2K has published an official apology for its use of unskippable ads during loading screens but that by itself isn’t enough to stave off the impending doom of an in game ad apocalypse. Twitch began deleting thousands of videos due to a series of DMCA notices the company received and streamers are pissed. Nintendo removed MineCraft Steve’s victory screen from Super Smash Bros. Nintendo announced their next big fighter to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster and it is none other than Minecraft Steve! And also Alex, Enderman, and Zombie. But mostly Steve! In the announcement video, Masahiro Sakurai seemed more than a bit upset at the addition, even throwing Nintendo itself under the bus hinting they almost forced him to do it! Cyberpunk 2077 developers CD Projekt Red has repeatedly stated they would not be forcing crunch on their employees. Well a year later, it’s all a lie! In a recent statement, and with much regret, the studio heads announced that for the next six weeks leading up to the launch of the game everyone would be pulling six-day work weeks to get the game across the finish line. The Xbox Series X is in the hands of some lucky industry folks and we now know just how fast it is at running last generation games. And it is very very fast. But is this enough to convince everyone to upgrade to the new hardware over Sony’s PlayStation 5? Speaking of Sony, Insomniac Games announced that they had recast the facial motion capture actor for Peter Parker in their upcoming remaster of the PlayStation 4 hit Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 5. Of course, the big news has us wondering… Will past and future games be locked to the Xbox Series X or the Xbox Series S in the near future? Will the next Skyrim or Fallout be playable on PS5? We’re taking a look at all those questions and more this week on Send News!  If the Bethesda buy out wasn’t enough, the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S pre orders went live on Tuesday and despite some subtle jabs from Phil Spencer and Xbox twitter it went about as well you’d expect - which is to say, not much better or worse than the PS5 pre order chaos. Set to hit iOS and and all your other favorite mobile devices Amazon hopes to take on Stadia and xCloud. Last but not least our final story is about a potential breach that could effect hundreds of thousands of Activision accounts and Call of Duty players. Many complaints have been surfacing about hacked accounts and credentials being swapped. Activision’s official word is that reports of a security breach so far have been inaccurate but it might be time to change that password just in case. PS5 pre order fever has hit the internet! Excited fans are taking digital retail outlets like Walmart and Target by storm as they buy up every PS5 the moment they become available. It’s not particularly a bad problem to have if you are Sony but if you’re looking to play Miles Morales or Demon’s Souls on a PS5 at launch you might have to work for it a little.
