BREAKING NEWS- The NY Giants surprised everyone tonight and signed 36 year old Quarterback Russell Wilson. After weeks of going after multiple veteran Quarterbacks and coming up empty the NY Giants have signed RussellWilson to a 1 year 10 million dollar guaranteed contract with the ability to earn up to $21 million. 

John and Eric take a look at what the Giants are doing onoffense and break the news that Russell Wilson was signed by the Giants. John and Eric take a look at the Giants Quarterback situation and what options the Giants have in Free Agency, Trades and the 2025 NFL Draft. Eric lays out his options from currently expected Free Agents (like Justin Fields) to potential Free Agents ( like Derek Carr) and then the Giants draft options (calling Shadeur Sanders). What option(s) does Eric seem to like or think the most likely for the Giants. John then lays out his options at Quarterback with possible trade targets( Stafford, Murray, Young), Free Agents (or possible Free Agents) like Aaron Rodgers, Sam Darnold, Jimmy G, Carson Wentz and Derek Carr. John and Eric debate the question WHAT IF, around what if the Minnesota Vikings offered up JJ McCarthy for the Giants #3 pick. Would you take that deal? Their answers may surprise you!

Inside BBI with John and Eric is LIVE for the first time. Today's live Podcast will be for and about the fans as they discuss the state of the Giants (more like 3rd world), how quiet things have been out of Giants headquarters and more talk about the Quarterback position (wait, you need one of those?).

Inside BBI with John and Eric takes a look at the changes to the coaching staff so far. Why did Jerome Henderson get shown the door? Are there any other staff changes we are expecting? How much is the current staff on notice for 2025? What does it say about Daboll as the Head Coach when he has had so much turnover on his staff since he was hired? Is the most recent change a way for Daboll and Bowen to have the coaches they want vs leftover coaches from Judge and Wink Martindale?

What is Mara thinking about bringing back Daboll and what could he be using as his reasoning? John mentions specifically Mara’s love of the past and using the past to help determine choices in the now. Could Mara see similarities in the 1983, 1996 and 2003 teams and the off seasons that led to playoff appearances in 1984 and 1997 and a resurgent Giants organization in 2004.

Then John and Eric look at the Giants roster and upcoming free agents. The discussion starts with a look at the salary cap and where the Giants are compared with other teams in the league. Being 13th in cap space is not bad but maybe not the big win that Joe Schoen wants you to believe. John and Eric discuss the fact that the Giants have ZERO QB’s under contract for 2025. They also discuss the fact that WR isn’t exactly a full compliment either with just Nabers, WDR and Hyatt under contract (of those WR’s who had a catch this past season). Darius Slayton is discussed including why John feels Slayton is and should be done with the Giants and the phrase that John puts on for Slayton’s exit (that made Eric laugh). Eric talks about how many Giants fans think a bigtime big money WR is needed in free agency and John offers the guy he thinks the Giants should try and sign.

Lots of talk on Evan Neal including Eric talking at length about what Neal used to be like and what he is like today. The talk about Andrew Thomas and his contract worthiness but with an injury history starting to look problematic. Then there is what do the Giants do with JMS at center and are we in the market for a new one?

How about the defense? How about Kayvon Thibodeaux, is he the right guy or should the Giants go after Abdul Carter? Hint- John and Eric both think Carter would be a perfect addition. What the DL outside of Lawrence, who do the Giants have and who will they get? Then there is CB and that starts with Banks.. Both John and Eric list Banks as the dog bomb player of the year for the Giants and a guy who is at a crossroads career wise. Can he turn things around with a new DB coach?

Who is being honest, who is being dishonest and quite frankly what does it all mean. Where do the Giants go from here? Will there be staff changes after Mara called out the Giants defense as NOT VERY GOOD. What about the play calling now that it seems obvious Daboll will not be doing it in 2025? John Mara has spoken- We Are getting The Band Back Together! Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are coming back as GM and HC of the NY Giants. John Mara could be the Dean at Greendale Community College or Regional Manager at Dunder Mifflin with his decision making prowess and business acumen! Where do the Giants go from here? Will there be changes to the staff (DC, OC - how about a new PR Director after today's Mara press conference)? Where will the Giants go QB wise and how much pressure is on Schoen and Daboll. UGH- Being a Giants fan is not easy and many times not rewarding!

Inside BBI with John and Eric take a look at this weekend’s game with the Eagles and why this game should be anything but a win. The Eagles will be playing their backups and backups to backups and the Giants should NOT try to win at ball costs here. Why a NY Giants win would not only be a false statement about the team and the coaching staff but how it could harm the Giants in the 2025 draft. Do the Giants get a shot at Sanders and Ward or do they knock themselves out of contention with a meaningless win against an Eagles team that quite frankly wants to hurt the Giants going forward more than they do in just one single game. Who are the three coaches that John and Eric think could be on the Giants radar if they fire Brian Daboll? Do you go with a Head Coaching retread, or do you go with a first-time candidate with huge potential but not much else to hang your hat on? Inside BBI with John and Eric take a look back at the NY Giants 45-33 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. The Brian Daboll coached NY Giants managed 45 points after averaging just over 14 pts a game up to that point. Malik Nabers continued to show why he was a high 1st rd draft pick with 7 recs for 171 yds and 2 tds. Nabers now has 104 rec on the season for over 1140 yds and 6 tds. Drew Lock had a big game throwing 4 TD passes and running in another. The look back also includes why so many fans are upset with the Giants victory- including the fact that the Giants went from the first pick in the draft to the 4th pick currently. Did this win cost the Giants a shot at QB's Shadeur Sanders or Cam Ward? Will this win force the Giants to spend extra picks in a trade up come April if they want Sanders or Ward? If the Giants go veteran QB could that be Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, Carson Wentz or even Andy Dalton? The discussion delves into the possibilities (whatever scraps are left available) and quite frankly the disappointments. Where do the Giants go from here? Is Joe Schoen coming back- it certainly appears so. Is Brian Daboll gone or will John Mara want to roll this whole thing back one more time with the Schoen/Daboll combo?
