Sean "Diddy" Combs files for mistrial in federal sex‑trafficking trial

In a bombshell move, Diddy's defense team submitted their second mistrial request on June 7, 2025, arguing that "prosecutorial misconduct" has tainted the trial. According to their motion, key testimony—particularly that of a woman alleging she saw Combs yanking Bryana Bongolan from a Los Angeles balcony—was "demonstrably false." Text messages and hotel records reportedly place Diddy in New York City between September 24–29, 2016, casting serious doubt on the prosecution's timeline.

Additionally, Combs' lawyers claim that photos of alleged injuries were misdated or mislabeled and were introduced after the defense was allegedly prevented from adequately challenging them on cross-examination.

Day 9 of Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial brought explosive testimony from rapper Kid Cudi. He recounted a 2011 incident where Diddy allegedly broke into his home, locked his dog in the bathroom, and later, in 2012, his Porsche was destroyed by a Molotov cocktail.
