Off on her own quest, Del played into the White Witch’s ego and convinced her to fight with them in Middle-earth. The witch was flattered and intrigued at the prospect of looting another realm then returning to Narnia to rule it. Over at the castle, Guy grew uncomfortable as Mr. Tumnus became enamoured with him, so he ran away toward the Wardrobe to guard the entrance back to Middle-earth. Aslan agreed to help them in Middle-earth, but he wouldn’t speak for anyone else in Narnia, so it was up to Adam and Tyler to speak with the animals. The Fellowgroup decided to take Sir Christopher Lee’s advice and head to Minas Tirith in search of the portals to the other fictional realms they sought. Adam and Tony scoot-raced down the tower, GanDelf and Yolo got drunk, and Guy tried and failed to get the Ents to carry them to Minas Tirith. The journey proved difficult and, not long after setting out, they ran into a group of orcs. Yolo tried to distract them, but fell in the mud, GanDelf used her magic to grease the ground and trip them up, Adam and Tony Dumdum shoved boulders toward them, and Guy readied his bow. Can the Fellowgroup defeat a band of orcs without the help of the Rohirrim or Ents? Sir Christopher Lee bestowed upon the Fellowgroup as much knowledge as he could before they set out once more. He told them the true story, of the hobbits sneaking into Mordor while Aragorn distracted Sauron with battle at his gate and an army of the dead, how Del’s moths had reached the realms of Terry Brooks, Terry Pratchett, and C. S. Lewis, how Smaug the dragon might be convinced to help them, and how the Sword of Shannara could show Martin the truth of what he was doing. Guy, Adam, and GanDelf collected the others, and Yolo helped GanDelf deal with another dead moth by giving a pep talk. But will pep talks carry them to Minas Tirith? While Tyler babysat Yolo and Tony Dumdum, Sir Christopher Lee imparted vital information to the rest of the Fellowgroup. George R. R. Martin had taken on the role of Sauron, not maliciously, but rather to explore other possible endings for the story. However, when he introduced some of his own creations, he had inadvertently opened a door into the real world. Wet Change tried to impact the story themselves by writing out a scene in which Martin was destroyed, but it didn’t work, they all gained a bunch of shadow for plotting a murder, and they decided to just proceed with the original quest. But can they find the very important Sword of Shannara? Tyler took Yolo and Tony Dumdum aside so the rest could have a frank conversation with Sir Christopher Lee and, after chatting for a bit, they realized they were all on the same side. Christopher Lee had extensive knowledge of the true story, but remembered the real-world slightly differently. Guy’s palantir seemed to wake up in the presence of another orb like it, and the famous actor told them that the dark lord had used the device to communicate with Saruman and twist the wizard to his will. Will the discovery that the dark lord is none other than George SauR-Ron Martin get the Fellowgroup any closer to defeating him? The Fellowgroup tied up loose ends before departing for Isengard. GanDelf was advised by Galadriel to try to cure Saruman of his shadow before resorting to fighting, Yolo showed emotional growth as he reflected on how he had treated Frodo, and Guy learned from Arwen that the palantirs were long-range communication devices. They travelled with the Ents to Isengard, and saw signs of heavy industry, but it seemed to be abandoned. When the approached the door of the tower, the wizard Saruman greeted them and revealed that he was Sir Christopher Lee. But will the famed actor be able to help the Fellowgroup restore the fractured story? The Fellowgroup let Frollum escape! Again! So, they split up to search for him. Now more shadowy than ever, Adam began to give in to his greedy impulses, GanDelf helped Guy find his missing sword and they uncovered a survivor in the rubble, and Tyler patiently explained to Yolo how wrong it was to call anyone who joined them the “New” version of someone they’d lost. Accepting they had lost Frollum, the headed to bed. Tyler grew less shadowy as he donated his mattress to the infirmary and Adam kept his shadow when he got weird about Tony sleeping in his chair. Will GanDelf’s meeting with Galadriel help them on the next step in their journey? The Fellowgroup tried to come up with a way to