| Taylor Swift Drops Four New Songs + Dove Cameron’s Italian Wedding | 25 sept. 2026 | 00:04:49 | |
Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore is officially here with four new songs: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” I gave them a quick first listen this morning. “Cleveland!” is my early favorite—partly because it’s bouncy and I desperately needed the energy—but I’m reserving final judgment until I have more time to dig into the lyrics. Plus, Dove Cameron and Måneskin frontman Damiano David get married in a dramatic Tuscan ceremony; Margot Robbie quietly adopts husband Tom Ackerley’s surname in new business filings; and Angelina Jolie sells her historic Cecil B. DeMille estate for $24.75 million as she prepares to close her Los Angeles chapter. Finally, Manhattan celebrates Dolly Parton Appreciation Day on the perfect date: 9/25. | BONUS Deep Dive: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5—Taylor, MomTok & Why Production Stopped | 20 sept. 2026 | 01:11:33
Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives gave us only five episodes—and an ending that wasn’t really an ending. I watched every episode, followed the off-screen reporting, and did the homework so you don’t have to. I already gave Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen’s relationship its own deep dive. This time, I’m zooming out to recap the entire season and ask what these five episodes revealed about the women, the show, and the price of remaining part of MomTok. We’re getting into Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt’s painfully awkward New York confrontation; Jen’s “pink back” reinvention, conflict with Zac, and move to the Orange County spinoff; Layla Taylor and Mason McWhorter’s breakup—and the expensive gifts that raised bigger questions about over-giving in relationships; Mikayla Matthews and Jace Terry’s separation; Miranda Hope’s co-parenting boundaries; and Mayci Neeley and Mikayla’s struggle to support Taylor without enabling a destructive cycle. Then there’s the phone call that ends filming: Taylor tells the women that CPS has contacted her, alleges that Dakota and someone close to him are trying to ruin her life, and points to the extraordinary timing—just before promotional appearances for The Bachelorette were set to begin. I break down what Taylor claimed, what outside reporting has established, why production stopped, and what remains unverified—including recent reports alleging that Taylor failed multiple court-ordered drug tests. The results themselves remain protected from public release, and the substances allegedly involved have not been publicly identified. We’ll also discuss Mikayla’s decision to leave Season 6 and donate the money she says she would have earned, Whitney’s departure for new opportunities, Jen joining The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, and the complicated ethics of continuing the show while children, custody disputes, and allegations of abuse are involved. I do not know these women personally. I recognize some of these dynamics from my own life and my own past, and I’m approaching this conversation with that experience in mind. Reality television is entertainment—but these are real people living through real situations. There is no perfect victim, people can be harmed while also causing harm, and more than one thing can be true at the same time. Did MomTok survive Season 5—or did it simply become a job? Content warning This episode discusses domestic violence, coercive control, child-abuse and child-welfare allegations, childhood sexual abuse, mental health, suicidal ideation, custody disputes, and substance-use allegations. Allegations are identified as allegations, and nothing discussed here should be interpreted as a diagnosis or a definitive conclusion about events that have not been publicly established. | BONUS Deep Dive: Taylor Frankie Paul, Dakota, SLOMW Season 5 & Why It Can Be So Hard to Leave | 13 sept. 2026 | 00:37:34
Hulu dropped all five episodes of Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and after watching the entire season, there was one story I couldn’t stop thinking about: Taylor Frankie Paul. In this deep dive, I’m going all the way back through Taylor’s story, from her marriage to Tate Paul and the rise of MomTok to the soft-swinging scandal that blew up TikTok, her relationship with Dakota Mortensen, the 2023 domestic-violence incident, motherhood, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, her unaired season of The Bachelorette, and the shocking Season 5 revelation that she returned home engaged to another man and almost immediately found herself back with Dakota. But this episode isn’t about asking, “What is wrong with Taylor?” It’s about asking a much more complicated question: Why can it be so difficult to leave a destructive relationship, even when you know it’s hurting you? I also look carefully at the concept commonly called “reactive abuse,” what domestic-violence experts actually say about reactive responses and power and control, and why acknowledging context does not mean excusing violent behavior. Plus: Where is Taylor now? Where is Dakota? Who is Dakota dating? And after that surprisingly short five-episode season, what happens next for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? Content warning: This episode discusses domestic violence, physical violence, mental health and an incident involving a child who was present during a violent altercation. No audio of the child is played. | Prince Harry’s U.K. Engagements, Nirvana’s VMA Honor & Remembering 9/11 | 11 sept. 2026 | 00:10:07
