of, what comes up for you internally, when you hear the word CEO? Do you have a visual in your mind of a particular person? A functional role? A personae? A specific vibe?

As we continue on our path of new and of change this season, I want to challenge your brain and your default thinking. CEO is an acronym that has, for decades, been a very masculine term and title. And, as such, has been difficult for some women to embrace. But what if we viewed “CEO” not as a noun, but rather a verb? What if it is about actions you’re taking to put your magic out into the world, to allow that magic of a business you’ve been kissed with to grow and expand?

“Whatever you choose to call yourself, my goal is always that it instills a little discomfort. And it invites you to a new level of gravitas, a new level of presence, and a bigger, bolder – but also authentic – voice in leadership.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Changing your voice and presence
  • Implications of the term CEO
  • Gravitas and out of the weeds
  • Impairing growth in the moment
  • Power and presence of CEOing

The Difference Between a Visionary Leader and an Operational Entrepreneur | S05E0212 Sep 202200:18:43

Can you be a successful entrepreneur but not a visionary? And vice versa, can you be a successful visionary but not really an entrepreneur? Perhaps before you can answer those questions, you must first decide: Are you an entrepreneur, a visionary, or both? And, most importantly, how does leadership fit into it all?

As we continue this brand new season (Season 5) of Leadership Is Feminine, I invite you to ponder these questions with me. Often, as business owners, there are questions we don’t think to ask ourselves but find if we did, we’d learn so much and find immense magic in the answers. To that end, I want to explore the difference between a visionary leader and an operational entrepreneur. Is being an entrepreneur simply the operational expression of the visionary? What is the value of being a visionary? Let’s dive in.

“When you’re a real visionary, when you really, really do see things other people don’t see, and you believe in the possibility of what you see that doesn’t exist yet, you have the potential to change the world with your vision.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Earmarks of a visionary vs an operational entrepreneur
  • Shift in perspective
  • Your ideas are the asset
  • Leave survival thinking in the past
  • Investment in yourself is never a waste

People Pleasing and Controlling Leaders | S05E0105 Sep 202200:18:55

Why do I say yes when I really want to say no? Why do women, more often than men, gravitate toward people pleasing? I found myself asking these questions and thus pondering: What do I think I’m accomplishing when I’m so agreeable? What am I actually accomplishing? To take it a step further, I pondered the reverse: What am I actually accomplishing when I’m being more controlling?

As we start Season 5 of Leadership Is Feminine, I want to focus on a time of change and some decompression from the pressures we’ve all been under. One definite source of pressure as leaders is people pleasing, as is the opposite, which I term people depleting. This is when people are demanding and controlling, so they themselves can be the one pleased. An interesting fact is that we can find ourselves on either side, depending on the issue and circumstances. But no matter what side we’re on, we can help mitigate the resulting pressure when we better understand people pleasing and controlling as leaders.

“You’re saying yes… not to please the other person. You’re saying yes… because you don’t want to experience your own discomfort of saying no… So who are we really pleasing in the moment? And are we really pleasing anybody?” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • People pleasing and people depleting
  • Who we’re really pleasing
  • Delighting people instead
  • Pleasing ourselves through control
  • How either approach affects our business
  • Taking personal responsibility
  • Handling our own discomfort

Quiet Quitting for Small Business | S04E1429 Aug 202200:19:14

There’s a current phenomenon called “quiet quitting”. As business owners, we need to be aware of trends like this because they can potentially affect us. In particular, this approach to life is being promoted by Gen Zs but anyone could jump onboard with it.

So what exactly is “quiet quitting” and how can small businesses prepare for its possible impact? In this episode, I explore generational differences, the quiet quitting movement, post-pandemic mental health, clear expectations, having regard for others, and more. How does this all tie together and what might it mean for you and your growing business, lovely CEO? Let’s talk about it.

“We do have the least prepared workforce… I do not say that to be disparaging. I say that because that is true... There is more responsibility now than ever on employers to help people learn what it means to work. And also to work with balance.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Generational differences
  • The quiet quitting movement
  • Post-pandemic mental health
  • Honesty, clear expectations, and quality communication
  • Find balance and lead well because we need each other

Women Who've Sold Their Business: Andrea Wagner | E17015 Jul 202400:42:12

In the past 20 years, there has been a wave of women-owned businesses, and women selling those businesses. However, no one is really talking about it. In this mini series, host Kris Plachy is bringing women business owners on to talk about their experiences of selling their businesses. In this episode of Leadership is Feminine, Kris talks with Andrea Wagner,PhD. Andrea shares her story and lessons she has learned throughout almost 15 years of starting and selling businesses.

Andrea brings a lot of insight to this conversation on topics such as acquiring funding, identifying market indicators, and how crucial it is to surround yourself with co-founders that have skills which compliment your own. She also talks about her latest projects, Lux Lined and Herizon Funding.

This conversation doesn’t just focus on business advice. Andrea also shares what it was like to experience the emotional journey of selling. Unlike the previous guests in this miniseries, Andrea did not stay on for any transitional period after the close of the sale, and she details what that felt like.

The conversation then turns to the need for more badass women in sales, technical, and financial roles with Kris highlighting an important moment when Andrea leveraged the skills of women in her network without feeling like she had to DIY every aspect of a new business venture. As Andrea perfectly illustrates, "Just do it and move onto your next great thing."

Brace yourself for an episode jam-packed with wisdom, wit, warmth, and women empowerment.

Who to Hire in the Messy Middle of your Entrepreneur Journey | S04E1322 Aug 202200:22:16

If you’re juggling the questions of “When should I hire?” or “Who should I hire?” – let me help guide you. The answers to those questions are completely tied to the answer to a question that should come first. That is, “What phase of growth is your business in?”

