Season 2 brings us back to a changed Kandor, locked in a battle over its freedom and its future. General Dru-Zod (Colin Salmon) is now in control. He’s on a ruthless mission to rebuild Krypton according to his ideals and to secure its future by conquering the universe. Faced with a bleak outlook, our hero, Seg-El, attempts to unite a dispersed group of resisters in an effort to defeat Zod and restore hope to their beloved planet. SYFY series Krypton returned to San Diego Comic-Con for its second year, as the series' cast and producers looked back on the Superman prequel's first season and spilled some secrets about what we might see in Season 2. Krypton Podcast/DC TV Podcasts participated in the press room for Krypton this year where Lacy Baugher (of Krypton Podcast) chatted with the cast at the round tables to discuss the series.

Krypton star Wallis Day, who plays Nyssa Vex, sat down with the roundtables to talk about her character's Season 1 arc. (Spoiler alert: She's an even bigger Nyssa stan than our co-host Lacy is, and if you listen to Krypton Podcast at all, you know that's a lot.) During the interview, Day discussed:

• What Nyssa's relationship with Jax-Ur will be like in Season 2
• What it's like to be part of a genre show with so many great women on it
• Nyssa's development from a schemer to a more three-dimensional character

Krypton star Shaun Sipos, who plays time-traveler Adam Strange, was present and offered up some thoughts on his character's journey throughout the series' first season. During the roundtable interview, Sipos discussed:

• Adam's role as spokesperson for humanity on Superman's home planet.
• The genuinely collaborative feeling that surrounds the series, specifically, and the Superman mythology, generally
• Adam's Season 2 journey as a type of "rebirth" for the character
• An Alanna mention!
• Adam's sexuality and whether we might see the character fully represented as bisexual at any point. (This answer is at the very end - and make sure you stick around for it, because while it may not be exactly what you want to hear, it is truly awesome.)
