| Girls Just Wanna Fly - #25 Lindsey Ripa flying in UTAH - WE ARE HERE AND WE FLY BIG AIR! | 05 Jan 2022 | 00:49:42 | |
Lindsey began flying about 4 and a half years ago with no prior exposure to aviation of any kind. Truly, she didn't even know that paragliding existed. Once she started flying, she caught the bug, saved up some money, and quit her job to travel the world and build air time. Now she resides in Monroe, Utah, home to the famous Red Rocks Fall Fly-In. The best moment of flight were when she can conquer my fears and see where in the world she ends up, whether that's in a cow pasture a glide from launch or by the side of a highway 100 km away. Cheerleading women in free flight is also something she is very passionate about. She is really encouraged to see the growth of women in this sport the last few years and hope to keep that trend going!
| #26 Meet Gillian Wintermute who finished training at Aviator in Florida and now working to become an Instructor herself at Aviator and hear the Tribute I made for Chris Leipler | 17 Dec 2021 | 01:05:14 | |
Meet Gillian Wintermute, who is a 21 yr old gal from New Jersey. She began flying Paramotors a year ago after being introduced to them by her boyfriend and being immersed in the community. For awhile she let fear of failure and self doubt stop her from believing that flying was something she was capable of doing. But since she was surprised and placed in the Aviator Paramotor class, her life has since changed. Flying is definitely one of her biggest passions in life and she is now learning to become an instructor, to teach others how to fly because she just wants to share this incredible experience and superpower with everyone. Join us Wednesday night at ParamotorGirl.com on YouTube, and join in the chat, asking Gillian some questions. At the end you will hear some sad music, and sorry you can't view the video I put together as a Tribute to Chris Leipler from New York, who the PPG community lost this past week from an incident down at the Compound in Florida. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** I am the host for Girls Just Wanna Fly, a weekly show each Sunday night at 7:00pm Central right here YouTube. | Episode 21 4x National Women's Paragliding Champion Bianca Heinrich from Boston Massachusetts | 11 Nov 2021 | 01:03:33
Join us Wednesday evening at 7pm central, in the chat, and ask Bianca questions. She started paragliding in 1995 in Germany. At the time, living in Hamburg in the northern part of Germany, which is quite flat. So she starting flying at the coast and dunes. She had friends in Hamburg who got her into the sport. After a year or so of them teaching her how to kite and fly at the coast, she figured she would get a license and went down to southern Germany where the big mountains were. She got her license in 1996 and moved to the U.S. in 2000. That's when she started to get more and more into thermal flying and XC since the location and weather was so much better than back in Hamburg. She suddenly was flying all the time and really enjoyed the New England flying community. Originally, she was supposed to go back to Germany after 2 yrs, but decided to stick around for grad school. She went for her PhD at Boston University in Cell and Molecular Biology, which was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. At some point she got into competitions - they teach you a lot and you get to meet new people. Over time a lot of friendships developed out of that. The flying community in the U.S. is wonderful! She calls it my PG family these days. She went on to become the National Women's Champion FOUR TIMES. It is fun to travel around the world to explore new flying sites- Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and of course Europe. She and her partner hike & fly competitions as he enjoys that. In the future, they may take small groups to the Alps and the Pyrenees since we know these areas quite well.
She has gone through a bit of a cancer scare, discovering a large tumor in her uterus, but hopefully caught early, to live a long and healthy life! She now does CT scans EVERY 3 MONTHS, and doing great so far!! She wants to encourage all ladies to do regular check-ups with their doctors!!

Meet Melinda Bliss! She was bit by the aviation bug back in 2020, and immediately fell in love with powered parachutes. She did the bulk of her training in Dunnellon Florida, starting with sport pilot, then proceeded to New Hampshire to work on her private pilot certificate. However, she wasn't ready to stop there!! She pressed on to become a CFI, and in a short 10 months, she accomplished her goal!! Since then she has been training students to be powered parachute land pilots at various locations along the east coast. My goal is to spread the word about this sport that she loves so very much, and to encourage other girls, that they can DO IT TOO ❤️
| JUST WANNA FLY -143 meet Hennie Espere Brink, Founder of the Gaggle APP, lots of us use while flying | 06 Mar 2024 | 01:11:19 | |
Streamed live on Feb 21, 2024Bring your questions, and ideas, to give give to the designer of this cool APP that lots of of use, and he will be happy to listen and write down our ideas for any improvements to Gaggle! Hennie is a tech enthusiast and software developer with a 12 year career in designing and creating software solutions for companies around the world. In 2020, his journey took him to the skies when he discovered paramotoring. Realizing the lack of modern apps for pilots, he created Gaggle, an app designed to enhance the flying experience for every pilot. Gaggle, now a staple in the paramotor community, boasts over 4,000 pilots that record more than 20,000 flights each month. It's packed with features to keep pilots safe, informed, and foster connections among them, including an in-flight computer, alerts about nearby aircraft, and the ability to share live-locations. Hennie's vision for Gaggle goes beyond simply tracking flights; he's committed to making it the go-to app for pilots seeking community, progressing their craft, and finding more opportunities to fly. This year, Gaggle has plans to introduce more community-driven features while refining existing functionality. Hennie is also busy working on his next product, a solution aimed towards the motorbike loving adventurers out there.