Today marks 25 years since September 11th. I’m sharing my memories of that morning in Los Angeles—including the terrifying hours when my family couldn’t reach my dad, who was a pilot flying out of the New York–New Jersey area—and remembering the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were taken. I’m also looking back at the extraordinary responsibility Reese Witherspoon carried when she hosted the first Saturday Night Live episode broadcast after the attacks. Then, Prince Harry has confirmed his first public engagements in the United Kingdom since returning with Meghan and their children. I explain why these appearances are significant—and why they do not represent a return to duties as a working royal. Also yappening: Nirvana will receive MTV’s Video Vanguard Award; Snoop Dogg will host the 2026 VMAs; and Obsession star Inde Navarrette will make her SNL hosting debut on Halloween with musical guest Gracie Abrams. In Quick Yaps, Pierce Brosnan dismisses the rumored MobLand feud with Tom Hardy, and the internet diagnoses Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s marriage from a three-second red-carpet interaction. | Jennifer Lawrence’s First Instagram Post + Elizabeth Holmes and Gwyneth on Brad Pitt | 10 sept. 2026 | 00:26:01
Jennifer Lawrence has officially posted on Instagram! Minutes after joining as @jlaw, the Oscar winner dropped her first video—and the internet is already reacting to the gloriously self-deprecating return of peak JLaw. Then, Gwyneth Paltrow revisits her engagement to Brad Pitt, the shame she felt when their very public relationship ended and the accidental creation of Goop’s infamous “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle. I’m also explaining why everyone is freaking out about You Can See Everything, Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s secret, nearly three-hour Elizabeth Holmes documentary. The filmmakers began following Holmes 34 days before she reported to prison—and three years later, even Nathan Fielder cannot fully explain what he experienced. Plus, the Spice Girls finally reveal their mysterious 30th-anniversary announcement. It isn’t the reunion tour we attempted to manifest, but previously unreleased demos are officially coming. In Quick Yaps: Billy Joel reveals he underwent brain surgery; Henry Winkler discusses his decades-long tension with Tom Hanks; Rick Springfield shares a disturbing story from the Vietnam War; Harry Styles faces criticism over an unfortunately timed concert-ticket design; Justin and Hailey Bieber share a glimpse of family life; Carly Rae Jepsen reveals her son’s Heated Rivalry-inspired name; and Lady Gaga may—or may not—have secretly gotten married. Finally, I’m caught up on Ted Lasso and have identified why the new season feels strangely disjointed. I’m also rewatching Practical Magic and asking whether we need a complete deep dive into the Owens family lore and Practical Magic 2. Have a thought, correction or story I need to cover? | Lori Loughlin Files for Divorce, Lindsay Clancy Jurors Speak Out + Polymarket Backlash | 09 sept. 2026 | 00:33:47
Lori Loughlin has officially filed for divorce from Mossimo Giannulli after nearly 29 years of marriage. I’m looking back at the relationship that survived Operation Varsity Blues, federal charges and two prison sentences—and what we actually know about the breakup. Then, jurors from the Lindsay Clancy trial reveal that the panel was divided 11–1, with the foreperson alleging that the lone holdout admitted he had reasonable doubt but still refused to vote for an acquittal. I’m also unpacking the backlash against Not Skinny But Not Fat host Amanda Hirsch after she used the Clancy case in a sponsored Polymarket post. Amanda has apologized, but the controversy raises serious questions about prediction markets, true-crime content and the point at which monetization becomes exploitation. Plus, Harry and Meghan reportedly had only two minutes between reaching Prince Harry and learning that King Charles’s royal-status letter had been distributed to the media; a giant sinkhole swallows Nicolas Cage’s Malibu driveway; Casey Affleck reveals that he and Ben lost both parents this year; and Tom Jones says he was fired from The Voice UK at 86. In Quick Yaps: Spencer Conley and Jess Edwards end their Bachelor in Paradise engagement, Sabrina Carpenter redesigns Johnnie Walker Black Label, Julia Stiles faces her Save the Last Dance expectations on Dancing With the Stars, Robert Pattinson discovers the new-dad productivity hack, the Off Campus cast responds to feud speculation, and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce return to newlywed date night. | King Charles Clarifies Harry and Meghan’s Status + Robert Pattinson’s Primetime | 08 sept. 2026 | 00:22:49