reach the Frodo within Frollum. GanDelf failed to commune with her echo of Gandalf and had an unsettling vision of Walker. They all followed Adam’s suggestion to improvise a happy song, and miraculously, the group’s discordant singing brought Frodo back to himself. But it soon became clear that Frodo was still enamoured with the ring. As he slipped back into Gollum, Adam encourage GanDelf to flashbang him as punishment and they gained even more shadow. As they argued about their next move, Frollum escaped. With a day to rest, the Fellowgroup tied up some loose ends. Guy and Arwen shared a pleasant intimate experience, Tyler saw a doctor and got his bleeding under control so he could start to heal, and Galadriel warned Adam that she saw the potential for darkness within him and had brought Tony Dumdum along to help keep it at bay. GanDelf, meanwhile, found Yolo, who asked her to speak with Frollum to see if Frodo could become himself again. As they waited for Tyler to arrive to speak with Frollum, GanDelf entered her mindscape to commune with the original Gandalf. But will she find a way to get through to Frodo? With the enemies of Rohan scattered into the trees and the Ents at rest for the day, the Fellowgroup was finally able to take somewhat of a break. While Guy and Arwen spent some private quality time together, Tyler was called upon to reassure everyone that everything was okay. GanDelf volunteered Adam to tag team the inspirational speech with Tyler, Yolo butted in with meaningless platitudes, and GanDelf capped it off, but the speech ultimately fell flat. Théoden came to the rescue and wrapped it up by preparing the Rohirrim to travel to Gondor to aide in their fight against evil. But can the Fellowgroup avoid being taken to Isengard first? The Fellowgroup had to figure out what to do about all the trees that had appeared, especially the one that had just torn an orc in half before their eyes. Guy tried to reason with the tree, Ent actually, called Treebeard, while Adam wisely removed Tony Dumdum from the conversation. Treebeard was eventually swayed by Guy’s impassioned speech, but then he revealed that he had been sent to aide the Fellowgroup and bring them back to Saruman, the wizard who had imprisoned the original Gandalf. While the Ents recuperated, Yolo reminded Tyler that they had left Frodo unconscious within Helm’s Deep. But will the twisted hobbit still be there? Far from the boys, GanDelf, having exhausted her magic, was released from her bout of madness and returned to her old Del self. She found herself at the feet of Jadis, the White Witch, but luckily she knew the books well and placated the witch by catering to her narcissism. Meanwhile, Guy and Tyler convinced Adam to drink a drop of the cordial, and he was immediately freed from his shadow-induced greed. After a tense meeting with Lucy’s sister, Susan, they met the lion Aslan, who began to wake up everyone who had been turned to stone. Aslan agreed to help them win the war in Middle-earth, but can they survive the war in Narnia first? As Adam and Guy lay dying, Tyler, GanDelf, and Théoden fought the orcs trying to finish them off, but were interrupted by a loud boom and a dead orc flying into the room. They eventually stabilized their friends with Jimbo bread from Tony Dumdum the White, Guy took up Éowyn’s helm and accepted the duty to inspire everyone, and Théoden came to the realization that Gondor may indeed be fighting back against the dark lord. When they surveyed the battlefield, they saw that a forest had appeared around Helm’s Deep and the remaining enemies were being driven into it. Do these mysterious and violent trees truly signify victory for Rohan? As dawn broke, Galadriel, Tony Dumdum, and the elves of Rivendell arrived at Helm’s Deep to turn the tide of the battle, but the orcs still put up a fight. On the battlefield, GanDelf shattered the ground in the middle of some orcs, frightening them enough to run away as she and Tyler used the distraction to race back into the fortress. Inside, Adam and Guy had less luck and were struck down swiftly by a pair of orcs. Luckily, Théoden prevented the orcs from finishing the job until GanDelf and Tyler could arrive. Can the aged king, the false king, and the fire-wielding wizard save Adam and Guy before they succumb to their wounds? It was looking like all hope was lost, so Guy raced inside to reach the Horm of Helm Hammerhand. After the horn’s keeper ran out