The early September New Moon in Virgo is a good time for new beginnings, magical practices, and rituals. It is also the last lunation before the start of eclipse season. 

The impact of Virgo and Saturn provides a grounding energy to the September New Moon. Mercury, the ruler of this New Moon, also brings a sense of ‘getting back on track’ in areas where you may have experienced disorganization.

This Full Moon in Capricorn happens near the solstice.  Expect a general shift in focus, priorities, and emotions with all of these peak energies happening in close proximity. For a personal take on the areas spotlighted by this Full Moon, take note of the house in your chart that has Capricorn on the cusp. As Mars moves into Taurus, we might find ourselves grappling with personal vs partnership matters and trying to find comfort between the two. Mars in Taurus is like a warrior being held back from battle, which allows the heat to cool. Mars is in detriment in Taurus, which might highlight periods of inconsistent motivation but it also promotes an orientation towards peace, unity and common ground.

Mars square Pluto later this week will highlights themes of power and control. Mars in detriment can be a strong advocate for those who might be disempowered.