This episode idea sprouted from help I’ve been giving to many regarding hiring and two recent Live Coaching with Kris episodes. As we navigate what I call the “Messy Middle” in building an entrepreneurial business, we need help but getting the right kind of help, at the right time, is absolutely crucial. If you hire the incorrect people during the a phase, you can actually lose touch and control of your own business. Please don’t let that happen. Let’s talk about who to hire in the messy middle of your entrepreneur journey.

“Learn how to manage. Anybody could work for you then. It’s fine. If you learn how to manage. But otherwise, you set yourself up where you don’t have control of so much of your business.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Phases and stages of business
  • Correct help in the Messy Middle
  • Correct help in the Established Phase

What position should I hire first for my growing business? | S04E1215 Aug 202200:32:43

As your business grows, you’re going to need help. You can’t build your queendom all alone. But what position should you hire first for your growing business? Should you hire someone to match your work and share the load? Should you hire an assistant to perform numerous tasks? Should you hire someone to complete just specific projects? Is there a way to know what the best choice is?

For this episode of Live Coaching with Kris, I tackle this inevitable growth question. My guest listener has grown her business to the point where she needs help but isn’t sure which position to fill first. She feels she doesn’t have enough revenue to hire more than one person but desperately needs help in more than one area. Together, we discuss the pros and cons of each type of hire, discuss the process of narrowing down hiring options, and ultimately, look at potential solutions in a whole different light.

“It does pay off… You’ve got to think about this as an investment… And you might have to kiss a few frogs. That’s part of the deal too. Just keep going.” – Kris Plachy

  • Drafting detailed descriptions
  • Calculating the cost of not hiring
  • Pinpointing what you could give up
  • Making offers
  • Leveraging hires

Build a Business that Supports Your Life | S04E1108 Aug 202200:16:39

“You should do this.” “You should do that!” “Hey, have you considered…” When you’re building a business, so many voices and ideas constantly come at you. You can become lost in all the possibilities and your business becomes your life. Maybe it’s time to build your businesses a little differently… Especially if you realize you’ve built your life around your business, rather than your business around your life.

But what if you intentionally built your business to nurture the life you want? How would you go about it? To begin, you need to quiet the noise all around you, to anchor to internal wisdom, and then act from there. Let’s talk about what it might look like to build a business that supports your life.

“We get so immersed in the business that we end up building a life around the business. We’ve accommodated the business by compromising our lives.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Noise of life
  • Internal anchors
  • Growth from the reaction phase
  • Choose the life you want

Inflation and Small Business | S04E1001 Aug 202200:17:41

The cost of doing business seems to be rising by the day. Inflation is hitting small businesses pretty hard. The current economy and labor market are so different than even just a couple years ago. And when you’ve got a team, wages, in particular, are a big consideration in your budget.

Because of these unique changes, I hope to help you have a bit of a brain shift in this episode. As leaders, we have Two Buckets to recognize: Beliefs and thoughts (including the opinions of others) versus Facts. The impact of all the information constantly coming at us can make opinions appear as facts. This can dramatically affect how we look at, and what we feel about, everything going on in our businesses. It can especially affect our opinion about hiring and paying wages. So let me give you a bit of tough love and let’s talk about all this.

“Or you just decide, ‘You know what? I signed up to be a business owner. The economy’s a little wackadoodle right now. I’m gonna figure out my plan. And I’m gonna execute the hell out of it’.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • The Two Buckets: Facts versus Thoughts

  • Perpetuating facts

  • Practical decisions without drama

  • Wages and your philosophy

  • Helpful adjustments

Should I Hire a Business Coach? | S04E0925 Jul 202200:26:23

Countless methods and resources are available to help you grow your business. Courses, programs, systems, outside help, advisors, even business coaches. But should you hire a business coach? What do they do or not do? For that matter, is everyone with the title “business coach” actually a business coach?

In this episode, I share many thoughts and insights into what a true business coach does. From my own experience, I can confirm that a really great coach can bring huge value both professionally and personally. However, it is also my opinion that not every person who calls themselves a business coach really is one. That’s not to say they aren’t great at what they do, but rather to delineate between an actual business coach and someone who is more properly defined as an expert in specific aspects of business. Let’s talk about it.

“A coach says, ‘I know you know the right answer for you. And I’m going to help you discover that... But your wisdom is in there and I’m going to help you access it.’ That is coaching.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • What a business coach actually is
  • How teaching, mentoring and advising differ from coaching
  • Clarify what you’re actually needing
  • Keep your coach as only yours
  • How to know it’s time for a business coach
  • Place boundaries around your coach search

How to Run Productive 1:1 Meetings with Your Team – Live Coaching with Kris | S04E0818 Jul 202200:26:00

Do your meetings with your team end up off track? Do you avoid scheduling meetings because they’re really not productive? If so, you’re definitely not alone. In this second installment of “Live Coaching with Kris”, I tackle this prevalent problem.

As I coach a listener about how to run a productive 1:1 meeting, clarity in business rises to the surface. When you’re running a business, clarity is necessary in every area. Clarity in job descriptions, roles and responsibilities, clarity in expectations and outcomes, and clarity in the direction each team member is headed. With these in place, meetings naturally become more focused. Couple that focus with praise and positive feedback, and you’ll soon be looking forward to meetings, rather than dreading them.

Speaking of clarity, if you missed the first installment of “Live Coaching with Kris”, I encourage you to go back and listen to it. In that episode, I advise around the common question: Should I Hire a Friend? Clarity is needed in that situation as well and I hope my coaching brings you an abundance of it.

