The Olympic previews roll on, and this time we're talking about the US Women's National Team.

In this episode, we sit down with Bridie O'Toole, the founder and host of "Busy Watching Women's Soccer," the phenomenal YouTube show where Bridie breaks down film and gives in-depth tactical analysis.

We started with the incredibly unfortunate news about Cat Macario's injury and how that could affect how USA plays out of the midfield.

In our endless search to discuss the NWSL through as many lenses as possible, we decided to look at Matchweek 15 through the lens of two teams and two players who jumped out to us.

Spotlight teams

- North Carolina Courage smothered Washington Spirit in their 1-0 victory in Washington DC Saturday, and their smothering defense caught Dino's eye. On top of that, the club is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Australian attacker/midfielder Cortnee Vine, as well as the potential return of 2023 NWSL MVP Kerolin. Big things happening in Cary, North Carolina.

- Chicago Red Stars went to San Diego and scored a 3-0 win over the Wave (*Please see the editorial note below*) Grant talked about what he saw in Chicago's big away victory, then wondered aloud about the makeup of this Chicago side and how things might shake out in the playoffs.

Spotlight players

- Dino broke down the impact of Claire Hutton, the 18-year-old defensive midfielder for the Kansas City Current, who has been a stalwart for the club at the top of the table. Through a mix of consistency, good decision-making, and availability, Hutton is making a real mark on the league in her rookie campaign.

- Grant chose to spotlight Orlando Pride's Adriana and her weekend brace vs. Angel City FC. The Brazilian winger has been racking up good performances the past six weeks, and she could prove to be a pivotal piece in Orlando's chase for the NWSL Shield and the NWSL Championship.

We got some midweek NWSL action with Gotham FC beating the San Diego Wave 2-1 and Angel City FC beating Racing Louisville in a wild 3-2 finish on Wednesday.

We started with Gotham playing direct against the Wave and San Diego not having a lot of answers. Everyone loved Gotham's offseason moves, then they started slow. Now, the Bats are on a run, and they don't even have Lynn Williams and Esther González back yet.

And what the heck is going on in San Diego? We ask the question and try to find some answers before asking another question: Do they have to win vs. Houston Dash this weekend?

Next, we talked about Angel City FC doing their best Kendrick Lamar impression and coming out ready to fight vs. Racing Louisville. It was an impressive win for ACFC, but ask yourself: Which of those teams is more likely to make the playoffs?

Fans of the USWNT finally got to see 16-year-old Ajax midfielder Lily Yohannes on the field -- and she delivered.

In this episode, we forsake the idea of talking about a match in chronological order, and we go right to the 82' when Yohannes scored her first national team goal just 10 minutes after being subbed onto the pitch.

We discussed her incredible poise and confidence for a young player, as well as how she fit into the side. Plus, Dino put on his reporter hat and got a quote from the goal-scorer herself.

After about 48 hours to fully digest the UEFA Women's Champions League Final, Dino and Grant regained their composure and called on someone who was live in Bilbao for the match to help break it down one more time.

Barcelona has climbed the mountain for the second-consecutive year; this time, defeating fellow European powerhouse Lyon 2-0 in an intriguing match from start-to-finish.

Dino and Grant hopped online and recorded their immediate reaction right after the match, and we were joined by several of our favorite Internet pals from this UWCL journey.

Ajax midfielder, American Wonderkid, and Into the Channel-favorite Lily Yohannes has been named to the USWNT's upcoming squad for two friendlies against South Korea.

We jumped in the studio to record our instant-reaction to the news while trying to provide a little context around a 16-year-old American player competing at a high-level in Europe and getting such a serious look at the national team.

We also discussed the fascinating choice Yohannes has between USWNT and the Dutch national team. It's certainly a situation that women's football fans across the USA and the Netherlands will be monitoring.

USA will first take on South Korea at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on June 1; and the second friendly will be at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on June 4.

The Global Game certainly lived up to its name this past week.

In this episode, Dino and Grant talk about a couple of league-winners over in Europe before bouncing back stateside to cover a match of importance to both of them.

First, we discuss Lyon's victory over PSG in the D1 Arkema Final, which saw OL jump out to a 2-0 lead before PSG relied on its resilience and fantastic play from Tabita Chawinga to provide a pretty tight finish. There was plenty to get into from that match, and we tried to cover most of it.

