The newest Faith in Progress podcast is a recording of a discussion between about 80 people in Fort Collins (live and virtual) with two spokespeople of the joint Palestinian-Israeli peace group Parents Circle Families Forum.  The group is made up of Israeli and Palestinian families, each of whom has lost a close loved one to the conflict; they have all chosen reconciliation over revenge, and work together for peace.

I recently spoke with Scott Levin of the Anti-Defamation League about the recent sharp increase in anti-Semitism in the country and in Colorado, including steps people can take if they feel they have been targeted, or have witnessed acts of anti-semitism or other forms of hate.

Safe Families for Children is a faith-inspired alternative to children having to enter the state foster care system. As the movement's Northern Colorado director Roxy Tines explains in this new podcast, families experiencing difficulties can voluntarily place their child in a safe home for a limited period, until the difficulties are resolved, with help from volunteers from the organization.

Cross-Cultural Communication is the topic of a class to be offered on October 9 by the Fort Collins Human Relations Commission.  Barb Kistler, vice-chair of the Commission and one of the program's facilitators, tells us about what to expect when we join the class, and how to register for the free event.

Faith Community Nurses are members of faith communities in Fort Collins who  accompany their patients in both their medical care and their spiritual journey during their illness.  On this edition of Faith in Progress, I speak with one of those nurses about her work, and one of her patients about how her Faith Community nurse has helped her through a difficult time.

An occasional event called Our Neighbors' Faith, sponsored by the Interfaith Council, CSU Multifaith and Belief Initiatives, and City of Fort Collins Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, brought people from different faith communities together to learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  This podcast presents a recording of the talks by leaders of that Church, describing their beliefs and practices.

I speak with two members of the staff at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery about two upcoming exhibits at the Museum that complement each other on the shared topic of race and bias:  Skin:  Living Armor, Evolving Identity, and The Bias Inside Us.