“In my life, we’ve always talked about giving positive feedback as cookies, not crumbs… when you add detail, it really shows that you paid attention.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Take the vital signs of your business
  • Clarity and purpose
  • The Employee Continuum
    • Coach for growth
    • Coach for engagement and retention
    • Not coaching, employing management
  • Give cookies, not crumbs
  • 4 Guiding Steps:
    • Ask for input
    • Choose measures
    • Decide frequency
    • Determine direction

Should I Hire a Friend? -- Live Coaching with Kris | S04E0711 Jul 202200:31:17

All business owners face this dilemma: Should I hire a friend? Of course, there is an added emotional dynamic when employing someone close to you. Those ties do require consideration. However, regardless of who you hire, consistent frameworks need to be in place. Without them, decisions and potential outcomes can become very messy.

In this first installment of “Live Coaching with Kris” on my Leadership is Feminine podcast, I address the common question of employing people you know. As I coach a very successful business woman regarding this, we cover guidelines in employing people, clarifying expectations and defining roles, delegating not abdicating, and much more.

By the way, I’m very excited to add these episodes. I’m loving doing these live, anonymous coaching sessions with one of you, my listeners, recording it, and then sharing it so we can all benefit. It’s a blast! I can’t wait to share more of them with you all.

“I think I need to hire someone to support me. Not someone I’m going to support. And that was incredibly delineating for me.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Impart your vision clearly
  • Don’t build for a specific person in mind
  • Clarify what you need and outline the scope
  • Define your values
  • Delegate not abdicate
  • Measurables
  • Follow-through plan
  • Timeline

Business Minded with Jody Moore | S04E0604 Jul 202200:40:12

Has believing you’re not business minded held you back? If so, I have good news to share: That may only be because being business minded may not be as you envision it. There is much more to it than stats, accounting and marketing. Don’t allow behaviors and skills that can be cultivated and activated – even if you weren’t good at them in the past – hold you back any longer!

Because how we think about all this can be such a hindrance, I wanted to address it. When I thought about how to approach this topic, my friend Jody Moore immediately came to mind. Jody is a gifted coach and she’s developed a program literally called “Business Minded”. As we recorded this episode, Jody shared how she used to believe she wasn’t business minded but learned differently. She and I go on to discuss several aspects of what it actually means to be business minded, including important metrics, consistent behaviors, sales approaches, and much more.

“Without consistent behavior, skills don’t matter. And, the good news is, you don’t even have to have the skills if you just compensate with behavior… And, then of course, ironically enough, the more behaviors you put in, the better your skills become.” – Jody Moore

What You’ll Learn
  • What it is to be business minded
  • Metrics that matter versus indicators that don’t
  • Behaviors, skills and consistency
  • Reframing making offers
  • Is the Business Minded program right for you?
  • Goals that pull
  • Removing bottlenecks

Jody in her own words…

Hello, I’m Jody. I’m a lot like you. I am a mother of 4, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and a woman trying to figure out how to minimize resentment, overwhelm and guilt, and replace them with happiness, gratitude and joy.

Three years after getting married I found myself with two kids under age 2, a loving husband, and a lot of self-loathing. I struggled with the duties associated with being a mom and wife and then I felt guilty for feeling that way. After all, this was the life I thought I’d always wanted.

I have a BA in Communications and an MA in Adult Education along with 15 years of experience as a Corporate Trainer and Leadership Coach, but what has helped me the most to overcome my struggles and to conquer all of my goals, are the tools I use now to coach my clients. Thanks to my extensive training with Brooke Castillo of The Life Coach School, I am now a Certified Life Coach, and I couldn’t be more proud of the work I get to do in the world.

What I learned when I found coaching (and now teach to others), helped me gain my confidence back. It helped me enjoy my kids and love my husband exactly as he is. It helped me create a successful business and be the kind of mom I want to be at the same time. The tools I teach are the ones that have helped me live gospel principles and develop a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father.

Today I have the honor of helping women (and a few brave men) achieve the results they desire in all areas of their life. My clients range from young newlyweds to empty nesters and together, we are changing the results in their lives.

I feel so honored to get to work with these individuals to improve their relationships, their confidence, their physical, mental and emotional health, their money situation and their contribution in the world.

I believe all of my previous education and experience has prepared me to do this work. I’m a lucky woman. And guess what?

So are you. I will help you find it.

How to Manage Stress for Women Business Owners | S04E0527 Jun 202200:18:26

Stress is inevitable. We’re running our businesses, cherishing our personal lives, navigating the changing world around us… No matter where we turn, stressors are present. Simply trying to tell ourselves not to feel stressed, and to just relax or to just suck it up, is unhelpful and often ineffective. I want to offer an approach that helps: acknowledging the stress, identifying what’s going on when we feel stressed and knowing what we can do to mitigate it.

As we examine how to manage stress for women business owners, I want to discuss the elements of stress. I believe there are major contributing factors such as resistance to the truth, how we buffer stress, and our personal tipping points. In consideration of stressors, we have countless outside sources but the inner source – that is, our own inner dialogue – is the overpowering one. Therefore, the thoughts you think are the ultimate source of stress, and framing them is key to management. Let’s talk about it.

“That inner dialogue that you entertain is really, ultimately, the source that we have to talk to… that inner dialogue is either promoting your ability to be resilient and capable… or that inner dialogue is promoting your ineptitude, your lack of skill... But as you tell that story about who you are, I want you to look at what that does to how you feel emotionally and physically.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Resistance to the truth
  • The skill of resilience
  • Breaking down stressors
    • Countless sources
    • Stories we tell ourselves
    • Victim vs. owner
  • Framing your thoughts with power

Business Strategy for Women Business Owners | S04E0420 Jun 202200:17:52

Business models, kits, courses, systems and similar flood the marketplace. A simple online search pulls an overwhelming number of options. But finding a model designed for women, with women in mind is trickier. As female entrepreneurs, we possess natural strengths and assets which differ from men. We need a business strategy that leverages those.

In this business mastery episode, I address business strategy for women business owners. Before we begin, I want to establish that it’s healthy to periodically adjust and rework your strategy. As your desire for the results of your business changes, your strategy needs to as well. I find I adjust mine about every 24-36 months.

