I think more is in store on Monday night, Are the Bears beating the Eagles behind Case Keenum at QB?  The bad news from the weekend at QB: Caleb suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain and is expected to miss multiple weeks. The good news, all the people who called him out for being soft have to eat crow.

The White Sox began the day one game behind the Cleveland Guardians. Pete Crow-Armstrong joined the 40-40 club by stealing his 40th base to go along with his major league-leading 45 home runs, and the Chicago Cubs clinched their second straight postseason berth a 2-1 victory over the Miami Marlins on Thursday.

Hour 2: Former Chicago Bears Super Bowl Champion and Bears radio analyst Tom Thayer joined Kap & J. Hood with the latest updates on the Chicago Bears season. Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears still are not ruling Caleb out for Monday, but Case Keenum was the QB who practiced and spoke. Ben Johnson really sung his praises at the podium. What chances do you give the Bears Monday with Keenum?  Practice windows open for both Shemar Turner and Noah Sewell, but not Kyler Gordon. I'm at a firm with zero games played for Kyler at this point.
9/24 6AM: Chicago White Sox & Cubs Give It One More Try At Clinching A Playoff Spot.....24 sept. 202600:53:03
Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox and Cubs both had a chance to clinch a postseason berth tonight, but the White Sox lost to the Royals after their pitching imploded early last night. Hudson only got one out as the opener, and the Sox never fully clawed back from a 4-0 early deficit. They will likely clinch this week, whether they do it themselves or Houston loses games, but it feels a bit like the magic has run out. The Cubs hopefully will get another walk-off win, but the good news there is that Philly lost, so at least they won't fall to the bottom, and hopefully the Dodgers can beat SD, so everyone keeps pace. Still, handle your own business and clinch!
9/23 8AM: Shot or No Shot23 sept. 202600:41:06
Hour 3: Kap & J. Hood played Shot or No Shot, took a trip Around The NFL and the Kap & J. Hood Cut of The Day.

Hour 2: Former Chicago Bears Wide Receiver and afternoon radio co-host ESPN Chicago Tom Waddle joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears vs Eagles.  Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox bats exploded tonight to the tune of 14 runs and counting to keep pace with Cleveland and at least maintain their lead over Houston. This is a great sign of what they can be next week when the calendar turns to the Postseason, and I think we'd be silly to write them off as an early exit. What is the ceiling for this Sox team when they hit?
9/23 6AM: The Chicago Bears: Who's The Starting QB????23 sept. 202600:52:50
Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed next man up gets another man... Tyson Bagent is in the league's concussion protocol, and as of right now Case Keenum is in line to start on Monday Night Football... I don't have a big reaction to this, because I don't think the Bears chances to win Monday change much going from Bagent to Keenum.  Ian Rapaport reported that Caleb will miss 2-4 weeks with his hamstring injury, but the Bears are still resisting officially ruling him out on Monday. Would you even want him to play if he were cleared? Shouldn't the Bears be extra cautious with this?

Hood gave their starting pitching lineups for the White Sox & Cubs potential playoff run.
9/22 6AM: Reaction to Caleb Williams Injury Update!!!!22 sept. 202600:47:19
Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears getting the best possible news on Caleb's injury, and the reaction nationally has been to make fun of him for not being tough and being carted off the field with a grade 1 hamstring injury. Do you find this to be a bizarre reaction from fans, personally, but fans are going to fan?   With the Caleb news trending positive, are we more On To Philadelphia and the result from the Vikings game goes in the garbage, or are there new concerns about this team going forward?

Hood discussed the NFC North, it a two-team race between the Bears and Vikings? Is Patrick Mahomes still at the top of the NFL QB Mountain? Is Josh Allen the best QB in the NFL?
9/18 6AM: NFL Week 2: Bears vs Vikings18 sept. 202600:52:21
Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood on a Dr. Pepper Bears Friday! Do Bears fans have any concerns about a letdown against the Vikings after the 59-point outburst, or is this smooth sailing against a Brian Flores defense that Ben Johnson has a lot of success against?  Dennis Allen seemed frustrated to get questions about his defense performance last week today at Halas.  What do you want *more* as a fan on Sunday: an encore of the offensive performance, albeit maybe not to the tune of 59 points, or a bounce back defensive performance?

9/17 6AM: The White Sox Lose 1st Place in the AL Central17 sept. 202600:52:08
Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox, sucking the oxygen out of the room now with another disaster in Cleveland, and the division lead has fully slipped away. Worse, their playoff lead is now just a game and a half. Will the season be a failure if the Sox doesn't make the playoffs?

Hood discussed White Sox & Cubs bullpens issues; what was Craig Counsell's bullpen plan exactly? Did Will Venable's opener strategy backfire again?
9/16 6AM: Did the White Sox Blow A Major Opportunity?16 sept. 202600:49:31
Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox losing in walk-off fashion as the Cleveland Guardians are a half game behind the Sox for first place in the AL Central.   fall of the White Sox Did Will Venable's opener strategy backfire again?  Surrendering a 3-0 lead in the 1st. Davis Martin was good in a short outing. Is this opener strategy stupid, or is it the best of all bad options?  What was Craig Counsell's bullpen plan exactly? Just go 2 pitches for Palencia, then Webb, then 40 pitches for Edward Cabrera. What is that?
9/15 8AM: Shot or No Shot/Albert Breer15 sept. 202600:41:03

Only the Bills and Ravens seemed comparable after one game.  Caleb Williams featured on the back of the Sun times; has Caleb Williams matured as a QB in the NFL? Does Bears fans do "Green Bay Sucks" chant too much, is that true? The Chicago Bears Defense isn't the worst in the NFL but needs major improving!
9/14 8AM: Shot or No Shot14 sept. 202600:43:56

Hour 1:  It's a Bears Victory Monday; Kap & J. Hood discussed an offensive explosion from the Bears who pulled off a huge victory, beating the Panthers 59-37 in historic fashion. The defense allowed more points than they would have liked, but they scored enough points to win any game that they played.  During the offseason, Bears head coach Ben Johnson said that he wanted to have the highest-scoring offense in the history of the NFL. That's a lofty goal, but it's hard to discount his goal when he comes out and leads a 59-point effort in Week 1.

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears who have become a very popular upset pick against the Panthers from the sharps, but the public loves them to walk into Carolina and leave with a win... Is there any feeling the Bears are walking into a week 1 trap? What is the biggest concern for Sunday?
