Welcome to this 15-minute yoga nidra meditation to help you create a regulated nervous system by training your brain to seek out moments of joy. You may have heard this as learning how to find glimmers in your day.
Glimmers are small moments of joy or peace that can help regulate the nervous system and promote feelings of safety and calm. They can be anything from a place you've been to, a place you've only seen in pictures, or a place you've only imagined.
Social worker Deb Dana first introduced the concept of glimmers in her 2018 book The Polyvagal Theory in Therapy. Glimmers are the opposite of triggers, which are people, places, things, or situations that can create a sense of danger and activate the nervous system's fight, flight, or freeze response. Noticing and appreciating glimmers can help build emotional resilience and develop a less reactive nervous system. Over time, the brain can be trained to seek out moments of joy in every situation, leading to a more peaceful way of being.
This meditation makes it easier for you to train your brain to seek these moments out, because of the deep state of peace and rest you enter into during the yoga nidra practice. During yoga nidra your brain slowly enters slower brainwave states giving you access to the parts of your brain that help you make lasting change.

Welcome to this Vagus Nerve Support Meditation, a 25-minute yoga nidra practice guided by Loren Runion.
This practice has been created to help you support the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is your 10th cranial nerve and plays a large role in the parasympathetic nervous system and relaxation. We support and tone this nerve by doing practices that utilize the nerve and therefore create more "traffic" along the nerve.
It works a lot like a muscle. The more you do nourishing practices that support accessing a calm state the easier it is for your body to reach these states and come back to a state of balance.

Slowing Down Your Mind- 30 Minute Yoga Nidra Meditation
This meditation is an invitation to explore slowing down the brain, slowing down the mind from beta to alpha, and hopefully into a theta brainwave length state.
In order for us to learn to live as our True Self and relearn how to come back to who we truly are, we have to slow down. Right now you are in a beta brainwave length state, but in order to heal, create change, and connect with your True self, you have to slow down the brain waves from beta to alpha or even theta brainwaves. This is where we have access to the subconscious mind and can make permanent changes in our brain, our state of being, and our nervous system.