“And that is the part that is so dynamic: that your strategy has to be that fluid AND concrete… and fluid and concrete... It’s just an evolving process. It’s a breathing process. And I think that’s what so many models don’t account for.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn

Women Who’ve Sold Their Business: Carey Peters | E16908 Jul 202400:51:59

In the past 20 years, there has been a wave of women-owned businesses, and women selling those businesses. However, no one is really talking about it. In this mini series, host Kris Plachy is bringing women business owners on to talk about their experiences of selling their businesses. In this episode of Leadership is Feminine, Kris talks with Carey Peters. Carey shares her story of owning, selling, and buying multiple businesses over the span of 18 years, with a combined revenue of over $220 million.

Carey details her journey from being a young actor to getting her start in health coaching and how she leveraged a partnership with a colleague to start Holistic MBA, and eventually selling that and rolling it into Holistic Coach Institute. She shares some nuggets of wisdom about critical aspects of the acquisition process and takes us through the highs and lows of business deals and negotiations, including the roller-coaster ride that was selling her cherished business.

The chat shifts gears to what happens post-sale. Carey lays it bare about the range of emotions she experienced, following the acquisition. But amidst it all, she found peace, contentment, and the life-altering realization that business success does not define self-worth.

There is so much we can learn from one another. So tune in to this episode of Leadership is Feminine to tap into the wealth of knowledge from a fellow woman, who has had an incredible business journey.

So what I learned is that when you're selling, you have to be able to tell the story that your business is an income machine, that if you put in x dollars, it's going to spit out y dollars, and that the total addressable market is z. So the story is you put an x, you spit out y, and this is the number of market share that we could potentially capture. And then that tells the buyer, like, ‘Oh, you know, I get it.’”

Guest Bio

In the past 17 years, Carey has founded or co-founded 6 companies that have served over 50,000 clients and students and generated over $200 million in revenue.

Currently, you can see Carey as one of the main instructors of Health Coach Institute, a coaching education company she co-founded with her long-time business partner Stacey Morgenstern.

After years of working with thousands of women to create powerful transformations in their lives, Carey has distilled all of her experience and expertise together for the first time in an all-new body of work called APPETITE: The Mastermind for Women Who Are Hungry For More.

How to Fire Someone Nicely | S04E0313 Jun 202200:19:57

For many leaders, hiring is scary enough but what about when you need to let someone go? As I promised, throughout Season 4 of Leadership Is Feminine, I’m tackling some of the most daunting and critical components of business mastery. And how to fire someone, and do it nicely, ranks right at the top for most leaders.

Knowing how to kindly part ways is an invaluable skill, not only for yourself but for the other person. You are able to soften an already difficult and very uncomfortable situation when you know how to address the problem. In this episode, I teach you some guidelines and share some wisdom on how to cause the least amount of injury and pain to both you and them.

“If I walked into your business today and asked people who worked for you if they knew what their goals were, if they knew what the result was that they’re responsible for, would they know? If your answer is ‘Ummm, maybe?’ or ‘Uh, probably not’, we already know we have a cocktail for confusion when it gets to potentially firing someone.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • Honor that pain exists in firing someone
  • Don’t surprise people
  • Never assume roles are self-evident
  • Come from a clean place

The Founder's Curse| S04E0206 Jun 202200:12:23

What exactly is The Founder’s Curse? Of course, it’s not truly a curse but there is a genuine concept here. One that, for lack of a better description, plagues most founders.

As we journey together through Season 4 of Leadership Is Feminine, I want to focus on business mastery. You already have mastery of what you do in the world, that is, your subject matter expertise or practitioner expertise. But what about mastery of the necessities of running your business, such as how to lead and manage teams? We can all use more mastery in that area. And one block to building that mastery is overcoming The Founder’s Curse. I want to bring that into the light, discuss it, and help you conquer it.

“For as long as you keep believing that you’re the only one, ultimately, who will ever really know how to make it work, you will remain the only one, who really knows – ever – how to make it work. And you will keep working harder.” – Kris Plachy

What You’ll Learn
  • What is The Founder’s Curse?
  • 3 ways you create delay
    • Reaffirming unproductive habit
    • Usurping
    • Crippling accountability
  • Recognizing you’ve got The Founder’s Curse

Leadership Excellence and Mastery for Women| S04E0130 May 202200:26:53

This episode starts Season 4 of Leadership Is Feminine. If you’ve not heard all of the amazing, everyday women I had with me in Season 3, I encourage you to go back and listen to all the episodes. The encouragement, inspiration and wisdom you’ll gain is phenomenal.

For Season 4, I want to focus on leadership excellence and mastery for women. In particular, I believe that the characteristic of resilience is a core quality. Embedded in resilience is consistency, and with consistency comes mastery. Mastery isn’t based on complex systems. It’s about basic truths, basic principles. In looking back on my own growth over the past 10 years, I’ve found that the same principles are still true, and they are what work.

“I love watching the powerful ability of a women, once she no longer feels helpless to managing and leading people… once she’s no longer helpless to the behaviors and choices of others… once she knows that there’s nothing in her business… she can’t handle… Watching that happen and being witness to women who experience that kind of resolve, and knowing, and wisdom has been so inspiring for me.” – Kris Plachy

A Conversation with Camysha Wright| S03E1323 May 202200:31:23

Changing your mindset as a leader is a magical gift. It allows you to manage yourself, and therefore, your team, with greater empathy. The beautiful truth about changing yourself is that some change can happen very quickly and it is always worth the investment.

In today’s episode, Dr. Camysha Wright and I talk about change as a leader. We discuss how empowering it is to make time for necessary changes, to refill your own tank so you aren’t always depleted, and the value in investing in your own leadership and management skills. We also revisit a very powerful statement Dr. Wright made during a previous discussion, one that has stuck with me ever since: many things can actually be accomplished in a day. And this can  include changing yourself. As you listen to this episode, I hope this truth encourages you as much as it does me.