| JUST WANNA FLY- #124- Meet Jonathan Allen from Flagstaff, Arizona PPG Pilot & more | 14 Feb 2024 | 01:08:50 | |
Meet Jonathan - I was Born and raised and live in Flagstaff AZ. Growing up, my dad would always say that our family motto was “Work hard and play harder.” I’ve tried my best to do that. Me and my wife have six kids (all boys), and a garage full of toys that reflect my long history of playing with things that have a throttle or that float or that fly. I took an into paragliding flight in 1996 off of Haleakala in Maui and still remember that sense of wonder as the ground dropped away. I learned to windsurf when I was a teenager, and then learned to kiteboard in my 20’s then started playing with hydrofoils in my 30’s. As a kid I was constantly “designing” sail boats and catamarans and hydrofoil catamarans and wanted to be an airline pilot or an aeronautical engineer when I grew up. I didn’t become either of those things, but the curiosity remained. In 2020, a friend of mine sent me a video of Tucker Gott flying around Sedona & Meteor Crater, which are near Flagstaff, and it was like a switch flipped in my head. I knew I had to learn to fly Paramotors. I signed up for training with Epic Paramotor and trained in Eagle Mountain Ut with Noah Rasheta in May of 2021. I have around 170 hours of PPG flight time in. As a result of how much I love flying PPG, I decided I wanted to learn how to fly airplanes & bush planes, so I began training for my Private Pilot Certificate in September of 2023. I have 8 General Aviation training flights and 15 landings under my belt so far. My favorite things about flying PPG are the ability to explore new, often shockingly beautiful areas, the sense of freedom combined with the requirement for self-sufficiency, and the many incredible people I’ve met thru this sport. | Just Wanna Fly -163. Molly the Pom takes Christian, in Wisconsin (Skydiving & Paramotoring) Just Wanna Fly 1.01K subscribers Analytics Edit video 15 Share | 23 Sep 2024 | 01:05:10
My name is Christian Cliffgard, my pomeranian canine is Molly. I live in Elkhorn, WI, and grew up in East Troy, WI, next to the airport in East Troy. I am 51, Molly is 11 years old. I am married, my wife is Deb, and we also have 2 other dogs (Winter and Javi, both are heeler mixes.) I am an independent business owner/operator, performing tile installations mainly, and consulting for some companies and architects out there. Just trying to keep it simple. My background is in building construction, light engineering, and being resourceful in fixing vehicles. I grew up in the country, near a stream and small forest. As kids, my pops had us learn a bit of wild life, and we also had horses growing up. When my pops bought a new horse, I would test him/her out in the field. We also raised a raccoon from a baby (eyes not open yet,) to an adult. The raccoon was one of the gang of us kids. My family consisted of my 2 brothers and 1 sister. We also raised a hawk from a hatchling, rescued an owl, and had some cats and a couple dogs growing up. Growing up, being the oldest, my pops always utilized me to work on vehicles, home projects and more, so I would learn, and gain a better knowledge of building and fixing things. Our entire life was under the landing approach of the East Troy Airport, and we would see planes, helicopters, skydivers, and specialty craft every so often on their way to EAA Oshkosh. After high school in a small town, I got into college, and did some construction as well, which was part of my degree I was pursuing. In the end, I ended up making my leap in construction management, without finishing my degree, or the last half year of school. I had also went through an officer program for the USMC, which gave you the option to join as an officer upon graduation, without having to be obligated, since it wasn't a scholarship or program to fund my schooling. I passed the program, but in the end, it wasn't for me in the long term, so I accepted an honorable discharge for the program I completed. After school, my activities included whitewater kayaking, rodeo boat style, motorcycles, a little on mountain bikes. I had always been interested in motorcycles and flying. I got super interested in motorcycles after watching the movie TRON. As for flying, the steven speilberg movie '1941' with Wild Bill Kelsoe (John Belushi,) as the crazy army air corps P-40 pilot, is what initially caught my eye to flying, then of course STAR WARS was the next one to hit home. In 2001, after many attempts to get friends to go skydiving, and everyone backing out, I went by myself, and after that first jump (which was AFF, Accelerated Freefall,) I was hooked, and kept going to attain my license. Years later, 2008, I actually rented the house on the dropzone in East Troy