Mario war Zeitsoldat, Feldjäger und dort Dienstundeführer bei der deutschen Bundeswehr. Angefixt von der Hundearbeit baut er sich jetzt im zivilen Leben sein eigenes Hundebusiness auf. Dabei bereist er aktuell unterschiedliche Länder, besucht Trainer und allerlei Profis und Persönlichkeiten am Hundesektor. Vergangene Woche war Mario bei uns auf Station und hat uns beim Training begleitet, nun haben wir es geschafft eine Folge aufzunehmen und ein bisschen über unser Tun zu sprechen und einige Gedanken los zu werden. "Willkommen zur 7. Folge von „Sicher & noch sicherer“, moderiert von Daniel Janett. In dieser Folge sprechen wir mit den Gründern der österreichischen Firma Kynotec, Florian und Chris. Die beiden berichten über ihre langjährige Erfahrung in der Hundeausbildung und die Entstehung von Kynotec, einem Unternehmen, das sich auf die Ausbildung von Hunden spezialisiert hat.
Florian und Chris teilen Einblicke in ihre Arbeit, von der Auswahl und Ausbildung von Spürhunden bis hin zu den Herausforderungen und Erfolgen, die sie dabei erlebt haben. Sie erläutern auch die Bedeutung wissenschaftlicher Ansätze in der Hundeausbildung und die Anwendung von Single- und Double-Blind-Tests im Training.
Die Folge gibt auch einen Ausblick auf den kommenden AWiAS Spürhunde-Workshop im September, bei dem die Teilnehmer praxisnahe Übungen und theoretische Grundlagen erlernen können.

4 Tage lang waren wir in Nürnberg auf der ENFORCE TAC, der Behördenmesse im deutschsprachigen Raum. Gemeinsam mit unserem Partner in Crime, Hans Ebbers von Kynoscience der hier auch schon mehrfach zu hören war, traten wir als Aussteller auf und stellten zwei unserer meist genutzten und aus unserer Sicht effizientesten Trainingsmittel für zeitgemäße Spürhundearbeit vor - Getxent und das DDTS von Kynoscience. Wolfram Klaushofer war im Rahmen seines Trainerpraktikums bei Kynotec. Die Ausbildung dazu macht er bei der "AHT GesbR - Angewandtes Hundetraining, Ausbildung zum Angewandten Hundetrainer". Zwei Tage lang war Wolfi im Training der Spürhunde dabei und weil auch er viel zu erzählen hat, weil er schon viele Jahre im Hundewesen (Retrieverarbeit und der Jagd mit Hund) aktiv ist, haben wir uns dazu entschlossen ein lockeres und ungezwungenes Gespräch für den Podcast aufzuzeichnen. Was mich an Leuten wie Wolfi begeistert, ist deren unerschöüfte Neugier und das pure Vergnügen daran etwas Neues zu machen, Leute kennen zu lernen, über Hunde zu sprechen und mit Hunden zu sein. Wow - drittes Jahr, dritte Staffel, Folge 53! Zu unserer großen Freude hat Uwe zugesagt eine Podcastfolge aufzunehmen. Von einander gewusst haben wir schon einige Zeit, wobei Uwe schon länger Präsenz zeigt als Flo alt ist. Er ist vor allem im Jagdhundewesen, jedoch auch in vielen anderen Sparten tätig und hat Vieles ausprobiert um mitreden zu können, egal ob im Jagdhundewesen, KNPV, Schafe hüten oder Hunde für den Film. Nun haben wir es endlich geschafft in einem lockeren Gespräch zu plaudern, um einander etwas besser kennen zu lernen, wobei der Fokus auf Uwe liegt. Wer Uwe kennt, oder glaubt zu kennen, der weiß, dass er polarisiert. Das ist aber immer das Problem des Betrachters. Uwe würde sagen ... ach was ihr hört es eh gleich selbst. Argus Harald reached out to us to connect and do some dog training together with him and Kynotec. When we realized that Harald is the guy running one of the biggest K9 Instagram accounts in the working dog world we felt really excited to meet and get to know him better. Meanwhile we trained a couple of times in Vienna and Styria, and finally made it to record a podcast about Harald himself. Because he is not just doing instagram. He used to be a judiciary guard and was involved in a fast response unit back then. After an accident he had to leave the unit but that did not make him rest. Today he is an operational K9 operator, decoy and decoy instructor, with his multiple companies he sells equipment and weapon systems to different authorities all around the place. The first weekend in December 2023. A workshop in Greece hosted by Operational K9 took place, that is Petros new company. You know Petros already from an episode just about 12 months ago. This time we get deeper into training topics while we were driving through Athens and the countryside to have our last day at a three day seminar about SAR dog training. Besides snacking our breakfast and slurping our typical greek style espresso freddo (incl sugar