“I think the biggest gift for me has been the change in mindset… learning how to deal with my own mind… managing your team is definitely very important but you also have to manage yourself… changing the way that I see things and how I analyze, like a problem, has been a huge gift…” – Dr. Camysha Wright

What You’ll Learn
  • Stepping into the ins and outs of business
  • Empowering yourself to make time
  • Investing in your own leadership and management
  • Expanding your mindset is a huge gift
  • Giving space for refilling your own tank

An Interview with Kendall Summerhawk | S03E1216 May 202200:37:29

How much do you allow yourself to have in regards to money? As women, we are conditioned to “tuck it in” when it comes to being extremely successful in earnings. A Conversation with Deborah Perlman | S03E1109 May 202200:36:36

No matter how long we’ve been working at something or how much money we make, doubts will creep in and times of uncertainty will come. But we must learn to listen to that little voice inside that guides us. Tuning into the wisdom of that inner voice, as well as listening to the wisdom of others will fuel us with resolve to carry on.

In this episode, I chatted with Deborah Perlman, founder and CEO of Cocus Pocus about listening to that inner voice. We discuss building your own Queendom, dancing with failure, dealing with hires that don’t work out, and more. Deborah shares how she was encouraged to leave corporate America and do for herself what she’d been accomplishing for others. As you listen to her share her experiences and what she’s learned since becoming an entrepreneur, I hope you are emboldened to follow your own little voice.

“I look at these people in these high level positions and it looks like a golden cage to me now.” – Deborah Perlman

What You’ll Learn

A Conversation with Emily Sandberg | S03E1002 May 202200:36:46

In our businesses, we all need someone who can help with the books. But we also need someone who can help us think forward. Someone who can help us forecast, not retract, and change our thoughts and habits around money. For me, that is my CFO and the owner of Nice Job, Inc., Emily Sandberg.

I wanted to have Emily on an episode to share some of her wisdom and magic, and she delivered. We discussed security, being properly connected to our money, leadership, protecting structures and roles, and much more. As a money genius, Emily gave several powerful statements revolving around how we think about money. She reminded all of us that money does not define us, and neither our businesses nor ourselves are fragile.

“One of the problems I see is women who use money to define who they are. They want the money to tell them they’re good enough, they’re smart enough, they’re capable enough. And so they think if they have enough money, then they’ll know that for sure. But when you're a leader, when you take leadership over the money, what you do then is you recognize money for what it is. It’s a tool.” – Emily Sandberg

What You’ll Learn
  • Safety isn’t in the money
  • Money doesn’t define you, it’s data
  • The power in how you think about making money
  • It’s never as bad as it feels
  • Dynamic changes around decisions and entrepreneurship
  • Protecting structure and roles
  • I’m not fragile and neither is my business
Meet Emily Sandberg

Emily Sandberg is the owner of Nice Job, Inc. She’s a money coach specializing in cashflow and forecasting for online coaches and course creators. While most accounting looks to the past for guidance, Emily works with her clients to know the future of money in their business, so they can make strategic decisions with their cash. Her work has helped dozens of clients go from running a money-hungry business to a predictably profitable enterprise, by simply following her profit-centered framework. When she’s not running scenarios for her clients’ Facebook Ad Spends, she can be found playing pickleball or hiking in the gorgeous red rocks of southern Utah with her family.

A Conversation with Erika Sinner | S03E0925 Apr 202200:46:09

As your business grows, your role as a leader should change and evolve. This includes what you do on a regular basis and what you relinquish to others. As you realign your leadership into co-creation, you’ll face countless challenges, including properly choosing and nurturing a team, letting go of all the things you once personally did, and even breaking old habits.

In this episode, I converse with Erika Sinner, founder and CEO of Directorie™ about numerous facets of leadership. We talk about setting healthy standards and expectations both for ourselves as leaders and for our team. Erika shares her wisdom regarding trusting yourself and following what you know, deep down, is the next right thing. As we talked, Erika dropped a truth bomb that even I was challenged by. I hope you’re challenged and encouraged as well.

“When you think about things about your business, you always feel like… ‘We don’t have time to create training’, ‘We don’t have time to hire’... And if you replace that with ‘It’s not important to create training’... it changes! It shifts how you feel about the things you just said. Because when you really think about it that way, you have to prioritize the things that are important. Or something’s gotta give.” – Erika Sinner

What You’ll Learn
  • Breaking corporate-world habits
  • Trusting yourself
  • Nurturing a growing team
  • Realigning your leadership to co-creation
  • Connecting for authentic validation
  • Choosing whose advice you heed
  • Replacing the “I don’t have time” mindset
Meet Erika Sinner

Enthusiasm, effort, and excellence: the keywords that embody all of Erika’s endeavors. And founding Directorie™ is no exception to this rule…she saw the need for a different model in the industry, and she stepped up to fill the void.

For nearly 20 years, she’s built successful teams, brands, and managed a myriad of agency relationships in the pharmaceutical industry. Her experience spans rare disease, high-science, and traditional medications delivered in the hospital, community setting, or by focused specialists. With the demands of life and business in our modern times, peace can be elusive. Yet, as female CEOs, we sometimes talk ourselves out of creating that necessary environment of calm. We wrongly believe we’re not worthy or that it’s indulgent or selfish, but it isn’t. It’s truly an investment in yourself and your business.

In this episode, I talk with interior designer Tara Fust (Tara Fust Design) about the value of peace. We discuss fostering peace in all endeavors, whether it’s in your surroundings or within relationships. She shares about the joy of finding common ground with other women, the pitfalls of taking on a business partner, and the power of staying present through failure. As you listen to our discussion, I hope you find the inspiration to build beauty and serenity into your life and business.