Next, we hopped over to England, where Chelsea secured its fifth-straight WSL title with a dominant victory over Manchester United. We talked about the Blues' great performance, the impact of Mayra Ramirez, and the value of the team playing for Emma Hayes.

We also took a few minutes to let Grant get his sad-boy feelings out about his Manchester City squad winning their final match of the season, but also losing the title before his very eyes a few weeks back during their loss to Arsenal at Joie Stadium in Manchester.

And finally, we head back to our home country to discuss the "ITC Derby" between Seattle Reign FC and Orlando Pride. Where Dino's Pride took home a 3-2 victory in a match that had a surprisingly close scoreline, but also shined a light on each squad's strengths and weaknesses.

For the majority of clubs, we are 35 percent of the way through the NWSL season, and Dino and Grant have some thoughts about what we might see the rest of the way.

We started with the four favorites to win the NWSL Shield and discussed a relevant storyline related to each club:

Chelsea can lock up its fifth-consecutive league title in Emma Hayes' final match with the club with a win over Manchester United; but Manchester City is lurking if Chelsea falters.

Dino and Grant discuss Wednesday night's action and take a quick look at what's next for those six clubs.

Houston Dash vs. Gotham FC

Gotham FC was able to notch a road victory in H-Town, and they're starting to show some signs of life after a slow start, but are they really the juggernaut everyone thought they'd be after their noisy offseason? Meanwhile, the Dash are hardly living up to their name offensively. What's next for this new ITC darling?

Seattle Reign FC vs. Kansas City Current

It was a physical battle in the Emerald City, and it also turned out to be a showcase for the Reign's backup goalkeeper Laurel Ivory. How did the Reign manage to contain the Current's explosive attack? Grant was in the building and asked Laura Harvey that exact question.

San Diego Wave FC vs. Utah Royals

Jaedyn Shaw looked like the best player on the pitch, but what else is new? The Wave have won two of their last three matches and have their goal differential back on the right side of zero. Utah is looking like an expansion club, but there's still multiple things to be excited about in Salt Lake City.

In this special WSL-focused episode of Into the Channel, Dino and Grant take a look at the title race across the pond.

First, we quickly recap Chelsea's mid-week stumble vs. Liverpool and the idea that the Blues were gasping for air on their way to the finish line.

Then, we cover Manchester City's devastating home loss to Arsenal, with a little extra reporting by Grant, who was in the building at Joie Stadium for the match.

The UEFA Women's Champions League Final is set. And even though plenty of people expected Barcelona to face off against Lyon for the trophy, neither club had an "easy" road to get here.

In this episode, Dino and Grant first talk about Barcelona's 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We dove into the interesting lineup and formation changes Barca made, the Aitana Bonmatí masterclass, and yeah, the red card and general officiating woes.

We made sure to pay homage to Chelsea, who were worthy contenders throughout the tournament.

Next, we broke down Lyon's business-like 2-1 victory over French rivals PSG. We've talked a lot about Lyon scoring early, but the past few matches have shown they've been saving goals for later, too. What does that mean?

And, of course, we bid farewell to another one of our new favorite clubs, but we'll continue to keep an eye on PSG as they make their way through the Division 1 Arkema playoffs in league-play.

Well, we thought the first-leg matches of the UEFA Women's Champions League were going to be bangers, and we've never been more correct about anything in the history of this show.

To start the show, we tackled Chelsea's incredible 1-0 victory over Barcelona in Spain (!!!), where the Blues were able to neutralize Barca's key attacking players.

We talked about the great work from Jess Carter, Ashley Lawrence, Kadeisha Buchanan, and Niamh Charles in the back. And you know we had to discuss Erin Cuthbert's brilliant goal, which not only gave Chelsea the victory, but netted Cuthbert a unique honor that has her standing alone in football history (for now).

If that match wasn't dizzying enough, we head over to France to discuss an instant contender for match of the year: Lyon storming back from 0-2 down to win 3-2 in the final moments of the match.

We discussed what worked for PSG for the majority of the match -- Sakina Karchoui, Tabitha Chawinga, Marie Antoinette Katoto, Sandy Baltimore -- and then we talked about where things went terribly, terribly wrong for them.

On the Lyon side, we dove into Manager Sonia Bompastor's timely substitutions; the run of goals from Kadidatou Diani, Melchie Dumornay, and Amel Majri; the idea of a club having "the heart of a champion;" and Majri's "call me" celebration.

The first leg of the UEFA Women's Champions League Semifinals are Saturday.

