When confronted with the truth or rebuked, these novices can either choose to repent and become genuine prophets or rebel and become false prophets.

Joseph stresses the importance of being led by the Spirit when exercising prophetic gifts, rather than following our own selfish desires. Additionally, he emphasizes the necessity of training in God's Word and prayer to operate effectively in the prophetic, as the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.