to join the fight, Yolo suddenly appeared and blew the horn himself, though the hobbit was looking worryingly gaunt. Outside, many in Rohan’s army were inspired by the horn and fought harder, but the orcs still managed to blast part of the wall, which sent Adam flying. On the field, Éowyn and Daenerys Targaryen traded killing blows, and Tyler and GanDelf tried to rush back to the wall with Éowyn’s helm, hoping to inspire the archers to continue fighting. After some early success in the battle at Helm’s Deep, the Fellowgroup suffered some setbacks. On the battlefield, Tyler tried to convince the Dothraki to stand down, but they didn’t understand him, and GanDelf spoke inspirational nonsense to Éowyn as she continued to duel the rider. Atop the wall, Guy and archers struggled to hit anything at all, a wave of orcs breached the top, and Adam unintentionally sent the ballista brigade to their ends at the hands of enemies who were actually trained in melee combat. As the battle at Helm’s Deep dragged on, the Fellowgroup found some luck up on the wall. Adam’s ballista operators worked efficiently and got their shots off quickly, while Guy took a risk to fire off flaming arrows at the ladders and destroyed all of them but one. Down on the field, Tyler and Éowyn duelled with Khal Drogo and the dragon rider, striking them, and taking even harder hits in return, but the tide turned when GanDelf spoke inspiring words to Tyler and he dealt a killing blow to the Khal. The Fellowgroup and Rohan’s army struggled to find their targets and remain upright. With GanDelf’s staff lighting up their foes, Guy ordered the archers to loose their arrows and Adam organized the ballista operators to reorient their weapons. On the field, Tyler and Éowyn began to duel with Khal Drogo and the dragon rider. GanDelf tried to help by hurling acid and ended up falling off the wall, but she fought off her would-be captor with fire and a well-placed arrow from Guy. With the battle of Helm’s Deep underway, the Fellowgroup enacted their defense plans. Adam’s blasting-powder-tipped arrows found their target in the dragon’s fiery mouth, wounding the beast and causing its rider to plummet to the ground. As a figure looking strikingly similar to Jason Momoa rode toward the rider, Guy ordered the archers to attack, guided by the light from GanDelf’s staff. Meanwhile, Éowyn told Tyler that if Théoden died, the spirit of Rohan would die with him, so Tyler had to make a mad dash to Théoden and talk him into retreating back inside. The battle of Helm’s Deep has begun and the Fellowgroup strategized up to the very last minute. Tyler and GanDelf planned for the wizard hurl acid at Khal Drogo and the siege ladders, and Adam came up with a plan to lure the dragon in with human bait and then fire an arrow tipped with blasting powder into the beast’s mouth. As the dragon approached, Guy spotted a rider atop it, and the soldier who was trying to grab its attention fell from the wall. Adam tried to convince Yolo to take his place, but the hobbit was afraid of being swallowed whole, so he put on the ring and started running away. Can the troops escape the dragon’ s fiery breath? With Frodo now restrained, and the Dothraki waiting for the orcs to arrive, Éowyn summoned Tyler and Guy back to the war room to strategize their defense. Théoden led farmers outside to soften the earth, Guy prepared to lead a stealthy unit to take out anyone trying to get through the main gate, the archers would attack for as long as possible before switching to melee defense, Tyler advised them to take out Khal Drogo first, and GanDelf informed them of the magically-imbued horn they could blow when all hope seemed lost. Tyler, Guy, and GanDelf leapt into the wardrobe and stepped into fresh air and a snowy landscape. The Fellowgroup began preparing for the upcoming battle! While GanDelf vibed on the horn, Guy gave archery lessons to the army, Tyler made all of Rohan's leaders collapse by revealing that the Dothraki were fictional, and Adam was visited by a moth with a message. Adam and Guy brought the moth to GanDelf, and it relayed a message from Galadriel that Rivendell was on their way to help, but when the moth began to flutter away, Guy accidentally impaled it on Adam's helm. They had sent Yolo out of the room so he wouldn't see the dead moth, but when Guy went to find him, the hobbit was gone. Will Yolo come away from a fight with Frollum unscathed? After Éowyn spoke with each of them about their abilities, she sent Adam to ensure their weapons were ready, and she asked Guy to help train their army to use their bows more effectively. As the Fellowgroup and the people of Rohan fled towards Helm’s Deep, the Dothraki were hot on their heels. Del fell behind, and as Adam tried to assist her, his decoy hobbit tumbled down, the Dothraki continued their pursuit, and Del was flung from her saddle.  