Tara in her own words…
THE FAT: I'm the daughter of an interior designer who grew up living in homes that were constantly evolving, changing… being redone. Combine that with the sunshine and beaches of Southern California and it’s no surprise I’m living a creative life that’s inspired by easy, beautiful living.

THE SKINNY: A move South and the springboard of a little home furnishings store—plus a handful of great clients—and I’ve found my place. It's about creating homes and spaces that invite you in, beg you to stay, and make your day when you come through the door.

The power of showing up, rather than serving in sacrifice, cannot be overstated. When we commit, when we are there, even when no one else is, a superpower is released that often comes in no other way.

In this episode, I talk with Bernadette Doyle, owner and CEO of Bernadette Doyle.com about the superpower of showing up. Throughout our conversation, we discuss feminine leadership, thriving through the unknown, the disservice of sacrifice in business, and much more. I hope you receive a fresh perspective on the magic of committing to, and trusting, yourself.

“There is nothing, in my experience, that trumps that energy of just showing up, committed. I’m committed to serve. I’m here and I’m showing up, even if… you know, you do a Facebook live and you can see you might have no one on with you. But you just show up and you just give it your all anyway. And I think that is the powerpower.” – Bernadette Doyle

Women Who’ve Sold Their Business Series: Gail O'Rourke | E16801 Jul 202400:43:08

In the past 20 years, there has been a wave of women-owned businesses, and women selling those businesses. However, no one is really talking about it. In this mini series, host Kris Plachy is bringing women business owners on to talk about their experiences of selling their businesses.

In this episode of Leadership is Feminine, Kris talks with Gail O’Rourke. Gail shares her story of owning multiple businesses, and growing them from the ground up, and then selling. She takes us behind the scenes of that big sale – and everything she learned along the way. What it felt like keeping it under wraps, dealing with the legal hiccups along the way, and the bittersweet emotions that came with it. As Gail aptly puts it, "The sale of a business isn't just a transaction, it's a transformation."

Gail talks about what actually sold her business wasn’t the customers or profits she made, it was the process she created that made sales easy, from start to finish. She's big on process management and she attests that a well-oiled process is the secret sauce to business success, whether you're managing teams, training, or onboarding new employees.

Kris talks about how inspiring it is to see what women do after they sell their business. How divine it is when women have freedom to either create something again or invest time in making a difference. And that’s exactly what is next for Gail, who also talks about what she’s been creating with her latest endeavor, Benefact 4.

There’s a wealth of wisdom and inspiration packed into this episode. Tune in to learn more about Gail's remarkable journey on Leadership is Feminine.

Key Takeaways From This Episode
  1. Gail O'Rourke's experience of selling a business: Setbacks and solutions during the sale process

  2. Importance of structured processes in business management: Processes keep things simple when addressing training opportunities, onboarding new employees, and supporting staff

  3. The need for business owners to take a step back as the business grows: Identifying what you want to do, and hiring staff for the rest

Work with Kris and Her Team:
A Conversation with Karin Carr | S03E0604 Apr 202200:41:04

The power of attraction can be magical for a female CEO. Attraction brings clients, connections and even team members. And when building a quality team, in particular, it can be a secret weapon. People naturally want to work for someone they respect and who is generating good within a particular space. This alleviates the need to go looking for high caliber team members. It also allows the CEO to look into someone who expresses interest in working for them, without making any commitment to hire.

But what, exactly, is the power of attraction? In this episode, I discuss what it is and what it is not with successful CEO and entrepreneur, Karin Carr. Karin is the real estate team owner and CEO at Georgia Coast Homes, the creator of YouTube for Agents, and a coach for those in the real estate business (Karin Carr Coaching). We talk about creating solutions, learning to delegate, turning mistakes into opportunities, and the superpower of understanding attraction. I hope you’ll be inspired and moved to action by this chat. Before you listen, I’ll give you one tiny spoiler alert: The power of attraction isn’t about you looking a certain way.

“You don’t have to be young, you don’t have to be skinny, you don’t have to be gorgeous… By being on camera, yes, there may be trolls that say something negative. But you know what? We can’t let it stop us. You can have such an amazing career if you’re just willing to put yourself out there.” – Karin Carr

What You’ll Learn
  • Moving into helping others
  • Building a team through attraction
  • Being the primary breadwinner
  • Learning to let go and choosing what makes sense
  • Responding to and making use of mistakes
  • Allowing yourself to be seen
Meet Karin Carr

Serving markets throughout GA and SC, her team averages 3-5 inbound leads per day without buying leads. Whatever your individual purpose is, you are designed to make a difference. Finding precisely how, although, can be a winding path. The very focus on making a difference can cause unwelcome detours, typically caused by fear… Fear of failure, lack of knowledge, feelings of inadequacy… But when you settle into being yourself, follow your heart, and trust in that, you will also achieve your goal of making a difference.

In this episode, I chatted with Jennifer Krepps, the owner of Kritter Kare’s Howliday Inn and Kritter Kare’s Pet Sitting all about this. We discuss wanting to bring an increase in the level of respect in her industry, the desire to thrive and not simply survive, moments that define your legacy, and much more. During our time together, Jennifer wisely compares scenic stops to enrichments in our life journey and I hope this podcast is a scenic stop for you.

“You’ve got to pursue what’s in your soul, what really matters to you. And, I think, in doing that, you will make a difference at the same time.” – Jennifer Krepps

What You’ll Learn
  • Making a difference by being yourself
  • Scenic stops
  • Reinventing how to pull people in
  • Thriving versus surviving: Who are you listening to?
  • Moments that define your legacy
  • Lies of sunny skies
  • Scared but doing it anyway

A Conversation with Evelyn Hsu | S03E0421 Mar 202200:38:41

The mindset of an intrapreneur (an introverted entrepreneur) is one of determination to fix what is wrong, even while it is not in their nature to seek a position of leadership. Rather, intrapreneurs frequently find others inquiring of their wisdom, following their suggestions, and asking them to lead. Insight and depth of caring flourish in the intrapreneur, fueling their innate drive to improve processes and ideals in order to improve the lives of others.