for about 8 years, before getting married, and merging into one household. In 2013, I lost my dog of 18 years to old age, and within 2 days, I looked into Molly through a breeder in Foster City, Michigan (the UP.) She was 4 weeks at the time, and I came back 3 weeks later to bring her home. She became my shadow, and keeps me in her site at all times. She has a bit of separation anxiety, so I take her almost everywhere. I had her riding motorcycles within 3 months. After a year, and being fully grown, I started constructing a harness system for her to skydive with me. After having it all completed and set with doggles, we went, and she was secure , as long as she was with me. That first jump, she thought it would be like a car window, but then we jumped and she froze for a couple seconds, trying to figure this out. After that, she pushed her paws against the air flow of freefall, and just started looking around. After we landed, she was excited, and running circles around me, trying to figure out what was next. A few years later, 2018, I started looking into paramotoring, as I saw it on the net, and was interested. Shortly after, I found an instructor, and started training to become an ultrlight pilot. The training was easy, because I had over 10 years experience in the air under a canopy/wing. Molly went to all my training, and once I was ready to solo fly, I just kept on going, eventually taking Molly all the time I could. Only time she is not up is when it is under 45 degrees on the ground. After flying for years, I started going to Fly-ins, meeting others in this discipline, and enjoying the culture. (Every sport has a culture to it, like kayaking or skydiving..) You can talk about the sport with minimal detail, and others in that sport understand you without too much explanation. | JUST WANNA FLY-123-Meet Jon-Alan Drh Martin Owner of Wind Pirate PPG Gear, Saint David, Arizona | 14 Feb 2024 | 01:15:28
Meet Jon-Alan - I have loved all things aviation as long as I can remember I grew up on a ranch in rural Idaho and was involved in rodeo and mule shows at an early age. As a teen I loved to fly and had family friends that owned bush planes that I would climb into every opportunity me and my dad bought a hang glider trike about 16 years ago and then I was introduced to paramotor 10 years ago when I moved to Maricopa Arizona and found Airparamo right down the road from my house. I took one flight and was instantly hooked it took me a couple years to get enough money for one and I began my paramotor journey in 2015 working with Mo there as an assistant instructor for a couple years and then ventured out on my own starting Windpirate PPG . My dad had a saddle shop and custom leather shop so I was already very familiar with commercial sewing and failing to find any high quality covers on the market at the time for my paramotor I decided to make one and immediately had interest from others in my flight group for orders so I began making and selling custom paramotor covers, kiting harnesses and a few other items. I began training and providing paramotor equipment full time in 2017. traveling to the Northwest in the summer and training in Arizona in the winter Last year I purchased 40 acres near tombstone Arizona to put in a full service paramotor flight Park with a grass field . I am currently An Instructor admin with the USPPA and do instructor clinics as well as regular classes

| JUST WANNA FLY - 119 - SKY HIKER MIKE - Boulder Colorado. PPG PILOT Flying Flamingo Jade 783 subscribers Analytics Edit video | 20 Dec 2023 | 01:07:17 | |
Meet SKY HIKER MIKE - I grew up in Minnesota in the Plymouth Minnetonka area, ended up in Brainerd for High school. College brought me to Colorado and I could never go back. I studied aerospace engineering, astrophysics and planetary sciences. After college, I worked for a couple different companies, settling in at an energy research company. But I didn’t really like the work. I had always been wanting to learn to fly, but was always deterred by the costs. I would go to the local airport, talk about lessons, then I would tally up the cost and just couldn’t justify it. Then find myself there a couple years later remembering I had already done this… eventually I stumbled upon paramotoring. And just like everyone, started with “that’s crazy”, then doing more and more research and more video bingeing, understanding more of the risks, I just had to do it. Got training. On my first flight attempt I face planted, went home to think it out. Next day I started flying and nailed out several flights. Since then it has just been and epic adventure after epic adventure. Ive also always loved teaching, mostly math and sciences, but it’s has been extremely rewarding combining the two passions to open Sky Hikers.

