Sam grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but when her family slowly stopped attending, she began to feel isolated and out of place. In a Church so centered on family, Sam questioned whether she truly belonged and stepped away. Even though she kept close ties with her LDS friends, she turned to behaviors outside of LDS Church standards. Years later, she began dating one of her friends, just as he decided to serve a mission. That moment unexpectedly brought back a childhood memory: sitting in Primary, dreaming of serving a mission herself. That is when Sam took the first step in her journey of coming back to Christ.

Clayton was born of "goodly parents" in Missouri, and his father was a Methodist. When his mother passed away, a wedge was driven between Clayton and his father. Clayton searched for answers in religion and was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alec was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but grew up surrounded by people who were openly "anti-Mormon." Despite having profound spiritual experiences in his youth, he found himself in a state of constant confusion, questioning his faith as he got older. A combination of factors—including bullying—led to depression and suicidal thoughts, eventually pushing Alec to the point where he told the Holy Spirit to leave. In search of something to fill the void, he turned to atheism, nihilism, and other philosophies. Eventually, Alec found his way back to the LDS Church, only to realize that God never had—and never will—tell him to leave.

Sage was born into a Latter-day Saint family, but didn’t develop a personal relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in her youth. Feeling isolated at church, she turned to the online world in search of identity and acceptance. While she found friends through apps, she was also introduced to worldly influences — such as substances and occultism — and constantly felt like she was chasing a fleeting sense of belonging. After a miraculous recovery from a serious car accident, Sage realized that God saved her life. After that, she made the courageous decision to repent and return to the Church.

Meet Regula and Philippe Kradolfer, both converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Regula, born in Switzerland, grew up believing in God, but did not support organized religion. Philippe, who was born in Bolivia, was raised Catholic and even considered becoming a Priest. This potential plan changed when Philippe received an opportunity to study in Switzerland, where he met Regula. During their dating, Philippe was befriended by Elders and given a Book of Mormon. After careful study and prayer, he planned to be baptized, but did not tell Regula until she attended the day of! Regula was disappointed at first, but after witnessing the positive impact this new faith had on her boyfriend, she decided to be baptized herself a few months later. The two waited a year to be sealed in the temple. Regula and Philippe have incredible testimonies and are both so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ!

Bryan Ready spent 15 years preaching the gospel as a faithful Baptist pastor. But over the course of 35 years, his heart was slowly softened by the Spirit toward the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Eventually, he stood at the pulpit one last time to resign, choosing to follow the promptings that led him to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. James’ childhood was split between living at the Scientology Celebrity Center with his mother and living with his agnostic Father. He learned about God from a young age by watching Sunday morning TV preachers, and would even pray for his family. In his teenage years, James turned to substances as a way to cope with the difficult parts of life. After the passing of a celebrity he looked up to, James was prompted to begin a spiritual journey and change his life. His co-worker, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon. Today Jonathan Puri tells the conversion story of Sanjeev Puri, his father. Sanjeev was born in New Delhi, India to a Scottish mother and Indian father. The family moved to a poor area of Scotland after Sanjeev’s mother faced prejudice in India. However, Sanjeev’s father faced bullying in Scotland due to the lack of ethnic diversity in their town. After he passed away, Sanjeev tried to figure out what happened to him after death. The Hindu belief of “reincarnation” did not sit well with him. For a while, Sanjeev investigated the Church of Scotland, which his mother was apart of. There, he was told, that because his father was not baptized, he went to hell. Sanjeev did not believe this to be true either, but came to terms with the fact that maybe he would never know where his father has gone. Soon after, he met missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and began taking lessons with them. When Sanjeev learned about Eternal Families and the Plan of Salvation, he finally found the answer to where his dad had gone.

Mario Facione, who's story can be found in the autobiography "Mafia to Mormon," lived a life of organized crime prior to converting to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With no rules to follow, he embraced a life of partying and recklessness, believing he was in control of his own path. Turning his life around, he chose to be baptized, served a mission, and has remained a faithful disciple ever since.

Doug was raised Catholic, but learned in school about pioneer history and the “deceiver,” Joseph Smith. During Doug’s college years, he left Catholicism and eventually married. When his wife and him moved to West Virginia, they were introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through Doug’s work. After their first visit with missionaries, they dismissed the LDS faith. When Doug found a pamphlet the elders left behind about Joseph Smith and the Restoration, he read it and immediately felt it was true.

Nataly was born in Ukraine at a time when religion was only practiced by a few because of tradition and culture. Her family believed religion was laughable. As she grew up, she started asking questions about the world that no one could answer. One day, Nataly started taking English classes at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cortland was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but lost his faith at a young age when his parents divorced. During his childhood he witnessed alcoholism and excessive partying at home, and was a victim of bullying at school. To cope with feeling unloved, Cortland developed anger issues and people pleasing tendencies. After witnessing his stepfather’s return to the LDS Church, Cortland was inspired to do the same. Despite his fears, he chose repentance leading him to discover Heavenly Father's mercy and love.

Jason was born to a Jewish mother and Lutheran father, but practiced mainly Judaism growing up. He devoutly studied the Torah and attended Hebrew school, but knew of Jesus Christ from celebrating Christian holidays at home. Jason’s friendship with Latter-day Saints led him to receive a copy of the Book of Mormon. Marcellus’ mother was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but his father was not. Abby was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but following the disruption of Covid she found it difficult to return to church. The lingering effects of isolation coupled with a sudden family trial led Abby to doubt her beliefs and the power of the Atonement. Instead of relying on the Savior during this time, she pulled away from Him until she could “be better.” It took a horse hoof to the face and a merciful miracle from God to help her find her way back.

Myriah was raised Christian, beginning in the Methodist Church and later being baptized into the Church of Christ in high school. During college, her performance in a community theatre show led her to meet and develop a friendship with a family who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After attending a baptism, she became curious about the Church and studied it for six months. Myriah worked through lots of questions and anxieties she had about the LDS Church, until she discovered the truth. Through the Holy Ghost, Myriah gained a testimony that baptism by priesthood authority was a necessary step.

Goran Štrbački grew up in Serbia in an unhealthy household with very little to eat, had a sick brother who was sent away, and even lived through bombings by NATO in 1999. After leaving home at 19, he joined the military. One night while thinking about his life, he felt distraught and decided to ask God if He exists. We are so grateful to be joined by Austin, the writer of the Light and Truth letter! Austin lost his faith in the Church of Jesus Christ in 2014 and spent many years trying to find more light and truth. He turned back to the Church and ended up writing a letter about his findings. When our spiritual journey leads us to moments of faith and doubt, it's natural to question everything we once knew. Through faith exploration and reevaluating beliefs, we often discover incredible truths! Sometimes spiritual doubt can be the catalyst that pushes us to finally step off the fence and make a meaningful decision about our religious path.

Our wonderful host, Lauren, shares her conversion story to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lauren was introduced to the Church by her boyfriend but didn't take it very seriously. She eventually joined the Church, went inactive, and struggled with some mental health problems. When she decided to start going back to Church, she decided to move to Utah. She has learned SO MUCH over the years and has such a powerful testimony. WE LOVE YOU, LAUREN!!!

Tracey joined the military at a young age. She recalls a specific experience in which a prayer had been answered during a difficult military training experience. Her experiences with God weren’t all that common but at this time in her life, many things piqued her interest.