King Charles is formally clarifying Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal status following their return to the United Kingdom—and Reuters reports the couple received only about an hour’s notice before the Palace’s letter became public. I’m breaking down what the letter actually changes, what remains the same and why this is less dramatic royal banishment and more Buckingham Palace updating the organizational chart. Then, Robert Pattinson’s new A24 movie, Primetime, receives a nearly eight-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. Pattinson plays a television journalist modeled on Chris Hansen in a fictionalized examination of To Catch a Predator, hidden-camera investigations and the uncomfortable line between journalism and entertainment. Ellen Burstyn receives Venice’s lifetime-achievement Golden Lion at 93 while playing a 100-year-old Marilyn Monroe, and Alex Gibney premieres a nearly four-hour documentary examining Elon Musk’s life, businesses and global influence. In Quick Yaps: Phoebe Bridgers brings her natural leg hair to Venice; Pamela Anderson reflects on surviving the hepatitis C diagnosis she once believed was a death sentence; Kendall Jenner invests in calming-drinks brand TRIP; Ariana Grande shares a kiss with Ricky Alvarez; Sherri Shepherd becomes Broadway’s first female Genie; and Salma Hayek celebrates turning 60 in the ocean. | Below Deck’s Gael Cameron Speaks Out + Kelly Osbourne’s Grief and Elizabeth Smart’s Transformation | 07 sept. 2026 | 00:23:09
Below Deck Mediterranean’s Gael Cameron is speaking publicly about quietly healing and rebuilding her life after Nathan Gallagher was convicted of three domestic-violence offenses in Australia and failed to appear in court, prompting an arrest warrant. I’m also talking about Kelly Osbourne’s frightening realization that grief following Ozzy Osbourne’s death had taken a serious physical toll—and why our conversation should focus on her health, not another public assessment of a woman’s body. Then, Elizabeth Smart competed at the North American Bodybuilding Championships at 38. I’m looking back at who Elizabeth is, what she survived and why seeing her reclaim her strength and identity means so much more than where she placed. Plus: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West separately show up for North West’s first solo headlining concert; Widow’s Bay dominates the Creative Arts Emmys while Taylor Swift goes home empty-handed; and Chicken Shop Date prepares to end after 12 wonderfully awkward years. In Quick Yaps: Natalie Portman reportedly welcomes her third child, Ciara is expecting baby number five, Gary Oldman claims the next James Bond has been selected, Angie Katsanevas discusses her separation, Andrea Denver and Lexi Sundin welcome baby Astrid, and RHONY returns with Carole Radziwill back in the mix. Feminist icon Gloria Steinem has died at 92. CeeGee remembers the groundbreaking journalist, activist and Ms. magazine co-founder—and the freedoms women gained because Gloria Steinem and generations of other women fought for them. Plus, the Lindsay Clancy jury enters a sixth day of deliberations after twice reporting a deadlock. What happens if the judge declares a mistrial? CeeGee also separates confirmed information about Perez Hilton’s hospitalization from sensational tabloid claims and remembers Disney Channel’s Carla Jeffery, who died at only 33. Then, unverified blinds raise questions about Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship, prompting a personal conversation about Ciara Miller, female friendship and women who center men. And is Ted Lasso Season 4 actually interested in developing its female football players? The Lindsay Clancy jury reports a deadlock after four days of deliberations. I explain the latest from the Massachusetts trial, what happens if jurors cannot reach a unanimous verdict and why the case remains an unimaginable tragedy centered on three children and a disputed postpartum-psychosis defense. I separate reported casting from ABC’s officially confirmed lineup ahead of the full reveal. | Randy Quaid vs. Anne Hathaway, Love Island + Taylor Swift | 31 août 2026 | 00:30:27
Randy Quaid is furious about Anne Hathaway joining Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder 2—and has somehow forced me to to talk about him. I unpack his complaints about the “woke” casting, his demand that Nicole Kidman return and why Anne’s pregnancy has nothing to do with her ability to play a race-team owner. Then, Taylor Swift donates $50,000 to Ashley Taunton, a mother critically injured while saving teenagers after a highway crash. Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival raises $20 million for organizations supporting women and girls, with help from Melinda French Gates, Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morissette and Sarah McLachlan. | Brittany Cartwright & Jax Taylor, Mormon Wives Season 5 + Peter Cullen | 28 août 2026 | 00:18:37
