| Ep 127: TINK Positive! | 24 Apr 2024 | 00:37:04 | |
Welcome to Episode 127 of Knit a Spell! This time around, Jim and I unraveled the concept of TINK-ing - that’s knit spelled backwards, for the uninitiated. We delved deep into the philosophical and metaphysical implications of undoing our work, whether it's stitches on a needle or patterns in our lives. I kicked things off by introducing the concept of TINKing, or undoing our knitting as a metaphor for reflection and reconsideration in our craft and personal lives. We explore common scenarios that prompt knitters to undo their work, from mistakes to aesthetic changes, and Jim had some novice insights that were enlightening. The episode takes a mystical turn as we considered undoing in the magical realm, including an interesting practice involving crocheting a chain to represent something one wishes to undo. Jim shares how undoing our knitting can parallel releasing or altering intentions or energies in the magical practice, from breaking habits to transforming relationships. How would you use the act of un-knitting as a magical act? ---