Dino and Grant take a look at the recent form of the four clubs still battling for the coveted UWCL trophy.

We started with Barcelona, fresh off some dominating victories in Liga F, and talked about all the factors opponents need to beat them.

We then moved to London to take about those Chelsea Blues, who have had some uncharacteristic stumbles in two domestic tournaments.

Next, we traveled to Décines-Charpieu to talk about Lyon. We shouted out Vicki Becho's recent form in league play in their recent match vs. St. Etienne. And, of course, we addressed the rumor that Lyon manager Sonia Bompastor has been tabbed as the next manager for Chelsea Football Club.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, we talked about PSG's superstar talent all across the pitch and the challenges they presented Lyon in their last league match that ended in a 1-1 draw in Lyon's house.

Hello, friends.

The USWNT won the SheBelieves Cup with victories over Japan and Canada. We talked about our beloved 4-2-3-1 formation, the terrifying sight of a potential Naomi Girma injury (she is day-to-day, based on the last report), the Shaw-Horan combo in midfield, and many other things from those two matches. Make room in the trophy case, USWNT.

After that, we worked together to build an Olympic roster the only way two bros who love traditional sports media can: DRAFT STYLE.

We took turns picking players to build the team, and on a tight roster of 16 non-goalkeeper spots, tough decisions had to be made.

Later, we discussed the 2025 Women's Euro qualifiers, where 28 teams compete to be part of the 16-team tournament. We talked a little about Norway (of course), and then we covered what we saw in the Sweden-France match that featured a couple of red cards and a Wendie Renard goal.

Finally, we discussed the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Copper Queens of Zambia qualifying for the Olympics and filling out a phenomenal pool of teams in the Summer Games.

The quarterfinals of the UEFA Women's Champions League is complete, and while we're excited to watch four incredible clubs compete in the semifinals, we spend a good chunk of this episode memorializing the four incredible clubs who've been eliminated.

We start, where else, in Bergen, Norway. We honor the club and the Brann Battalion, but please remember, this isn't "goodbye;" it's merely a "see ya later."

Then, we discuss Ajax's elimination after a 1-1 draw in London. With a combination of young players and a historic club, we know we'll be seeing them again soon.

Benfica, Benfica, Benfica -- you brought us such joy. From Kika Magic to incredible neck tattoos, to hard-nosed defense, we're looking forward to watching this squad continue to progress.

Speaking of hard-nosed defense, we spent some time discussing BK Häcken's incredible back line and goalkeeper Jennifer Falk. From the great atmosphere in Gothenburg, to the pair of dynamic 20-year-old attackers, this squad is setup for long-term success.

We also sprinkled in talk about the upcoming slugfests between Barcelona-Chelsea and Lyon-PSG. Stay tuned, as we'll have a full, proper preview of the semifinals before those kickoff.

The first leg of the UEFA Women's Champions League Quarterfinals is in the books, and they were a magical group of fixtures.

We start, where else, in Bergen, Norway -- where SK Brann gave everything they had in a 2-1 loss to the most talented side in the world: Barcelona. We dive deep into this one, covering the brave effort from Aurora Mikalsen, the toughness of Karoline Haughland (The Terminator), Signe Gaupset, and of course, Cecilie Redisch Kvamme.

After that, we talk about Chelsea's convincing 3-0 victory over Ajax in Amsterdam, and how a couple of bounces could have sent this match in a different direction.

Next, we head to Lisbon to talk about Benfica's heartbreaking, valiant effort vs. Lyon. There's no wondering about this match: There was definitely a key moment that could have changed the result.

But before that, we took a brief detour to ask Cam about his work at Manchester United TV, where he was on the call for Sunday's epic (men's) FA Cup Quarterfinal at Old Trafford between United and Liverpool. (If you didn't see what happened, do yourself a favor and find the replay or the highlights.)

With that out of the way, Cam gave us great insight into how Barcelona is coping with a series of injuries, how the squad is still finding a way to put up 7-goal performances, and what they're doing to patch together a defense with all-world defender Mapi Leon sidelined with her knee injury.

Then we get into the good stuff: Dino and Grant let their Brann colors show and try to ask Cam leading questions about how Brann can win. (He's too good of a professional to take us seriously, but he still provided great info.)

We discussed what jumped out to him in his early scouting of Brann and the Brann Battalion, Signe Gaupset's poise and power for a young player, and why Marit Lund is a player to watch vs. Barcelona.
