They had never seen that version of The Lord of the Rings, but bizarrely, Tyler recalled having seen an entirely different version of the movie. The Fellowgroup got lucky as the orc commander struggled to land a blow, and eventually GanDelf redirected one of Adam’s missed strikes into the orc and the fight was won. Immediately, Tyler stormed into the water in search of Denethea and broke his toe on an orc helm, but Guy and Adam got him back to safety before he succumbed to the deep water and swift current. When they finally found Denethea, it was too late to save her and they were forced to admit she was truly lost to them. Del said some final words and they built a simple cairn to lay her to rest. The Fellowgroup arrived at the burnt, desolate landscape that used to be Lothlorien. While they battled their own dismay, they came across a charred and gored body bearing a sign that read “No safe harbours for the fellowship of the ring” and Guy recognized the figure to Celeborn, Lord of Lothlorien. They found only two elves still barely alive and learned that the destruction had happened at the hands of orcs, a fire-breathing dragon, and group called the Riders of Rohan. The troupe arose from their rest only to encounter the Punksters, a bunch of goons demanding that Tyler repay the gold he apparently owed them. Del got to work covertly conjuring gold pieces with her reality paints after Tyler removed the curse from her armour, and Shadow Nemesis tried to convince the gang to go after Gregernant Mahn instead, but it was New Rogue who somehow converted the Punksters to become followers Ezra and they eventually left peacefully. The troupe just defeated a demon-gorilla only to find themselves face to face with a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex. New Rogue managed to use his healing magic to bring both Tyler and Shadow Nemesis back from the brink of death, Shadow Nemesis tried to convince Dwarf-Ivan to distract the T-Rex so he could burrow into its brain, and Del instructed her giant badger to help Tyler and it tore into the dinosaur but was then promptly ripped apart. Having been swallowed whole by a giant owl, Del managed to stab and burn her way out of the bird only to catch the attention of a dinosaur-like creature. The troupe’s tense standoff continued, when suddenly a giant owl swooped in, swallowed Del whole, and took off. The troupe challenged Shadow Nemesis on his motivations for remaining with them, which ended in him throwing the Doctor Deputy into a well, but Tyler rescued the squire and caused him to reflect on the merits of doing good. The troupe found themselves fighting for their lives against the Talisman of Ultimate Evil. Shadow Nemesis freed himself from his symbiote’s charm and a game of talisman hot potato ensued. Tyler caught it first and immediately died, Del then got hold of it and started dying too, but New Rogue revivified and stabilized them both. Just minutes before the troupe met the troll, Del and the Doctor Deputy had found themselves face to face with the ghost of Angelina, who was desperate for a divorce from her also-deceased husband Ted. Still trying to infiltrate Angelina’s farm, the boys had discovered a well with clean water leading up to the barn when they were ambushed by a massive green monster hurling boulders. Gandalf the Grey was defeated and Del found herself suddenly full of magic, having finally taken up the mantle of a fallen character. With the rest of the troupe having safely surrendered, Shadow Nemesis was chased by cockatrices and immediately pecked to death. As the troupe faced seven elderly gnomes, Shadow Nemesis began to rage and the fight began. The Fellowgroup’s fight at the bridge of Khazad-Dûm became more desperate as the Balrog directed the goblins and undead dwarves towards Yolo. Tyler drew his sword to entice the Balrog away from Adam, but took a brutal hit from the monster’s flaming weapon, Del helped Tyler limp away as Guy carried the hobbits across the bridge, and Adam accidentally interrupted Gandalf’s powerful spell while trying to save him. As Gandalf made his last stand against the flaming monstrosity, his final effort was interrupted by an arrow to his throat, and as the wizard turned to ash, Del automatically took up his hat and staff. Ignorant of the happenings inside the blacksmith’s shop, New Rogue received a special amulet from the Watchers, and Del received a hand mirror through which she could speak with Lucretia. Meanwhile, Shadow Nemesis shot and stabbed the blacksmith to death, and then—after talking it over with Shadow Master—ate the brain, threw the body into the forge, and decided that if there were no consequences, then the murder wouldn’t really count. But when he emerged from the shop, he was confronted by furious townsfolk and guards who had witnessed his crime, and in the ensuing fight, the Doctor Deputy was cut down. Can the squire be saved? With Tyler still missing, the rest of Wet Change entered a pastoral town, where the townsfolk were waiting to see whose side the General would choose in an upcoming battle. The description of the General just so happened to match Tyler. The troupe were asked to retrieve an important icon for the battle, and so Shadow Nemesis, New Rogue, and the Doctor Deputy secured cockatrices to ride on their quest, and Del learned that ghosts were conspicuously absent from this realm. As Tyler clung to a rapidly fading Guy Bradford, the rest of Wet Change—including New Rogue—fell into the mist. Shadow Nemesis was attacked by yet another member of the Nutter family, but the troupe defeated him and found themselves in the picturesque woods of a new domain. Del received a text from her friend Laura and discovered that they’d been gone for a year in earth-time, they came upon a suffering orc and realized they needed to start solving this domain’s mysteries, and New Rogue suggested leaving a sign for Tyler.
