S2. EP.20 - Finding Me and Embracing Authenticity, A Solo Episode
Season 2 · Episode 20
mardi 25 juillet 2023 • Duration 12:45
Welcome to our solo episode series on "It Takes a Village to Raise an Entrepreneur" . I'm your host, Delina Medhin. Join me as I embark on a personal journey to explore confidence while creating a personal brand on social media. I start with sharing my experience in college as a 16 year old freshman at NC State University. It's where I had my first experiences with the complexity of connection and self-perception.
Being younger than my peers, I wanted to hide and not stand out so that I didn't get ostracized by my peers. Little did I know that this journey would shape my understanding of human nature and empathy. Over time, I realized that true confidence is not about faking it until you make it, but rather about continuously learning and growing. Each small step I took, despite the fear, nurtured my courage and authenticity. I discovered that genuine confidence stems from acquiring knowledge, embracing the unknown, and recognizing that it's okay to ask questions and seek guidance.
Moreover, I delve into the profound impact of inner confidence, where I share the pivotal shift from seeking everyone else's opinion to listening to my own inner voice. Through stillness and introspection, I learned to trust myself, allowing the answers to unfold in their own time. It wasn't an instant revelation but a gradual process of self-discovery and self-trust.
I hope you enjoyed this episode. If you love this, please rate the episode five stars. You can check us out on Spotify or Apple podcasts and leave a comment or a question. Let me know if there's anything you want to hear about in the next solo episode. Maybe I can answer a question that you have or that you have been pondering. See you in the next episode.