In today’s episode, I talked with Dr. Evelyn Hsu, MD, a natural intrapreneur. She discusses how, as a physician, clinician, teacher and researcher, she has found herself in leadership positions without seeking them. She shares at length about pushing past fear and discomfort to achieve worthwhile ends. We discuss the mindset of being an intrapreneur leader, current and necessary paradigm shifts, and how being maladapted (I love this term she uses) can actually be your superpower.

“I can’t accept things just being bad… Accepting the risk to do what’s right is something I’m really willing to do… You can be afraid of everything and do it anyway.” – Dr. Evelyn Hsu, MD

What You’ll Learn
  • Defining the intrapreneur
  • Navigating difficult conversations
  • The power of doing it afraid
  • Allowing curiosity of how things work in this great organism
  • Shifting the physician’s paradigm
  • Capturing the quiet
Meet Dr. Evelyn Hsu, MD

Evelyn in her own words…

“The only way we can change this system for the better is to stay in it as leaders.

I am an academic physician; I am a clinician, a teacher, and a researcher. I’m a former people-pleaser and perfectionist in recovery.

I love academic medicine for the space that it allows for ideas and research, and for the opportunity it gives us to shape the future of what is possible. I don’t love academic medicine for how it is deeply steeped in patriarchy, and the way it encourages us to pay for our progress with our blood, our sweat, and our tears.

I’m in it as a leader and a coach because I want to bring calm to your chaos without compromising your dreams, cutting down your time, or quitting your job. Simply by getting to the point you are at, you are brilliant and effective. Coaching can get you to the next step faster, and with more joy.

I know what it is like to exist within the system that factors in the combined pressure of clinical work, administrative responsibilities, teaching, leadership, and research excellence.

Only a coach who is also a physician can understand the unique pressures of academic medicine.

We will begin with career visioning and goal-setting. Follow-up modules will be tailored based on your needs.

Module topics inclusive of but not limited to: time management, relationships, people pleasing, perfectionism, negotiation, stress, anxiety, writing, projects and mind/life clutter.”

A Conversation with Krista St-Germain | S03E0314 Mar 202200:38:21

When life doesn’t go the way we think it will, it can seem like a reason to stop dreaming. Tragedy, especially, drives us into a place of acute grief, followed by days where just putting one foot in front of the other is our limit. Krista St-Germain, Life Coach for Widowed Moms, founder of Mom Goes On and host of The Widowed Mom podcast has lived this. Widowed at age 40, Krista discovered grief recovery through coaching and the ability to dream again.

In this podcast installment, Krista shares her warrior coach power and offers her viewpoints and advice regarding business, life and grief coaching. She touches on unexpected grief, unexpected growth, working with a team, the power of failure, and much more. I hope through hearing this episode, you are buoyed and strengthened in your own journey.

“‘Wait a minute, what lights me up here? What would just absolutely feel like a dream to do here? And then follow that.’ And then, boom! I solved the problem that I was so stressed out and losing sleep over. And then in an hour, it felt totally different.” – Krista St-Germain

What You’ll Learn
  • Unexpected tragedy, unexpected growth
  • Unplanned obligations
  • The who, not the how in business
  • Not minimizing grief in a society focused on happiness
  • Loving what you do and who you help
  • Going for the next evolution despite the fear
  • The strength in making things fun
  • The power of failure
Meet Krista St-Germain

Krista in her own words…

“When my husband was killed by a drunk driver, I was devastated.

Therapy helped me survive the tidal wave of grief and unfurl myself from the fetal position.

I went back to work. Everyone kept telling me how “strong” I was. I acted strong in front of my kids. But inside I felt hollow. All my dreams had included him.

I desperately wanted to believe I could still have a happy, fulfilling life but I wasn’t sure how. Then I began to research grief, trauma and healing extensively. I studied cognitive behavioral coaching and read every book I could find. I combined what I learned about Post Traumatic Growth with cognitive science-based coaching tools and figured out how to turn my loss into a strategy for growth.

I learned to see myself as stronger because of what I’d been through instead of using it as a reason to stop dreaming.

I created a new life using small, manageable steps and techniques that made sense. The changes I experienced were so profound I became a Master Certified Life Coach and created a group coaching program for widows like us called Mom Goes On.”

The Most Important Leadership Characteristic | S02 E1214 Feb 202200:17:20

Whether good or bad, a leader is one who inspires others to follow. Beyond this definition, however, there are deep questions. What, exactly, makes a leader powerful and effective? What is the element that goes beyond strategies, methods and competency and taps into hidden CEO magic?

A big component is the currency of energy. To understand the existence of the currency of energy and to use that is huge. It releases the magic we all need and want. That, in turn, releases what I hold to be the most important leadership characteristic. I invite you to join me as I explore and share that magical characteristic in this episode.

What You’ll Learn
  • The currency of energy
    • Magic, hope and the power of your mind
  • Making sense of the unseen
    • Spirituality
    • Leading and creating your business
    • Attracting followers
  • The most important leadership characteristic
  • When it’s hard
  • Choosing, no matter what comes

The Pure Magic of Leaders Who Listen | S02 E1107 Feb 202200:12:58

When people feel heard, they feel known, valued – and this is desperately needed in our modern culture. It is, perhaps, an even deeper need for women in powerful leadership positions. Others listen to accomplished, successful women for the express purpose of acquiring knowledge for their own gain. But who truly hears and sees the strong, powerful women, herself, who is dispensing said knowledge?