| JUST WANNA FLY -#115- Meet Heather White, newer PPC Pilot from Bainbridge Georgia | 18 Dec 2023 | 01:06:42 | |
Meet Heather - I am the daughter of an Air Force Pilot and an Airline Stewardess. I went to a Santana Concert in Charlotte and saw a Groupon for an introductory flight in a hanglider in Ashville, so I went for it! The ride was amazing! An ultra lite took us up 2000 feet. We unhooked and slowly spiraled down, an eagle flying with us! The ride lasted less than 15 minutes. I was hooked. I started shopping for hang gliders. I knew I wanted a longer hang time without being in a closed cockpit. So I kept searching for a mode of flying that would fit the bill. When I took my grandlove on her 10 year old trip to Washington DC, my brother was flying a backpack style powered parachute. Wow. This was close.....but....I weighed more back then and this girl was not running to get in the air unless someone was chasing me with a knife. I continued searching and happened to come across a video on youtube of a buckeye dream machine powered parachute. Then the serious shopping began. I found one nearby. Still at this point, I had never even flown in one. But, I brought money with me, he took me up in it, and I bought it right away. It was a two seater and had a 10 gallon fuel tank so he said it would only be legal if I got a Sport Pilot license and pointed me in the direction of Bill Wallace and Melinda Bliss. Three months later I was training with them. At this point it had been two and a half years from the hang gliding experience. Because I still work full time, and live 4 hours from the training, and winds were horrible the last year and a half. It took me a year and three months to complete my Sport Pilots Licensing . I have just purchased a second powered parachute, a phoenix that has been frankensteined with another machine. I love the chute in this one, a hybrid APCO. I love the seating, and I love the amount of structure so I can have more places to hang bags and my radio/com system. I look forward to semi retiring and hitting the road with my husband, a toy hauler, our kayaks, motorcycles and my powered parachute. Hoping to fly in every state!

| JUST WANNA FLY-78 - Let's talk to Eric Lear PPG Pilot, and General Aviation Student | 25 Jun 2023 | 01:41:58 | |
Let's bring Eric back to the screen.... Eric raced a professional off road buggy circuit for 15 years, from the U.P. Michigan ,Wisconsin, throughout the midwest. He has for years building RC Model airplanes, since 1992, and now has 18 on display. He was raised in Alaska from 6yrs old until he 21yrs old. He then went to learn the HVAC business. Now for the past 20 years has owned a Lennox Dealership, in Northern Wisconsin. In 2020, Eric convinced Jade to check out Paramotoring as MadCity Paragliding. Eric learned both foot-launch and trike during his training. And has become a USPPA Instructor with Foot-launch, Trike and has his Tandem exemption. We have now opened up, Northern Lights Paramotor, LLC. and working with students, between their busy schedules and his full-time job. Eric has also started training, and working towards his private pilots license. And we just recently purchased a Piper Cherokee 180, along with a hangar. We have just this past week completed putting in a insulated ceiling and heat, so our students will be able to have a comfortable atmosphere of learning the books, on how to fly a paramotor We also put together our 1st Northern Lights Fly-in, July 2022, and plan on having our 2nd Fly-in July 21-23, 2023. So if you are in general aviation, or a paramotor pilot, please mark this weekend on your calendar. www.NorthernLightsParamotor.com
| Just Wanna Fly-84- Justin C. Mitchell -self taught PPG, retired Air Traffic Control-retired Marine | 03 May 2023 | 01:28:20 | |
Justin was born and raised in Emporia VA and moved to the Outer Banks NC during high school. Joined the Marine Corps straight out and went into Air traffic control. Did that till I got out in 2017 for 5 years never deployed and stayed in NC the whole time. Met my wife during this time. Decided to stay in the area when I got out and wanted to stay in the aviation field. Picked up some odd jobs until I got on with Northrup Grumman working on the F35 for a little bit. Then got a job with the federal government with Defense Logistics Agency and have been moving around within them since. Got into flying paramotors pretty much because it was the cheapest way to get me in the air and the freest form of flying you can have.