for Petros because he is a little girly), we had a lot of cool things to talk about! Leo hat sich der Hundearbeit verschrieben. Getrieben von Neugier und Leidenschaft gegenüber unseren Hunden, dem Ziel das Ziel zu erreichen und nicht ab Weg zu versacken ist der Salzburger seit Jahren und Jahrzehnten in verschiedensten Sparten, und dabei auch in diversen Rollen, zu finden. Als Hundeführer, Trainer, Wissenschaftler, Sprecher und Organisator bei den Rettungshunden, Artenspürhunden, Therapiebegleithunden, Diensthunden von Polizei und Co. in Österreich, Europa und zuletzt auch in Afrika. Hans ist hier bei Kynotalk zum zweiten Mal dabei, dieses Mal geht es um seine Geruchsmaschine. Das Ding, das so viele Namen trägt, kann noch mehr als man glaubt. Zuletzt habe ich (Flo) Chris nach dem Odorologiesymposium in Salzburg gesagt, dass wir uns nochmal mehr Gedanken um "der Gerät" machen sollten und kurzerhand haben wir Hans zu uns eingeladen. Ich bin seit Jahren tierschutzqualifizierter Hundetrainer, selbst mehrmals pro Jahr in der Rolle als kynologischer Sachverständiger aktiv für das Messerli Forschungsinstitut bei staatlichen Prüfungen für Therapiebegleit- und Assistenzhundeteams sowie für Tierschutzqualifizierte Hundetrainer/innen und dennoch habe ich mir erst zuletzt die Frage gestellt "Was genau macht das Messerli eigentlich, wer arbeitet dort und vor allem in welchen Bereichen?". Also recherchierte ich und hatte kurz darauf das Vergnügen mich am Gelände der Veterinärmedizinischen Uni Wien mit Herrn Univ. Prof. Dr. Ludwig Huber zu treffen. Ein angenehmer "Kerl", offen und bemüht sich meinen Fragen zu stellen und für uns zu beantworten. Der Herr Professor ist aktuell Leiter des Messerli Forschungsinstitutes sowie der "Verlgeichenden Kognitionsforschung", welche einen von drei Hauptforschungsbereichen des Messerlis beschreibt und welche weitere spezifische Forschungsbereiche beinhaltet so wie zum Beispiel das Cleverdog Lab, das Wolfscience Center und viele mehr! Freut euch auf diesen Einblick in einen Bereich, von dem wir uns in Zukunft praktische Erkenntnisse und Aufschluss für Fragen unseres Trainings mit Hunden erhoffen. Ich durfte Björn Wunder interviewen, nachdem wir uns im Sommer 2022 bei einem Workshop von Kynotec für die Landespolizei Niedersachsen kennen gelernt haben, jedoch nicht genug Zeit blieb um sich noch etwas mehr auszutauschen und kennen zu lernen. Nun endlich nachgeholt, und wir denken, dass es so gut geworden ist, und in jedem Fall hörenswert! Björn ist ein echter Praktiker und lässt sich das trotz seines Ausbilder Daseins nicht nehmen, das macht bestimmt auch seine Qualität als Trainer bei Burli K9 und der Behörde aus. Als Markus und ich aufeinander trafen war ich völlig grün hinter den Ohren, und er schon ein einsatzerfahrener Hundeführer und Ausbilder, dennoch hat er das sein Gegenüber nie spüren lassen, zu mindest nicht auf eine unangenehme hochnäsige Art und Weise, ganz im Gegenteil. Er war immer für den Austausch von Erfahrungen, Meinungen, andere Ansichten und Wissen, beim Training, während Trainingspausen und bei geselligen Abenden nach anstrengenden Trainingstagen. Nun freue ich mich sehr, dass er sich Zeit genommen hat uns von seinen aktuellsten Erfahrungen aus dem Auslandseinsatz mit der AFDRU im Katastrophengebiet, nach den schweren Erdbeben in der Türkei 2023, zu berichten. Robin Greubel seems to never sleep, at least thats what you belive when she tells you all the things she manages doing during a 7 days week. She's playing the dogtraining game since 2001 and since then she has been doing all kinds of different projects from SAR to HRD, detection work concerning narcotics and explosives and many more. Also, she is an operator and trainer, an evaluator, breeder and it goes on just like this. I really enjoyed the talk, unfortunately we've had some problems with the internet - forgive me! Oh man, we've just had a really nice time getting to know each other. Well, at least I got to know Stuard since I was the one asking questions, and it was just great. Stu is a very knowledgable but humble Welsh guy. One of the first things he taught me, was that real men are into rugby, not football, and apart from that, I could gain a lot more useful information throughout our conversation. In over 23 years of being operational as an agency doghandler, then in the privat sector and meanwhile runnig his own very successfull business, Stu definately has a lot to share.