Out of this reality comes the wisdom that all need to be truly seen and heard. To not be is quite lonely. As women especially, we naturally possess the ability to listen and alleviate this need, if we are intentional to sharpen our skill. Leaders who do so will draw others to themselves who are at the same level, which is both desirable and mutually beneficial. Through this episode, I hope to ignite in you the desire to awaken the deep, pure magic of being a leader who truly listens and sees.

What You’ll Learn
  • Why we typically feel unheard
    • Pursuit of knowledge
    • Self-focused society
  • The magic of listening
    • Connect with people at the same level
    • Hold others in high value
    • Some proofs you’re truly listening
  • Cultivate being listened to yourself
  • Find people who see and hear you

Punishment vs. Accountability | S02 Ep1031 Jan 202200:17:07

Holding others accountable, especially employees, is one of the biggest and most common issues leaders face. Why is it so hard to get people to do what you want or assess performance and address issues? Why is holding people responsible so uncomfortable? I believe the core issue is this: We associate accountability with punishment.

Borne from the traditional masculine authority figure dynamic, we anticipate or associate a penalty exacted for an offense. We see this throughout society in various forms. And although punishment is a form of accountability, it isn’t the type needed nor desired in business. It is neither relevant nor applicable. What we need and desire from those we lead is ownership, obligation, and investment in the outcome. We need proper accountability. So how do we nurture that desired environment of personal responsibility? To start, we must disassociate punishment from accountability.

What You’ll Learn
  • Defining proper accountability
    • The origin of punishment within accountability
    • Emotions and personal investment triggers
  • Dirty vs clean accountability
    • Remembering the purpose of having employees
    • Divorcing emotion: loyalty, love and poor performance
  • Accountability is professional commitment
    • Being held to account for ability is rare
    • The uncomfortable place of being the first
    • Clear expectations, clear agreement, and not meeting them
  • Earning their way up? or earning their way out?
    • Neutral, not personal; steering clear of punishment
    • Navigate with maturity and addressing commitment
    • Sort your emotions before acting

Believing in Your Visionary Ideas | E16724 Jun 202400:14:04

When was the last time you had a great idea? Where were you? Who were you with? What were you doing? When women have great ideas, they lead to successes not just in our own lives, but also for the people in our businesses, and they have a positive impact on the world around us.

In this episode of Leadership is Feminine, host Kris Placy invites us to look at examples of when we have created successes for ourselves, how to be able to recreate those amazing ideas, and the role of self-belief in this process.

Kris discusses how, as women, we need to trust, indulge, and allow our ideas to breathe. She urges that we need visionaries now, more than ever before to solve the world's problems. And too often, women aren’t tuned in to their ideas or they don’t want to do the work that it would take in order to actualize their ideas.

This episode serves as a reminder that it is worth investing in your own thinking. It can be easy to get caught up in the day to day actions of your business, but remember to recognize your potential and the power of your ideas.

I think women are going to solve the problems of the world. And we have got to start to believe in our own beliefs. We have got to start to believe in our own ideas and we have to start to believe in our own visions.”

Key Takeaways From This Episode
  1. The pivotal role of ideas: Importance of ideas as a driver of personal growth and business success

  2. Various types of ideation sources and environments and their influence on idea generation

  3. Necessity for self-belief and belief in one's potential: The courage required for visionaries to pursue their ideas despite difficulties

  4. Encouragement for women to devise strategies and systems that support innovation

  5. The positive effect of acknowledging one's accomplishments and giving credit to oneself

The Magic of NOT Knowing How | S02 Ep924 Jan 202200:18:59

We tend to be organized, especially as a society. Structured, linear thinking is expected and natural. This leads to us believing not only do we know what will happen but also why. And therefore, we believe we have control over things. This control thought-pattern then breeds a constant stream of how. How are we going to do this, how are we going to do that?

But what if not investing all our energy into the how frees us to lean into belief? Frees the magic of the creative process and fuels success for our vision? Let’s recapture the what we’ve been kissed with through embracing the magic of NOT knowing how.

What You’ll Learn
  • Why we lose the magic

    • Vision getting lost

    • Not knowing the how

  • An example from my life

    • Absolute clarity, without any idea of the how

  • Loving what you do releases the magic

    • Lean into joy

    • Commit to being more of you

  • The missing piece

    • How versus the energy of truly believing

    • More than just tactics

  • Worry robs us

    • Increased capacity

    • Release your need to know

  • Ways the how generates more easily

    • Nurture what you’ve been kissed with

    • Refuse anxiety triggers

    • Be healthy, thriving, open, free

    • Achieve through proper work

S02 Episode 7: How to Truly Celebrate Business Success10 Jan 202200:16:44
Do you truly celebrate your business wins? Or do you tend to just blow right past them and move on to the next goal? Yes, it’s important to look forward, make plans, to do all the things to move yourself and your business forward. But might I suggest one additional but ultra-important thing to do? Let me encourage you to do what feels good. That is, celebrating yourself and your successes!

As humans, we create things first in our minds. Magical things happen when we imagine them, then make them reality. Through that process, we feel. And great things come to us through feeling. That’s why giving space to celebrating, leaning into accomplishment, and allowing pride, joy and wonder to manifest will foster even more success. Celebrating your success breeds more success!

What You’ll Learn
  • Make your list of magic
    • What are the wins you didn’t roll around in this past year?
    • Feel your wins deeply
  • Explore why one success really hit you but another did not
    • Is there unnecessary guilt or shame?
    • Are you mistakenly building an entitlement environment?
  • Stop. Start. Continue.
    • Thoughtfully choose
    • Create from feelings
    • Connect with feelings and allow yourself to feel…
      • Wise, competent, brave
      • Loved, worthy, valued
  • Trust your own wisdom
    • Honor your success
    • Use visuals to hold that space