Tyler managed to catch her, Guy steadied her steed, Adam was only able to keep up as his own horse was inspired by Tyler’s horse to ride faster. They just barely made it into the safety of Helm’s Deep and were met by Commander Éowyn, who demanded that her uncle Théoden explain his recent behaviour. As the people of Edoras made to depart for Helm’s Deep, the Fellowgroup still needed mounts for the journey. In the hall of King Théoden, Wormtongue ordered the guards to kill Yolo, but luckily the ringbearer remained protected by plot armour. Théoden began having brief moments of clarity, but he became confused and suspicious of GanDelf’s wizardry and threw her outside under guard. Guy, Tyler, and Adam tried to bring the king out of his delusion, and even brought Éomer into the conversation to help, but as the horselord spoke up, Wormtongue stabbed him and Théoden retaliated and began to strangle Wormtongue. The Fellowgroup slowly came to, tied up on horse back, travelling with Éomer and his riders towards Edoras. They each felt the shadow growing within them, and couldn’t break free of their bonds no matter how much struggled. Wet Change put on a show to earn food and lodging. Aunt Delf and Fomo improvised a song about horses that played well with the crowd, Guy pulled people from the audience to make a human pyramid, but they collapsed and Guy hurt himself, and Tyler got stuck in a mud pit, so Guy helped him out but got stuck in the process. With Wet Change about to perform in exchange for food and lodging, Adam worked with a very stressed stage manager at the inn to put together a setlist while they struggled through their lack of mutual understanding about blackouts, Matlock, and literacy. The Fellowgroup followed Hibbett T. Jibbety through Minas Tirirth towards his rooms and the wardrobe. Along the way, Tony and Yolo voiced their concern about the darkness surrounding Adam and GanDelf, they all came up with scholar aliases, and Guy flirted so the others could sneak off to see the wardrobe. Once they regrouped in Jibbety’s room, Adam entered the wardrobe alone. He pushed his way through the coats, but as he tried to leave, he instead stepped onto fresh snow. The Fellowgroup entered the village of Fieldsway, and were immediately warned of how dangerous it would become after dark when the Riders of Rohan returned. Trying to hide their identities, Adam claimed they were travelling minstrels and they were given lodgings in exchange for putting on a show. He volunteered Del for singing, Guy for stunts, Tyler for shovelling s***, and himself as the host. Before their performance, they learned that any Riders who followed the old ways had been exiled by their King Theoden and that many people don’t support the king’s war. The members of Wet Change were plagued with strange dreams about someone taking the hobbits to Isengard, the very fortress where Gandalf had been imprisoned. Guy recalled that he looked like Orlando Bloom in the dream and the rest of the troupe slowly recalled the actors that had appeared in their shared vision. They had never seen that version of The Lord of the Rings, but bizarrely, Tyler recalled having seen an entirely different version of the movie. The Fellowgroup got lucky as the orc commander struggled to land a blow, and eventually GanDelf redirected one of Adam’s missed strikes into the orc and the fight was won. Immediately, Tyler stormed into the water in search of Denethea and broke his toe on an orc helm, but Guy and Adam got him back to safety before he succumbed to the deep water and swift current. When they finally found Denethea, it was too late to save her and they were forced to admit she was truly lost to them. Del said some final words and they built a simple cairn to lay her to rest. The Fellowgroup found themselves facing a final, terrifying foe: the massive orc who had just felled Denethea. Tyler used his royal bearing to frighten the orc and held him off until his companions could join in the fight. As Denethea led some of