California recently was talking about getting rid of the use of K9's. Today we talk about how certain laws can make our jobs harder and what we can do about that.

How does someone go from being a straight A student, to starting the first Blood gang in Dallas, to now being on a mission to end violence in urban communities? Antong Lucky shares his story with us today. He now is President of an organization called "The Urban Specialists". Their goal is to change the cultural environment of our communities in order to stop senseless violence and help individuals reach their fullest potential.

Aj is back at work after almost a year. He was hurt during the riots after George Floyd and shares what he is seeing in law enforcement and the community during this time.

How often should we worry about if we are offending someone? Is there a time and place for certain things? Should you not care at all?

The question has been asked if police should only respond to calls for service of high priority, so only reactive policing as opposed to proactive. Let's discuss.

Our goal is to separate fact from emotion. This is the first episode of a series we are going to do about the Derek Chauvin trial going on right now. 

This episode we lay the groundwork for what is going on and what the charges are. As we continue in the series we will go deeper into these issues.

We were going to talk about different uses of force but the conversation took a turn. The conversation turned towards the brave actions of officer Eric Talley and the next generation of police officers.

Both Ryan and Aj have been in officer involved shootings, and Ryan just returned from a retreat for officers who have been in similar situations. Ryan shares what he learned from the retreat and from the other officers.

Whether you know it or not you are a leader. Everyone is a leader in some aspect of their life. Today we talk about leadership and what it means to accept a life of pressure and adversity.

We can't go into every detail of our personal OIS but we do want to talk about what it is like for an officer after the incident. There is a lot more that goes into it than most know. It is a very stressful time for the officer and their family. Let's get into it.

Rener Gracie is an American Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, a chief instructor at the Gracie University, and co-creator of the Gracie University online curriculum. Rener now has HARD DATA showing when jiu-jitsu is implemented as mandatory training for officers, officer injuries go down, civilian injuries go down, and departments save money.

I do not think we should always defend law enforcement. If something is wrong, it's wrong. But when someone is trying to do something different to make a positive change within law enforcement, why do other cops seem to have to put them down? This isn't always the case, but it happens more than you would think. Just because someone is doing something different, or not the way you would do it, does not make it wrong. When good is being done, we need to support each other.