| Just Wanna Fly -81- Meet Kenny Schnatter w/Pennsylvania PPG - Saylorsburg, PA | 03 May 2023 | 01:12:29 | |
www.ParamotorPA.com Meet Kenny: My dream of flying began when I was a little boy and grew up racing motocross. As I grew up every jump I hit I wanted to go higher and further and wanted to hit the biggest jumps I could find and couldn't get enough! In the year of 2006 that all changed when I took my first paramotor flight!! It was like hitting a jump and not coming down for an hour later (the dirt bike of the sky) the feeling was amazing! After flying a while I wanted to share the experience so I then got a powered parachute and a sport pilots licenses so I could start taking people for rides, this lasted for a few years and then I wanted more or so I thought. I went for training for small fixed wing such as minimax, quicksilver, piper cub , Rans S12xl and it was fun but started getting more and more expensive , hanger rent, fuel, maintenance etc.etc. and then the fun factor wasn't there anymore. I thought I wanted to climb the ladder to bigger better things but I was wrong. The higher I climbed the ladder the less fun I was having. What I was looking for was at the beginning that's powered paragliding! PPG is Amazing, Safe and Affordable and there is nothing like it! This sport will change your life and you will meet amazing people along the way. If there is anything I can do to help you please feel free to contact me so I can be part of turning you dream into reality !
| JUST WANNA FLY -#79 Martin Henderson talks Safety/Etiquette at Paramotor Fly-Ins & drop in w/Kyle O | 03 May 2023 | 02:02:01 | |
Meet Martin.... Started in 14 with Mixer. Took my first flight without anyone there. Funny how wrong then. On a quad with 73 flights. Ventured over to foot launching by peer pressure with around 930 flights and 500 hours flight time. Assorted wings with Dudek being the primary brand. Traveled throughout Midwest to fly ins for years and will continue. Seen a bunch of accidents (avoidable) by pilot choices or not knowing/ sufficient experience . Safety/etiquette at fly ins are never covered enough and even if there's a pilot's briefing pilot's will do what they want anyways. Lots of wild west styled fly ins that I've learned to stay away from. Martin Air Bossing has turned into a job that has meaning to me to help others. I enjoy helping blown launches to meet people and small talk with them. My first experience at beach blast really put a impression with the patience the air boss gave me and for that I'm always grateful. And special guest appearance from Kyle O tonight #trikeflying #KyleO #paramotor #Endlessfootdrag #EFD #Airboss #Footlaunch #ppg
| JUST WANNA FLY-#80 Leo Kiesling- lead kiting instructor with AirCapital PPG Wichita, Kansas | 03 May 2023 | 01:22:26 | |
Meet Leo: www.AirCapitalPPG.com Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, into a family of professional wrestlers, Leo has always had an appetite for adventure. Working as a street artist in his early teens, Leo pursued broadcasting as a career in the mid 90’s. Working in both radio and television he made a name for himself in the Las Vegas Valley. Looking for new opportunities Leo started traveling for ESPN as a camera man in early ‘02 and landed in Kansas a few years later. After several years in Wichita television, Leo took a leap into the world of Special Effects in 2011 and began working in the Haunt and film industry. Leo continues to make his living as a sculptor, painter and professional artist today. In 2018, while browsing for adventure, Leo watched a YouTube video on powered Paragliding and never looked back. After searching the Wichita area for a PPG instructor, to no avail, he put the idea on a shelf. Then in late 2019, one of Leo’s coworkers posted on Facebook about paramotors in Wichita. Thrilled, he followed the trail back to AirCapital PPG. After meeting with Bryant and checking out the equipment, Leo started training February 2020! After a thrilling summer of Kiting and ground school, Leo’s first flight was August 23rd of that same year. Leo has become very enthusiastic and safety conscious about all aspects of the sport. “I would have to say first flights are my favorite!! Watching someone go from first day of kiting to their first time in the air is truly special!” With a fondness for people and a love for flying, Leo is always learning and striving for excellence, through experience and commitment, at AirCapital PPG. #AirCapitalPPG #Paramotor #PPG #Justwannafly #Pilot #PPGPilot

Meet Joey and Erin Sibley - We trained at FlyPPG June '22 for our honeymoon 🥰 we had done sky diving, which was expensive and inconvenient. We did para gliding in Colorado, but we don't have mountains here, so we decided we needed to put a huge motor on our backs 🤣 we love to adventure together and face new challenges. We've climbed most of a 14er, jumped out of planes, gone zip lining, and countless other adventures. Joey is truly my best friend and my favorite person. Life is definitely better together! Our PPG story is totally a love story 🥰