Brittany Cartwright has reportedly obtained a temporary domestic-violence restraining order against Jax Taylor. I carefully examine the serious allegations described in the reported court filing, what happened with Brittany’s emergency custody request and why The Valley can no longer treat this relationship as ordinary reality-TV drama. The allegations have not been proven at a final hearing, and Jax has not publicly responded to this filing. Then, Hulu releases the explosive Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 trailer. The shortened five-episode season centers on Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen’s legal crisis, fractured MomTok friendships and the troubling way volatile relationships become entertainment. Also today: remembering Peter Cullen, the legendary voice of Optimus Prime and Eeyore; Ricky Schroder faces backlash over his Dolly Parton comments; Gladys Knight reduces her performance schedule; Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson turns 21 while pursuing a nursing career; and Jelly Roll delivers a perfect response to Ozempic speculation. I break down what the outspoken King of Queens star could bring to the cast alongside fellow newcomer Tracy Tutor. Amanda Batula and West Wilson are still together, but their romantic summer photos haven’t erased my discomfort with how the relationship began—or what it cost Ciara Miller. That leads directly into the explosive Let’s Marry Harry reunion, where Amber Mozo confronted Harry Jowsey over their collapsed two-month marriage and conflicting relationship timelines. | EMERGENCY POD: Tim Curry Dies at 80: Remembering Clue, Rocky Horror and It | 26 août 2026 | 00:10:28
Tim Curry has died at 80. In this special remembrance episode, I look back at the singular actor behind Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wadsworth in Clue and the terrifying Pennywise in Stephen King’s It. I share why Clue became part of my childhood with my sister, how Tim Curry’s Pennywise still haunts me after reading It on the middle-school bus, and the strange timing of recently watching a Rocky Horror-themed party on Next Gen NYC. I also celebrate Curry’s extraordinary work in Annie, Legend, Home Alone 2, Muppet Treasure Island, Spamalot, FernGully and The Wild Thornberrys—as well as the perseverance he demonstrated after suffering a major stroke in 2012. | Dolly Parton’s Legacy, Taylor Swift’s Icon Interview + Below Deck Med’s Nathan Gallagher | 26 août 2026 | 00:16:39
The world continues to mourn Dolly Parton. I reflect on her remarkable legacy, the Imagination Library, the fortune she chose to give away and her family’s request that fans honor her by helping put books into children’s hands. I also discuss the presidential order lowering flags to half-staff and why there will simply never be another Dolly. Then, Taylor Swift looks back at 20 years of songwriting during her full Recording Academy Icon Sessions interview, while she and Travis Kelce reportedly honor Dolly’s legacy with a major donation to the Imagination Library. Also in today’s pop-culture catch-up: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrive in the United Kingdom with Archie and Lilibet; HBO Max releases the first teaser for Season 3 of The Pitt; members of the Heroes cast reunite to celebrate Hayden Panettiere’s life; and Dan Stevens lands the title role in Amazon Prime Video’s new RoboCop series. Finally, I discuss the latest episode of Below Deck Mediterranean and why watching Nathan Gallagher feels very different in light of the serious domestic-violence charges reported in Australia. I also cover the arrest of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. These allegations involve minors and remain unproven; an arrest is not a conviction. | EMERGENCY POD: Remembering Dolly Parton: A True Original | 25 août 2026 | 00:14:29
Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. In this special remembrance episode, I’m looking back at the extraordinary life of the singer, songwriter, actor, businesswoman and philanthropist who traveled from Locust Ridge, Tennessee, to the very center of American culture. From “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors” and “I Will Always Love You” to 9 to 5, Steel Magnolias and Dollywood, Dolly built a career that transcended country music. I’m also remembering the brilliant businesswoman behind the rhinestones, her nearly 60-year marriage to Carl Dean and the generosity that may become her greatest legacy—including the Imagination Library, disaster relief and her support of medical research. Dolly leaves behind far more than an astonishing catalog of music. She leaves jobs, homes rebuilt after disaster and hundreds of millions of books placed into the hands of children around the world. Rest peacefully, Dolly. Thank you for leaving the world more colorful than you found it. Have a favorite Dolly song, performance or memory? Email me at itsallyappeningpod@gmail.com. | How to Lose a Guy Returns, Sandra Bullock Opens Up & Sterling Point Renewed | 25 août 2026 | 00:15:07
Could Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry really be heading back to the big screen? I’m breaking down the early development of a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel—including what is confirmed, what isn’t, and why I refuse to accept a sequel without Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey, and the love fern. I’m also celebrating Sterling Point’s speedy Season 2 renewal and discussing Sandra Bullock’s deeply personal reflections on Bryan Randall’s private battle with ALS, the care she created for him at home, and how she helped her children process his illness and death. Then, I have an update on Perez Hilton’s recovery before we get into today’s Quick Yaps: Sydney Sweeney goes full Tom Cruise, Margaret Qualley’s soleless Chanel shoes divide the internet, Blake Lively almost forgets to button her pants during a hair tutorial, Hailey Bieber gives Justin’s new headphones a very strategic soft launch, and Khloé Kardashian’s new reality show receives a rough early response from viewers. | Hayden’s Mom Speaks Out, Nathan Gallagher’s Charges & Meghan’s Rumored Role | 24 août 2026 | 00:18:44
