GAME OVER, MAN!

The video game industry has definitely had its fair share of flubs and controversies. However, almost no other studio has been slapped as hard with these issues as Gearbox Studios—known for its iconic Borderlands series, as well as well-documented disasters Duke Nukem Forever and, of course, Aliens: Colonial Marines.

And because Will and Nate love a good disaster story, this time they're diving into the story of what eventually became Aliens: Colonial Marines. Here, our heroes uncover what seems to be a tangled, wiry mess of backroom business deals, shady marketing tactics, and poor project management, which in some ways eerily echoes development stories like Cyberpunk 2077.

The sadbois are jumping back into the SNES era with arguably one of the most popular launch titles in Nintendo's history: Super Mario World!