the orcs away, the rest of the Fellowgroup tried to withstand attacks from the others. Guy rescued Yolo from the water and Frollum’s grasp, Adam struggled to don his armour again after it popped off, and GanDelf tried but failed to draw the orcs away from Denethea. Denethea made it to a boat and began leading the orcs downstream, but she was struck soundly with an arrow from a huge orc, and GanDelf and Tyler retaliated immediately. Gandelf drew upon her magic, and Tyler let the Aragorn within him take over as they both lashed out at the massive creature. But is there any hope left of saving Denethea? The Fellowgroup was ambushed by orcs! Tyler ran to protect Yolo and the ring, but he heard Denethea threatening the hobbit, so he called for backup. Fighting their way to Tyler, Guy showed off his skill with the bow despite the melon stuck to his hand, Adam tossed melons at the orcs to trip them up, and Del unleashed an impressive flaming sphere on their foes. The Fellowgroup continued their journey southward towards Gondor. As their guide for this leg of their journey, Guy struggled to navigate the area, but they finally made it to the large hill of Amon Hen. Yolo spotted a stone seat at the peak and rushed up to it, while Denethea trudged after him in a sour mood and GanDelf remained ethereally aloof. Adam took over as the hunter after criticizing Tyler’s ability to only find watermelons, but then he could only find melons too, so he disguised them as eggs. As they argued about the source of the supposed eggs, an arrow struck Guy’s hand. The Fellowgroup remained for a while longer in the ruins of Lothlorien as Galadriel gave them crucial information about the Dark Lord. He now has two dragons and the Riders of Rohan in his service, and is no longer a disembodied eye. Luckily, his corporeal form is unstable, so there is still a chance of defeating him as long as he doesn’t possess the ring. Galadriel also warned Yolo that wearing the ring was like lighting up a beacon for the Nazgul, so they would have to move on quickly. Despite the orc having shown herself to be Galadriel, Adam still saw an enemy and leapt up to attack. GanDelf stepped up to block him and was struck by a staggering blow, only to be spared by Denethea’s mithril deflector. They managed to sort out that they were all on the same side and Tyler healed everyone with his kingly presence. As conversation turned to the ring, Galadriel’s desire for its power grew, but GanDelf persuaded her that there was still hope, and the elf overcame the ring’s pull. As the Fellowgroup tried to convince the scholar to grant them access to the wardrobe, they received more disturbing news. Denethea had arrived, though she had been strangely quiet, along with a dwarf delegation from Moria that included Blemblo, who was now a wizard and had been the one to broker peace with Mordor. Adam convinced the scholar to let him check the wardrobe for dangerous sproingy armour that the dwarves may have put there, the scholar agreed to vouch for them, and Tyler and Guy made amends with the tavern owner when they introduced the concept of tipping. The Fellowgroup arrived at the burnt, desolate landscape that used to be Lothlorien. While they battled their own dismay, they came across a charred and gored body bearing a sign that read “No safe harbours for the fellowship of the ring” and Guy recognized the figure to Celeborn, Lord of Lothlorien. They found only two elves still barely alive and learned that the destruction had happened at the hands of orcs, a fire-breathing dragon, and group called the Riders of Rohan. The Fellowgroup was forced to stop and rest, as GanDelf found herself getting sleepy in her newly-acquired old age, and things began to escalate with Frodo. Tyler had convinced Yolo that they should let Frodo live, Adam didn’t believe the creature to be Frodo at all, they approached Frodo to get some answers, Frodo immediately said they should kill Yolo, and Yolo took his sword and lunged at Frodo. Once things calmed down, Frodo admitted to having murdered Grungus Took, but before they could decide what to do with him, the hobbit slipped away. Del reflected on the strange duality of both her normal self and the wizard within her, Adam waded into the strange lake to wash up, Guy tried to find drinking water that wasn’t tainted by Adam’s filth, Frodo-Gollum had a full-on conversation with himself, but no one overhead it, and Tyler found watermelons.