Hayden Panettiere’s mother is sharing details of their final phone conversation—including the ultimatum she gave Hayden about Brian Hickerson. I’m also untangling two separate developments: the Los Angeles County D.A.’s allegations concerning Brian’s continued drug use before Hayden’s death, and the DEA joining the investigation afterward. Ruby Rose posted and quickly deleted alleged private messages from Hayden about her strained relationship with her mother. Was Ruby defending her friend—or sharing something that was never meant for the public? Then, Below Deck Mediterranean’s Nathan Gallagher faces serious domestic-violence-related charges in Australia, and the Lindsay Clancy trial approaches its final stage as both sides present starkly different accounts of her mental state. On the lighter side, I’m talking Ultimate Girls Trip, my early love for HBO’s Lanterns, Jason Ritter and the absolutely stacked cast of the forgotten 2006 sitcom The Class. Plus: Sharna Burgess returns to Dancing with the Stars, Benny Blanco attempts a pizza-only diet, Andrew Garfield reveals his secret Instagram habits, and a real-life sibling joins Ted Lasso. I also remember Coach and The Donna Reed Show star Shelley Fabares, who died at 82. Have a question or something I need to yap about? Email me at itsallyappeningpod@gmail.com. Sources

| The Lindsay Clancy Trial, Lala vs. Danny & More Reverse Megixt News | 21 août 2026 | 00:12:52 | |
Lala Kent refuses to let Danny Booko escape accountability during The Valley Season 3 Reunion Part 3—and I am completely here for it. I’m breaking down Danny’s drinking, Nia’s continued excuses and why removing Jax Taylor may have left us with an entirely new two-headed beast. Then, I’m discussing the hundreds of women wearing pink who gathered outside Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial. This is an extraordinarily painful case, but I believe two truths can exist at once: Lindsay may have been desperately ill and failed by the mental-health system, and Cora, Dawson and Callan still lost their lives. As someone who experienced postpartum depression, I also have some thoughts about how consistently women’s pain and mental-health concerns are dismissed. Plus, Hayden Panettiere’s mother responds to criticism and blames a “toxic individual” for their estrangement, while Brian Hickerson’s attorney asks the public to allow the investigation to proceed. In today’s Quick Yaps: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly heading back to the U.K., Meghan has already dipped her toe back into acting, and Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck opens up about prenatal depression and the challenges she and Zac are working through behind closed doors. Harry and Meghan are heading back to Britain—and I have some thoughts about the endless Meghan Markle backlash. Is she occasionally a little try-hard? Maybe. But give the girl a break! I also share two important Hayden Panettiere updates: the backlash surrounding her estranged mother’s harsh post-death remarks and reports that the DEA has joined the investigation. Plus:

| EP 11: Hayden Panettiere Updates, Ariana’s Matching Tattoo & Kaley Cuoco Taco Bell Baby Shower | 17 août 2026 | 00:22:10 | |
Today’s episode begins with an important update on the death of Hayden Panettiere and a deeper look at the painful truths she shared in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning. CeeGee discusses Hayden’s experience as a working child actor, being given “happy pills” at only 15, her struggles with alcohol and opioids, the complicated relationship she described with her mother, and her candid battle with postpartum depression. We also examine the documented physical abuse in her relationship with Brian Hickerson—and why survivors can remain connected to people who have harmed them. Overnight reporting revealed that Hayden was found unresponsive Sunday afternoon and received advanced life-support measures before being pronounced dead. Police reported no preliminary signs of foul play, and an autopsy is pending. Emergency-dispatch traffic reportedly mentioned a possible overdose, but that is not a confirmed cause of death. This conversation is personal for CeeGee as someone who experienced postpartum depression and survived an abusive relationship. It isn’t about turning Hayden’s life into an after-school special or treating her death as entertainment. It is about taking seriously what Hayden chose to tell us while she was here. Then we shift gears with: • Ariana Grande and Ricky Álvarez finding their way back—and possibly getting matching tattoos If you haven’t heard it yet, listen to our special remembrance episode, Save the Cheerleader, Save the World: Remembering Hayden Panettiere, available now in the podcast feed.
